Weiss Kreuz Fan Fiction ❯ Scarlet Letters ❯ Schemers and Banshee Phonecalls ( Chapter 15 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Disclaimer: Look at my face *Insert sad face here* Do I look like I own this? Would my face be like this if I did?
AN: Sorry it's been a while but I have legitimate excuses.
Excuse #1: I got my semester 2 uni readings. News and Politics…whoopee.
Excuse #2: I'm going for a trip to Adelaide with my family for a few weeks. I don't know whether I'll have net connection or not during that time, so if I read and review anyone's fics that get updated while I'm gone, don't be surprised if it's a while before my review pops up. I won't be able to read any fics till I get back! Yes, I know it's practically criminal to do this to a fangirl. I require net connection!

BTW, this first part of the chapter is set during Yohji and Aya's little ice cream walk in the park. The rest is back to present time.

Scarlet Letters Chapter 15

Schuldig leapt easily up to his target window. Balancing precariously on the ledge, he tapped forcefully on the glass. A very confused looking Omi opened the curtains.

Before turning bright red and promptly disappearing again.

Schuldig rolled his eyes in amusement and waited for the window to be opened. A moment later the curtains drew back slowly as the window was opened by a now robe-wearing Omi. He glanced over to the bed were a similarly flushed brunette was trying not to look too embarrassed - and failing of course.

As funny as it was to have caught the two young assassins so obviously in the middle of something, he was here on business.

It was important business to him - Yohji was involved, of course it was important.

“You can stop blushing and fidgeting. I'm not a pedophile. Trust me, seeing Omi modeling the shorts from the window was far too much already.” Schuldig watched with renewed amusement as Omi tried in van to pull the short robe down to cover the hem of the soccer shorts. Ken seemed to be sputtering indignantly as the `pedophile' remark. He gave them a moment to compose themselves before continuing.

“I already know that you two know about the whole Aya and Yohji situation.” When Omi made to protest, Schuldig merely held up a hand and carried on, “I took a little peek into your head, chibi.”

“I should've been able to feel it! I know that much.” He had returned to his normal color now that the focus wasn't on his attire.

“You seemed to be…preoccupied.” `Spoke to soon about that coloring' Thought the redhead as the boy flamed once again.

“Are you here to talk about Yohji or not?” Ken burst out, trying to distract the conversation again.

Schuldig sighed and nodded. “ Well, obviously you two know that they're both lovesick stupid”, at this he got two vigorous nods,” even if Aya hasn't really admitted the full truth about it to himself. But therein lies something else entirely that he has to figure out on his own.”

He paused to ponder on that for a moment. However, from the confused glances he received, he thought it best to move on. “ Aya seems to be confusing Yohji lately and vice-versa, I guess. We need to try and keep them on the same wavelength-“

“You want to help get them together?” Interrupted Ken. Schuldig resisted the urge to smack him.

“Yes! Do you think I just climbed up to your window to watch the fashion parade?! Yohji is my friend and while I know you still have some doubts about how truthful that is, you're just going to have to trust me. And by the way- you aren't the one who can read both their minds and hear all the `oh he is so beautiful…and I can't have him' bullshit being pitched from both sides! I just wanna pound their heads together or lock them in a closet!” The words burst out of Schuldig's mouth in a rush and Omi wondered just how long it had all been pent up.

Ken seemed to be wondering an entirely different thing-“…would that work?”

“What?” Two sets of eyes looked at him, bewildered.

“Well, locking them in a closet…or maybe knocking their heads together if you aligned the lips for impact or something…” He trailed off noticing the odd stares he was getting.

“Hidaka…we need something more logical than that.” Schuldig deadpanned.

He looked thoughtful for a moment, “Spin the Bottle?”

Omi went to Ken's side. Probably in attempt to politely dissuade him from making anymore suggestions.

Schuldig's wheels were turning madly though, “Yes…a rigged game of spin the bottle!”

Omi turned on the redhead with an `are you stupid?' look. “You can't rig Spin the Bottle”

A gleeful cackle sounded throughout the room. “You can with a telekinetic!”

The blonde's eyes widened in understanding, and then narrowed. Ken got a bit afraid in that moment- Omi's eyes had the same determined look as when he was planning a mission.

“Let's do it! Mission `Pair Oblivious Teammates' is now in planning!” The blonde cried whilst throwing his arms in the air- completely unaware that the robe was being pulled up.

Ken got distracted. Then faltered.

“Mission…POT?”

Omi ignored him, now locked in the process of exchanging ideas of how to pull it off with Schuldig.
The redhead suggested the sleepover- “Aya hasn't seen any of us for a while…he thought we were dead! I know we agreed it might be best not to tell him, but he knows now. Why not introduce him to the rest of Weiss's extended `Family'.”

Omi agreed instantly, still wondering on other backup ideas. Experience had taught him to always have options available.

Schuldig picked this up and pounced on- he had a few bits of dirt on them! “Aya likes how Yohji looks in a skirt.”

Omi stopped his pacing and looked up. Ken was the one who spoke though, “With legs like Yohji has, who wouldn't?”

Schuldig had expected jealousy from Omi and was thoroughly surprised when the blonde nodded eagerly. Though, he had to agree- the man had a fantastic pair of legs. Nice ass, too.

Omi seemed to have caught on to Schuldig. ”Spill it Schu- you know what's going on in their heads”

Schuldig heard the no-nonsense tone, but also the excitement behind it. `Hell, this is fun!'

He grinned in a conspiratorial manner, leaning forward as the two younger assassins came closer.

“Well…”

XXXXXXXXX

Aya sighed as he rummaged through the pile of clothes now lying on the floor.

A sleepover.

With Schwarz.

That ever present voice supplied a very imaginative image of Yohji in a cute pair of pajamas, cuddling a bear.

Suddenly, Aya wasn't so reluctant to go.

That didn't get rid of his indecision on what to take. Should he pack his Katana? Just in case...
No, Yohji said he would be fine- Yohji knew these people. They weren't `The Enemy' now. Even if they did take his sister-

His sister!

`Fuck! I haven't called her in over a week! What if she thinks I'm dead and comes back to Japan, therefore interrupting her studies abroad…'

Thoughts swirling madly, Aya dove for the nearest phone. It happened to be far too close to his bedside lamp and he crashed into both. His mind crowed with victory when he grasped the phone even as the lamp was knocked into the wall, glancing off it before tumbling to the floor with a loud shatter.

Aya paid it a moment's attention before looking back to the phone and trying to remember his sister's phone number.

He had four numbers dialed in before his door crashed open. He started in surprise and stared at Yohji standing in his doorway.

“I…uh…I heard glass breaking and…wondered if someone was hurt. Are you okay?”

Awww. Blondie was concerned for us! Be appreciative.

Aya was unsure of what to do and had not noticed that his fingers had finished dialing the number until his sister's muted voice was heard.

His attention snapped back to the phone and he placed it to his ear immediately. Apologizing to Aya-chan, he regretted pressing the phone so close to his ear as a high pitched and ultimately girly squeal shrieked into ear.

“Brother! I thought you'd forgotten about me! Not that I minded not having to be babysat and constantly called to ch…”

The voice faded out slightly as Aya pulled offensive piece of plastic away from his now sensitive ear. He looked to the doorway where Yohji was leaning against the wall just inside his room, trying so hard not to laugh.

Aya huffed and deliberately turned his back on the blonde, laying on his stomach

The voice in his head snickered again. Behind him, Aya heard a choked off sound.

He turned his head, still holding the phone at a safe distance and raised his eyebrow and the wide eyed blonde in the doorway.

Hello, can you say- Silver Platter? You're practically inviting passer-bys to stare. Not that it matters is it's Yohji. Invite him in I say!

His splayed position on the bed, ass facing the door, only just seemed to click in Aya's head. Though strangely enough, after seeing those wide eyes he didn't want to move. Would it be so hard to be sexy? To try and indicate subtly that he wanted something…someone?

Of course the extremely hentai images being supplied by his fertile imagination were helping his confidence a bit. Aya was also very glad that he happened to be lying on his stomach- obvious hard-on is not subtle.

Have you ever known Yohji to be subtle…he's being extreeeeeeemely nice lately. Maybe he wouldn't be so adverse to a suggestion of ripp--

Aya cut the voice off in frustration as his…problem…escalated into painful proportions. His sister's excited voice cut through his thoughts again and he focused on it.

You neglect us. Yohji wouldn't neglect us…

His temperature had been going down from listening to his sister chatter incessantly. It returned with a vengeance at the suggestive line.

Aya felt like banging his head on something. 'Think un-sexy thoughts, think un-sexy thoughts…'

While trying to cool his hormones with a thought of Momoe, he felt something land on the bed near his elbow.

Surprised, he opened his eyes and searched the bed. His eyes fell to a small innocuous stuffed grey cat. A cat that seemed to be glaring. If toys could glare.

Yohji spoke behind him, "Can't go to a sleepover without a plushie. I thought it suited you."

Aya watched in shock as the blonde walked away.

I told you so.

'Extremely nice…'

XXXXX

It would seem the voice is nudging him again.
