Chapter 8

"Great how are we suppose to get over that?" Tsume asked looking at the gap. There had to be another way to get to the next city besides that bridge but where was it. It had started to snow a while before the five had gotten to the bridge and now that little bit of snow had turned into a full blown blizzard making vision pretty much useless to them.

"So what do we do now?" Toboe asked. "We go another way is what we do." Kiba said. "So tell us smart guy what other way is there?" Tsume asked. "This way." Hiroseki said running in the opposite direction. "Does she even know where she's going?" Hige asked. "What do we have to lose?" Kiba asked following behind Hiroseki. "Guess your right." Hige said as he and Tsume followed behind Kiba.

"Hey guys wait up." Toboe said and ran to catch up with the others. "Hiroseki where are you taking us?" Kiba asked looking at Hiroseki. "Come on this way Hiroseki said finding another bridge and stopping in front of it. "Hey another bridge." Toboe said. "Yeah but it will only hold the wait of one person at a time." Hiroseki said and looked up hearing a familiar howl. "Aniou-mama." Hiroseki said quietly. "I'll go first okay." Kiba said. "Alright be careful there's three wolves on the other side of the bridge two of them are my Aniou-mama and White Fang-papa I'm not sure who the third one is though." Hiroseki said looking down at the snow. "Don't worry about it Hiroseki meet you on the other side." Kiba said and stepped onto the bridge and started walking on it.

<<<Kiba's POV>>>

Hiroseki was right in saying that this bridge could only one person well I guess I wouldn't really be considered a person since I'm a wolf in human guise. I walk across one of the planks and my leg falls through. "Kiba!" I hear Hiroseki call out to me. "Don't worry I'm fine." I call back and pull my leg out and continue across the bridge until I'm on the other side where I am met by another white wolf and a blackish-gray wolf I'm assuming to be White Fang. I look over at the third wolf and my eyes go wide. "Kiba is it safe to come over?" I heard Hiroseki call to me. The white wolf howled and I'm guessing she was telling Hiroseki to come over. A dense fog had just settled over the bridge and I could sense Hiroseki was beginning to become frightened. "Kiba." she said her fear beginning to show in her voice "I'm here Hiroseki just keep walking towards my voice!" I shouted and stood at the edge of the bridge waiting for her. "Kiba I'm scared I can't see you." She said. "I'm here Hiroseki just keep walking don't stop walking until your in my arms." I said hearing Hiroseki's foot steps get closer. "Kiba there's a gap in the bridge." Hiroseki said. "Step over it that's where I fell." I said and heard Hiroseki's footsteps come closer as she emerged out of the fog and I brought her into my arms.

"Kiba." she said putting her arms around me and crying. "Shhh Hiroseki it's okay now I'm here, and your parents are to." I said looking back at the white and blackish-gray wolf. "Aniou-mama and White Fang-papa." she said quietly and I let go of her and she ran to them and hugged them both. "hey whoever's coming over next come on." I yelled and the others came over one by one. Toboe was the last one to cross and once he was across we all gathered around Hiroseki as she introduced us to her parents.

<<<Hiroseki's POV>>>

I'm so happy to be reunited with my Aniou-mama and White Fang-papa after I had introduced them to everyone we all just sat around for a while and talked. I don't think White Fang-papa like Kiba to much seeing as how he's growling at Kiba. Aniou-mama just lays in the snow watching along with the other female wolf. Kiba sighed and nodded at me and I smiled and hugged him and told him thank you. "Your welcome." Kiba said and we started off towards the city.

<<Normal POV>>

"hey do you think there's any food here?" Toboe asked. Aniou looked at Toboe and walked up a hot dog stand and grabbed a bag of them and gave them to Toboe. "wow thanks." Toboe said eating the hot dogs. "hey save us some." Hige said. "like you need them porky." Tsume said. "Now Tsume let's not fight." Hiroseki said walking up to a clothes stand and buying a new dress and a shirt and pants continued on with the others. so where are we going now Hiroseki? Aniou asked walking beside Hiroseki.

"To stock up on medical supplies that battle might have been a few months ago but Kiba is still healing and needs the medicine." she said as the small group stopped by a medicine shop and she walked in and came out a while later with a bag of supplies. "This should do it for now come on let's get out of this city its beginning to make me uneasy." she said walking towards the entrance with Kiba and the others as they left the town and headed in a different direction to find a place to sleep for the night.
