~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Prologue ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A lone, white wolf lay in the snow, his blood dying the frozen ground. His honey gold eyes were barely visible as he fought to keep them open. His blood trailed off into the abyss. His eyes shifted to the withered flower that lay next to him, its brown petals leaving no reminder of the beauty that once was.
Memories flashed before his eyes. Death, friends, betrayal.
He let sleep claim him, trying to escape the horror. The world waited until the wolf was in a deep sleep before beginning to remake itself. The snow under the wolf turned to an aqua blue liquid and dragged him under the surface. A creature swam up to the sleeping wolf. It moved forward and grasped his white head, cupping his cheeks. It was a woman. Her white hair flowed around her in a godly fashion and her equally white eyes stared at the face of the savior of the world. “Kiba, you have succeeded, but you are unhappy.” Her voice traveled through the water. “You have lost your friends, your family, your life. So many times you have set out on this journey, and each time, you loss all that holds any meaning to you.” She stroked his head. “You will set out again, but this time, you will meet help along the way. They will aid you in your travels, and one will take your heart.” The goddess released his head and light emitted from her hands and consumed Kiba. The memories of his friends and journey were taken out of his mind. Than the goddess let him sink to the bottom of the ocean, watching him fall until she could no longer see him, then turned and swam up. She broke the surface and hovered over the vast ocean. She flew over to the edge and starred at the field of white flowers. Lunar flowers. Each flower represented a life, human or animal. She smiled and once again held up her hands. Four Lunar flowers materialized between them, but they were not like the others. One had a red stem and the color traveled to pool around the base. Another had light blue petals. Another's petals were green at the base. And the last was pure white. The stem was a pearl white just as the petals were. She planted the four flowers and watched them sway along with the rest, then she called out to five other flowers. One turned and became like the red flowers, another the blue, another the green, but the last two had petals that were yellow and had a jagged stem, almost like a lightning bolt. She planted these along with the others and glided back out to the place where she had dropped Kiba. She spread her arms and brought them together, sending a shock wave through the cave. Everything turned white.
