The son of darkness shall meet his angel of fire.

The wind whirled and howled around the young girl walking down the dark street, her boots click-clacking on the sidewalk. Above, the moon shown with a radiant brilliance sending rays of light down upon the lone the figure. Shadows danced and swirled, curling around her body. Dead leaves skimmed across the ground in front of her feet, making light, eerie scraping noises.

Child . . . A strange whispery voice called from the lively shadows.

Me? Asked the same youth, her dazzling emerald orbs glancing around.

Yes . . .you . . . ye are the child of fire, no? The woman's voice continued.

Robin looked around nervously. `Does she know? No . . . she can't. How could she?' I... I don't know what your talking about ma'am She spoke turning around to see an old women dressed in violet robes. Her white-gray hair pulled back into a long, neat braid, reaching down to the small of her back; sapphire eyes surrounded by age-old wrinkles gleamed with an intelligence that surpassed normal humans. Many gold bracelets adorned her wrists, jangling together each time she moved. The bottom of her robes gathered street dirt and made a swishing sound as she walked.

But thy does. Ye know exactly what I speak of.

N-no I don't. The fire witch spoke.

There is no use in denying it... I too, am of witch blood. I can sense your power, child. Now, ye come here. I shall tell thee what is to come The older witch spoke as a cloud of hazy purplish-blue smoke covered the ground around her canvas-shoed feet.

You... can see into the future? Robin asked, confused.

Nay... not with everyone. Only witches...and other creatures that walk this world at night

Creatures... that walk this world... at night? What do you...?

Hush young witch The sapphire-eyed woman interrupted while looking into a now indigo fog, her eyes going cloudy; face stern in concentration. Ye... fire witch... shall meet a creature of the night. He shall be intrigued with ye child. But you must not be with him. Ye must forget thy ever met him...for he is damned. She said, her orbs un-clouding as she looked up at the startled younger witch.

What do you mean...? How is he damned? Who is he? Robin asked stepping forward. When will I meet him? The older of the two just shook her head, hair swinging lightly with the movement.

Only time will tell my child. She said into the wind as she faded away with the last bit of indigo smoke.

Wai- Robin began, stepping forward. How do I know its him? She asked in a whisper to the wind.

Brother...where are you going? We have plenty of feast right here. Why not stay and join me? A brown haired man asked, wiping at a droplet of stray blood with his finger.

Amon... why are you so silent? Come on... no need to leave. Just come and . . . Nagira spoke as the front door slammed shut. ...Eat here with me and Sakaki.

A dark figure walked -no, it was more of a glide- down a dirty street that held a musty cloud of smell. The figure fused with the shadows it seemed as it moved through the alleys Japan. It stopped as it heard whispering.

How do I know its him? Asked a light female voice. As the shadow figure glided in closer with out sound, he saw loosely flowing golden locks and a girl who appeared to be no older than 16 wearing a long black pilgrim dress. He moved closer still, and silently cursed as he saw her stiffen.

Robin stiffened as she felt a presence behind her. Ever so slowly, she turned around... to be staring into cold, slate eyes.

Okay. I know that the first chappie is shit (and short), but it does get better. It's weird actually, seeing how my writing evolves throughout this story's chapters.
