Weiss Kreuz Fan Fiction ❯ Just Let Me ❯ Chapter 4 ( Chapter 4 )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

Chapter foooour! I'm amazed I'm able to just make up all this stuff. Hehehe, ^^;; All right, now is where I might begin to confuse myself. I'm not all that familiar with the Precious Image Dramas, so keep that in mind while reading this fic, I'm constantly looking back to the translations (from Aya no Weiss Kreuz Corner, what a great site!). Sorry if anything gets confusing! >.<

Standard Stuffs and Rating: Weiß Kreuz does not belong to me, everyone belongs to Koyasu Takehito and Project Weiß. But I own this computer and whatever I do with it, including making bishies go boomboom, so NYEH!! >P NC-17 KenxRan/RanxKen, yaoi, shounen-ai, some spoilers for the Precious Image Drama series but I'm practically rewriting the whole thing. OOC for Ken only if you don't know about the dramas or that scene in the OVAs. Oh, and this chapter also includes some KenxReiko (booo!) but I won't be so descriptive about it. Denotes thought

Just Let Me

All the next few days, Ken seemed almost normal again. And since that wonderful night, Ken couldn't stop sneaking happy smiles at Ran. Ran, not yet accustomed to the fine art of smiling, gave his rare grins in return. Everyone noticed the change, even Yohji waggled his eyebrows at Ran, somehow knowing that the two made up. Nothing even remotely related to sex escaped that man.

They were still investigating for their mission, trying to find connections, leads, anything. Ken's job was to find to see if it was gang related and finding any information on the streets. He had found nothing and it was getting late. Ken had been in a sour mood all evening and felt he needed to vent his frustration as soon as possible. Walking through a not-so-nice part of town, he heard faint screams and ran to the site.

In an alleyway, he found two men beating a young woman. The final straw to his pending frustration, he leaped for the men in a blinding fit of rage and attacked. He was merciless, pounding them as hard as he could without even giving them a chance to defend or counter. "Stop, please! You're going to kill them!" screamed the women. "Shut up!" he yelled in response and continued to beat the men. The woman desperately tried to restrain him. Ken stopped his assault and angrily stormed off. Speed walking away, the women tried to keep up. Finally running to get in front of him, she stopped him. "Um, I…wanted to thank you for saving me back there-" "I wasn't trying to save you. I just felt like beating someone to a pulp. I felt like killing someone. And I would have if you hadn't stopped me," he replied coldly. "Why?" "Why? Because I'm a big, bad villain, that's why." "…I wouldn't have minded if you had killed me…" Ken looked up and saw her sad, forlorn face.

"What's wrong Ken? Eat up and don't worry, I'll pay" said Reiko. Ken took her to the small restaurant where he had met up with Ran the other night. "Here, gimmie your glass…" she said as she started to pour more sake into it. "Erm, you really shouldn't, I'm not too good with that stuff…" he started. Reiko laughed at the big bad villain not being able to hold his alcohol. After Ken was a little drunk, they started talking. It seemed like a competition to see whose story was most depressing and who could get whom to be more dejected.

"Ken, did you ever want to die?" "Yeah, plenty of times. I'm better off dead, there's not much I'm good for. What about you, Reiko?" "Always. I thought about dying while I was being choked back there. It seemed to make sense, like I deserved everything I got." "Why do you want to die?" "Because there's no reason to live. You see Ken, I'm a criminal, just like you. I'm a bitch. And even though there's no reason to live, I can't help but keep living." "Really? I can't see you in that way. To me you're just a girl, well, no, but you're just…"

Suddenly, Reiko threw herself at Ken's lips while trying to get her shirt off. "…!" Ken couldn't think properly. Half was due to the complete surprise and the other half was due to his brain doused in sake. Ran… Ran! No, NO!! "What the fuck?! Get off me!" he yelled as he shoved her off. "Ken…! I thought…please, just stay with me, I'm scared Ken!" she cried. Ken was about to leave but he felt a small pang of guilt. Ken sat down and stayed beside her silently. Misery loves company, ne?

Later that night in his bed, Ran was tossing and turning. "Takatori…Takatori…" he muttered in his sleep. He was dreaming about that night. I'm finished here. I took down the Takatori's, revenged my parents, took back Aya…yet I'm still killing…why? Ran remembered that he seen flower arrangements on his walk around the city. They seemed strangely familiar, as did their meaning. The arrangement was called Eichinkukai. It meant, "ocean of endless despair." But he -knew-it had a deeper meaning. One he was very familiar with. One he would like to forget…

Everyone noticed a change in both Ran and Ken. Ken seemed like he was back to his melancholy self of the past few weeks. Ran, normally quiet and reserved, flat outright avoided everyone. The smiles on their faces disappeared temporarily, and each of them thought that the other had relapsed and deserved a stern talking to. They met up, both expressing their desire to have a serious talk.

"Ken!" "Ran!" They said at the exact same time. They had walked to a small shrine that was surrounded by traditional Japanese gardens. It was quiet around dusk with nearly no tourists there to bother them. Ran sighed quietly. "Ran…" said Ken more calmly. "What's going on? Why are you suddenly like this?" "Like this…?" Ran had his own inner demons that he was not yet willing to share with Ken. Although seemingly selfish and self-absorbed, Ran always put other's problems ahead of his own. Which was why his never got solved, he was too busy being a hero for someone else. "Betsuni… What about you, Ken? You were enjoying life up until recently. Now you are acting like a child again, and-" "A child?!" Ken bursted.

"Ne, Ran. What's your reason for living?" he asked, remembering the conversation he had with Reiko a few days ago. "…Ken, what happened? I thought you were over this…" said Ran. Ken ignored Ran and read a plaque on a small shrine. "The virtuous with their virtue hone themselves for welcomed death, but the evil with their deeds... Something like good dies but evil must go on?" "No, more like, even evil can redeem itself," said Ran quietly. "Heh, I can be redeemed, huh? Sounds stupid…" he spat. "Ken, you are not evil" stated Ran in a monotone voice. "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!" yelled Ken. Why am I getting angry with him? I'm the only one bringing this on myself… Ken needed to sort things out. "You're getting morbid and depressed all by yourself. Stop this behavior Ken, it's not like you." Ken suddenly turned and stormed off. I know that! I don't need a fucking news flash of the obvious from YOU. I need to talk to someone that understands… "Ken!" Ran called after the brunette as he ran out as fast as he could so that the redhead would have little chance of catching up. Ken, why don't you just tell me? You'd be pleasantly surprised, I just may exactly understand. He thought as he remembered the dream and the flower arrangement he saw.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Ken found himself and Reiko again sitting at the same booth at the same restaurant. The silence was heavy. Ken didn't touch any of the food in front of him, he just kept drinking and drinking. He glanced up and saw Reiko holding her arms through his dark bangs. Taking a closer look, he saw Reiko was trembling slightly. "Reiko…"

"Ken, I'm scared, hold me please!" she cried and threw herself into Ken's strong arms. "Ah…OI! Chotto matte-yo!" exclaimed Ken as he tried to restrain her. Reiko struggled and managed to yank her blouse open. "Hey! What the hell?!" yelled Ken. "Look? See this? Isn't it amazing?" she said as she showed her bare back to him. It was covered in a large tattoo that spanned across and down her entire backside. "It looks like butterfly wings but they're actually spider's web. You can even see the long legs spread out here" she indicated. "A full body tattoo…" "It's not something I had any choice in getting. It means that I can never go back to a normal life. Even if I had it removed, I couldn't go back because either way, I'm stained with the blood and tears of people!"

Ken gently embraced her. "Don't worry Reiko," he said assuredly. "No matter what, I'll still your friend" he said with a warm smile. "Calm down, you said you wanted to talk about something. So talk, I'm here." She cried, "I've done a horrible thing! I…I watched a girl get killed, and did nothing about it. In fact, I think I laughed!" Ken's eyes grew wide with that last statement. "No…you didn't laugh, no way!" he stammered. "Yes! I'm pretty sure I laughed, or else I would have stopped the thing! Ken, I'm scared of myself!" "But you didn't kill her though!" "What I did is just as bad if not worse."

"Reiko…I don't know your real name, where you're from, anything about you really. But if what you're doing makes you so unhappy, then why not stop?" "Heheheh, that's pretty stupid. Look at yourself Mr. Villain, why don't *you* stop what you're doing then?" "Well, I…" started Ken. "I've thought about stopping many times," said Reiko. "But now…oh, Ken! Just hold me please!"

"Reiko…I…" he whispered as suddenly Reiko kissed him deeply, practically shoving her tongue down his throat. Ken struggled back a bit but didn't exactly pull away. In fact, he kissed back just as hard. "Reiko…" he gasped and pushed her to the ground. The sound of clothes being ripped filled the air as Ken ravished Reiko's body. Reiko was naked on the floor and Ken only had his shirt off. "Ken…do whatever you need…please," she gasped. Ken only growled as he sloppily kissed over her bare breasts and stomach.

Ken unfastened and pulled down his jeans and boxers. He positioned his hard erection to Reiko's wet opening. Reiko spread her legs as Ken thrust in with one quick motion. "Reiko…Reiko…" Both softly gasping, Ken made a fast rhythm, which made them both climax within a matter minutes. Done, they pulled away and silently dressed. Ken sat back in his chair and refilled his sake cup.

"I'm sorry… I forced you to something like this… I just…I can't control myself anymore. My hands shake before a mission…" "Mission?" "I'm…a murderer…"

"I see…" "You're not surprised?" asked Ken. "No, we're the same really. You have this scent about you that is familiar…" "Blood. It's these hands that swim in blood," he said holding them up. "I claw into people like this," he mimics his Bugnuks' actions, "and I can actually feel their hearts in my hand. When I feel the beating, I just feel so alive myself! I lose myself, it's…joy!" "Oh Ken, snap out of it, it's only your imagination. You're different. You're caring, sweet and gentle. If you feel bad about what you are doing, that means you're a good man! I don't know why you kill, nor will I question it, but you're a good man!"

"Just let me be with you like this…" she whispered. She embraced Ken and snuggled her head on his firm chest. "Ne, Ken. I have a dream. Well, more of a hope for the future, but…I want to die like this…in your arms…" "Reiko…" He whispered to the sleeping woman. She was so much like him. Both felt futile and hopeless at their seemingly bleak futures. Slowly getting up, he leaned Reiko forward so she was resting on the tabletop. Clutching at his head from an incredible headache, he headed back home. Back to Ran.

Ken stumbled to the hotel they were staying in and up the stairs to the floor they temporarily lived on. Passing his room, he made a beeline straight for Ran's room. He knocked and went right in without bothering to wait for an answer. Ken entered and found Ran sitting straight up in his bed, reading a novel.

Ken silently walked over and sat on the bed, leaning his head on the lap hidden by the silk sheets. "Whatcha readin'?" he idly asked Ran. Remembering the heated discussion they had earlier, Ran felt bad for not completely explaining himself. He gave a small smile and read,

"Come, let's away to prison; We two alone will sing like birds i' th' cage: When thou dost ask me blessing, I'll kneel down, And ask of thee forgiveness: so we'll live, And pray, and sing, and tell old tales, and laugh At gilded butterflies, and hear poor rogues Talk of court news; and we'll talk with them too, Who loses and who wins; who's in, who's out; And take upon's the mystery of things, As if we were God's spies: and we'll wear them out, In a walled prison, packs and sects of great ones That ebb and flow by th' moon. "

"Anou, Ran. That doesn't help me much…whatcha readin'?" he said, still resting his head. Ran smirked, "King Lear, Ken. Well, that is my way of saying sorry. Sorry for my lack of understanding this afternoon. I want you to know that I *do* understand, and that passage meant that no matter what the circumstances, I'll always be with you and we'll always make the best of it as long as we're together."

All Ken could do was blink. Whenever Ran opened his mouth other than to say "Aa" or "Hn", to give orders, or to insult, Ken was pleasantly surprised. I don't deserve him. I know he understands what I'm going through. I was just being too self-absorbed and stupid to listen. Gods, I don't deserve him, but he doesn't care… He should! But, I love him and he's accepted it, no matter what… Ran stroked the soft brown hair on his lap and put the book on the little table. Gently pulling Ken up, Ran stole a soft, deep kiss, one that he put all his emotion and being into.

BTW: That quote was from Shakespeare's King Lear (V, III). King Lear is my favorite tragedy and I wanted to put that in SOMEWHERE.

Schu: You're so goddamn predictable…
