Jean & Scott
She had been turned down in both houses. They wanted to keep their children close and she didn't blame them really. She got a call to go back to the states there was a famous young lady that just came into her powers.
Alanna Mairen was the name on her phone. Jean smiled as she wandered through the streets looking for the small apartment. Charles had called ahead and both Alanna and her mother were eager to meet with her.
She turned and saw Mystique smiling at her from the corner. Jean tried to get a better look but the woman was gone. She hurried up to the address and rang the bell. A tall blonde woman answered the door. She was a bohemian kind of woman.
"You must be Jean. Please come in. Alanna is so nervous and stir crazy. The camera follow her every time she leaves the house." Anabelle said with a smile.
Alanna was petite with long coppery red hair and light jade green. Her face was cute and pixie like with an air of mischief.
"Cool another ginger!" she exclaimed with a laugh. Jean couldn't help but smile. She settled onto the sofa.
"So what is your power?"
"Mama?" Alanna said Anabelle began to pull the shades and turn of the lights. Alanna shone literally in the dark. Her skin held a golden light. She seemed embrassed and it got brighter.
"That is very pretty. I am here to offer you a scholarship to a school for children like you that have gifts."
"Do you?" Alanna asked.
Jean smiled and the keys on the table began to float. Alanna's eyes grew huge. That was so much cooler than her ability.
"Mama...I want to go but..."
"Sweet one it is fine. Why don't you go start packing and Jean and I will talk some more. I want youto do this."
Alanna jumped up and ran into room.

Scott was in Louisana but at least after this he was meeting Jean in Pennsylvania and then it was home to the institute for the new school year after some summer training. He entered the police department and was led to the basement.
They were young very young. The girl looked only 12 long white hair and gun metal grey eyes. She was curled up against a ordinary boy with long brown hair. But his eyes golden shot through with deep red. Both looked at him.
"If you didn't take them off our hands there was talk of making them disappear altogether. The girl is on Corinne Lafeyette aka Voodoo. 15 years old. She was taking over people's minds and making them do whatever she wanted. One man tried to rape her and she made rats eat him alive. The boy is Malachai Horowitz aka Shadow, age 16, he can walk through shadows as best we can tell."
"That is why it is so bright in here?"
"No shadow big enough for them to walk through."
Scott called the professer needing him to help him with these to voltile mutants.
The room started to shake. Scott stiffened as the metal door ripped off it's hinges. He turned and back away from Magneto.
"I was hoping to find you two talented children still here. Mr. Summers I trust you won't make a fuss?" He said with a chilling smile. Scott shook his head and pulled the officer out of the room. He led the two young mutants out of the room.
"Professor?"
"Yes Scott I am getting ready to leave now. I am bringing Hank with me."
"Don't bother. Magneto himself just walked out with the pair of them I think the brotherhood just got two very strong additions."
"Are you hurt?"
"No I didn't engage I am sorry."
"Don't be. Head to the next stop and I will see you when you get here."
Scott hugged Jean tightly. It had been weeks since he had seen her.
"Hiya!" a bright cheeky voice said from behind his girlfriend. The grinning freckled face seemed to glow.
"Scott this is Alanna. She is coming to the Acedemy."
They with a concerned family with a middle daughter coming into her powers. She could change her coloring at will and make optical illusions. After an intensive interview they agreed it would be for the best to send her to the Acedemy.
Mayra frowned as she packed her bags. Her parents were relieved she was going.
