Chapter 12

"You guys have got to stop doing that," Michiel informed Crawford and Schuldig, shivering as the water running down her back hit the frosty air outside. "What, does Mr. Crawford have a vision that you guys would catch me right in the shower? Get in, it's cold!"

The German looked up and down her tall, tanned body as the door closed behind him. "All over tan. Is that healthy?"

Both the blonde and Crawford glared at Schuldig as Michiel tightened the tiny towel that was barely covering her body. "None of your business," she told him coolly. "Nagi's in Omi's room, as usual." With that, she turned her back, and stalked angrily back to the bathroom.

Crawford adjusted his glasses, the anger seeping out of his eyes, leaving a numbing coldness behind. "You and Michiel seem to be getting close," he said, almost accusingly. "So how is she in bed?"

Schuldig laughed. "Bed? Oh, come on Brad! She's just fun to tease. The instant I get in bed with her is the instant I don't want to have sex anymore." He looked toward the bathroom. "And, I wouldn't do that to any human being..."

"Do what?" Crawford snapped, his brows drawn heavily over his eyes.

*It wouldn't be good for her,* Schuldig told his lover telepathically. *Trying to have sex with her would be rape for her, any way its done, any gender its done with.*

The American blinked a few times, digesting this information. He remembered researching Schuldig's past, and what had happened once he took the name of "Guilty." Finally, Crawford nodded, relaxing. "I see."

Two footsteps exited a room, and Nagi came out to the living room. "Morning," he muttered, and stuck his head into the kitchen. "Michiel..." He pulled back, puzzlement etched into his sleepy face. "Where's Michiel?" the boy asked, yawning.

*Had a nice evening?*

Nagi glared at the smirking Schuldig. "None of your business."

"That's what they keep saying," the German sighed aloud, melodramatic, "when it's always my business!" He probed Nagi's mind briefly, then smiled widely. "A kitten? You think that Michi would really let you get a kitten?"

Said girl stuck her head out of the bathroom, her hair half dried. "What was that? Kitten?" Michiel's face broke out in a smile. "What kind? For who? Schuldig, don't call me Michi."

Omi opened the door, and noticed Michiel. "Hey. Has Nagi asked you yet about the kitten?"

Crawford glared at Schuldig, who was opening his mouth for a remark. "Why don't you go check up on Aya?" he told him smoothly before he could say a word.

*Aw, Brad, that was wide open!*

"And I'm going to call SZ," Crawford finished, picking up the cell phone. "Have a nice time."

"You really think I would say no to having a Bombay kitten around?" Michiel asked incredulously. "Nagi, that was a wonderful idea!" She took a sip of her coffee, her eyes bright. "Omi, do you feel ready to go out in a lot of people?"

"Michiel." Crawford motioned to her. "You're in trouble."

Nagi and Omi looked at each other, eyebrows raised in identical arches. "Wonder what's wrong," Omi mused. Then, his lips curved softly. "That was a nice idea, Nagi," he whispered. "Thanks."

The boy blushed slightly, then frowned. "What do you mean?" he asked harshly. "Tell me, Omi, why are you being so kind to me?"

Omi blinked, taking off guard by the questions. "You were being nice to me," he answered honestly. "And you're helping me with this." The older boy reached out, and touched Nagi's hand. "I'm kind to you because you're kind to me."

The telekinetic stood there in the brunt of those simple words. "It can't be that easy," Nagi began, his voice shaky as his hand moved to take Omi's.

"Why not?"

At that time, there was no reason that satisfied "why not." Acting on a basic instinct that hadn't awakened till just then, Nagi pulled the boy closer to him and placed a quick kiss on his cheek. Omi turned his head while enclosing the Schwarz member in his arms, their lips moving together in a gentle rhythm.

Finally, Nagi pulled back from the kiss. "Omi..." he breathed. "I..."

The older boy smiled, and silenced Nagi again with a kiss, this time a little more aggressive. Nagi submitted to the ministrations, and returned like with like as his mind started applauding sarcastically, a tiny part of his brain speaking to him.

'It's about time!'

*Aya... hey, Aya... wakey, wakey...*

The redhead launched a pillow across the room, groaning inarticulately under his breath at the mental voice. Schuldig batted the missile away from him, smirking at the taut, sleeping body.

*You have quite the chest, Abyssinian. From sword work?*

"G' way, Schuldig," Aya muttered, one amethyst eye opening slowly. "'m not in the mood for this."

*You're never in the mood for anything except fighting,* Schuldig laughed mentally. *Maybe it's time that you get in the mood...*

"Dream," Aya growled, placing the remaining pillow over his head. "Got to be." He swallowed a gasp as the German ripped the pillow from the bed, and pinned the redhead to the mattress.

Schuldig smirked down at the boy, his mind reaching out to the redhead pre-cog. *Really, a dream. I don't know, you feel awfully awake to me...*

'Get out of my head!'

"Now, why would I do that?" Schuldig mused aloud as he moved his leg over Aya. "It's so nice here." The redhead growled at him, and he smiled insincerely back at him. "What, is something wrong?" Schuldig leaned in, his face inches from Aya's. "Want me to kiss it and make it better?"

Aya killed the thought that rose in his mind before Schuldig could read it. "Go away," he spat out instead.

*Hey, what was that you were going to say instead?* The German tilted his head, smirking at the man below him. *Hm?*

Aya glared at him, the strength finally back to the normal wintry temperature. "Get off of me."

'Before I do something stupid.'

*Stupid?* Schuldig asked mentally as Aya went through the curses he knew at the fact he forgot about the German's telepathy. *Like, say, this?* His lips came down to forcefully assault Aya's. Schuldig ground his lower parts into him while eating away at the redhead's mouth, smirking as Aya moaned in the back of his throat. *What, was this what you meant?*

'Shut up already,' Aya thought wildly, returning the kiss savagely.

*Whatever you say.*

The cell phone dropped from Michiel's nerveless fingers, her face pale under her tan. Crawford scooped up the phone before it reached the carpet, and studied the girl before him. "It's bad."

Michiel started to shake uncontrollably. "Th-th-they said..." she stuttered, wrapping her arms around herself. "They s-said that s-since I didn't finish th-the mission, that i-it was... I was going to be..." She looked up at Crawford, her eyes pleading. "I couldn't do it," she whispered. "It would have been suicide, to just awaken their gifts like that. I don't know what they have. Mr. Crawford, I don't want to die..."

Crawford snorted. "You sound like an old horror movie," he told her. "If you don't want to die, then do something about it."

Her hand came out, and was caught by the pre-cog. "Let go of me!" she wailed, causing Nagi and Omi to stick their heads outside the kitchen. "You don't understand. What SZ wants, SZ gets, and they want my death!" She took another breath to scream at him again, only to be cut of by Crawford's hand impacting with her chin.

"Then stop whining and plan to strike back," Crawford told her testily, fighting to keep his anger under control. "In the meantime, you're going to hide."

She stared miserably at him. "If you're so smart, where?"
