Chapters/Parts: 11/?
Monique turned her head as creak of an opening door echoes throughout the house. A smirk wasn’t reluctant to make its way across the redhead’s lips at the sudden appearance of Eternity Davis.
“Ah, just the woman I’ve been looking for,” said Monique as she moves closer to her former employee.
Eternity didn’t hesitate to respond, “What are you doing here? I thought you and Abby hated each other.”
Guiltily Abby sighs, “I’m sorry, Eternity. I haven’t been a good friend. I… I betrayed you. After my conversation with you over the phone, I contacted Monique. I was desperate and wanted my job back at “The Black Stallion”. So I made an agreement with Monique. I promised her that I’d help her with you and Chris if only she’d rehire me.”
Eternity scowls in disbelief as she listens to the Asian woman’s explanation. How could
Abby do this to her? She was the only person in the whole entire strip club that she trusted. Now all that was thrown out the window. Without words, Eternity turns away from Abby and crosses her arms in exasperation.
Tears fill Abby’s auburn eyes and she articulates softly, “I’m so sorry, Eternity. I never wanted to hurt you and I can’t blame you for being furious with me. I just hope someday you’ll be able to forgive me. Please. I can’t lose your friendship. You’re too important to me.”
Monique sarcastically laughs, “Aw… this almost brings a tear to my eye.”
“Shut up, Monique! Just shut the fuck up!” Eternity unexpectedly shouts. She calms down, turns to confront the green-eyed woman and adds, “I’ve had it with you! Why can’t you leave me alone?”
Monique steps adjacent to Eternity, she raises a selfish hand to run through the dark woman’s hair and than suddenly grabbing a fist full. She growls above a whisper, “I own you. You’re mine… you always have been.”
Eternity pushes her former boss away and shakes her head. She defends, “No. I belong to Chris, Monique. My heart belongs to him. I was never yours to control. Never.”
At the sound of those words, Monique grimaced, “We’ll see about that…”
Monique shoves Eternity out of the way and storms into the bedroom. The woman scans the room until they land on Chris. She doesn’t hesitate to stroll over toward the blond. She stands directly in front of him and stares dead into his blue eyes. She hisses, “I hate you… you’ve ruined everything! Why don’t you crawl back under the rock you came from?”
Chris laughs, “Do I detect jealousy, Monique?”
Monique counters with a laugh of her own. She smirks, “Me… jealous of you? Never. I’m better than you’ll ever be and it’s only a matter of time ‘til Eternity opens her eyes and realizes that. You won’t be able to provide the kind of life that I could offer her.”
“Please… your kind of life involves “The Black Stallion”. Eternity wants no part of that anymore. Unlike you and that distorted place, I provide her with happiness,” Chris defends.
At the sound of Chris’ words, Monique doesn’t abate to raise her hand to slap him, but fortunately he grabs her forearm before she could succeed. The redhead growls and unexpectedly spits in his face instead. She refuses to be defeated especially by the likes of Chris Irvine.
Chris lifts his free hand to wipe the disgusting ooze off his face and than roughly he shoves Monique onto the bed. He glares down at her and demands, “Leave Eternity alone! She wants nothing to do with you or “The Black Stallion”! Why can’t you understand that?”
“Sonofabitch!” Monique curses. Quickly she stands to her feet and shouts, “How dare you place your abhorrent hands on me! As for Eternity, I won’t leave her be until she’s away from you. Now! I order you and her to annul your marriage at once so she can return to “The Black Stallion” or else…”
“Or else what?” Chris interrupts as he rolls his eyes.
“You’ll feel the wrath of Monique Truman. Trust me, I can cause a lot of pain and destruction,” Monique threatens.
“Heh, I’m not scared. So much for trying to intimidate me.”
The redhead observes as Chris turns away. After a moment she whispers, “You should be, Chris. I’ve already caused damage. I’m the one who burned down your precious house.”
Those words immediately made Chris rotate sharply to stare a hole right through Monique, anger surging from his eyes.
The redhead steps closer to the blond and articulates above a malicious murmur, “It’s a shame that you escaped the house alive.”
Unfortunately for Monique, Eternity overheard every single word that came from the bitch’s mouth as she was standing behind her. She taps her former boss lady on the shoulder and waits for her to turn. When she finally does, the russet woman didn’t hesitate to punch her right between the eyes. Pompously she smirks and observed as the green-eyed witch fell to the floor.
Abby couldn’t help but laugh, “Way to go, Eternity. Monique had it coming.”
Eternity fiercely stares downward at the cataleptic woman. How she ever got mixed up with Monique, she’ll never know. Now, Eternity wished she had never met her. Her life would definitely be a lot better.
The russet woman rotates to focus her attention on Abby. Unexpectedly she asked, “How could you, Abby? How could you help her locate Chris and me? I can’t believe you’d do that to me.”
Abby frowns at Eternity’s words and declares, “I told you that I was sorry. I had no idea that hurting Chris was Monique’s motive. You have to believe me…”
“I’m not sure if I can. You’ve lost my trust the minute you admitted to assisting Monique, and for what, to be apart of that hellhole once again? She fired you once. What makes you think she wouldn’t do it again?”
The Asian woman hesitates some before strolling close to Eternity. Abby elevates her hand to rest against the dark woman’s cheek as she glares into her chocolate eyes. She whispers, “How can I make it up to you?”
Eternity removes Abby’s hand and steps back from her. She shakes her head and unfortunately responds, “You can’t.”
Chris watches the scene between the Oriental woman and Eternity before adding, “After everything that we did together, this is how you repay us, Abby?”
Abby lowers her head at the ricochet of Chris’ words. Melodiously she counters, “I said that I was sorry.”
“It doesn’t matter. We’re leaving anyways,” Eternity inserts.
“No!” Abby suddenly bellows. She looks from the russet woman to Chris and begs, “Please don’t leave. You promise that you’d stay. Isn’t there a way that you can forgive me?”
“How can you expect Chris and me to stay after you deceived us?” Eternity asked in confusion.
While Eternity was busy confronting Abby, Monique was unpredictably rousing on the floor below. She lifts her head slightly to glare at the back of Chris and than over at her former employees. She goes into her bra and tugs out a small handgun, which held one bullet. Without warning, she aims the gun at Eternity and pulls the trigger.
