Weiss Kreuz Fan Fiction ❯ Undistinguished UnderScore ❯ Chapter 30
Aya groaned and grimaced in pain as he struggled to open his eyes to the dim lighting of what could be determined as a hostage quarter. He lifted his head slowly; his mind beginning to register his numerous wounds at once as various pains flowed over his battered body. He flinched in agony as he found it painful to breath at all and he could feel blood running down his arms that he quickly realized were stationed above his head. His wrists bound together with stiff rope that scratched at his skin with him hanging down from the ceiling. He stared up at his binds, the pale light showering him, washing out his already light skin. After realizing his current situation he lowered his head back down to be level with the rest of the room to try and understand his surroundings, and replay exactly what had happened in his mind. Distilled images littered his mind, of Kym and Yohji mixed with Ken. It was obvious he had been captured, as he had planned, except he hadn't intended Yohji to get caught in the midsts of it all. Yet he had no direct clue as to where he was currently at, and if Yohji had even made it through the final explosions.
`come back for us..' Aya recalled the phrase as the image filled his mind, flashbacks skipping through his head. `Take Kym and get out.' He closed his eyes letting his head relax, everything stung, and he had no idea to really determine what was injured. Though he found his thoughtful state butchered as a fist impaled his cheek. Aya's body jerked against his restraints and his body swung back and forth as he cracked his eyes to look down at the face of a man he somehow recognized.
"I see you're awake." The man sneered; popping his knuckles while Aya stayed silent. "You were a fool to stay behind, now you're nothing more than my little pawn." The man was young and handsome, every inch of his features charming and masculine to where if you didn't know any better, you'd think of him as a wonderful guy. He trailed his finger down Aya's chest that was still partially covered by his formillar black shirt. "You're quite beautiful, for a man." The man stared into Aya's amethyst eyes with his own baby blue crystals, blonde hair shading his face as it hung delicately in front of his eyes. The blonde masterpiece reached up a soft hand to wrap around Aya's neck and play with small pieces of his crimson red hair "We could have a lot of fun together. The other one of you isn't to bad either, but I have a soft spot for red heads." Aya's eye's widened in relief.
`So Yohji did make it through after all..but what happened to my trenchcoat?' Aya pondered the thought for a moment before the image came back to him. Just before the final bombs went off Aya stripped himself of his trenchcoat and placed it over Yohji and covered his wounded comrade with his own body. `So Yohji still has it I assume..and it's no doubt these shit heads have my Katana as well.' Aya glared down at the man who ran his hand over his helpless body in an act of seduction, the man caught his expression and smiled placing his face to his chest. Aya jerked as he felt the blonde's mouth against a piece of his exposed chest, and stiffened when he felt the foreign tongue wet his skin. The blonde slowly pulled away, running strong fingers through his soft hair with a smirk running over his face as he looked at the midily mortified and highly angered Aya.
"What's the matter? That not enough for my little captive?" Before Aya could react to refuse, he felt the mans body against his and his chin was pulled down to meet sensitive lips with a thick tongue that was forced into his mouth. Aya cringed, one thought running through his mind-`Thank God I lost my first kiss to Kym before this..' Aya tensed his muscles and attempted to find his legs among his numb body grateful for the fact that his ankles weren't bound. He quickly raised his knees and slammed them into the man's solid chest. Aya felt him gasp through the lip lock, and Aya watched his eyes fly open, dilated in pain. The man broke apart from his infatuation and staggered backwards, holding his chest in agony. "Yo..you little.."
"Sorry.." Aya spoke solemnly "I'm not interested unless it's of female gender."
The man glared up at Aya through blonde bangs, part of his face shadowed so only one of those blue eyes was visible. "You'll pay for that, nobody denies me anything. All beautiful things rightfully belong to me!" Aya stayed completely silent, and watched the man straighten himself, brushing back some of his blonde hair again with his fingers.
"No matter, I'm sure you're partner will warm up to me more so. Either way, I'll have one of you." He turned his back to Aya who still hung like a puppet on string, he wondered if his communicator attached to his shirt still worked. He shifted his head to the side, waiting for his molester to leave the room before attempting to speak into the small circle that was located on the inside shoulder part of his shirt.
Ken set Kym down gently and reached for the door on the Koneko, only to find that the door was partially cracked as if the shattered glass in the street wasn't weird enough. He scooped up Kym once again and nudged his thigh into the door, pushing the rest of it open with his foot only for his eye's to catch droplets of a blood trail on the clean tile floor. "What the.." Ken growled `Could this night get any -' he stopped his train of thought, he felt it best if he didn't jinx himself at this point in time. "Could..this be..Omi?" Ken spoke quietly to himself as he heard Kym groan and shift in his arms.
"A…ya..don't..go.." She spoke as if in a dazed dream and Ken knew he needed to get her in a bed before she woke up remembering all that happened. He trailed up the stairs, the droplets of blood haunting him on each of the steps. He stepped into his bedroom and placed Kym on top of his covers and she groaned as she squirmed with discomfort with the images running through her head. "Aya.." she turned on top of Ken's bed, twisting the comforter and sheets with her jolt. She could hear his soft voice echo inside her head. `Run..' Kym's eyes flew open and she quickly sat up, screaming the name of the red head, her chest heaving while her hands strangled the sheets by her side. Ken stood by the beside, watching her, it had only been a few minutes sense he laid her down when she awoke screaming the name of her lost love. "Where..am..I?" She looked around the room, no doubt with the soccer posted plastered on the wall it became obvious as to where she was "Ken's room..why am I.." She hunched over, slipping her fingers through her hair. "Was..it all a dream?"
"Afraid not.." Ken finally answered one of her questions.
"Ken! Where's Aya? Where's Yohji?!" Her voice became frantic and fear rose from her throat. Ken placed his hands firmly on the bed, hanging his head.
"Exactly where you think they are.."
"..What.." her voice was distant and airy. Her expression went from shock to anger, her eyes filling with rage as Ken stared hard into the mattress. She found herself captivated by her sorrow, and letting her pain take control of her in the most violent of forms. She lifted her hand and without giving Ken any kind of warning, she impaled him into a wall, holding him there with her Telekinesis. "You.." She rose off the bed and walked toward him, pressing his body further into the wall. "You let them die..HOW COULD YOU?!" Ken screamed in agony, as his felt like all his bones would soon become nothing but dust in a matter of seconds.
"KYM! STOP!" Ken cringed, she wasn't letting her grip go.
"I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR KILLING AYA!" She pulled her arm back and thrust it forward again, Ken's screams filling her ears. "HOW COULD YOU?!"
"WERE NO GOOD TO THEM IF WERE DEAD, KYM!" Ken's words hit Kym where she needed it. She gasped in realizations of her actions and immediately released him from her death hold, letting him slide to the ground. "..Ken…I'm sorry.." Ken leaned against the wall, his breathing heavy as he clutched his chest. "Is anything broken?" Kym approached him slowly, bending down to her aching friend.
"No, I don't think so." He cringed lightly as he staggered to his feet. "Just remind me to tell Aya never and I mean NEVER to piss you off." Kym rose to stand next to him.
"Ken Ken..what are we..going to do..?" Kym placed her hand on Ken's arm, touching him gently.
"I..don't know.." Ken ran his fingers through his hair, sighing deeply. "But I need to check something out." Ken began to step toward the door.
"What? What's wrong?"
Ken turned back to face the worried expression of the young woman. "I saw blood on the floor and steps coming in. I need to see if I can find out where it was coming from." Ken stepped outside his room and into the hallway, scanning the floor for the blood trail. His eyes becoming hallow, as his suspicions became reality "Just as I thought..it leads right into Omi's room. Omi!" Ken ran from his room to Omi's and flung open the door "Omi!" his body came to stand still as he witnessed the blonde hair bishounen sobbing face down in a battered heap on his usually neat bed. "Omi-Kun!" Ken rushed to his bedside, the frazzled boy turning his face to the side, his eyes puffy from numerous tears.
"Ken-kun..?" Omi sniffed, his face glazed with the residue of salty tears.
"Omi! Omi what happened?!" Ken became defensive; his voice stern and protective as the thought of someone abusing the Chibi entered his mind. Kym stood next to Ken, devastated at the appearance of the abused boy that in a time before this present era had never seemed to stop smiling.
"N..agi.." Omi hiccuped through his gimp words. "It was all a lie.."
Kym scowled down at the limp and distraut boy "What are you talking about? What about you're wounds?! Who did this? Omi!" Kym placed her hands firmly on the bedding, causing Omi to jump a little.
"Schwa..rtz.." Omi felt another wave of tears coming on as he buried his head back into his pillow. Blood had seeped out from his numerous glass cuts onto the once crisp and neat sheets, and Ken could tell dirt had ground its way in on some of the deeper cuts. Ken attempted to extend a hand, only to lurch it back as Omi suddenly clutched his pillow in a death defying grip as he lifted his head, his muscles shaking as he rotated himself over and slammed his pillow into the wall across the room where his door was located, screaming in rage. "They took my Nagi away from me!!" Omi's chest heaved as he sat up on the bed with his sudden outburst of withdrawal from his beautiful lover of whom he had the deepest affections for. But just as soon as it came, it vanished and Omi's eyes rolled in the back of his head as he laced his top lids to his bottom before whitering back down in a pathetic heap of undistinguished emotions on his bed.
"Omi, we should bandage those wounds so they don't get infected." Ken spoke softly, trying to comfort the young boy.
"Leave me alone.." Omi's voice was dull and lifeless as he spoke into the pillow.
"Omi! We-" Ken was distracted by the static coming from his communicator. "What the? Someone's trying to reach me.." Ken fumbled for his communicator, he could hear what sounded like fragments of a voice but couldn't distinguish it. "Moshi Moshi? This is Siberian."
On the other side of the line Aya could hear Ken's voice rather clearly, despite the mild static interference and hiccups that his partially damaged wire caused.
"Siberian, can you hear me?" Aya waited through the annoying static for a reply. On Ken's end of the line, it was hard to distinguish just what was being said, but he heard pieces of what could be recognized as his code name. Ken jumped in shock as he felt Kym latch onto her arm.
"Who is it?!" Her eye's wide in astonishment. "Aya? Or Yohji?" Ken could feel her grip tightening with suspension through his leather jacket.
"I DON'T know yet Kym! Give me a second!" Ken jerked his arm away from Kym's clutch as he attempted to re establish the connection. "Hai, You're a little staticky and hard to make out, but I can still hear you. Who is this?"
Aya felt a rush of relief flow over him as he spoke back into the communicator "Abyssinnian."
Ken could only make out the first couple of letters and some in-between through the loose connection but that's all he needed to confirm it was Aya. After all, Yohji's code name didn't start with an A and didn't have so many damn S's and N's running close to together. But as soon as he was about to respond enthusiastically he heard the over excited squeal of Kym, and suddenly felt her arms around his waist as she picked up him and spun him around.
"HE'S ALIVE! HE'S ALIVE!!! KEN-KEN!!! HE'S ALIVE!" She continued to wail and squeal and Ken grimaced in pain as the room spun around him.
"Kim Kym…I…can't…BREATH!!!" Between all the distraction, neither one had noticed Omi had finally sat up from his reclusive state and was watching this odd ball scene play out in front of him.
"Oh! GOMEN-NE!" Kym quickly set Ken back down on the ground, while he clutched his chest and over exaggerated his breathing in a playful state.
"Hey..wait a minute.." Omi's voice was soft and delicate compared the loud and brash ones of Kym and Ken. "Why is Aya..what's going on?"
Ken sighed "Aya and Yohji they…well..we really don't know what happened. All we know is that they were caught in the middle of an explosion by choice..and now they're somewhere." Ken turned his attention back to the communicator with Aya waiting impatiently on the other end. "Abyssinnian! Gomen it took so long to responded, Kym got a little over excited and I kind of had to explain the situation to Omi. What's going on? What's the case with Balinese?" Aya responded quickly.
"Balinese is alive, and in all honesty I'm not to certain what's going on. Yohji really wasn't supposed to get dragged into this..it was just suppose to be me who got caught."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GET CAUGHT?!" Kym blared through the communicator, making Ken and even Aya grimace in pain. "YOU JERK! THAT MEANS I GOT ALL WORKED UP FOR NOTHING AND THAT REALLY WASN'T A KISS GOODBYE!!!"
Aya smirked; glad the others couldn't see knowing Kym was being sincere in her own way "So you would of rather me be crushed with the bombs?" at the sound of Aya's response Kym jerked on Ken's collar where the communicator was.
"OF COURSE NOT YOU DOPE! I LOVE YOU! YOU COULD OF ATLEAST FILLED ME IN A LITTLE INSTEAD OF WORRYING ME TO DEATH!" Ken found himself caught in the middle of Kym's feuding and pledge of love to the cold, emotionless leader of Weiss.
"Well…this is just a LITTLE awkward.." Ken coughed a little as he jerked his shirt back onto his shoulder properly.
"What are you talking about Ken? He had everything already figured out and he-" Kym clamped her hands over her mouth, a crimson red flush flowing through her cheeks. "I didn't.." Her eyes wide with embarrassment.
"Yeah you…really did.." Ken tried to hide his smirk and attempted to restrain his laughter to keep from getting pommel. "And uh..what's this about a "goodbye" kiss?"
"SHUT-UP!" Kym wailed, grabbing the nearest thing to her, a thick hard-backed book. Ken suddenly grew pale as he eyed the book Kym had firmly in her grasps.
"Abyssinnian!!! YOU'RE WOMAN'S GOING TO KILL ME!!"
A stale and shallow "Good.." was the only response from the other side of the communicator. Ken gaped in horror at his friend's response as he regained his senses just in time to duck as Kym tried to smash the book over his head.
"Hey! Wait a minute! Should you REALLY be attacking the guy who has you're only form of communication on his shoulder?" Kym raised the book again in another attempt to strike and Ken panicked "HAVENT YOU EVER HEARD OF DON'T KILL THE MESSENGER?!!!" Just as Kym was about the splatter Ken's head with a book, she stopped and threw the book to the floor and shrugged.
"Fine, but one more remark that makes me blush like a Rose again and I will throttle you!"
"Aww but Aya likes Roses!"
"HIDAKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kym screeched as she reached for the book, with Aya cringing with irritantce on the other end of the communicator.
"Siberian, Jazz, Bombay because I know you're in the room somewhere. Listen to me!" They all froze, Kim settling in down, ready to be serious with Ken getting back in his more serious attitude. "As it stands now, I have no idea as to where I am so it's futile for any of you to even attempt to find me. But as long as I have this communicator I'll be checking in, never check in on me and I mean never. I will be the only one calling through this thing at all times so I don't run the risk of getting caught. I'll keep you posted." With that the transmission fizzled out and went silent leaving the three in ponder in the silence with their thoughts.
"Would someone MIND filling in the black wholes that are swirling around in my head?" Omi's voice weary and distraut.
"Only if you let us deal with you're wounds, and tell US what happened with Nagi and Schwartz." Kym concluded, a warm smile spreading over her cheeks. Omi sighed and nodded, his head seeming to dangle off his neck. Kym reached for his hand and helped him off the bed, guiding him to the bathroom to clean out his blood crusted cuts, waiting for him to explain the night he had endured. From the bathroom Kym could hear what sounded like phone buttons being pushed and she leaned back to examine Ken who stood in Omi's room with a phone held to his ear. "Who the HECK are you calling?"
"I'm calling Zeva, if anyone can help I know it's her."
"As much as she may love you, I doubt she'd appreciate a phone call at 2:30 in the morning, Ken Ken."
Zeva jerked violently from her pleasant dream she was having about Ken when the high pitched sound of her phone that was located right by her head began to ring. She fumbled blindly for her phone until her hand finally gripped it and she lazily pulled it off the ringer before the answering machine clicked on.
"Moshi..Moshi?" Zeva brushed back her long hair that hung in her pale face absently with her fingers.
"Zeva! Did I wake you up?" Ken's voice was enthusiastic yet showed hints of worry.
"Ken?" Her mind still sluggish as she tried to wake up more so to hold a subtle conversation. "No, you didn't wake me up." She lied, and to her at least it was the sweet voice of Ken and not some damn Tele-marketer.
"I'm sorry to call so late, but something happened and I think I'm going to need you're help." Ken sat down on Omi's bed, he was tired of standing and his muscles were finally becoming sore.
Zeva rotated herself in her bed and propped her pillow up to support her back as she leaned against her headboard. "What's going on?"
"Aya and Yohji have been captured."
"Woah wait..what?!!!"
"Aya and Yohji have been captured."
"I got that, but how?"
"It's a LONG story..something I'm sorry to say I'm to tired to explain."
"I understand, Ken. Do you guys have any idea as where they are?"
"No a clue, Aya's communicator still works so he's able to reach us through that."
"Well wait a minute…if Aya has his communicator…" Zeva stopped to ponder her thought for a moment. "How strong is the signal?"
"It varies a lot."
"Do you guys know the next time he'll contact you?"
"He didn't say, the last thing he said was `I'll keep you posted' "
"Do you think Omi could hook up a tracer to the line?"
"What?"
"Well if you guys have no idea where Aya is, then I assume Aya has no idea where HE is. So if were ever going to find him in time the most logical thing to do is to try and put a trace on the signal. The only thing that's against us is the fact that we don't know how long it'll take till the next time he tries to reach all of you."
"Now why didn't I think of that?"
"It's ok sweetie, we all can't be in our logical thinking patterns at 2:30 in the morning." Zeva speaking in a teasing tone through the phone.
On the other end of the line Ken laughed and clutched his chest falling back on the bed "Ouch..that hurt."
"KEN! QUIT HAVING PHONE SEX AND COME HELP ME WITH OMI'S WOUNDS ALREADY!"
