"Six months!" Schuldig howled furiously, Nagi using his precious laptop as a shield between him and the furious telepath. Crawford was currently locked away in his office, to their surprise allowing Ken inside with him as long as the small brunette didn't cause too much chaos.

That only lasted perhaps two minutes until Ken's soccer ball bounced onto the desk, startling the precog so that he spilled copious amounts of ink all over his neat handwriting. Nagi had had to save the small chibi as Crawford vigorously shooed the two of them out. Nagi was sure he had never seen Crawford's vein throb so much on the man's forehead.

"That's what the information said! With the amount of serum that was splashed onto Ken and Omi, it'll take them six months until they eventually grow back to their appropriate age!" Nagi answered roughly, not liking being backed into a corner by the taller man.

"You mean I'll have to deal with those rugrats for that long?! No way! Into the trashcan with the both of them!"

"Schuldig…"

Farfarello glanced up at the irate telepath after glancing at Ken to make sure he was still in the area he was previously rolling his soccer ball around. He glanced back to watching over the small blonde chibi as Omi splashed paint across large pieces of white paper, the Berserker sitting opposite of the small blonde and painting his own picture with very calm and surprisingly sure strokes of paint. "You're just upset that they messed around with your shampoo bottles." He said dryly.

Schuldig growled at the pale man. "They put dead bugs in my shampoo!"

Nagi giggled softly. "Your scream echoed throughout the house."

"Look at the little twerp!" Schuldig growled, pointing an accusing finger as Omi continued obliviously smearing paint onto his paper to form a large rainbow effect of colors. "He acts all cute and innocent. Don't believe him for a second!"

Seeming to sense Schuldig's furious gaze Omi glanced up, grinning brightly at the tall redhead "Schuschu!" He cried, leaping to his feet and running towards the telepath.

"No no! Don't touch me! You're covered in-ARGH!!" Schuldig howled as Omi leapt into the air and glomped him, small hands staining his jacket with long streaks of finger paint.

//Exit, Stage Left// Nagi thought desperately, snatching Omi away from the howling telepath and running upstairs with the small blonde, Ken right on Nagi's heels while the Berserker dealt with the raving redhead. //Perhaps it's time to take the two chibis to the park today!//

< < < < <> > > > >

Ken kicked the black and white patterned ball vigorously, running after it as it rolled a short distance away. Once he caught the ball he turned back and waved to Nagi who was sitting on a bench fifty feet away. The telekinetic waved back to him while brushing dirt off of Omi's clothes since the boy had fallen off the monkey bars and was almost coated completely over with dirt and dust. Ken glanced around looking for Farfarello, biting his lip in worry for not being able to see the man. After a moment's worry he began idly kicking the soccer ball around, looking up to see if either Farfarello had come back or if Crawford or Schuldig had decided to come join them at the park. It would be nice if the two men would decide to join them, even with there being a large number of kids and people around though the portion of lawn he was playing in was surprisingly absent of other kids.

Ken kicked the soccer ball too hard and the ball rolled away, the small brunette chasing after it, unintentionally moving out of Nagi's range of vision. The brunette ran after the stubborn ball, crying out in delight as it finally rolled to a stop. He bent down to pick the soccer ball up, finally noticing the pair of black shoes in front of him. Slowly rising to his feet with his soccer ball held against his chest Ken looked up to see an unfamiliar adult, the man dressed in blue slacks and an orange sweater with almost blood-red hair and a strange shade of purple eyes.

"Ken?" The stranger asked, looking down at Ken with a strange look that made the brunette squirm uncomfortably. "I'm not supposed to talk to strangers." Ken answered hesitantly, remembering what Crawford had told him before Nagi had taken them to the park, about talking to people other than Schwarz and not going with strangers.

The tall redhead frowned, looking down at Ken. The small brunette didn't have a chance to move away before the stranger darted forward and grasped him around the waist, lifting the brunette up off of the ground, forcing Ken to drop his soccer ball. Ken screamed loudly in fright as the man carried him away from Nagi and Farfarello's familiar presence.

< < < < <> > > > >

"KEN!" Nagi screamed, hearing the brunette chibi's scream. Omi was shouting Ken's name as Nagi leapt to his feet. Nagi turned and saw Farfarello running towards him, silently thanking whatever entity there was when he saw Crawford and Schuldig right behind the Berserker, both men apparently having decided to finally join the two other assassins at the park.

"What the hell happened!!?" Schuldig demanded, shifting through the confusing thoughts of the telekinetic and the small blonde chibi.

"Abyssinian." Crawford growled dangerously, his eyes directed away from the group as he watched a white Porsche roaring away from the park.

< < < < <> > > > >

"Smooth move, Aya!" Yohji shouted over the loud howls, Ken sobbing loudly as he sat on the couch, the small brunette's face damp with tears as he cried out the familiar names of the Schwarz assassins.

"Yelling won't fix anything." Aya snarled, trying to keep himself from yelling back at the lanky blonde.

"What's that? I can't hear you! My eardrums won't stop ringing!" Yohji yelled back, cupping his hands around his ears to try to amplify Aya's voice over the cries of the frightened chibi.

"Ken!" Aya snapped loudly, dropping down to crouch in front of the small chibi, bringing the small tear-stained face close to his own. "You have to calm down, Ken."

"I want Farfar and Schuschu!" Ken howled.

" Farfar and Schuschu?"

"Who the hell is Farfar and Schuschu?"

"Yohji! Language!"

"Nagi! Crawford!" Ken sobbed.

"Schwarz!" Yohji shouted, jerking to his feet.

"We were right in our assumption," Aya said solemnly, "Schwarz did in fact acquire Ken and Omi at the warehouse."

"That we did, and we would like them back."

"Huh-"

"What-"

A large telekinetic blast sent the two members of Weiss sprawling, the table barely missing their heads as it soared through the air and smashed deep into the wall behind them. Aya cursed colorfully as Schwarz spilled into the mission room, Crawford leading the assault as Nagi and the Berserker followed close by his side. The redhead felt his face pale when he saw the blonde child held securely within the telepath's arms, Omi clutching worriedly onto the front of Schuldig's jacket.

His musing ceased when he caught sight of the Berserker closing in on Ken, the pale man reaching out to pluck the brunette chibi off of the couch, Ken simultaneously reaching out towards the familiar man.

"NO!" Aya roared, leaping to his feet and surprisingly managing to tackle Farfarello, both men slamming into the ground before Farfarello managed to acquire a hold on Ken. Farfarello snarled nastily, grappling with the man who dared get between him and the small brunette.

Crawford, having 'seen' what Abyssinian planned to do mere seconds before acting out his lunge, moved steadily towards the frightened brunette. Yohji's attack towards the precog was halted as Nagi's telekinetic powers grasped the tall blonde like a large invisible hand and threw him across the room so that he landed roughly on top of a plush chair in the corner.

To Crawford's surprise a small sigh of relief escaped him as he grasped the shaking chibi in his arms, soothing Ken's soft sniffles by rubbing the boy's back. He moved out of the way as Abyssinian was throw past him, a cackling Berserker practically riding the redhead to the ground, managing to finally catch the stubborn leader of Weiss in a firm headlock.

"Bastards!" Yohji cursed, tumbling off of the chair and falling almost flat on his face onto the floor. "Give them back!"

Schuldig snickered, taunting the blonde member of Weiss by rubbing his cheek on top of Omi's head, "Sorry, Weiss, but I've come to like the kittens to where I think I'll keep them."

"You egotistical pri-" Yohji began.

"LANGUAGE!" Nagi and Crawford shouted simultaneously.

"Abyssinian," Crawford said calmly, looking down at the angry man still trapped within Farfarello's grip, "Farfarello will release you if you promise not to touch either Ken or Omi."

"Why should I promise that to any of you?" Aya demanded heatedly.

Crawford couldn't help but smirk maliciously, "You wouldn't get past Farfarello alive if he thought you meant harm to either Ken or Omi."

Abyssinian remained silent for a lengthy period of time, furious amethyst eyes meeting the calm brown gaze of the leader of Schwarz. "Fine." Aya agreed finally.

Farfarello released the redhead, Aya rubbing his throat indignantly as the Berserker moved back to stand with the rest of Schwarz. Ken bounced impatiently in Crawford's arms, reaching once again for the Berserker. "Farfarello!" Ken demanded impatiently, his demands answered as Crawford handed the brunette over the paler man, the precog unable to stifle a small feeling of regret of not having the warm presence held within his arms.

Farfarello smirked knowingly at the redhead telepath, casually holding the brunette in his arms. "He said my full name first." Farfarello grinned knowingly at the telepath.

Schuldig merely huffed furiously, a small 'Shut up' muttered under his breath. Both of the men firmly holding the two chibis in their arms moved to sit comfortably on the couch with the two squirming bundles of joy, Nagi and Crawford calmly placing themselves between the remaining members of Schwarz and what was left of Weiss.

"Well then," Crawford sighed, "It appears that our situation is about to become more entertaining."

With a large amount of effort the precog dredged up his vast amount of patience and began to explain how things were going to have to be dealt. Now that the two chibis were in their current state for six more months, not the mention the two assassin groups playing a perverse role of 'parents' to the little kids, things were going to go a whole way past being 'entertaining'.

< < < < <> > > > >

"No no no no no!!" Crawford growled, practically smacking the bag of vegetables out of Aya's hands. "Do you want them to choke? They'll never be able to swallow those heads of broccoli."

Aya and Crawford were in a middle of an intense staring contest while the other assassins tried to keep both Ken and Omi from wandering off in the convenient direction of the candy aisle.

To explain the situation, it went like this. Both Schwarz and the remainders of Weiss had come to a mutual truce. Both teams would help in taking care of the chibis, but it had finally been agreed upon that the two chibis would stay with Schwarz during the nighttime since they were more comfortable in the presence of that particular assassin group. Thankfully it had been Manx and Birman who had decided that outcome, trying to avoid a large fist battle within the mission room once the two women had arrived after being told of the situation with Ken and Omi.

Of course, Manx and Birman had to cuddle and fuss over the two chibis when they had first arrived at the flower-shop before actually getting to business, the two women finding no shame in smothering the two boys with undying attention.

It had been nearly a week since the incident at the park and the confrontation in Weiss's mission room. Ken and Omi had warmed up relatively well to the two members of Weiss, seeming to find pure joy in designating the two men as their 'Uncles'. Manx and Birman got a kick out of being called 'Auntie Manx' or 'Auntie Birman'.

Crawford personally grew nauseous over the thought of whom the two chibis thought was the mother of their sick little family ground.

So after a heated debate on the proper diet for Ken and Omi, both assassin teams found themselves in a supermarket trying to find the right type of food for the two chibis to eat, although it was quite difficult with Crawford's nearly obsessive drive to force nutritional value down the chibis throats and not corrupt their small bodies with candy or chemical byproducts. Aya seemed to have a fetish with having all meals consisting of vegetables and fruit. Yohji's idea of food was alcohol, cigarettes, and enough candy and junk food that nearly drove the precog into a fit. Schuldig wasn't any help, since his tastes seemed to mingle with the blonde member of Weiss. Nagi and Farfarello wisely kept their opinions to themselves, taking on the roles of watching over the two chibis so that they wouldn't kill themselves by trying to climb a large pyramid of canned corn.

"All we have to do is steam it and cut the broccoli into small sizes. They're not three years old, Crawford, they can chew solid food." Aya growled sarcastically, snatching the bag of broccoli back from the furious precog and tossing it into the nearly empty metal shopping cart sitting silently between them.

Crawford growled to himself, willing away the temptation to shove the barrel of his gun into the frustrating man's mouth and firing off a few rounds. No, musn't scare the general public.

The stains on his jacket would also cost a lot of money to clean.

< < < < <> > > > >

Ken pouted expertly up at Farfarello as the man placed him back on the tiled floor, ruining Ken's attempt at climbing to the top of the can pyramid. He kicked half-heartedly at the tile floor, scuffing it with the bottom of his shoe. Ken heard Omi yelling in delight, the small blonde managing to break free from Nagi's persistent grasp and go dashing wildly through the vegetable displays, focused intently on the stack of oranges that just begged to be toppled over. Uncle Yohji was right on the boy's heels, swooping down and nearly capturing the smaller blonde just before he himself careened into the display case of oranges.

"Great job!" Schuldig yelped, dashing over to try to stop the persistent flow of fruit that were rolling in every direction. Farfarello cackled wildly, pleased at finding an excuse to use his knives to stab the rolling oranges into submission. Aya and Crawford tried to stay on their feet by avoiding tripping on the stubborn fruit while Nagi intercepted a running store worker before he saw the damage done to his painstakingly done fruit stand.

Ken and Omi used the moment of distraction to wander aimlessly towards not the candy aisle, but past it into the toy aisle. They walked sedately down the long metal rows, looking around with piqued interest at all the types of toys and gizmos laid out. A particularly interesting stuffed animal caught Ken's attention and he nearly bounced over to the large toy, tugging it off of the display case. It was a large stuffed black panther with gold eyes, from head to tail as long as Ken was tall. Ken rubbed his face against the soft fur, laughing as the long strands of fur tickled his face and the long tail that curled around his feet. Omi, curious as to what had caught Ken's attention, ventured closer and laughed happily, tugging down a stuffed animal as well. Omi twirled happily while nearly suffocating the large gray wolf against him, nearly growing dizzy as he examined the soft gray fur and the bright blue eyes of the stuffed toy. Without looking as to which direction they were going the blonde and brunette continued on exploring the store, heading in the complete opposite direction from the others, hugging the large stuffed animals tightly within their arms.

< < < < <> > > > >

"Now look what you've done!!" Schuldig howled, nearly running around in small frantic circles, realizing that the two chibis had wandered off. Farfarello was beyond consoling, Nagi forced to use his abilities to keep the Berserker in place before he began tearing the store apart to search for the chibis.

"Schuldig," Crawford said with a surprisingly calm air, if one didn't notice the way his hands shifted anxiously from his sides before crossing over his chest.

"In case you didn't notice I was swimming in a sea of oranges! That makes it a little difficult to pay attention to those two!" Yohji snapped back at the telepath.

"I don't have time for you." Schuldig growled, spinning around and desperately trying to separate the various crashing thoughts of the numerous people within the large supermarket, slowly filtering through the chaotic words and images. "Ken! Omi! Where are you, you little brats?!"

< < < < <> > > > >

Omi perked up at hearing the familiar voice not too far away. He whipped his head towards the right, grinning as he recalled the individual calling his name. It was Schuldig!! Omi scampered away from Ken in the direction of the telepath's voice, forgetting to watch where he was going, the result was that he tripped over his own moving feet. He crashed hard onto the cold floor in a rough belly-flop, the stuffed wolf thankfully cushioning most of the brunt force, but Omi was shaken up by the shock of slamming into the ground. The small blonde's eyes watered and he hiccuped softly, a small plaintive whine escaping him as two trails of tears trickled down his cheeks.

Ken ran over when he had seen Omi smash into the ground, standing unsurely near the hiccuping blonde, fingers clenching around the dangling panther. Confused and frightened as to how to calm Omi, Ken's own face scrunched up as he sniffled softly in fright, trying to stifle the tears that threatened to leak out of the corner of his eyes. "Omi…" His voice cracked, "big boys aren't suppose to cry." Ken's voice broke at the last word and he scrubbed desperately at his watering eyes with the back of his thin arm, pleading with Omi to get up and stop crying.

< < < < <> > > > >

"ACK!!" The telepath squawked, nearly twisting around in a complete circle before he dashed away from the group, the telepath speaking quickly in German as he practically flew towards the other end of the store. Crawford was practically on top of the telepath as he ran smoothly after him, the Berserker close behind. Nagi desperately tried to keep the pale man in check with his telekinetic ability while being easily dragged along by the taller man. Yohji and Aya were not far behind, abandoning the shopping cart in order to follow whatever lead the German had uncovered through his telepathy. Aya's heartbeat quickened and a hard lump formed in Yohji's throat as soft muffled cries reached them, both assassins expecting the absolute worst.

< < < < <> > > > >

"Katzen!" Schuldig shouted in relief, falling to his knees in front of the small blonde, carefully pulling the blonde up onto his feet, the redhead's hands checking for any injuries and finding none. The other assassins stayed back as the telepath checked the small blonde over, Crawford the only individual to move forward to check on both of them before moving towards Ken. "Shhhh, shhhh," Schuldig shushed, trying to soothe the blonde, wiping away Omi's tears and pulling out a convenient tissue to wipe Omi's running nose. "You're alright, kitten. You're okay." The redhead soothed.

Omi hiccuped unsteadily, sniffling as Schuldig pulled the damp tissue away and tucked in back into his pocket. "I-I heard yo-you calling me-e. I ran towards your-r vo-voice and I fel-fell!" Omi whined, falling forward and wrapping his arms tight around the telepath's neck, nearly squashing the stuffed wolf between them both.

Schuldig rubbed his hands up and down Omi's back, murmuring softly in German and Japanese. "Ah come on, kitten. Don't cry anymore. Give me that big smile." He gently pushed the blonde a little ways back and tilted the boy's face to look up at him. "Come on, give me a big smile!" He encouraged. Omi offered a small watery smile and the telepath chuckled softly, glad to see that the smile widened when the small blonde was happy to know that the telepath wasn't upset at him.

"Now you definitely owe me a new jacket, getting your boogers all over it." Schuldig threatened, impertinently tapping the tip of Omi's nose with his forefinger. Omi giggled, ducking away as Schuldig tickled his sides, the chibi squealing in laughter, his earlier tears and fright easily forgotten as if it had never happened. Remembering his found treasure Omi pulled the stuff wolf up for Schuldig to see. "Isn't it cool, SchuSchu? It's a big wolf and its got blue eyes!"

Schuldig seemed to peer critically at the stuffed animal, wrinkling his nose in forced contempt. "Meh. It does have my eyes." The German drawled.

< < < < <> > > > >

Once making sure that Omi was in sure hands Crawford moved past the duo, heading towards the other chibi. Ken scrubbed quickly at his face although the redness around his eyes gave away his early tears. Ken looked first at Omi and Schuldig then back up at Crawford, seeming to try to cower behind the stuffed panther that he hugged against his chest. "I'm sorry," The brunette said sincerely, "I tried to tell him not to cry, but he wouldn't listen."

That surprised the precog. "Is it wrong for Omi to cry if he is in pain?" He asked.

Ken bit his bottom lip in uncertainty. "Daddy always said that big boys don't cry." He offered half-heartedly.

Crawford frowned at that timid comment. "Why did your father say that, Ken?"

Ken shuffled his feet, "Daddy would get mad if I cried. Said that it was bad to be a crybaby." The brunette stared up at the American with sad eyes, "Sometimes Daddy would drink when he was mad. Then he'd hit Mommy or me, but usually Mommy."

If Crawford didn't have the amount of self-control that he did he would possibly walk right out of the store and commit murderer.

Damn that man! No wonder the chibi had attached himself to anyone who showed some sort of caring or concern. His father probably didn't bother to even hug his own son while his mother was probably so afraid of her husband that she didn't even pay attention to her son.

/It would explain why the kitten didn't talk at all when he was first living with us/ Schuldig commented through the mental link, /Hell, it also explains why Omi wouldn't talk as well. Look at the bastard fathers they both had. Both of them probably lived in fear of their father's anger and were lucky to have any kind words or expressions aimed towards them/ Schuldig could certainly sympathize with the two boys. His own father had been a bastard that he certainly didn't miss; it also didn't help that his so-called 'father' had killed his own wife during a drunken rage, the only person who had ever loved Schuldig unconditionally.

//Then I guess we're basically making up for all of the pain and fear they lived through during their childhood// Nagi added softly, his own thoughts littered with the memory of his time on the streets and the family that had abandoned him to survive alone among the pimps, gangs, and other homeless people.

"We are not making up for anything." Farfarello murmured solemnly, his single gold eye sharp and knowing, "We are giving them a different future, one without fear and loneliness."

Crawford nodded his head in agreement to Farfarello's words. The precog met Ken's unsure gaze, the small brunette not realizing the conversation that had gone on between the members of Schwarz. Crawford barely held back the small sigh of regret at the buried fear and uncertainty clearly staring back at him through Ken's eyes. "You and Omi have nothing to be ashamed of, Ken. None of us are angry nor will we ever be angry if you show fear or wish to cry."

The American's words seemed to amaze and confuse the brunette further and Crawford had to resign himself to the knowledge that it would take more time before Ken was truly able to accept that he had nothing to fear.

Well then, they would just have to make due with the time they had.

"Well now. Look at the two of you." Yohji said with a small smirk, crouching down and looking at the two toys the chibis held. "I'm jealous now. Both of you have new friends." The blonde playboy sighed dramatically. "I feel so unloved." The man's tactic worked perfectly. The two chibis abandoned their toys for the moment and nearly glomped the tall blonde, the man barely managing to keep from plopping ungracefully on his butt in the middle of the store.

Aya rolled his eyes at Yohji's theatrics, critically eyeing the chibis new toys. "Looks like they found something else of interest other than candy." The redhead said, almost seeming to smirk at the precog, knowing the man's near hate of any form of junkfood or sugar-based products.

"And that is certainly a blessing." Crawford replied equally, bending down and grasping the stuffed toys under each arm, moving back to see if he could reclaim their nearly empty shopping cart from the throng of shoppers. "If I can keep those two away from that junk that people call food I'll be more than willing to buy them all the stuffed animals they want!"

"Blessing?" Farfarello said in vague confusion. Not liking that terminology the Berserker managed to find his way into the candy aisle on the way back to the group and secretly add a large amount of candy into the shopping cart when Crawford wasn't looking.

Needless to say Crawford was not too happy to have two very excited and very hyper chibis that night bouncing around keeping him up past midnight. He made Farfarello and a whining Schuldig pay by forcing them to pick up after the two chibis, not a small feat by all the mess the two boys had caused during the sugar-induced rampage. Nagi 'conveniently' escaped to his room during the whole commotion, taking no shame in hiding away from the precog's wrath.
