Chapter 2

***In the forest***

Kiba why are you out so early? Toboe asked getting up and shaking the access snow from his fur. I was hungry you got anything against that, Tsume's back come on let's get back. Kiba said running with Toboe back to the clearing where the four had slept previously. "Your back Tsume where were you last night?" Kiba asked now in his human form. "Yeah we were worried about you." Toboe said also in in his human form.

"I can take care of myself Toboe." Tsume said leaning up against a tree. "So where were you?" Kiba asked a bit more strongly. "What are you so rattled about you get into a fight?" Tsume asked. "Answer me Tsume." Kiba said narrowing his eyes. "I went out hunting last night." Tsume said looking at Kiba noticing something different about him. "There's not many deer during this season, and I'd appreciate it if you tell me where your going from now on, I don't need us getting separated." Kiba said.

"Your acting strange Kiba something wrong?" Hige asked coming out from behind a bush. "Nothings wrong." Kiba said lying. Actually there was a lot wrong this dream he kept having the girl, the endless amount of snow they were in, what did it all mean? Well he supposed he would have to find out sometime but he, Tsume, Toboe, and Hige were many miles from the city, it would probably take them months just to get back there again, and Kiba wasn't all to pleased about having to wait or go that long just to find out what some stupid dream that was plaguing him meant.

If that girl in his dream was in trouble there would be no way in which to save her from that trouble. Kiba and the others would just have to take that risk and go back to the city, if Kiba wanted to see the girl and make sure she was safe. Who knew something good might actually come out of the whole meeting of the girl and Kiba.

***In the City***

"Sissy I'm going to see the big tree." I said running towards the door. "Hiroseki don't stay up there to long now I need your help with something later on today ok?" Sissy asked gently, sissy has always had a soft and soothing voice kinda like a lullaby. I look back at sissy and smile at her. "Okay sissy, come on White Fang-papa." I say going out the door with White Fang-papa. We only have to walk around to the back of the house and through an alley way and up a few of the rocks and we're at the big tree that has a hole in its base. "I can't stay long my friend but there is something I need to ask you. For a while I've been having a dream with a white wolf in it and I want to know who it is and why we are the only two in my dream, please do you know anything about the white wolf, if you do please let me know." I say to the tree and bow my head and clasp my hands together and say a silent prayer telling the gods to let this tree live forever.

***Forest***

"We're what!?" Hige shouted his eyes becoming as big as saucers. "We're going back to the city." Kiba said getting up and stretching. "Your not serious Kiba the city is months from this place." Tsume said. "Tsume's right why do you want to go back to the city?" Toboe asked looking curiously at Kiba. "I have my reasons. Let's go." Kiba said taking the lead. "Hold on do you even know the way back to the city?" Tsume asked.

"I know every single route to and from the city it will take us exactly five months to get back to the city I want to make it back to the city in two months." Kiba said looking back at his pack. "That's crazy you're asking us to run all day and half the night! Kiba it's not reasonable." Tsume said. "Tsume's right and Toboe is the youngest out of all, he probably can't even run that long yet." Hige said. Kiba growled low in his throat and then tried to control his voice. "He'll have to run that long if we're going to make it to the city in time." Kiba said. "Toboe is still a cub by our standards." Hige said.

"He may still be a cub but he's old enough to make his own decisions, whatta you say Toboe think you can run that long?" Kiba asked. "I'll try to." Toboe said looking down at the ground. The youngest member of the pack still had quite a lot of growing up to do and he had become like a son to Kiba and the others so whenever they asked him to do something he would try his hardest to get it done even with a big task such as being able to run all day and half the night he was determined with all his heart to please the others. "That's just the answer I was looking for. Now that is settled let's get going I want to cover as much ground as possible." Kiba said as he and the others transformed into wolves and ran from the clearing through the forest.
