Parts/Chapters: Prologue/?

Alone, that’s how Brian Kendrick’s felt since the woman, that he loved more than life, walked out on him. The only thing she left was a note that read “goodbye…I don’t love you anymore”. Those words have continuously haunted him since he found them on a sheet of loose notebook paper a few nights ago. The only thing that seems to help erase them was the Vodka that sailed down his throat into his stomach, which was suffering from lack of food. Suddenly Brian was startled by rings of his telephone. Slowly he urges himself off the floor and staggers over to answer.

“Hello?” he said in a semi-smashed tone.

“You sound like shit, Brian,” replied a familiar Canadian accent.

Brian sighs annoyingly as he immediately recognized the voice, which belonged to current WWE World Champion, Chris Jericho. “Tell me something that I don’t already know, Jericho.” For the past few months, Chris and Brian had grown to be close friends. It also helped that Brian looked up to Chris as a role model and lived by some of his quotes. Brian has even considered Chris as his mentor.

“I heard about you and Maryse from some of the guys in the locker room…”

Brian ran a shaky hand through his hair at the sound of his ex-girl’s name. He sniffed back a few tears. “She left me.”

“Oh… I’m so sorry, man. I really thought you and her were going to last for a long time. What happened?”

“I honestly have no clue. All I know is that she left me a note saying that she doesn’t love me anymore. I’m confused as hell because we weren’t together that long. Not long enough for her to leave me a note like that. So I’m assuming she left me to be with another man.”

“Maybe you should talk to her,” Chris suggested.

“I could do that. Maybe I will…look, Chris, I should go get showered up and try to get some rest… I reek of alcohol and my eyes hurt from not sleeping.”

“Yeah you do that. Take care, Brian and don’t let Maryse bother you too much. Remember it‘s her lost.”

“Thank you, Chris…”

Chris smirked as he hangs up the phone in time for a knock to come at his door. He brushed a hand through his short hair, unbuttons the top button of his black shirt before standing. He walks over and pulls back the entrance. He smiles brightly as his eyes scan the individual from head to toe.

“Well...don’t you look stunning.”

Maryse blushed at Chris’ words, she responds with a strong French accent. “Thank you, Chris.” A smile eased across her face as she stepped forward and plants a kiss onto Chris’ thin lips. Delicately, she moans as her tongue grazed against the blond man’s. Slightly Maryse pulls away and asked, “Brian doesn’t know about us?”

Chris shakes his head as a few fingers slither through Maryse’s long blonde hair. He observed as she closed her eyes before answering, “No and he never will.”

“Good lets keep it that way.”
