Crawford sighed and raked his hands through his hair in a gesture of frustration. The negotiations were going absolutely nowhere. Added to the fact that he didn't think the man sitting across the table from him was letting him out of the room until they had come to an agreement. Bastard, Crawford thought. But he is really nice eye candy. Now where the hell had that come from?

Tatsumi watched the other man take off his jacket and prepare to dig in for a long fight. Damn it, why couldn't anything in his afterlife be easy? And why did he suddenly notice that what he had taken for shoulder padding in the other man's suit jacket wasn't? He sighed and rubbed his temples to try easing the ache that had settled there. The last thing in the Universe he needed was to be attracted to the man across from him.

Schuldig grinned a little as he watched the obvious signs of interest in Crawford toward the other man. Even though he couldn't quite break through those iron clad shields of his Schuldig could usually tell when the leader of Schwarz was interested in someone beyond the usual “where does this fit into my plan for world dominance” bit. This could be very entertaining. There was definitely a mutual attraction going on between the two of them, Schuldig could sense that even through the barrier. He turned his head when Watari suddenly laughed, he'd almost forgotten the other man was there.

“What?” Schuldig asked, mildly annoyed that he couldn't read the other man very easily.

“I just had a highly disturbing thought cross my mind.”

“Which is?”

Watari's eyes crinkled at the corners as he grinned. “I wonder which one of them will top.”

“Damn I want video tape of that debate,” Schuldig said, doubling over laughing. His cell phone beeped and informed him that he had one missed text message. He straightened up and punched in the right code to get the message from Nagi. He stared at the message for close to a full minute. “Oh, hell's bells. This could either put the fun on hiatus indefinitely or kick it into overdrive.”

“What is it?” Watari asked, looking interestedly at the text message Schuldig showed him.

“Soul go bye-bye.”

Watari sighed. “Tatsumi will go nuclear.”

“So will Crawford.”
