Chapters/Parts: 1/?
Working at a strip joint for the rest of her life wasn’t what 23 year old, Eternity Davis had in mind. For 2 years, she has been employed by a renown nightclub called “The Black Stallion”. Even though it made good money, Eternity had promised herself that someday she’d get out of the stripping business and get married to the man of her dreams.
The young African American woman sighs as she removes a hair pin from her long dark, wavy mane. She watched through the mirror as strands fall around her face before removing herself from her dressing chair to walk over to the rack of skimpy clothes. Each weekend night was always the same routine at “The Black Stallion”. Dancers would come through the back door of the club, go to their dressing rooms and prepare for a night of dancing in front of intoxicated strangers.
Eternity carefully went through the clothing before selecting a black halter top, matching thong, black stockings and a short skirt that would go to the top of her thighs. As she was getting dressed, a mellow knock came to the door.
“Eternity?” a voice asked
“Yes?,” Eternity called out. The woman turned to stare at the door as she placed one bra strap onto her left shoulder.
“You’re up in a few.”
She let out a disappointed moan hoping the manager would have told her to forget it, go home and come again next weekend. Sadly, she doesn’t see that happening ever. Eternity was one of the club’s best performers and the male clients loved her. There was no way the club owner would ever let her walk.
--------------
At the sound of sassy, hip-hop music blaring through the tavern’s speakers, it was Eternity’s cue to enter through the curtains and shake her thing down the stripper’s runaway. Grabbing on to the long, slender pole when near enough and twirling a few times. She made sure to make eye contact with every single man that cheered, screamed and held up dollar bills for her to take.
In seconds, Eternity removed her top, tossing it quickly toward the crowd and placing her hands over her plumped breasts as she continued to sway her hips seductively.
While the other men in the bar applauded every move this woman made. One man with short blond hair dressed in jeans and a dark green t-shirt was in utter awe. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever laid his eyes on and he wanted to learn more about her.
Eternity glanced over from where she was dancing down into the blue eyes of the Caucasian stranger. She smiles before tossing him the inadequate skirt that she once wore on her bottom.
The blond gladly catches the article of clothing and brings it to his nose to breathe in the softness of her elaborate perfume. At that moment, he was hooked and whenever the show was over, he had to meet her.
--------------
When Eternity was finished entertaining, she made her way back through the curtains and taking a robe from one of the managers to place over her semi-nude body. After tying the strings to make sure the negligee stayed in position, she walked down the hall toward her dressing room. Stopping as her eyes came in contact with the same blond man that caught her skirt earlier.
Eternity bit her bottom lip nervously before speaking, “Um… excuse me?”
The blond man turned fully at the sound of her voice and when she finally got a glimpse of him without the show lights causing glare. Eternity could feel her heart inwardly faint.
This man was absolutely gorgeous. Not like the common bums that usually came to see her backstage after a night of disrobing.
“I’m sorry. I don’t mean to bother you. I-I just had to see you,” he responds in a soft tone.
Eternity smiles at that and nods, “It’s okay… so hope my presentation wasn’t too shitty.”
The man slightly laughs, “No.. it was perfect. Well at least I thought so… I can’t speak for the other men.”
She smirks, “What is a man like you doing in a joint like this, huh? Your wife must be wondering where you are…”
He interrupts, “I’m not married. Anyways, I was bored and had nothing better to do. So I figured, I’d check out the local strip joints and pick up dates.” He grins innocently. Hopefully this woman didn’t believe that bullshit. A lot of people aren’t too keen to his sense of humor.
Eternity amusingly sighs and holds out her hand, “Well before we continue this conversation. We should introduce ourselves. I’m Eternity Davis.”
The blond willingly connects his hand with hers. “Chris Irvine.”
“I’ve never seen you around here before, Chris. Are you new in town?”
Chris shakes his head, “Actually, I’m passing through. The hotel that I’m staying at isn’t far from here.”
Eternity raised an eyebrow in interest and asked, “Passing through?”
“Yeah. I’m a rock star. I have my own band and everything,” Chris explains.
“Ah… Mr. Big Time Celebrity, huh?”
The blond chuckles, “You could say that. Surprised you’ve never heard of me.”
Eternity sighs before glancing down at the floor below. “I don’t have time to keep up with who is famous or not anymore. My whole life has been dedicated to dancing.” Tears gradually came to her eyes and she adds, “I want a chance to live a normal life without strip clubs being apart of it. I never wanted this job.”
Chris listens for a minute, hesitantly he questions, “Than why are you here?”
The young brunette shifted her attention from the ground to stare into the blue eyes of the blond guest. She didn’t bother to wipe at the teardrops that continue to fall. “I had to make a living somehow. I dropped out of school too young. I don’t have a GED or high school diploma. And dancing… you don’t need an education for that. As long as you have big boobs and know how to shake your milk maker than you’ve got it made.”
Chris stayed silent for a moment before raising a hand to gently wash away the droplets that rest on the woman’s cheek. “If there’s anything I could do…”
Eternity shook her head slightly, “There’s not… the managers won’t let me leave anyways. I’m too distinguished here. I bring in the dough. As long as that is happening. I don’t see myself getting out of this web. I’m stuck.”
From the sounds of this woman’s words, Chris could tell that she was in tons of pain. The blond went into thought, speculating on how he could help get Eternity out of this strip joint. Sadly, he couldn’t think of anything at the moment. Instead in uncertainty he queries, “I know we just met, but would you like to go grab a bite to eat? We can finished our conversation. That’s only if you want, Eternity.”
At first Eternity wasn’t going to accept his proposal, but she couldn’t stand being cooped up in “The Black Stallion” any longer. She nods, “I’d love that. Give me a few to change and I’ll meet you out back. Okay?”
Chris smiles, “Okay. I’ll be waiting.”
Eternity smiled back at the blond man before walking into the dressing room and closing the door behind her for privacy. She pressed her back against the closed door and sighs happily. She might have just found her way out of this business. Chris was so charming, not like any other man that Eternity’s met in the past. She definitely wanted a chance to get to know him more better.
