Weiss Kreuz Fan Fiction ❯ Undistinguished UnderScore ❯ A Blast from the Past ( Chapter 21 )
~*~ Again, one of those pesky chapters that go back and forth~*~
Zeva sped into her parking spot in the apartment complex.
"I want to change into regular clothing before we return Yohji's car." As she spoke she flexed the ignition with her Telekinesis and listened to the engine quietly die.
"Who says were returning it?" Neese leaned back in the passenger seat, placing her hands behind her head.
Zeva pushed open the drivers seat and glanced at Neese over her shoulder "Were returning it, I don't feel like getting killed."
"I don't feel like getting killed." Mimicked Neese "You are no fun.."
"But Neese! Aren't you forgetting the one major factor?"
"What?"
"If we return it, you get to see who it belongs to!" An evil grimmest of a smile swept over Zeva's face as she rose from the car.
"True, very true.." Neese exited the car with Zeva and walked up the flight of stairs to her appt. "Do you have a key?"
Zeva smiled and spoke in an egotistical fashion "One of the best!" Then, a small click was heard and the doorknob slowly turned and Zeva pushed on it, stepping aside to let Neese through.
"I really do love it when you do that." Neese stepped through the door, Zeva following closing the door and re-locking it.
"I'll only be a second." Zeva shuffled down the hall way to lead to her room and quietly closed the door as she began to quickly change.
"I can't believe someone stole my car!" Yohji shouted from inside Aya's Porsche.
"It's your fault for never putting an alarm system on it, Yohji!' Ken screamed back. Aya clenched the steering wheel, he was highly tempted to unlock the doors and proceeded to shove Yohji out of the passenger seat with the car still moving at the pleasant speed of 45.
"Can you guys just chill for now? Were almost back to the shop anyway." Omi tried desperately to keep the peace between Yohji and Ken and prevent Aya from crashing, or running over Yohji, either one. Aya slowed his speed as they approached the shop, nicely easing to a smooth stop. All the men piled out of the car, Yohji still fuming at the loss of his prized car. Aya shut his car door and locked it, while Omi went to unlock the door the shop. Ken shoved his hands in his pocket and looked down, lost in his own thoughts that were in desperate need of consulting, until his subconscious silence was shattered by a surprising voice.
"KEN!!!" In a blinding rush, he suddenly felt another body meet his own. Ken stood puzzled before looking down to see a head full of reddish blonde hair.
"Excuse me..Miss? Do I.."
"Ken! Don't you recognize me? It's me! Yuriko!"
Ken gaped as he stared down into the eyes of Yuriko "Yu..riko?!"
"Hai! It's me Ken!" She clinged around his waist tighter "Did you miss me?"
"I.." Ken stayed frozen, he didn't know what to do but old emotions quickly flooded themselves back to the surface clouding his eyes. "Yuriko!" he held onto her tight, resting his head on her shoulder. Yuriko smiled, pleased with this reaction as she buried her head in his chest. Ken gently pushed her back to look at her and smiled "What are you doing back?"
"I'm in town for a few-" she paused to stop and count on her fingers until she through her hands up aimlessly and said "A few weeks to two month's!"
"Two..months?" Yuriko nodded happily at he question. "How did you find this place?"
"I looked you up! Come on, your not THAT hard to find after all." She winked at Ken, before wrapping her arms back around his waist pulling herself closer to his warm, strong body. "I missed you so much.." Ken wrapped his arms back around Yurkio, holding her close and tight, the feeling of her body against his chest bringing back so many memories and emotions he thought lost.
"I missed you too.." Ken whispered gently in her ear, he hadn't noticed the other boys standing around watching him, slightly in shock but mostly shaking their heads until the sound of a sudden car horn brought their attention away from the soap opera drama.
"Holy Shit! That's my car!" Yohji pointed in distress as he saw his car pull up, Ken and Yuriko still lost in there moment. Zeva eased up in the car, winking and doing a two fingered salute as she parked the sexy hunk of metal, Neese still accompanying her in the passenger seat. But her cheerful expression was hindered by the image of Ken tenderly caressing another woman. Her hands clenched the steering wheel as her eyes widened in horror and shock.
"K..Ken?" Yohji ran toward the driver's seat, clenching the side of the door. But Zeva paid no mind to him as she kept watching the distressing image. "Ken.."
"Whoa Whoa Whoa! THIS is YOUR car?!" Neese seemed rather less than pleased as she looked up at Yohji.
"Why, yes. Isn't she sexy?" Yohji proceeded to sit on the side of the car, but gravity had other plans as he casually slipped off onto the pavement.
Neese smacked her forehead "Out of all the people..it had to be him.." Zeva opened the driver's door and eased her way out of the car, her eyes never leaving Ken and Yuriko who still stood in there embrace, her expression never changing. Then it struck Ken, and he pushed himself away from Yuriko and spun on his heels to look at the mortified Zeva that stood a small distance away.
"Zeva!" Yuriko glanced around Ken, and glared inventively at the attractive young crimson red head.
"Who's THAT?" Yuriko eyed Zeva, the tone and attititude of snotty ness ringing melodically through her voice.
"Ken.." Zeva could feel tears running to her eyes but she fought them back and forced a smile and slowly approached him. "I bet your surprised to see me, hu?"
"Well of course! You are suppose to be in a coma!"
"Yeah well.." She smiled looking down sheepishly "Blame Neese for that one, she's the one who woke me up." Ken laughed, almost forgetting about Yuriko until she cleared her throat from behind him.
"Oh! Zeva! This is Yuriko, she's an old friend of mine."
Zeva extended her hand, trying to be as generous as possible. "It's a pleasure."
"Oh, believe me the pleasure is all mine." Yurkio gripped Zeva's hand, and Zeva made sure she squeezed it just enough to show a hint of her aggravation, both there expressions showing ever visible glares at the other. Meanwhile Yohji had picked himself up off the ground and had resulted to leaning against his car rather than sitting on top of it.
"I feel a cat fight." He glanced down at Neese "How about you?"
"Oh yeah.."
Yohji rubbed the back of his neck "Shit.."
Neese shifted her eyes at an angle to eye Yohji "What?"
"Yuriko doesn't stand a chance!" Neese cocked a brow at Yohji's statement before she started laughing with him.
Zeva broke the hand shake and looked up at Ken. "I better be going, I don't want to keep you from your company." She bowed a little before turning and walking away.
"Zeva! Wait!" Ken ran after her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Let's do something tomorrow, ok?" Zeva leaned around Ken to eyes Yuriko who stood with her arms crossed, slowly tapping her foot on the pavement and Zeva did nothing but smile as she looked back at Ken.
"I'd love too." She quickly kissed Ken on the cheek before taking a step back to wink and give a peace sign to Ken, and a mischievous grin toward Yuriko whom appeared to be getting temperamental. Zeva turned on her heels with agility and singled for Neese to follow her back home. Once Zeva was out of eye shot, Yuriko attached herself to Ken's arm.
"Were going to have so much fun together Ken, just like old times." Ken smiled down at Yuriko who snuggled against his masculine arm, but in the back of his mind he knew this wasn't going to completely end the way he wanted.
