Weiss Kreuz Fan Fiction ❯ Demonology 101 ❯ Chapter 1

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Lordy, it's been too long since I've published anything new (most of what I've stuck up on Mediaminer.org is older stuff that's being republished, since fanfiction.net is evil nowadays.

A quick 'Thank You' is in order for everyone who's read and reviewed "About Demons", the story that precedes this one.
I also strongly suggest that you read "About Demons" before you read this, otherwise it won't make a whole lot of sense.

--An excerpt from the Journal of Fujimiya Ran--

I've complained on and off about Schwartz ever since we 'acquired' Naeo Nagi and went on truce with them, for Nagi's sake. They've finally come to terms with the sanity that actually exits in the man they know as Farfello.

Jei is an interesting Vampire, He actually takes the time to keep track of the Were-creatures in the area. Though, I think that might have started with Schuldig began hanging around with a few members of the lock Were-fox tribe.

Were-foxes are not trustworthy. They're conniving little bastards who do what they want, when the want and will take down anyone who gets in their way.

Come to think of it... They're a lot like Schuldig, he must fit right in.

--An excerpt from the Journal of Kudou Youji--

I'm starting to think Ran has gone nuts. He's been letting that Schwartz psychopath come over all the time. I don't care that he's on e of the oldest Vampires in Japan. He's still that Schwartz bastard.

I know that Omi isn't happy about him being around, but Nagi seems pleased to have him around so much, even if he's still too blood-mad to show it normally. Poor Ken is torn between the two of their differing opinions on the matter.

Blasted Farfello, Jei if you call him what he told Ran is true, is here right now. He and Ran are downstairs. I'm up here, writing because I don't want to put up with that arrogant yellow eyed freak.

Thinking of Yellow eyes, Have I mentioned that Ran finally explained to me why my eye color isn't changing in the same way as everyone else's? Apparently Green or brown eyes down settle with blood, instead the pigment looses it's color and they bleach to amber then yellow.

I hear Ran coming up the stairs. He usually tells me why Farfello came, even when I don't ask him what happened. He's gotten a lot more sharing during the last few years since the rest of us got turned. The Ran we have today is hard to equate with the Aya of our Weiss Years. They're very alike but so very different.

--An excerpt from the Journal of Tsukiyono Omi--

Jei was around again today. He only talked to Nagi for a little while, but spent almost an hour talking to Ran. I think something is up. But it's good that I'm starting to notice things other than heartbeats. Ran says I'm through the worst of the Blood-madness. Jei seemed upset, if you're using his standards, and Farfello upset is a strange thing to see.

Nagi says Farfello is coming back tonight, but Jei wouldn't tell him why he was coming. AND Ran just asked us to fix up both of the guestrooms.

This is as crazy as when we faked out deaths to get away from Krickter. But we did have to cover up my sudden and unexplainable growth spurt.

This is actually a lot like what Ran did then, too. He didn't actually let anyone else in on what was going on. It's as annoying as hell and I don't see why he isn't more up front with all of us. Not knowing drives me nuts.

--An excerpt from the Journal of Hidaka Ken--

Stupid Ran.

He should have told me and Nagi and Omi what Jei had come to him about.

It's not that I LIKE Jei or anything. I mean, he's the same Farfello that we've fought with time and time again. But warning Nagi so that he wouldn't have had a growling fit when Bradley Crawford was carried into the house would have been nice.

That's right, Jei carried Crawford into our house today, followed by a very upset Schuldig who's got his arm in a sling. It wasn't until both Schuldig and Crawford were tucked into one of the Guestrooms that Ran dragged all of us down to the living room.

This is when we finally got to find out what had happened to the two of them. Schuldig is friends with a group of Were-foxes. They've decided that they really like him, and that they would make him one of them. Omi immediately wanted to know how a Were-creature is made. But he's always been fascinated with how supernatural species spread what they are. Anyways, one of these Were-foxes decided to make Schuu a part of their family, and they broke into the Schwartz house. They came across Crawford first, and tried to kill him. He fought back with a letter opening that was on his desk. They must have knocked him out and moved on to Schuldig. Jei wants us to help him guard against the Foxes coming back for Schuldig.

Stupid Schwartz.

--An excerpt from the Journal of Tsukiyono Omi--

Were-creatures transmit their Lycanthropy, which is basically an infection, through several means. Like vampirism, Lycanthropy's primary method of transfer is blood. In addition, it is carried in the sexual fluids.

In short - Supernatural Aids.

Jei and Ran are almost one hundred percent certain that Schuldig, who's real name is Christian, has been infected. By the next full moon we'll all know for certain, because if he is infected he won't be able to fight the change yet.

Weather or not Crawford is infected is harder to tell. He fought back with a letter opening when the Were-foxes attacked him. They may have accidentally exposed Crawford. Schuldig was definitely exposed, they just tore his arm open and bled on the wound.

Schuldig should have listened to Jei about hanging around with a bunch of Were-foxes. The born ones (Lycanthropes can be born the way they are) are crazy and don't care what they do so long as they get what they want.

--An Excerpt from the Journal of Fujimiya Ran--

That went over better than I'd expected it to. Ken, Omi, and Youji aren't completely happy with me for offering Jei and his humans a place to stay that the Were-foxes don't know about. Ken is the most annoyed, and Omi is a close second, but they've both got personal issues with Jei. Youji isn't really angry over who were letting stay with us, it was more that I didn't talk to anyone about it before I said yes. All afternoon he's been ranting are me over this. But I guess it's good that my Beta cares about weather or not he's being given his just say. I really should include him properly, since he has become my second in command. I've never had a dependable Beta before, during any of my other stints are pack leader.

Gods is is strange to think of Youji as dependable. Should make keeping order in the pack that much simpler, though.

Lordy.. This need's editing... It's a work in progress, methinks.
