Chapter I:
What happened after?...
“Robin.”What happened after?...
“Robin, are you alright?” called Amon. Robin stood up as if waking up from sleep. She was unusually unharmed even when the facility has fallen on top of them. She saw an aura radiating around her and Amon just as it was dissipating. It seemed that the said aura came from Amon but she was not sure. How they escaped the crumbling structure, only Amon knows. She woke up in Nagira's apartment, sleeping in a cot. Amon was by the window, watching her. “How did we-- how did we escape?” asked Robin.
“I don't know,” Amon answered. “It doesn't matter. We need to get out of here. Nagira gone to get us some supplies. His secretary will come back to lend you some clothes.” She hesitated, “But--- but where are you going? What about the others?”
“I don't know what will happen; let's just pray that they're safe. Don't worry about me, just worry about yourself.” With that, he left Robin alone. Nagira came just as Amon was leaving. He carried a large box full of supplies with him.
“Hey-- hey Amon! Never mind. Anyway, how's your sleep Robin? I hope it was a good one. Here are the supplies that you're going to need: there's food, ammo, first aid kit and medical supplies, firearms, and clothes for Amon. There's more food and supplies downstairs. Steph will come back with some clothes your size, Robin. Here are also your fake ID's, passports and currencies from different countries if you ever need to move again. Robin, be careful, an enemy may show up at your door w/o notice. Your powers are getting stronger by the day, Robin. There is someone who can help you with that. I tried to find who could but all the witches that I know were either killed or were now hiding; and one last thing, try to be patient with Amon for me, okay?
Robin were silent the whole time, thinking what could happen, now that they're on the run. She only wants peace, nothing else. No more killing;she can't, not anymore. She had killed while working for the STNJ but, every human soul taken was a wound into her heart. Robin contemplated, reflected on the work that she had done in the past, was in her own miserable world when Amon, Nagira, and Steph were all watching; Nagira and Steph were in awe.
“What should I do?” Robin asked herself. A white aura glowed around her, enveloping her in purity. Amon saw her in a new light. He saw her power in its purest form; it was not fire, but it was her soul that burns inside her. He sat on a nearby chair and rested his head on his right hand, then he dreamed. He dreamed of her – of Robin. She was an angel, but not the common one from the heavens – she's one of the “specials” - an angel with an importance for humanity. The fire in her heart burns bright and her beauty was beyond comparison. She was looking below, right at the back of his head.
Flashback:
An evil laughter was heard, her attention averted to the man in front of him.
The witch up ahead had an aura of immense power surrounding his body. “ Where's your eve, Amon? Your precious little Robin? She could have been crushed by the hammer of my wife. Avalos is more powerful than your pretty Robin. She's too simple and feeble to have defeated my Avalos. She would–,'' he stopped. Robin appeared at his side with a deadly intent. Her light consumes the darkness that he created.
“Evening, Garib,” Robin whispered, “how's your wrath going? Aren't you and Avalos were supposed to kill me, to break the chain that binds me to Amon, and so you and her can be the Adam & Eve of witches?” Suddenly, she flew up and said, “ You're a fool, grandpa! Avalos was too eager to give me my demise, that I saw through her lies. HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME! Wha- what happened to the promise that you gave to grandma? HOW COULD YOU?” The world shook from the rage that he just witnessed. This was not the Robin that he knew and love. This side of her was unknown and he needed to see if it was real. Her eyes at that time were of white balls filled with hate, anger, and– power. He has never seen such intense emotion from her.
End Flashback
“How can this be? Who is she really?” So many questions ran through his head, making him uncomfortable. He was suddenly awoke shaken, not by Robin but by the flashback. “Amon? Are you alright? You look so pale,” she said with concern. “Um– I'm fine. I just need some rest, that's all,” Amon hesitated.
“Alright. Would you like a warm towel for your head?” Robin asked. She has questions of her own, concerning her real identity, powers, and why Amon was involved. Amon had silently promised her his protection with a quiet determination and fortitude. Who would have thought that a guy like him would volunteer to help and protect a simple girl like her. They have been staying at Nagira's place for a month and yet, he stood by her side, never leaving. He felt that it was his responsibility that their colleagues were now in danger and it was guilt that has driven him to this decision.
“Amon,” asked Robin. “ Are you alright?”
“I'm fine, I'm just going to bed.”
“Alright, but if you need anything, you know where to find me,” was Robin's only response. Amon didn't acknowledge but had gone straight to bed. He was always like this for fear of what would happen if he ever get attached to her. He couldn't take it if something happened to her;not when he already has some feelings for her that just seems to grow each day. He's the type to be quiet all the time unless there's a mission. He doesn't like to talk much, (pretty much like Robin) but he acts especially when needed.
Amon laid down on the bed, but he couldn't sleep. He doesn't know what to do in this type of situation. He closed his eyes but all he could think about was Robin. It's not like him to have feelings for an adversary. In fact, he didn't have any feelings for any of the previous ones. It was odd and new for him; he was not liking it nor does he like to see someone get hurt because he doesn't do his job.
At 12 midnight he had finally fallen into what was supposedly “Dream Land” like what the kids used to say when they woke up and had a dream. What he saw there was NOT a dream nor a nightmare but it was a feeling, a strange feeling that coincidently, he was currently having. It was a mixture of desire, dread, and – LOVE. Images of Robin animated into his mind and the feeling was getting stronger and scarier. The pictures was moving faster and faster until they all exploded into nothingness. It was dark again, the kind that he liked though, that feeling of dread had never gone away.
There was a light, like at the end of a tunnel. When he came closer, an image of Robin standing casually was just there. “Come with me,” she said. He did so, and when he went through, he came into a huge garden. Full of trees, full of flowers, full of life. Every kind of bird was singing anywhere you go. And then, there was his mother. Not the monster that he had seen the day she died, but the person that he knew and loved.
“What is this place?” thought Amon, “how can this be?”
“This is your dream, my Child; your desire, at least 1 of them,” says his mother.
