Okay, this is seriously messed up...I wrote this during French class and retyped it at lunch and drank lot's of Jolt...so here it is.
He ran endlessly down the winding alleys trying to evade his pressers. Pain ran up his legs, breathing fast and erratic; his lungs were burning but never stopping. He swiftly turned down another alley reaching the crowded streets and quickly disappearing with the pedestrians.
The two out breathed men looked at the crowd dumbly, cursing because they lost the kid. "Shit! Persia isn't going to be pleased that we let the runt get away."
"We don't say anything. We'll just say he ran into the police station and there was nothing we could do."
The other man nodded warily turning on his heels and walking down the alley, with his partner behind. "Besides," he chuckled. "Those freaks will probably get him first."
Yohji gazed out of the café window ignoring the cup of steaming coffee and the penetrating gaze of his redhead companion. "Stop daydreaming Yohji, it isn't very attractive." Scolded Aya folding his hands on the table looking irritably.
"I'm not daydreaming Aya," Yohji replied coolly back. "Just thinking."
"About?"
The dark blonde didn't reply just sighed and sat staring out the window.
"The counsel are preparing the community for a full fledge war against the hunters, they want everyone there Yohji that includes you." Aya spoke calmly never taking his eyes off of his companion. " I think you should come to the meeting tonight, it will be vital."
Yohji turned facing Aya his jade eyes were angry yet filled with sorrow. "I don't give a damn about the counsel or their plans!" he snapped. "They let fifteen of our kind get slaughtered and tell u not to intervene! And then they expect us to go blindly with their wishes!"
Aya leaned over the table. "Keep you voice down! You want the whole world to know there are vampires among them." Aya sighed and rested his hands on Yohji's shoulders. "Yohji," Spoke Aya softly. "I know that your hurting because of Asuka's death, but blaming higher power such as the counsel will only get you killed."
"It is there fault Ran and you know it!" He hissed. "And to be damned if I help them in this massacre!" Abruptly standing up and a retrieving his coat beside him. "The only people we'll be killing are the innocent because the hunters have the advantage. I will not be part of that."
Aya looked at the door as it shut behind his friend wishing he could've helped more but he needed time to grieve and he respected that. And he was right, they were too weak to think of engaging in a final battle and innocents would be killed. He would never allow that to happen again.
The cool sea breeze played with Yohji's hair as he leaned over the railing eyes fixated on the swirling sea below him. He took a drag from his cigarette savoring the taste and exhaling it into the night's breeze.
He noticed movement from the corner of his eye, tilting his head a little the get a glimpse of the person he was stunned to what he saw. A boy that looked no older than 13 stood on the ledge of the railing, staring into the sea with sad eyes.
That kid can't be serious! Yohji thought furiously. What could drive a pretty boy to commit suicide? Flicking the cigarette over the edge he quietly stalked over to the boy. He was right beside him and not once the boy noticed him.
"Suicide isn't the answer." Yohji said readying himself in case the kid tried to jump.
Omi looked down at the stranger startled. "What did you say?"
"I said suicide isn't the answer."
Omi narrowed his eyes. "Who are you?"
He smiled softly. "My name is Kudo Yohji and yours...?"
"Omi."
"Well Omi, why don't we come off of that ledge now and talk."
The young honey hair boy looked again into the sea then to Yohji. The man seemed nice and friendly, but he couldn't tell him about his father, it would put him to jail but yet...
"Your confused to whether to tell me what's bothering you or to protect the one who is bothering you."
Omi nodded.
"Don't worry. I won't anyone anything unless you want me too okay?" Yohji stretched out his hand, offering.
Omi looked at the out stretched hand for a moment and grasped it, lowing himself down onto the ground, tears slipped from his cerulean eyes.
A pair of strong arms encircled him and he cried into the older man's chest, gripping at the fabric like a lifeline. Yohji gazed down at the sobbing boy, stroking his hair gently. "Omi, I will try to help you. I promise."
TBC...
What the hell was I thinking? Man, French was really screwing with my head, must have been because we were watching Winnie the Pooh...gads the torture!
