Chapter 15
Mid-Afternoon Meanderings
"You know, you didn't have to come with me, Omi," Yohji said as the two of them walked down the sidewalk towards the Saiyan's Tail to pick up Yohji's car.
The smaller blonde had offered to take them on his motor scooter, but the ex-Detective had declined saying he needed the exercise. Not for anything would he tell the youngest Weiss member that he wouldn't be caught dead on the back of that scooter no matter how top of the line it was. Omi was as proud of it as Yohji was of his roadster and Ken was of his motorcycle and he'd never spoil that for him. So he'd said that he needed the chance to stretch his legs after spending all day putting together phone order arrangements in the closed shop.
Truthfully he did need to get out and walk, the cravings for a cigarette had been growing all day. But they weren't so strong that he couldn't ignore them if he kept busy and active. He was afraid that he wasn't going to make it through the night, though and he rolled his eyes thinking of the lecture he would get from Ken and Omi for not having more will power.
"No way Yohji," Omi replied firmly, staring up at his friend. "You are not leaving me alone in the shop just in case your boyfriend comes back."
"Omi, he wouldn't hurt you I'm sure of that," the older man sighed; they'd been half-heartedly bickering all day about what had happened that morning.
"Maybe not, but I'm not letting you out of my site either. One person might not be able to fight these death angels. But maybe two could," the teenager answered.
"No!" Yohji growled softly turning on Omi his eyes furious. "If they come and Enzeru isn't here then you stay out of it. Run. I won't risk them killing you too."
Omi didn't answer and Yohji hissed, clenching his fists and walked on picking up his pace. He didn't regret meeting Enzeru, he couldn't. But he did regret bringing possible danger to his friends and he knew them both. He could argue and spout orders until he was blue in the face but in the end they'd do what they wanted. With Aya gone Omi was more their leader than he was any way.
Feeling the old familiar ache he ripped the cigarette packet out of his jacket pocket and snatched one out. Then he stopped and stared at it for a second before crushing it in his fist. He wasn't going to let the hurt dictate to him anymore. It was time he let go and moved on. He dropped the packet and the mess in the first garbage can they came to and kept walking without a backward glance and no regrets.
Omi walked a step or two behind knowing his friend was angry with him. They'd been friends, almost brothers; long enough that it was easy to read the older blonde sometimes. But he refused to give in on this. He couldn't stand by and watch Yohji die any more than the older man wanted to see him killed. He frowned seeing the cigarette packet come out. He'd been hoping that the older man would be able to quit, he kicked himself for upsetting him and not just agreeing and then doing what he wanted. His eyes widened as he watched the ex-Detective suddenly crush the cigarette in his fist. And when he dumped it and the packet in a garbage can they passed the smaller blonde let out a soft, "Yosh."
"Is that the bar?" he asked walking a bit faster and coming even with the older man.
Yohji looked in the direction that Omi was pointing and nodded. "Yeah, damn, it already looks busy."
"Well you did say that they were popular," the smaller blonde commented.
"It was pretty crowded…" Yohji broke off and a smile curved his lips as he saw his lover coming out of the bar and turning in their direction. He dug in his pocket and fished out his keys, thrusting them at the other blonde.
"Yohji?" Omi stared at the older man in surprise.
"You've got your license with you, right?" the taller man asked.
"Yeah, but…" the teen said.
"Good, will you drive my car home? I'll come home later," the ex-Detective told him as he raised a hand to wave at Enzeru.
Omi grinned broadly. "Sure. Have fun," he answered as he started for the car on the next block. He wanted to get there and leave before Yohji had the chance to come to his senses and change his mind.
"Not one scratch, Omi," Yohji mock growled at the retreating boy and smiled when the younger blonde made a victory sign over his shoulder to show he'd heard. Then the tall man shoved his hands in his pockets and started walking towards his lover.

Enzeru had cleaned himself as best he could in the confines of the small shower stall. His wounds were almost healed, but as he walked into the bar at the Saiyan Tales, he felt many curious looks come his way. He flashed his still elongated and sharp canines at the onlookers with a devilish grin and walked out into the fading sunlight.
Once outside, he stretched his wings behind him, his arms going over his head. His hunger was now satisfied for the day at least. His tongue ring began its usual play with his lips as he began to walk down the street, thinking of his two lovers. He was curious to see Yohji's reaction to not only his wounds, but also the fact that he had mated with another. The vampire was in no danger from his `brothers'; he was already dead after all.
His tongue stud clinked across his canine and brought him out of his thoughts. He looked up then at a familiar presence. He smiled broadly as Yohji waved to him and Omi ran the other way excitedly. He nodded in response to his lovers' hello and stalked forward, grabbing Yohji's upper arms in a firm grip and pulled him into an alley. He pressed his still hard body against Yohji's as he was pressed against the brick of the building behind him.
Without a word, Enzeru took his lovers lips in a deep kiss, plunging his tongue into the other man's mouth at his gasp of surprise. His teeth scraped Yohji's lips and he pulled back quickly, not wanting to taste the blood, but not wanting to stop. With a wide grin, he gazed into Yohji's green eyes, his fangs flashing in the sunlight.
"Hello, Yohji." He said in a husky voice.
Yohji walked forward to meet Enzeru halfway, but was unprepared when his lover grabbed him and pulled him into the alleyway beside them. He gasped as he was pushed hard against the brick, the angel's hard body pressed tight against him holding him there.
Warm lips closed over his, the other man's tongue claiming him in a deep possessive kiss. Yohji groaned as his lover's teeth scraped along his lips and he tasted blood. He sucked in a deep breath as the dark eyed angel pulled back and grinned down out him. His eyes widened slightly as he saw the sharp teeth and realized how his lip had been cut.
::::: "Hello, Yohji." He said in a husky voice.:::::
His tongue snuck out, licking at the blood on his mouth and he smiled. "Hi, yourself," he murmured and leaned forward to kiss the angel again.
Enzeru groaned as he was pulled back into the kiss. The taste of Yohji's sweet blood on his lips made his body ache for more. Before he could hold back, he gripped Yohji's hair and lapped at the blood. He turned the blondes head to the side as the angel licked a trial from his collarbone to his ear, then set his lips against the pulse at the junction of the mans neck. he opened his mouth and bit lightly, the small trickle of blood that washed over his tongue was enough to make him cry out against the soft flesh of his lover. He ground their hips together and then suddenly released Yohji and stepped away, panting and licking at the blood on his lips.
"Until I feed, I can't do this." He shook his head in apology.
