EPILOGUE
It had been year, to the date, of when they had last seen Schwarz. And had lost Kaeri. Mastermind and Oracle were dead. Berserker was never seen from again. Though a small story in the papers about some brutal church killings in Ireland proved they wouldn’t have to deal with him any longer. Nagi had simply disappeared. Yohji was glad for that fact. If they had ever been ordered to hunt him down and kill him, he wouldn’t have been able to. And even though he would now gladly give his life for the boy’s safety, in a way like that it wouldn’t do any justice. The others would still follow through. Thoughts like this plagued Yohji today. As well as many others, and they all circled around Kaeri. The other members of Weiss knew this, and so let him be. He was again on the rooftop, smoking more so then any chimney, and watching the sunset. Though he never really liked them anymore. The thoughts that coursed through his head so strong, they nearly made him miss his cell phone going off.A Weiss Fan-Fic by Jepardy

Part 8:
EPILOGUE
“Nani?” was the only response he could generate when he finally got around to answering it.
“Yohji. We need to talk. I have something of yours. Meet me at the park in a half hour.” a static voice came through from the other end before the definite ‘click’ was heard. Yohji just stared at the phone for the longest time before putting it away and heading down through the apartment and out towards the park. He knew that voice. It was one he would never forget.
*~*~*
“You know, she was everything I had most of the time and everything good all of the time.” his voice carried back to Yohji from the bench that he was on.“I know what you mean Nagi.” Yohji told the boy as he stared at him from behind.
“She was born here you know. In Japan. Her mom was from Germany, but we had the same dad. Dad hated her, saying that she was a half-breed nothing, that looked too much like a German to be of any good. So he ran off and knocked up his secretary. And had me. Mom hated me, I wasn’t hers. She took off one day, back for Germany. She took Kai and me with her. Don’t know why really. As soon as the plane landed she forgot we existed. That’s how Crawford found us. Alone, living off the streets anyway we could. He tired to kill her, then took me.” Nagi paused, a soft sob nearly coming to surface. Yohji hated seeing the normally so unemotional kid so torn up. But even at that he didn’t come closer. Nagi knew he was there, and when Nagi was ready he would move.
“Its pathetic you know. We finally find each other, and she’s taken away again.” Nagi said. Not needing for Yohji to say anything. He already knew how the older man felt. A long silence dragged on between them. Much like the ones Yohji had shared with Kaeri. Finally, like all those days in a year past, Yohji was again the one to break the silence.
“You said you have something of mine?” he asked. Wondering what in the hell the kid had meant by that.
“Hai.” Nagi said as he slowly stood and turned around. Reveling what he had been holding in his arms all of this time, without Yohji knowing it. It looked like his coat, the one Kaeri had been wearing that night. Bundled up in the boys arms, but there was more.
“Her name is Asuka Naoe-Kudo. I figured Kai would like the general irony in that.” Yohji didn’t move. He didn’t blink. He didn’t even breathe. All he could do was stare at the small, squirming, bundle in Nagi’s arms. It didn’t make sense.
“How, why, but, just, HOW?” A very stunned Yohji asked. Nagi just gave a sweet smile, exactly like his sisters.
“She held on till I got her to a hospital. There she fell in to a coma. The doctors didn’t know how but her body was still doing everything needed to have a healthy baby. I knew she must have been feeding off of just enough of my emotions to keep the child alive. So I guess in some messed up way, she’s mine too. The day after she was born, Kai died.” Nagi told the still stunned ‘new dad’ as he handed him his daughter for the first time.
“We never, I mean only once, just before…” He stumbled through his words, and thoughts, trying to say, or even think, something coherent. Nagi just laughed at his attempts. Asuka even added her own remarks to the small celebration with a tiny coo.
“So, does this make us better people?” Yohji asked the boy, still looking his tiny daughter though. She had his eyes.
“No. We’re both still sinners.” Nagi told him simply.
“Then lets go be sinners together. And give this child a chance at innocence.” Yohji spoke to the boy. Looking at him, straight in the eyes. Nagi’s blue eyes widened slightly in surprise. Then his face lit up with a smile and he nodded his head.
“Do you really think that two guys can raise a little girl by themselves?” Yohji asked Nagi as they began to walk. Not really knowing where, except somewhere Asuka could grow up safe and loved.
“Well, you’re petty much gay, so it shouldn’t be that hard.” Nagi joked as they left the park. Yohji laughed so hard tears slid down his cheeks. Not because it was that funny, but because it was Nagi who had made the joke. Or at least that’s what he told himself the tears were from.
The two men then walked out of the park together. They had entered as two former enemies, brought together by a mutual friend, sister, and love. They left as a father and an uncle. And were never heard from again. Though several years later, a small girl, no older then 4, started coming in to the Koneko. It was now run by Ken and his wife, Aya-chan. Every week the little sandy blonde haired girl would come in and by two single daises. She would always pay for them, even if Ken tried to take pity on her and just let her have them. And as she would leave, she would flash them a smile sweeter then any the world had ever seen and tell them she would see them next week, a twinkle forever staying in the dazzling jade-green eyes that she had.
