Notes: Okay this is my "what if" ... or more to the point, "Where is" fic. In the first two episodes of Weiss Kreuz Gluhen there is no Yoji or Ken to be seen. And since my knowledge of the Japanese language is practically nil I don't know where they are. So I wrote this instead. My first Gluhen inspired fic. Oh yeah, when I mention "football" in this story I mean soccer. It's still called FOOTBALL everywhere except the U.S.

Ran stopped by Kritiker to give Omi his report. He could have easily sent it via computer, but there were times when he just wanted to see his old friend and former teammate. Many changes had happened over the years and they weren't just limited to hairstyles and clothes.
Omi was now the head of Kritiker, Persia if you will. Ran's team of Weiss now consisted of Sena, Yue and sometimes Rex. He didn't mind them, they were competent, capable people, however, this didn't really feel like Weiss to him anymore.
He knocked on the office door, bypassing Persia's secretary whose back had been turned when Ran slipped by.
"Enter," the voice on the other side of the door said.
Ran walked in quietly, observing his friend. Omi looked tired; however, any tiredness he might have been feeling had vanished, the moment he saw who his visitor was.
"Aya-kun!" Omi exclaimed with a surprised squeak. He sounded much like he did in the days of the Koneko when he was still a teenager. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to give you my report on the school," Ran said, happy that he decided to make this a personal meeting.
"You didn't have to," Omi smiled taking the written report from Ran's hand. "Anything of significance in this report?"
"Not really. We're still trying to find out who is really pulling Todou's strings," Ran said in a quiet manner. It disturbed him that they hadn't gotten to the true target yet.
"We'll get them, don't worry," Omi responded solemnly. "Where are you heading to after this?"
"I thought I'd go visit some old friends," Ran said.
"Mind if I come along?" Omi inquired. "They are my friends also."
Ran nodded and headed out the door, with Omi hurriedly grabbing his laptop and jacket, to chase after the other man.
They took separate cars to the hospital. Meeting up in the parking lot, they walked inside Magic Bus hospital to the nurses station.
"We're here to see Kudou Yoji and Hidaka Ken," Ran said to the nurse.
She frowned. "You do realize that visiting hours are nearly over. There's less than five minutes left."
"Regardless, I'd still like to see them," Ran said frostily.
The nurse's frown turned into an impatient sneer. "Come back tomorrow."
Omi flashed an angry glare. "You must be new here. I'm Tsukiyono Omi. My organization runs this hospital. Take me to the director please."
The nurse turned pale. "Tsukiyono-san ... gomen nasai. I did only start working here a week ago. If ... you'd like to visit your friends ..."
"I will visit my friends, but," Omi's expression softened and a small smile curved his lips. "I should still be courteous and visit with the director first. Don't worry, I won't get you into any trouble. But if I come here without seeing Wakabayashi-san, I will never be allowed back in the place." He now laughed. He turned to Ran, "Aya, go ahead and visit I'll meet up with you later."
Ran suppressed the smile he felt when he saw the gleam in Omi's eye. "I'll visit with Ken first. Meet me in his room."
Omi nodded and left with the nurse. Aya walked over to the elevator and got in. He pressed the button to the seventh floor. Exiting the elevator he turned to the left going down the small hallway until he reached room 725. He pushed the door open slowly looking inside.
Ken was sitting on his bed watching a football game on the television.
"Who's winning?" Ran asked.
Ken frowned. "We're down by a goal, but I think Junko can even the score, if these idiots ever think to pass him the ball ... AYA!" Ken yelled when he finally noticed who had inquired about the game. "What are you doing here? Is Omi here too?"
Ran smiled. Even though he stopped calling himself Aya long ago, his former teammates, save one had trouble remembering that fact. It used to irritate him when they forgot, but now he scarcely commented on it anymore.
Ken was slightly unsettled about the smile. He still wasn't used to Aya showing so many emotions that weren't ones of anger or disdain. "How's life on the outside?" Ken asked.
So many questions, thought Ran, but he answered all of them in order. "I'm here to see you and Yoji. Yes, Omi is here. As for life outside, I hear that you'll be out in it again soon enough."
"Yeah, they think they've tightened the screw that was loose in my brain," Ken joked. "We'll have to wait and see. So have you gone to visit Yoji yet?"
"Not yet. I will as soon as Omi gets here."
"Ah," Ken laughed. "You're waiting for him to rig the monitors so you and Yoji can have some quality time."
"I'm sure he's doing this for you as well," Aya smirked.
Ken blushed and answered "Maybe."
Omi walked into the room. "Hi guys. Are you spreading malicious rumors about me?" he asked as he winked at Ran.
"Absolutely," Ran replied. "I'm going to visit Yoji now."
Omi smiled. "Tell him hi for me. I'll visit with him another time, but not tonight."
Ran nodded. "I will. See you Ken."
"Bye Aya," Ken said watching the other man leave.
Ran walked down several hallways before finding room 783. He again pushed the door silently peering into the room.
Yoji was standing by the window looking out on the city skyline. Ran's eyes roamed over the tall, slender man wearing a pair of pajama bottoms. He turned to shut the door quietly, sliding the lock into place. He walked silently over to Yoji and wrapped his arms around the man.
"Ran," Yoji practically smiled his name, leaning back into the steady warmth of Ran's solid body. "Isn't visiting hours over?" he asked.
"Not when you have Omi with you," Ran replied kissing Yoji's ear.
"Ah, so it's fair to say the monitors are off," Yoji purred at the feeling of Ran's tongue flicking over the curve of his ear.
"Hai," Ran breathed out, his breath tickling the now damp ear, sending a shiver along Yoji's spine.
"Good," Yoji said turning around to thoroughly kiss Ran. One hand caressed Ran's pale cheek, while the other sought out the long braid, Ran now wore these days.
Ran's hands were busy as well roaming over the smooth bare chest and back of his lover. Yoji moaned with each gentle caress on his body. He moved back reluctantly to take off the dark tie and white shirt that Ran was wearing.
"I can't get used to you in a tie," Yoji said with a smile.
"It's what all the schoolteachers are wearing," Ran shrugged.
"Not that you don't look sexy in it," Yoji said in a low, sexy voice. With the shirt and tie removed, Yoji began to work on the button of Ran's khaki pants. "It just takes some getting used to. Yanking a sweater off is much quicker." The pants and underwear were stripped from Ran's body tantalizingly slow. He slowly rose after removing Ran's shoes and socks to lick and nibble on one of Ran's pale nipples.
Ran's hands tangled themselves in Yoji's short curly hair. He did miss the long silkiness of Yoji's hair but he would never say that to the man. 'It's just hair,' was the last stray thought Ran had before falling into the oblivion brought on by the play of lips and tongue on his fevered body. His hands slipping under the waistband of Yoji's pajama bottoms to grasp warm naked flesh.
"Still no underwear Kodou?" Ran smiled.
"Hey, I'm doing good to wear the pajamas," he said as he stepped back to pull them off of his narrow hips. He took Ran's hand to pull him over to the bed.
"Do you hear me complaining?" Ran asked before pulling away long enough to pull a small tube from his pants that were lying on the floor. He walked back to Yoji, handing him the tube and pulling the tall man close for a tender kiss.
Yoji pulled out of the kiss with a drunken, happy smile on his face. He sat down on the bed, looked up at his lover and said, "Turn around."
Ran looked puzzled. "Why?"
"No questions Ran, just do it."
Ran shrugged but turned around. He felt a slight tug as Yoji took the tie that held his braid together. "It's going to get tangled," he groused.
"It's okay. I'll fix it when we're done," Yoji said as his hands combed through the long, reddish brown hair. "I can't believe they cut my hair here," Yoji sighed. "I look stupid."
Ran turned around to glare at Yoji. "No, you don't."
"I look like Farfarello only without the eyepatch and scars," Yoji pouted.
"You don't," Ran lied, trying not to laugh.
"You know what I love about you Ran?" Yoji smiled, "You're a terrible liar, but thank you anyway."
Ran did laugh at that point. "You're welcome. Now where were we?" Ran asked. "Oh yeah, wasn't it right about here?" he asked as he pushed Yoji down quickly straddling narrow hips. He captured Yoji's mouth in a hungry, possessive kiss that left both men gasping for air. Ran flexed his hips into Yoji, sliding their hardened arousals together. Ran leaned down to nibble along the long column of Yoji's neck.
Yoji husked out, "Ran, what do you want?"
"I want to feel you deep inside me. I want to come so hard I feel it from the tips of my hair to the ends of my toes. What do you want?" Ran panted. It took years for him to be about to say something like this.
"Just the chance to make that happen," Yoji moaned, his hands searching for the forgotten tube. Once he found it, he flipped Ran over on his back on the mattress, as he began slowly kissing down Ran's squirming body.
Ran was lying awkwardly on his hair but wiggled his body until it was no longer caught. Yoji's burning kisses made him nearly oblivious to the wet digit carefully teasing him below. They were both painfully hard at this point and Ran's patience was flying out the window. He growled, "Do it, Yoji. I can't wait any longer."
"Okay Ran," Yoji said also strained. In the past, they would play endurance games of who could outlast the other, but this wasn't the time for that. He quickly prepared Ran as carefully as he could. By the time he introduced a third finger, Ran was begging. Yoji slathered the cool gel on himself and pulled Ran atop his body.
Ran leaned forward, kissing Yoji, his rear raised high in the air. Then he moved back slowly knowing Yoji would have things arranged so he wouldn't have to aim. Thick warm slick flesh pressed in slowly past Ran's tight ring. Soft moans were echoed throughout the room. Then Ran set the pace.
Yoji had one hand on Ran's hip grinding into him. The other hand was buried into reddish brown hair, pulling Ran down for another blazing kiss. Ran granted the kiss before straightening up, his hands pressed into Yoji's chest as he began to ride his lover with abandon. His pace quickened, head tilted back as he moaned, "You feel good, Yoji."
"You feel pretty damn good too, as always," Yoji purred his hips driving into Ran, harder, deeper.
Ran leaned forward to change the angle a bit, his hair covering over them like a protective curtain from the world. Neither one would last for much longer, but they didn't care. Yoji's hand found Ran's arousal and began stroking him.
Ran's head tilted back again as a shuddering cry was issued from his lips. The orgasm being just what he wanted ... mind-blowing. The ensuing grip on Yoji soon sent him over the edge seconds later as he cried out Ran's name. Ran collapsed atop Yoji, energy completely gone. He knew he should move but he could barely keep his eyes opened.
Yoji welcomed the weight of his lover, as he tried to catch his breath. He turned his head to kiss Ran's damp forehead. "I've missed you, Ran."
Ran sighed. "I've miss you too. Ken's going to be released soon."
"Yeah, I've heard. Who would have guessed that? I was sure he was crazier than I was. But I'm getting better all the time. I won't let you down by staying here for much longer," Yoji said, as his hand caressed down Ran's back, tangled in his hair.
"Don't force yourself to come out of here before you're really ready. Don't try to rush back into Weiss either," Ran said quietly. "I miss you and Ken, but you both need time to get settled."
"Okay Mother, I won't push myself," Yoji laughed. "I'm not really all that bad off now. I've faced the demons that probably sent me here in the first place. It's time to move past all that and continue on with my life."
"I'm glad to hear that," Ran said, kissing Yoji's neck. "We'd better get cleaned up," he said reluctantly getting up to retrieve a washcloth from the small bathroom in the room. A fast clean up later, Ran was mostly dressed and Yoji was back in his pajamas.
Yoji pushed Ran to a sitting position on the bed before walking into the bathroom and bringing back a hairbrush. As promised, Yoji brushed through the tangles and attempted to braid a plait as pristine as Ran would normally have. Once his job was finished, he placed a soft kiss to the base of Ran's neck. "When I get out of here, you'd better schedule some time off from Omi, because I have many plans that involve you not getting out of bed except for food and bathroom breaks ... if that," Yoji smiled.
Ran laughed. "We'll see." He completed the finishing touches on his tie. "I really should get back," he added with regret.
"I know," Yoji said. "Is it a really bad case?"
"Students are being driven to suicide through programming and subliminal cues. We've been trying to find the ones responsible but it's been a slow process. Omi wants to be completely certain before we act," Ran sighed, as he slowly walked to the door, holding Yoji's hand.
"Gone are the days of 'Weiss, get that guy'," Yoji said. "Don't worry Ran. You'll succeed because you're stubborn. But it sounds like I should be trying to get back to active duty soon, if for nothing else to keep you sane."
Ran pushed Yoji into the door, pressing his body against the tall blond, capturing his lips while his hand fumbled to unlock the door. He pulled back to stare into lust-filled green eyes. Ran smiled. "I certainly hope you get out of here soon. I'm sure the director is tired of Omi rigging the monitors for us. I'll come by to see you in a few days, okay?"
Yoji nodded, pulling Ran close for one last kiss before saying, "Stay safe."
Ran smiled and nodded his head. He left the room without turning back. As he walked to the elevators he couldn't help but wish Yoji was leaving with him right now. He was never afraid of Yoji, even when Omi had both Ken and Yoji committed because they were getting to a point where they enjoyed killing others, Ran was sure Yoji would overcome the compulsion.
As he stepped on the elevator heading down, he noticed his body was still tingling. His thoughts returned to the conversation they had before he left. 'He promised he'd be out soon. He always keeps his promises. I just need to hold on and wait.'
With that thought came a warm feeling, making the night seem a little less lonely as he got into his car and headed back to the others that he could not quite think of as "Weiss."
