Chapter 1
Aya was in light sleep. It was freezing outside for mid-winter and it was late at night. The streets were pitch black. They had just finished a mission tonight. It was a simple: go in, kill the targets, and retreat. All of them came out without any injuries but there were those inevitable scrapes and bruises. The four of them didn't seem to care about that. They were fixated on the fact that they were dead tired. Due to a change of plans in the targets' agenda, the four members of Weiss staked out for five hours before the targets showed. When they reached home, they drew straws to see who gets the shower in what order. The results were Aya, Ken, Yohji, and Omi, respectively. Each of them retired to their own rooms after showering with the exception of Omi. Being the one who does the hacking, he was also responsible for making the reports or. you can say that the others were lazy.
Aya was falling deeper into his slumber when he distantly heard the creaking of a door. He doubted any of the Weiss members would come to bother him so he continued to sleep. But before he could cross over to the land of dreams, he felt someone jerk him back. Waking up a bit, he realized that someone grabbed his arm and was now shaking him, urging him to consciousness. Aya groaned and turned over to face the fool that dared to disturb him. /Someone is going to die tonight./ But with one look, Aya's anger melted away. It was Omi; he was standing there in his pajamas, the one with the matching cone-hat, holding his pillow and blanket, while trying to rub some sleep from his eyes.
"Ne, Aya-kun. Can I sleep here tonight? I think the heater in my room is broken and I'm freezing."
"…"
Aya was still shocked that Omi was here and didn't bother to answer. Of course, Omi took it as `no' and figured that he shouldn't have come. Aya's silence was never a good one.
"Never mind. I'll go to the mission room."
Omi turned around and began to walk out of the room. /This is a bad idea. / Aya didn't really want to show any softness but something was bothering him. His closed his eyes and gave in.
"No, it's ok Omi. You can stay if you want to."
Aya couldn't let the kid freeze to death or sleep on that horrible couch. There was a reason why he always stood against the walls during mission briefing. That `thing' was harder than concrete and lumpy. Omi had spent two whole days and night on the computer, searching for their targets. He hardly ate and didn't get any sleep and Aya knew that. If it were any other of them, they wouldn't be able to make it through. Even without food and sleep, Omi still managed school and the flower shop. He suffered enough already because of this mission.
"Hontou desu ka? Arigatou, Aya-kun." The voice soft and angelic with a touch of sleep.
/Kawaii………Wait. Did I just say Omi was `cute'? Kami-sama I must be tired. /
Aya moved over and waited for Omi to climb onto the bed but nothing happened. He opened his eyes and blinked in confusion. He turned his head to Omi's direction but the small blond wasn't there and the door was shut. /Where did he go? Don't tell me he went to the mission room. / Aya sat up and Omi came into view. The youngest member was curled up on the floor next to the bed. /Am I that frightening? /
"Omi."
"…"
"Omi."
"…"
Omi had apparently fallen asleep right away. /It figures that he would be this tired. / Aya reached over and shook Omi.
"..mmm.."
"Omi, get up."
"..mmm.."
"You're not sleeping on the floor."
"…"
No response. Omi was out again. Aya let out a resigned sigh. He got off the bed and lifted the small blond off the floor and placed him on the bed. Their leader then went about placing Omi's pillow under his head and covering him with his blankets without out waking the latter. Aya then got in himself and slept on the inner side. His bed was big enough for both of them.
Aya didn't get it. He was dead tired but he couldn't fall asleep. It had been an hour since Omi came in. Omi was sleeping like a baby and he was staring as the ceiling. Something was bothering him. He was yearning for something but he didn't know what he wanted. His head ached and his stomach churned. /Maybe I'm thirsty. / Aya pushed aside his blankets and made an attempt to get up when Omi shifted in his sleep, turned around and glomped Aya. Aya stiffened. He tried to move away but Omi threw a leg over Aya and pulled himself closer to the redhead, abandoning his blanket and pillow. Omi's face was buried at the crook of Aya's neck, breathing on the sensitive skin, causing the elder to shudder. One arm draped over their leader's chest and lightly cuffed the opposite shoulder. One leg hooked over both of Aya's legs, which resulted in Omi's `thing' to press against the redhead's hip.
/Great! What do I do now? / Not giving up, Aya attempted to move again but it was a big mistake. Omi strengthened his hold and unconsciously grinded against the redhead.
"..nmm.. -ya-kun."
Aya's eyes widened in shock. /Surely Omi did not mean me, right? I mean, so many names end in ~ya~. It can't be me…right? / Aya continued to debate with himself but only to feel sleep calling his name. That longing in his heart had magically faded and Aya did not know why. He didn't even bother to think about it. Not paying attention to his actions, Aya wrapped an arm around Omi's waist, pulled his blanket over them both, and fell asleep.
