Love Potion

Alone as usual. It was a beautiful night for dancing, eating dinner under the stars or just strolling in the park with a loved one. Omi however never got the chance to experience these things. He was what Yohji labeled an introvert. He found it hard to make friends in his teen years and it was depressing. It wasn’t like he didn’t want to go out there and have a good time but, no one seemed to take interest in the things he enjoyed and it hard to fake liking all of the things that other people had in mind. It was as if he didn’t belong on this planet. The only people close to him were the other members of Weiss. There was Yohji, who preferred the company of women. Not to mention Ken, who was Mr. Popular and already had so many friends from playing soccer.

The only one who had anything remotely in common with Omi was Aya. He never went out on dates or played sports with friends but, it was purely by choice. He never left his room except to go on missions or see his sister in the hospital. He was the one who Omi admired most. He was so misunderstood and that was how Omi felt, like the world just could not comprehend him.

Lonesome, the blonde sat on the couch in the darkness watching television and getting fat off of potato chips.

+++

The next day Omi walked home from school as usual through a busy district. Typically, he got by without having to make eye contact with anyone and certainly didn’t talk to anyone from that part of town. But today, there was a woman in a long purple velvet dress with a burgundy sequined vest over it and a matching headband. She was standing out on the sidewalk having a smoke. “Excuse me,” Omi asked quietly.

The woman moved out of the way slightly. She blew a puff of smoke into the air and waving it away with one hand she began to speak. “How about a reading?”

Omi turned around and realized she was the fortune teller lady. “No, no thanks. I have to get home.”

“Oh, waiting for a girlfriend to call?”

“No,” Omi smiled. “I don’t have one.”

“Well, let’s get you one! I know just the thing for that. You’ll be attracting girls like bears to honey.”

“Well...”

“C’mon, c’mcon,” the woman beckoned him inside and shut the door behind them. The store was full of obvious trinkets and ceremonial pieces. The fortune teller went behind the register area and took a look at the wall of oils she had on the back shelf. “Here we go, just dab a little of this behind your ears then, start up a conversation with someone you like. The scent entices females to stay just long enough for you to put your best foot forward and try to win them over.”

“What about...other boys? I mean just-as-friends,” Omi uttered quickly.

“Do you want a boyfriend?” the woman just came out and asked. Omi could tell now that she wouldn’t judge him for it. He nodded his head. “Well, this won’t work.” She put the oil back on the shelf where she found it. “I don’t know if I have anything to attract males to other males but, maybe I can whip something up. It’s my sister who makes all of these incantations, she’s the real expert but this should be a simple formula. I’m sure I’ll know how to tweak it just the right way.”

The register sat on a large glass case that exhibited different oils and minerals. The woman grabbed a bottle of oil that was nearly finished, a bowl, a jar of blue powder and two clay talismans. She went over to a circular table that she obviously did readings on and asked that Omi have a seat with her. “How much is this gonna cost by the way?”

“How much you got?”

“Five dollars.”

“Five dollars, it is!” the woman grinned as the boy handed it over. “Okay, let’s get started. The key to any ritual or spell is the meaning behind it. The potion I gave you earlier began with the talisman of the female, a red triangle pointing downward. Since this is love between two boys, we’ll use two male talismans, with the blue triangle facing upward.” She placed the clay pieces in the bowl and bathed them in oil. “Alright, and this is ground beetle shell. Which, represents attraction. In the insect world, the male of this species uses the flashy coloring of his shell to attract a mate,” she said referring to the jar of blue powder. She added a scoop to her current mixture. “What am I missing?” she asked rhetorically. “Oh yeah.” She got up again and returned with a few more things. She stirred the concoction with a spoon and carefully poured it into a tall vile, making sure that the talismans didn’t slip out of the bowl and crack. She capped the vile with a thin cork and handed it over to her customer. “Remember, a little goes a long way, so just dab some behind the ears and have fun.”

“Arigatou gozaimsu.” Omi felt hopeful. “Wait, aren’t love potions wrong?”

“This is no love potion, it doesn’t change how the person feels about you. It just lures them to you so that you can work your own magic.”

“Alright,” Omi said happily. “I’ll get going now, thanks again.”

“Come back anytime.”

Omi nearly ran home. He knew that this was all probably just a trick but, for the moment it felt nice to pretend that perhaps, things might start going his way. The reality of it all sank in once he reached the house. He entered the Koneko where Ken was on duty. He came up the stairs just as Yohji was rushing down them with a box of tissues in hand. “Outta the way,” the older boy announced. He knocked Omi backward and the blonde fell partially down the stairs. “Sorry – I gotta get this to Ken before he sneezes on another customer. You’ll be okay won’t you?” Omi opened his mouth but he wasn’t given the chance to reply before Yohji cut him off. “Good.”

Omi came to his feet and started back up the stairs. He was nearly passed the living room when he felt something strange leaking onto his thigh. He stuck his hand in his jacket pocket and felt the oily mess and shards glass. “Ah man...” he whimpered. The vile had broken when he and Yohji had collided. He noticed now that the liquid was seeping to the floor and puddling. He took off his jacket and folded it so that no more would leak out. Quickly going to the kitchen he grabbed some paper towels and returned to the accident to wipe it up. He heard footsteps coming up the stairs and he saw that it was Aya. The redhead walked by whilst staring at him oddly. The situation had been so embarrassing. Omi hated looking like a fool in front of their leader. But, everyone made mistakes, didn’t they? Well, that’s when Omi realized that most of his right side was stained with blue and so were his hands and the floor so it was now obvious why the older man had been gawking at him. He lowered his head in shame. Soon afterward, Aya came back.

“Do you need any help, Omi?”

“I’m sorry. What was that?” the blonde asked in disbelief. Aya never asked anyone if they needed anything. And the man actually personalized it by saying his name at the end of the question.

Aya knelt down and began wiping up whatever he could. “So you wanna go see a movie with me tonight?”

“I just spent my last five bucks on the stuff we’re cleaning off the floor,” Omi replied disappointedly.

“My treat.”

“Are you sure?”

“Of course. I won some tickets to a movie premiere from the hospital raffle. I was gonna just toss them out but...I dunno. Maybe I can get some use out of them after all You look like you’ve had a long day. Yohji told me that he accidentally pushed you down the stairs.”

“Yeah, that’s how this broke.”

“I could sense that.”

Omi began to smile. This stuff really worked. Just as the fortune teller had promised, it made someone stick around long enough to see the potion’s wearer for who they truly were not just by their appearance. Even though Omi looked like a complete nut all bathed in blue, Aya had looked passed that and read the younger boy’s emotions. “Well, let me go get washed up.”

“Yeah, and get ready to go out too. What kind of movies do you like?”
“Horror, Comedy...I’m not picky. Just no mushy stuff.”

“Got it.”

+++

Omi had just barely finished putting on his shoes when he saw Aya waiting patiently for him in the livingroom. “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that we were leaving so soon. I didn’t mean to keep you waiting.”

“Don’t worry about it. I just wanted to make sure that I was ready when you are.”

“Oh, well...okay!”

The redhead got up from the couch and beckoned Omi toward the front door. They went down to the Koneko where the other two assassins had just closed up shop and were sweeping the floor. “Where you guys going?” asked Ken.

“Out,” replied Aya in his usual cold tone. Much different from the voice he’d been speaking in to Omi lately. The red haired man led the way out and held the door open for his young friend. As soon as it swung closed, Yohji who had been in a world of his own until now, suddenly looked up. He kept the broom in his hand still and his face was emotionless as he turned his head slowly toward the front door.

“What’s the matter with you?” Ken asked curiously.

Snapping back into focus, the older boy shook his head and kept sweeping. “I dunno, maybe I’m coming down with something. I just felt strange for a moment. I hope you haven’t given me your cold,” Yohji added firmly.

“I’m on antibiotics, you can’t catch it from me.”

“Let’s hope not.”

+++

After the movie, Aya insisted that he and Omi go for ice cream. The younger boy got a double scoop, mint chocolate chip and chocolate crunch in a waffle cone. The redhead seemed surprised. [Oh, no,] Omi thought to himself. [Now, he sees what a piggy I am.] Aya only smiled and requested the same thing. It made the blonde feel good to know he wasn’t the only ice cream fiend.

At the end of the night, Omi thought their little outing felt more like a date. Aya was actually paying attention to him for once. He was lighthearted and talkative. Anyone who knows Aya personally would be alarmed by this behavior. Omi knew that it was peculiar but he also knew the root of it so it didn’t panic him. He was amazed at how powerful the incantation appeared to be working. It had encouraged Aya to become comfortable enough to act human instead of like his usual robotic self.

When they got home it was sort of late and Aya always took the early shifts in the Koneko so he went to bed after saying “goodnight” to Omi. The blonde was pleased to hear these words from him for the first time.

The youngest of weiss washed up and snuggled into his bed. He wasn’t asleep but a few minutes before his door slowly began to creek open. He didn’t open his eyes, pretending to be asleep and hoping that Aya had come to his room to spend the night there. A fantasy he had carried with him for months. “Omi,” said a tender voice as a hand came to his shoulder and someone sat on the bed. But, this voice didn’t belong to Aya. “I’m sorry I knocked you over in the hallway today. I know I already apologized early but I wanted to make sure you knew I was sincere.”

“Yohji...wha?..”

“Shhh. ..I’ll leave you alone now. I know that you have to go to school in the morning.” Yohji stood up. “Hey, maybe you and I can spend some time together tomorrow. We never do that.”

“O-okay,” Omi replied. It was strange being Mr. Popular all of a sudden. First Aya was being more attentive to him now Yohji? He’d barely spoken two words to the older man and already he seemed eager to be Omi’s true friend. The only person who had yet to be affected was the real Mr. Popular, Ken. The boy with a million friends, buddies, pals and casual associates. He was never shy or embarrassed or quiet for that matter. Ken was your typical teenager having fun wherever he could find it. Especially if it involved soccer.

+++

Omi came home late from school after helping out his instructor set up a display in the auditorium.

“There you are,” announced Yohji as Omi walked into the Koneko. “Lock the doors, would you? It’s closing time.” Yohji took off his apron and handed it to Ken. “Go hang this up while I finish some stuff in here.” Ken nodded and did as requested. Yohji looked up at Omi. “Hey, where are you going?”

“Upstairs,” Omi said with a furrowed brow. He couldn’t understand why Yohji seemed so...concerned. He relaxed the muscles in his face upon remembering that the potion must still be working. But, one curious thing he hadn’t thought of until now was that fact that after the contents of the vile had spilled over him, he’d washed it all off. Had the ingredients fused with his own DNA somehow? No, that was foolish. It was obvious that the residue must still be on his skin and might take a while to rub off. Omi was pleased to know that the potion hadn’t gone completely to waste after all.

“Not so fast, I wanna talk to you.”

“About what?”

“I want you to come with me to the lantern festival tonight.”

“Don’t you have a date? You always have a date.”

“C’mon, say yes.”

“Alright then, yes. But, can we have dinner first? I’m starved.”

“Of course,” Yohji responded happily. “I have to get changed and then we can get ready to go.”

Omi put on a pair of jeans and a long sleeve shirt. The weather was getting cold and he wanted to make sure that he could keep warm tonight. He entered the living room and just as during the previous night, Yohji was waiting for him in the same spot that Aya had been sitting in. “Ready?” the older man asked.

“Yep.”

When in the car Omi noticed that Yohji was looking over at him constantly. “So...are you hungry too?” asked the younger boy to strike up some conversation.

“Yeah, what do you wanna eat?”

“Uhm, let’s go to Riverfront, they make good dumplings. Pork sounds good right about now.”

“Good idea.”

At dinner Omi peeked over the top of his menu at Yohji who was just sitting there contently. “Have you decided on what you want to order?”

“What do you recommend?”

“Hmm...why don’t I get something with pork and you get something with chicken then, we can share.”

“Alright.”

After dinner, Omi rubbed his stomach. “I’m very satisfied. That really hit the spot.”

“Sure did.”

The check came and Omi reached for his wallet. “How much do I owe?”

“Nothing.” The blonde looked confused. “I’m paying,” Yohji grinned.

“No, you don’t have to do that.”

“Yes I do. I’m the one who requested that you spend the evening with me. You’re my guest, I pay.”

“Have it your way,” Omi said putting his wallet back into his jacket pocket. They left the restaurant to cross the street where the lantern parade was had already begun.

Hundreds of people gathered around in the dark of night that was brilliantly illuminated by dozens, no, hundreds of lanterns. There were all shapes, sizes and colors. There was even a purple unicorn. Omi smiled as he pointed at it. “How the hell do they make those things? It’s huge! And so detailed.”

“C’mon let’s get a better view.” Yohji took Omi by the hand and led them away. There are two ways to hold hands, cupped which is usually very platonic or fingers entwined which is slightly more intimate. Yohji had chosen the latter. He brought the two of them up a short hill and as they looked downward he began to caress Omi’s hand with his thumb.

Omi looked up to see a pair of sage eye staring at him. A gaze that was frightening though flattering. “You enjoying yourself?”

Yohji nodded. “Absolutely.”

“Cool,” Omi said, turning his attention back to the parade. “I like the green lanterns best, how about you?”

“I like the green ones too.”

“And the dragon shaped ones are awesome. What do you think?”

“I agree.”

“Ah, c’mon Yohji. Don’t tease, which ones do you really like?”

“I like whatever you like.”

“...O-kay.” Omi hesitated.

“Maybe we should go home. That way we can relax together where it isn’t so cold.”

“Yeah, it is rather brisk out here and my nose is freezing.” Yohji leant forward and kissed the rose hued nose that Omi had been complaining about. It made the boy realize that going home with Yohji would be the perfect opportunity to receive more kisses.

When they reached home, Ken and Aya were suited up. “We have a mission Ken announced.”

Aya stepped forward. “Get ready, we leave in ten.”

+++

It was a simple operation. Scramble the security cameras, kill four people, keep a look out for potential danger. The first task was left to Omi, the killing was for Aya and Yohji, Ken was best suited as the look out.

The drive was an unusual one that led them to a house in a rural area. It was on a big lot and set far off onto the property. The brush around it kept the home well hidden and the dirt drive up was hardly desirable enough for normal people to go snooping down. Unfortunately for Eddie Woo, Weiss wasn’t made of normal people. And the brush that kept his hideaway a secret also did a great job hiding small Omi who was approaching the property. It easy for him to find the wire that ran underground and up several posts that supported the surveillance cameras. Instead of cutting them off completey, he simply manipulated the wires to black out long enough for his three teammates to quickly get to the house.

“Hey Eddie. What’s this?” Asked the man’s mistress. “The screen went blank.” Eddie came closer with concern when he saw that the security cameras weren’t picking up anything. Suddenly, the picture came back on. “Oh nevermind. The picture’s back. It was probably just a glitch.”

Eddie knew better than to take the risk of ignoring the subtle but unusual sign. “Hmm...I bet a squirrel or a bird or something is trying to mess with it. Could you go check?” The man asked cunningly. “Take your cell phone out there with you and when you get there tell me if it looks funny and I’ll send one of the guys out to fix it. Okay, Suki?”

The woman was happy to do for her lover. She figured the more obedient she was the more he might want to leave his wife. What a joke.

Dialing her boyfriend’s cell number, she frowned at the protruding wires, and realized that they’d been slightly tampered with. “I’m here Eddie, let’s see...” She took a step closer for a better look when she also took notice of Omi in the brush. “Suki?” Eddie asked calmly before hearing her shrill scream. He closed his phone knowing that he’d sent her to her death. “Life is all about sacrifices, Suki my dear.” He’d gotten tired of her anyhow, so she was the perfect candidate to use as bait for any potential trespasser. Hearing her struggle over the phone was just as good as having the security cameras up because it conveyed that someone was out there.

“Hey, Li, Chan, we’ve got company. Get your weapons ready.”

“Yeah, boss,” agreed Eddie’s two gunmen.

Suddenly, they heard the front door creek open. All three men turned in it’s direction and were surprised to see Yohji enter the room. “You made a big mistake by coming here,” said Eddie.

“No...” Yohji smiled. “You made a big mistake by turning around to look at me.

The dead men stilled in their tracks and just as Big Boss Eddie began to turn in the other direction to see his assassin, Aya had already drawn his sword and sunk through the other two men like kabobs then, executed the lead gangster. The Eddie Woo crew was through. A lot of people would be glad. He wouldn’t be around to terrorize small business owners anymore and force them to pay him in order to be spared from his wrath.

Ken had checked all around the property for other people without finding anyone so he joined Omi at the very front to watch for anyone new who might drive up. “So, what’s it like up here? Seen anyone go by yet?”

“No, did you find anyone extra on the grounds?”

“No, I think this mission is going pretty smooth,” Ken sniffled. He still wasn’t over his cold yet.

“Still sick? Want me to make some soup when we get home?” Omi asked sweetly. He assumed by now that the potion was kicking in and that was why Ken had joined him. Now it was time to work his inner magic.

“No.”

Omi was surprised by the answer. “How about a nice hot bath. I’ll draw one for you.”

“Nope, I like showers.”

Ken didn’t say much more after that. In fact he said nothing at all. He wasn’t even making eye contact. This discouraged Omi. He was having fun being the center of attention between Yohji and Aya but Ken didn’t seem to be playing along. [Ken must really not be interested,] Omi reasoned with himself. After all, the potion was only meant to attract people not make them stay put.

The two older Weiss members packed up and contacted Omi through his headset to warn him they’d be coming. Again, the little blonde manipulated the surveillance wiring so that if and when this case was investigated there would be no trace of who the intruders had actually been.

+++

Omi rode in the backseat with Ken on the way home from their mission. He could see Aya glancing at him occasionally through the rear view mirror. It was a hypnotic sort of gaze. The circles of lavender, surrounding him.
Back at the apartment, the evening went on as typically as any normal person’s night may go. Ken made them each a light supper and then, he went to bed, leaving Omi in the living room with Yohji and Aya. The youngest boy was wedged in between the older men and very aware of all the stares they were giving him and the glares they were giving each other. Omi stood up. “Maybe...I should get some popcorn. Yeah, I’ll be back in a few.” He left for the kitchen.

“Aya, could you give us some privacy? Omi and I have been trying to spend some quality time together lately and the mission today interrupted us so, we aren’t exactly done yet.”

“Fine,” Aya said in a huff. “I don’t mind leaving. Omi and I spent plenty of time together the other night. I guess it’s your turn now.”

Yohji blinked. What was all this “other night” business...oh, that was right...Yohji remembered seeing them leave the Koneko together. Jealously boiled over.

When Omi returned from the kitchen he sought out for Aya.

“Where’d he go?” asked the blonde. “Where’s—”

Yohji cut him off, “Omi, look at me. I’m still sitting here because I want to be your friend. He left, so what does that tell you?”

“Oh...” [The potion must have wore off.]

“But, none of that matters. All you really need in your life is one good friend.”

Omi smiled faintly, wondering when the spell would wear off of Yohji too and then, he’d be alone again. [Might as well enjoy it while it lasts.]

+++

Omi walked home from school again through his usual path and glanced into the store he’d first bought the social concoction in. He wondered if it was worth it to buy a little more. It was doing such a good job at holding Aya’s attention, the one person he wanted to be noticed by the most. But, another part of him feared that the spell hadn’t worn off him at all. Instead, Aya just hadn’t really been interested with him so he moved on. After all, the spell wasn’t meant for him to fall in love with the boy or hold him against his natural will. It was designed to capture his gaze and release him if he didn’t like what he saw.

Omi entered the Koneko where Ken and Yohji were very busy pleasing the same customer who had inhuman demands for a huge floral order. He slunked up the stairs and dragged his back pack to his room. “Wow!” Omi gasped. “What the— look at this!” His eyes beamed. “No, this has gotta be a joke. My own king sized bed?!” He took a moment to bounce all over it before noticing that a few other things were different too. The place was cluttered. All of these foreign things surrounded him. What was going on?

The young boy searched the house for Aya but he was noplace to be found. It was obvious that he had gone to visit his comatose sister in the hospital.

Hungrier than usual, Omi headed to the kitchen and started heating up whatever leftover pizza he could find. “Yuck, Hawaiian style...Yohji,” he though out loud.

“Yes?” asked a nearing voice.

“Huh?!” Omi jumped. He hadn’t realized that anyone else was in the room with him. “Sorry, I didn’t know you were here. I was just commenting on your choice of pizza.”

“You gotta be diverse sometimes, ya know? To be honest, I don’t usually go for pineapple pizza either but, lately it just hit the spot. I needed something different.”

“Yeah, I understand.”

“No, I don’t think you do.”

“The food wasn’t the difference that I needed. It was just a quick substitute. I feel like I need a big change and that you should be part of it,” the man said coming closer.

“Yohji...”

“That’s why I put our rooms together. How do you like the bigger bed? All I did was push the two of ours together. ‘Cause I thought to myself last night, I don’t wanna just be near you when I’m awake but, when I’m asleep too. I don’t like sleeping alone”

“And I don’t like where this conversation is going.”

“Omi, don’t be scared. I’m on your side now. For months I’ve seen all the hints that you prefer men and the big change is that now I do too. I want everything that you want.” Yohji began to cross the distance between them as Omi backed up slowly. The older boy reached forward and moved his hand to the side, grabbing a box of tissues. “This is what I really came up here for. Ken says he’s all better now but, I think he could use these just in case.”

The young blonde swallowed hard. When Yohji left the room, he knew what he had to do.

Quickly, Omi put his shoes back on and grabbed what little money he had. His steps were rapid all the way to the fortune teller’s shop. He was nearly breathless when he came in the front door.

“Hello,” greeted a female voice but, an unfamiliar one.

“Hi. I, I...” Omi panted.

“Take your time.”

Omi nodded and then tried to tell his story again. “I came by here a couple of days ago and had an incantation made. But, it was another woman who made it for me. I have to talk to her.”

“Well, my sister’s not gonna be back for a while. Is there anything I can do?”

“Oh so you’re her sister, the one whose good with spells and stuff?”

“The very best,” the woman boasted with an amused smile.

“Good, ‘cause I need help. The stuff she gave me worked and all but, I think it worked too well.”

The woman looked shocked. “You say she made it for you? What was the spell for?”

“Just to get someone to notice me.”

“I wish she was here. I wonder what she used.”

“It was simple, she used powdered beetle shell for attraction and two male talismans to represent me and the person I’m trying to attract. She put it in oil...she didn’t explain what that part meant, I assumed it was just for sticking purposes.”

“That’s no good?”

“What the oil? I knew I should have asked more questions.”

“No, the two talismans, she should have only used one. It created a different spell. She made you a love potion, not just a simple incantation. Multiple talismans strengthened the attraction power. It’s will changing. Altering someone’s will can have frightening repercussions.”

“Tell me about it. I have three roommates and only one of them is still acting normal around me. I don’t know why he hasn’t gone wild but, I’m glad he hasn’t.”

“Hmm, some people just don’t react to the scent as well. It’s very faint and consciously undetectable but still very powerful. Interesting.”

“What if he had a cold and his nose was plugged up?”

“That’ll do it,” the woman smiled. “Unfortunately, I don’t have the right ingredients to reverse the spell. But, I can have them by tomorrow. When you feel uncomfortable, say little chants telling the persons involved to leave you alone might ward them away.”

Omi left the shop and he was spotted by Ken who had made a quick stop at the drug store for some nasal spray. He was tired of not being able to breathe through his nose. Ken lifted an eyebrow. What was Omi doing in a place like that? He entered the drugstore to by his spray and planned to pay his roommate’s little hangout a visit.
+++

As fate would have it, the older sister running the supernatural store had left to find ingredients for her customer’s reversal spell. Not a minute later, her younger sister arrived and found the place empty but, being that it was a family business she had a spare key and let herself in.

Ken walked across the street and as soon as he passed the shop’s threshold he was automatically intrigued by it’s contents. “Welcome,” greeted the woman inside. “Tell your fortune?!”
“Uhmm...not today. I’m really just looking around.”

“Well, whatever you’re seeking I bet we’ve got it. Books, altar table covers, instruments—,”

“What’s all this over here?” Ken asked pointing the back wall near the register.

“Ahh...potions. Very effective. Some for wealth, health, success and all the rest!” Ken smiled sheepishly. “But, that’s not what you want. Is it? Don’t tell me,” she put the back of her right hand to her forehead. “Perhaps you fancy someone? Someone you wish would notice you more.” Ken’s face reddened as he shrugged his shoulders. “So, I’m right. I got just the thing to make any woman pay a little more attention to you.”

“Uh...”

“Wait, don’t tell me...you’d like a man to pay more attention. Am I right?”

“How did you know?”

The woman rolled her eyes playfully. “I’m psychic aren’t I?” she smiled. “And besides, that seems to be a popular request lately. I made it for another boy. Not to mention the fact that I have impeccable gaydar.” Ken laughed. He hadn’t any such talent. And between the two of them, he could probably profit from it most. “Alright, let’s see. I’ll whip you somethin’ up right quick.”

Ken left the store feeling silly. Did he actually expect this to work on Yohji? He kept eyeing the vile he’d been given. It was worth a try.

+++

Yohji’s behavior had become out of control and Omi need to avoid him as much as possible. He turned down the hallway and back in the direction of the kitchen, not wanting to continue through the other portion of the house. He sat there at the table patiently waiting for someone else to come home so that he wouldn’t have to be alone with Yohji who had begun bathing with the door half open at the moment. Omi could hear the water sploshing around. He couldn’t help but acknowledge the eerie feeling that overcame him. His stomach filled with butterflies. He didn’t know where the feelings of anxiety and being watched were coming from but he knew that they were real. Omi wondered if this was is sixth sense trying to warn him to leave the house before Yohji had a chance to get to him. But, how long could he run? He’d have to come home sometime whether his other two roommates were there or not. Maybe he could talk some sense into the older man.

Omi came to his feet and started walking toward the bedrooms again. His nervousness stopped him and he didn’t make it past the living room. Feeling defeated, he sat down on the sofa. He put a hand to his head and rubbed his temples when he realized that someone was sitting adjacent to him in the arm chair. He looked over and saw Aya whose face grew a wicked grin. Omi rose to his feet and so did Aya. He looked like he might chase Omi who was going in reverse quickly. The blonde flipped around and ran to find a hiding place.

Shortly afterward, Ken came home. Aya was back in his position on the lounge chair breathing heavily but, the brunette didn’t pay it any mind. He went to his room and the door was locked. “What the...” he jiggled the knob. [Shit, this always happens.] Ken lifted the handle a certain way then, turned it and the door came right open. It was a trick that Omi had taught him after switching rooms with the younger boy several months ago. Sure, Ken had the bigger room now, but he also had the head ache of having a faulty lock and a stiff window.

Ken, shut his door and threw his jacket over the back of a chair. He looked into the mirror across from his bed and proceeded to use his nasal spray. Also taking the time admire his hair, something that he’d been conceded about lately.

Ken took out the little vile from his pocket and held it up to the light. It was in perfect view for Omi to see, who was hiding in the closet. “Where did you get that?!” the blonde exclaimed as he sprung from his hiding place.

Ken became startled and fumble with the little glass tube. “Omi!”

“No, don’t spill it!” Omi whispered.

“What in the hell is going on?! Speak!”

“Shhh...quietly. I’m trying to save you. If you got that stuff from the same person I did, you’re in a world of trouble. Don’t use any of it. It’s rancid”

“What?! I just bought this on the way home. I dabbed some behind my ears. Why? What’s goin on? Is it toxic.”

“In some respect yes. But wait...did you say on the way home?”

“Yeah, about ten minutes ago, why?”

“Phew!...”Omi sighed. “Well, then you must have met with the more experienced sister, not the one who gave me the bad spell. Everything should go normally then.”

“Good,” Ken said contently. “Are you gonna be okay?”

“Yeah, I’m just hiding out from Yohji and Aya. Long story as to why. But, I’m exhausted. That’s why I had to hide out it in here. And I knew it was safest ‘cause you are the only one who hasn’t been affected by the potion I hope you don’t mind.”

“Of course not Omi.”

“Really,” the blonde beamed.

“No way, you’re my best friend.”

“I am?” the younger boy was taken aback.

“You’re the only one who really acts like they care about me around here. I can always count on you. Even now, you were in an effort to warn me about something. Do Aya and Yohji ever do that? No, not unless we’re on a mission, ‘cause saving my ass means saving their own.”

“I guess I never really thought about it that way before.” Omi sighed. “Well, I think I’ll be in here for a while, at least until everyone is asleep and I can sneak back into my own room.”

“That’s fine.”

“I snagged some candies from the kitchen.” Omi popped one of the sweets into his mouth. “Mmm...Cherry is definitely my favorite.”

“Tell me about it,” Ken said taking one from his younger friend’s hand.

“I’ve got a whole bunch here. Which ones do you like?”

“I like whatever you like.”

Omi looked up to Ken’s gaze slowly. “Not again...” he whined. Ken stepped closer. “Listen to me. You can fight this.”

“But, I don’t want to. It just feels right. Don’t you ever just allow yourself to get caught up in the moment?”

“Well...” Omi tried to think of rational ideas. “Sometimes, it feels good to do that. But, that’s the whole risk about living in the moment, it isn’t real. Life and reality are much longer and...whatever you do, even if it is just for a moment, can determine unpleasant consequences depending on the act. This is one of them. You don’t want me, this is the spell talking.”

“But, it feels good. Just let go for a minute.”

“No.”

“But, you don’t know what you’re missing.”
“What are you doing...No! Close that,” the blonde urged as he watched Ken open up the little vile again and dabbed some on his finger tips. He took gobs of it and smeared it all across his skin.

“Shhh...I’m doing you a favor. You won’t loosen up so I’m taking the steps for you.” Ken coked the glass case and set it gently on his table for future use.

Omi could literally feel the change take place. His blood felt different, his skin felt different, everything did. The transition began.

Almost involuntarily, Omi threw his arms onto Ken. Part of him was still aware that this was all a terrible mistake. But, that didn’t stop him from allowing his dark haired friend to undress him and lay him on the bed. Omi struggled with himself to remember the reality of things but, the scent of love and lust was so strong. The universe was working against him and although it was not his intention to give up, his will was no longer his own.

They two wrestled naked between the bed covers and moistened each others skin with warm kisses. Their laughter was angelic and the sounds of whimpering and whining every time they touched was unignorable. Yohji had his ear pressed to the door. He’d just finished up in the bathroom with a towel about his waist. Absentmindedly he began fondling himself and only grew ashamed of it once Aya come down the hallway and saw him.

“What are you doing at Ken’s door?” the redhead asked.

“They’re making love.”

“What?!” Aya asked furiously. He was jealous that Ken was in bed with Omi. That was until he came closer to the bedroom door and Ken’s own love spell wound around the weiss leader’s head. Now, just like Yohji, he was aroused that the two younger boy’s were having intercourse. He tried the door but it was locked. “Babies...” he cooed. “Why don’t you open the door?”

Right then, Omi was on top and riding the hell out of Ken’s dick while the older boy pumped his cock with a hand after spitting into it. “Uhh...” Omi squinched his eyes shut. He could tell by Ken’s breathing that he wasn’t going to last much longer. The wet warmth that shot up his bottom sealed the deal and Omi willed himself to an orgasm. The two boys panted, exhaustedly.

The younger boy opened his eyes and was suddenly so embarrassed. He looked down at Ken who also seemed a little sheepish and confused. Omi dismounted and sat on some extra space of the bed with his knees bent up to his chin. Ken seemed to want to speak. “Uhm...Omi, I...”

“Wait...before you say anything,” Omi began with a look of brilliance. “I think I get it. I think it’s over.”

“What do you mean?”

“The spells, I think the way to break them was to fulfill their intention.” The banging at the door continued. Ken looked over in it’s direction. “I think the only way to end this...is to let them in.”

“And get gang banged?”

“Oh, you make it sound worse than it is. Besides, there must have been some reason you bought that love potion which...” Omi trailed off in thought.

“What is it?”

“Which shouldn’t have worked the way it did. I was at that shop shortly before you and the older sister was running the store, her formula shouldn’t have worked this way.”

“The woman I spoke to seemed pretty knowledgeable. She said she’d made this concoction for someone else too...hang on, she must have been meaning you. Maybe the two sisters switched places so, I ended up with the one who gave you your potion. Not the other.”

“Omi, Ken...” said Yohji’s voice. He could still be heard trying the door. The blonde boy got off the bed and undid the lock. He opened the door and Yohji was hanging in the threshold. He didn’t do anything, just stood there for a moment with his arm against the door frame. Suddenly, he lifted Omi up so that the boy was forced to throw his legs around the older man and began violently kissing his younger partner as he carried him to the bed. Aya came in shortly afterward and was already undoing his belt.

[Oh shit,] Ken thought to himself. [This is really happening.]

Yohji took this opportunity to lose his towel and mount Omi. It wasn’t hard to find the lube that the younger boys had left on the bed and when he was done, Yohji passed it along for Aya to use. Soon enough the double smacking of flesh to flesh penetrated the air in the room. Omi was already nice and loose which was good for his very eager partner. Ken however hadn’t ever received anal but, breaking him in was plenty fun for Aya who loved the feel of his tight bum.

About half way through the experience, Aya and Yohji decided to switch partners for the full effect. Both Omi and Ken felt stimulated yet gross, knowing that two different loads of come, or three in Omi’s case, had filled their asses.

Aya was the first to slip his cock out of Omi’s bottom when he finished and Yohji pulled himself out of Ken. There wasn’t much room on Ken’s bed so evacuation was necessary. Omi returned to his room with Yohji close behind. Ken was left alone to sleep off their love making when Aya went back to his own room.

An hour later, Aya came to his right frame of mind after a nap and slight embarrassment overcame him. What an animal he’d been. He hoped he hadn’t hurt anyone. His own thrusting had seemed slightly faster than that of Yohji. One thing was for sure, Aya needed to get back to the hospital to see his sister. He couldn’t believe he’d gotten distracted from something so important. He went to Ken’s room to get his clothes back and tried not to wake the boy inside who was still sleeping. He gathered his things when something caught his eye. The familiar blue liquid was intriguing and it’s container unusual. It was just like the stuff Omi had been cleaning off the floor. He picked it up from Ken’s desk and opened the cork. “What is this for...?”
