It easier to run
Replacing this pain with something numb
It's so much easier to go
Than face all this pain all alone

He felt the frozen grip of fear cover him as he stared into the fathomless eyes of Naoe Nagi who stood before him, just blocking the view of a grinning Farfarfello who only grinned and licked his blade slowly, and Schuldig who sat upon the top of the couch grinning. He saw the faint silhouette of Crawford somewhere in the background. Possibly looking at the European immigrants with a knowing look and a neutral look on his face, yet inwardly congratulating them.

He looked back to Nagi who was slowly pushing inside the doorway farther from the now openly amused telepath who only pulled Farfarfello away from shadowing Nagi and entering the room as well. Nagi held the strong sense of indifference and a hint of anger at the way Farfarfello was acting. He removed himself from Nagi's pull and let the younger boy close the door behind him. Nagi turned and went to the desk and withdrew the chair and positioned it in front of Omi and few feet away.

"Schuldig said I would be the best person to talk to, while you currently stay with us."
"He said that?"
:Yes, I did. Enjoy his company, he will the closest you get to Koneko…:
:Koneko will never fully understood me:
:Why is that?:
:No one knows about me truly.:

Something has been taken
From deep inside of me
A secret I've kept locked away
No one can ever see
Wounds so deep they never show
They never go away
Like moving pictures in my head
For years and years they play

Chp. 5-Easier to Run

Omi sighed as he turned away from Nagi, and crawled toward the warm window panes as the dying sun began to set. The twilight poured softly into the room, filling the entire room with some unneeded light. Omi leaned against the window panes, legs curled up next him, his head lying upon the glass as he looked out side toward the people of the night that began to emerge. He looked wistfully as they contrasted dramatically to those of the business suits, then to that of leather, vinyl and silver. Omi breathed deeply almost breathing in the scent of their clothes. He heard Nagi move from the chair, and sit across from him, looking at him and turn his directions toward the people far below.

"Were you once like them, Bombay? Happy, carefree not a care in the world?"
"I believe I was, even with the Takatori clan. I have faint memories of those times, the therapist Persia sent me to, said I had buried the memories. She said I would only get them in spades."
"I didn't think kidnapping would do that someone."
Omi shifted uncomfortable at the words, as Nagi turned and looked at him. Inwardly cursing himself for saying something like that to the weaker person.
"I'm not surprised that's the only thing you know about it. Other things happened during my stay."

If I could change I would
Take back the pain I would
Retrace ever wrong move that I made I would
If I could
Stand up and take the blame I would
If I could take all the shame to the grave I would

Nagi immediately stopped his train of thought just as he let his defenses down and Schuldig enter his mind. Urging him to talk to him, and not interrogate him. Nagi pushed him far away, praying he knew what he was doing.
"They're many things people do not know of me. To tell you the truth, I've blocked many things of my past. Schuldig erased some here and there, yet I remember spades of it just like you."
He saw Omi's curiosity peek at knowing something about him, Nagi felt more comfortable and relaxed a bit and continued further.
"I remember my mother, she is one of my more vivid memories. She was really tall from my eyes since I was so small back then. She always smiled and laughed, always played with me. She looked nothing like me though, she had green eyes and white hair. She always called me 'Neko', surprisingly. My father was who I truly took after. He was tall as Farfarfello back then, short brown hair and my eyes. I was definitely his son."
"My father disappeared though, leaving me with my mother. I missed him desperately, but my mother always told me he was just gone on a small trip. He never did come back; my mother always held a brave smile but I already knew that my father was in an affair."

Nagi suddenly froze, as Omi pulled himself closer to Nagi and leaned upon him. His head resting upon his shoulder, arms encircling him, Omi wistfully smiled.

"Continue Nagi…forget about me."
"Why are you holding onto me."
"I fear that I'm falling away from everything."
"Falling away? I feel like I'm standing in a cold door, the scenes your saying I see them before me and around me. There like television screens, everywhere I look I see a different image, they look all real, and all true. A Tunnel of Memories, I used to call it. Please continue…"
"What do you see now?"
"What you are telling me and scenes involving you that I don't understand, I feel, smell and feel you just I feel like I'm not here at all. Please...continue…"
"What do you see, tell me."
"Why?"
"Just show me…."
"Which one do you want me to choose, I'm standing there, what screen? I've chosen one."

Nagi heard Omi suck in a sharp intake of breathe, his body tense and suddenly relax. Omi rubbed his head against Nagi's, which tried to move away. Omi's hand groped for Nagi's, enclosing his around Nagi's, he slowly spoke.
"I see you inside a church, they're many candles, you sit upon a pew. You slowly watch a sermon given by that of a Nun. That's all I see."
"Omi…"
"Yes, Nagi-kun?"
"Do you want to know of how I got my power?"
"How Nagi-kun?"
"My mother, my mother was being attacked. I was so scared about her, suddenly everything began to shatter. The ground shook violently, I wanted it to stop but I couldn't, it only grew more powerful. The glass impaled the man's neck, he died slowly as I stood over him, and everything stopped. My Mother knew I had done it…she yelled at me, and hit me. I remember her clearly, she called me a devil and that I would go to hell. She threw me out, it as snowing. It was freezing, I had no where to go, I was in so much pain, from what she had done. She stood on the porch…and her head…exploded."

"You went to the church Nagi…you had a new family…The Sister and Natsuki, then Ken came to kill the sister, during this time period Crawford came asked about you. Later on…Crawford came and took you to Estet."
"How do you know…?"
"I see it…"
"How did you get this power, Omi."
"Promise not to tell anyone?"

Sometimes I remember
The darkness of my past
Bringing back these memories
I wish I didn't have
Sometimes I think of letting go
And never look back
And never moving forward so
There would never be a past

:Nagi…he…:
:Schuldig, no.:
:We must tell Crawford:
:Why must we?:
:Your power is reacting to him, strengthing him:
:Into what?:
:A Postcognitive…the opposite of Crawford, you're power and him able to touch you, he's feeling currents of the past-:
:Estet mustn't know…not Crawford..:
:Crawford must know, he an help him!:
:No Estet.:
:Nagi-:
:Promise me.:
:We won't tell.:

"Nagi will you help me?"
"Uh? Help you with what Omi?"
"Help me control myself."
"Control yourself how?"
"It started when I was kidnapped, everyone has a gift, yet something must reawaken this power hibernating in us? Correct?"
"Yes Omi but…"
"I was just…"Omi looked up at him, he saw the dab of tears beginning to claim the windows of his soul, Nagi told him to continue and Omi squeezed tighter.
"They called me their little porcelain doll…their pleasure toy. That's what they used me for when Reiji wouldn't pay the ransom. I couldn't take it, I would always try to run and hide yet they laughed. They always had control over me. I was so afraid then but yet in the end, I didn't fight and tried only to please them for that short two weeks that seemed an eternity."
"I thought Persia was an illusion really, I didn't believe that he was there to help me but-"

Omi didn't say anymore, he just began to cry into Nagi's neck, unable to control himself. Nagi gasped, as Omi suddenly forced the breath out of his lungs, and his eyes opened wide as the memories he hide away and Schuldig removed flashed before him in a rapid pace, Omi's also appeared before him.

:Nagi! Get him off of you!:
"Omi...stop…"
"Why..?"

Just washing it aside
All of the helplessness aside
Pretending I don't feel misplaced
Is so much simpler than change

"Nagi…"
"Omi…you need to let go…you're sending me…"
"Kuso…"
Omi shot off of Nagi and flew to the other side of the bed by Nagi's telekinetic power, and landing upon the old pillow. Nagi seemed paler than normal, his eyes glazed over, his body shivering as if freezing. Omi stared in uncertainty and tried to hide in the corner, as Schuldig entered, Crawford beside him.

Schuldig took a hold of Nagi, and looked at him, his thumbs pressing Nagi's temples forcing himself through Nagi's mental barriers. Crawford took a hold over Omi and dragged him out the room into Farfarfello's waiting arms. Farfarfello sat upon the floor waiting in earnest. Farfarfello's embrace was warm, yet cold, his breathe warm yet bone chilling. Farfarfello muttered words of those he had slain, filling Omi's head with those images instead those of Nagi's. Omi began to sob helplessly in the embrace. Crawford studied him as he sat stood beside him.

"I didn't mean to…please stop…"
"What do you see?"
"…St-"
"What do you see?"
The voice was more commanding, and Omi sobbed even harder into Farfarfello who only smiled and rubbed his chin into the strawberry blonde hair, Omi closed his eyes and began to whimper.

"You see, why I must hurt God, little angel?"
"If an-angel, has bl-black wings, I will be missed by God!" "Do you have black wings?"
"Yes…"
"And what do I have?"
"The same…yet you are drenched in blood of God…" "You see this?" Crawford cut in.
"I don't know! I just do!" Omi was becoming hysterical, as he was still in the arms of Farfarfello, the mental images running into a faster pace.
"Do you see the blood of the first priest?" "He prayed not to die, he has no faith."
"Correct, my little kitten." In response Omi cuddle closer to Farfarfello who looked perplex.
"I understand you perfectly…Aya is so similar to you…"
"How is that so?"

"He once told me, 'God Hurts Those He loves', and yet there is no love, only punishment, never love. We are all demons not angels."
Crawford had enough, he moved away from the two and left to his room. Schuldig appeared at the doorframe, upon seeing Crawford leaving toward his office he stopped him.

"Don't call them."
"Why not, Schuldig?"
"I promised Nagi, you would help him. Don't call them." "Fine, let him stay with Farfarfello tonight."
"What?!"
"They enough each other."
Schuldig turned and looked at Farfarfello, who held Omi tightly in his embrace, and Omi who only cuddle into it.It's easier to run
