Morning came to find Orchidae already awake and sitting down in the den that the others had gathered in the previous night. Her face, and all other visible skin, was a wide variety of colours from the abuse she'd taken the previous day, but she seemed to be alright considering. Most of the cuts and abraisions on her skin were already scarring, and she kept on flexing her left hand, getting used to how stiff the limb was from the broken, but healing, bone.
She seemed to be lost in thought as she stared silently out the window, perched as she was in a large leather chair, when Ken came into the room, wearing a large t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants, and he blinked in surprise at seeing her there so quiet.
"Um..Hey." She blinked and looked over at the ex-assassin, smiling just faintly at him.
"Hello. Ken, right?" At his nod she smiled a little more, though it seemed to be sad, and she went back to staring out the window, silent for a time before speaking once more, "I thought I was the only one awake.." She crossed her arms on the back of the chair, staring out the window still as she moved to rest her chin on her forearms.
"Yeah, me and Mamoru just got up. That's um..one of the two-"
"I know. Schu told me who you all were when we got here yesterday, I just wasn't exactly focused on introducing myself at the time." The slight sarcasm and cynical tone to her voice was a distinct change from how quiet and even forlorn it had sounded just moments before.
"Oh. Yeah...Heh. How..do you know Schuldig?" Ken found himself at a loss, trying to speak to this teenager, unable to look at her for long with her face bruised and slightly swollen like that. He felt a stab of sympathy and guilt for the girl being brought into this because of her parentage and knew that they could have prevented what had happened in there if they had just stopped those men instead.
"I've known him since I was just a kid. He and my father go..way back. They were trained together in Rosenkruz, being both telepaths. Schu is..like an uncle to me. He watched out for me whenever he was in Japan.." She sighed a bit and closed her eyes, thinking on her father and mother now. Especially her mother, remembering when she had come across her body there in her house.. She shivered a little bit and hid her eyes in her crossed arms, drawing in on herself. Ken took the hint that she didn't want to talk, and went over to her, resting a hand on her shoulder sympathetically before standing up and walking away, heading into the kitchen to get something to eat for himself and Mamoru.

When Ken brought breakfast up to Mamoru in their bedroom, he settled himself next to his lover and told him where Orchidae was. While they may need the girl, that didn't mean they entirely trusted her or Schuldig, and planned on keeping an eye on the two of them until they were sure about what was going on. With a few keystrokes, he accessed the cameras and microphones in the den, and began watching her, neither of them being very surprised when Schuldig walked into the room a couple minutes later, standing next to the girl and stroking her hair.
"You need to re-dye your hair, kiddo. It's starting to fade again.. And I don't think anyone here would be too happy to see that particular colour of hair on you." The telepath grinned at the girl as she lifted her head and chuckled, her smirk looking to be the mirror image of his own.
"Now why would you say something like that, Schu?" Her voice was practically dripping with sarcasm as she leaned against the older man, closing her eyes and looking almost like a little girl with how she settled herself against his side. "I also need to get a hold of my contacts; these ones are only temporary after all. Besides, I think I'd look great with bright green eyes this week, what do you think?" She grinned up at him, and Schuldig just laughed.
"Hey, it's up to you sweetie." He dropped his voice again, sounding more serious, though his eyes were twinkling with amusement, "I hope you know that your father isn't very pleased with you going off and getting the shit kicked out of you. And, naturally, he blamed me for it, even if it was your idea to let them get ahold of you."
The teen girl laughed and poked his side a bit, "That's because it's usually your fault when I get in trouble with you around, Schu. And you know it." She bit her lip and suddenly looked serious and more than a little upset, "Besides... You can't really blame him. After mom was killed, you know how worried he's been over me. And that was only a little over a week ago..." She crossed her arms, hugging them around herself even as Schuldig wrapped his arms around her, planting an affectionate kiss on her hair.
"I know, 'Dae, I know. And they'll pay for it, I promise. It's why we're here, right?" She looked up at him with tears in her eyes and just nodded once, hugging the older man tightly around the waist as she fought back tears.

Ken and Mamoru looked up as their bedroom door opened and closed, admitting Ran, who looked as though he hadn't slept at all through the night. He walked over to where the two of them were seated in front of a few monitors, and watched both Orchidae and Schuldig, his eyes narrowing at how close the two of them seemed to be. It certainly seemed like they knew each other much better than two people that had only met a handful of times through the girl's father.
"What's been going on?" His voice was soft but cold as he spoke, his eyes never leaving the screen as Schuldig held the teenage girl, staring out the window she'd been looking out just moments before in complete silence. Either the'd finished talking for now, or were continuing the rest of their 'discussion' through telepathy.
"They were talking about her dying her hair and getting contacts, and then they started talking about her father and mother. Apparently her mother was killed rather recently as well, and.." Ken trailed off and looked at Mamoru, both of them frowning and looking almost worried about something as the younger of the two turned to look at the ex-swordsman.
"From the sounds of things, she knew that the men were coming for her, that you guys were there waiting for her, and that she was going to be drugged. Schuldig said her father was blaming him, even though it had been apparently her idea in the first place. Schuldig and this Derrick Fuchs have been in contact, probably telepathically." Ran frowned even more and watched the two of them as they remained almost completely motionless on the screen, staring almost blankly ahead the whole time.
After an almost endless silence in the room there, there was a sudden flurry of movement. Orchidae suddenly flew out of her chair to huddle in the corner, screaming, and Schuldig fell to his knees, clutching his head with a pained cry, his eyes clenched shut. With a suddenness that surprised the three former men of Weiß, Nagi ran into the room, lifting Schuldig onto the plush couch with his powers as he went to Orchidae, trying to calm her with words too soft for them to hear.
It took a moment before the men could finally react, and the three of them ran into the room, staring as Orchidae suddenly launched herself at Nagi, her face buried in his shoulder as she cried. He held her in his arms, lifting her up and, with only a glance at the other men there, went to Schuldig on the couch and put her down next to him, at which point her tears were instantly transferred to Schuldig's shirt. The flame-haired man looked to be in pain as he moved a hand to Orchidae's hair, stroking it as if to comfort her. Nagi patted the girl's shoulder gently before standing up and walking to the three men at the doorway, motioning for them to leave the room.
The moment the door was closed behind the four of them, the youngest of the four there was bombarded with questions, all of which were answered with a mere annoyed glance until they stopped.
"I'm not entirely sure what happened, I just know that they're both hurting. Prolonged...exposure, I guess you could say, with Schuldig's telepathy as Schwarz has lead to us being able to sense each other even when we're not really connected. I merely knew something was gravely wrong." The blue-eyed man glanced toward the doorway and frowned, looking concerned, "For them to both be affected like that, something must have happened to.. Derrick. Schuldig and he were close, despite what he'd told you." Obviously, the younger man was still hiding something, but after a glance to Ran, Mamoru figured it would be alright to let it rest for now. Their former leader looked sympathetic; if something had happened to Derrick, then Orchidae was all alone but for Schuldig, and that the man could understand easily.
"We should leave them alone for now then. Nagi, you will let us know when they are ready to tell us what happened." Thought it sounded like a command, Nagi nodded to the request, since it was really for the best that they be told what happened. Nagi knew exactly what happened from Orchidae's mournful, tear-filled words, all too quiet for the others to have possibly heard, but he would leave it to those two to tell it. It wasn't his place.

A/N: Okay, that was all rather sudden, not really..as fluid as I'd have liked at all, but it's done. I guess I'll just settle for that. I'm trying not to hurry things too much, but it's hard to resist the urge to just skip ahead to the parts I've got stuck in my head right about now hehe. Well I hope you enjoyed, please R&R.
