Yay! I finally put this story up… I've been working on it for a while. I cant promise fast updates school as usual. Oh well nothing you can really do about it but deal with it anyways on to the story.

Introduction

“Kagome this is your entire fault! You always end up doing something indiscreet like this! Why can't you shape up more like your cousins? You good for nothing little girl!” Screamed an enraged women swinging at the defenseless child laying defenselessly on the floor. “I'm sorry mom, I didn't mean to drop the vase I can try to fix it mommy. I'm sorry please don't hit me!” Pleaded a young child with fresh tears trailing down her face. An older Kagome stood in the background all she could do to her horror was watch as the scene from her past unfold upon her. A strong wave of panic, fear and images hit her abruptly from the sudden rush she fell to the floor reliving that exact moment in her life. She recoiled to the world with no one to hear her whimpers of pain but the rats and other insects inhabiting the area of her small dark and damp room. As she was zoned out to the world her mother had walked in, in a hammered state and placed her hand lovingly on Kagomes' head and started to play with her hair. Once Kagome felt a hand in her hair did she return to reality, dumbfounded she lifted her gaze looking for the face that was surely to be attached to the hand. As soon she found the face and had registered who it was she was once again feeling aghast for what was to come. Her body immediately tensed as her mother lifted her other arm as she reached over to pull Kagome into a hug she said In a soft whisper “My dear Kagome what have I done to you all these years?” The older women said with tears at the brim of her eyes. Kagome was so stunned she didn't know what exactly to do. Her mother had never been this kind to her. As Kagome opened her mouth to voice her thoughts nothing came out she sat on the ground opening and closing her mouth like a gaping fish out of water. Her Mother had noticed her actions and said “Kagome Its ok I won't get angry! Just tell me what you have to say dear, I know I've done you wrong.” Still tenderly playing with her hair, Kagome summed up all of her courage and said in a weak and hopeful voice “Do you love me again mom?” as tears started to form in her eyes her vision started to dissipate so she ran her arm over her eyes wiping the tears away and rejuvenating her vision and once again looked at her mother awaiting the answer. A small spark of rejection ignited in her heart and rapidly started increasing. Her mother just looked at her all vital signs of being drunk had absconded and her eyes went emotionless and started laughing until her laughter started to echo in the small room with no windows it got deafening. She abruptly stopped laughing and looked at Kagome and said with a passion “You pathetic girl you actually thought that I would love you? Your nothing but a product of rape, You're nothing but an accident! You look so much like your father…and that's definitely not a good thing you little shit!” She said while she slapped her daughter across the face. The older women stood up and before she turned around she narrowed her eyes and spat on Kagome and walked out of her daughters' room slamming the door behind her and shutting the only source of light out.

 

Kagome just sat on the floor digesting what her mother had just told her. She pulled her knees up to her chest and went over her opportunities. As she contemplated her choices she stood up on weary legs and silently crept to her door. By the time she reached the door she had chosen what she was to do, with determination she made her escape she walked out of her house and looked around her village to make sure no one would be able to see her leave the village for good. She ran to the only area she knew the village people would not look for the fear of their lives…the forest…
