Schuldiger Schatten 00 - The meeting of Guilty and Shadow
Soft sobbing from the corner of the alley...
A sniffle heard.
Curiousity got the better of him as he went further in to investigate. No matter what he had seen on the streets, he was never prepared for the sight infront of him.
She was sitting there, clothes torn, her kness brought up close to her shoulders. Her long black hair was in a mess, tangles which would take weeks to comb out and the grease... He could see the tight ring of muscles around her privates, torn and bleeding. Looking at her, she couldn't be more than what? Six or seven? Making sure to soften his steps, he approached her.
No use.
The soft crunching of the freshly fallen snow under his steps caught her attention. She looked up, fear so clear and evident in her eyes. Her breathing became short and haggard as she tried to make herself smaller by moving further back in the corner she was hiding in.
Was it just him or was the shadows moving about him?
"It's alright... Ich verletze Sie nicht..." He whispered gently as he held out his hand. Navy blue eyes caught sapphire ones as a gentle smile graced his features.
"W... Wirklich?" She asked, her soft voice barely heard among the loudness of the roaring crowd outside the small world of the alley-way.
"Really." He smiled as she slowly slipped her hand in his. Stepping up to her, he scooped her into his arms, making sure to cover the signs of abuse.
"What's your name?"
"S... Schatten."
//Shadow... Interesting.//
"Mine's Schuldige." He replied as she slowly slipped off into a comfortable slumber, her head tucked under his.
