Chapter Six: Chess Match:
Tsuzuki wanted to finish this in three days. Hisoka looked at him
funny.
“Why three days?” he asked.
“The less Anna knows the better,” Tsuzuki said.
“I can't tell you why.” His partner narrowed his
eyes.
“And why are you keeping this from her?” he asked.
Tsuzuki froze. Why was this a secret? Anna would've supported this.
Not like she would object. He rubbed the back of his head and
nervously laughed.
“Tsuzuki!” Hisoka shouted.
“Sorry,” the older shinigami said. His partner
frowned.
“What?” Tsuzuki asked. Hisoka shook his head.
“Call her up,” he said.
“Hisoka!”
“I don't want to hear it!”
Tsuzuki pouted as Hisoka glared at him. The older shinigami
sighed.
“Fine, I'll call her,” he said. He pulled out his cell
phone. Hisoka stood watching with judgmental eyes. Tsuzuki
nervously chuckled as the other line rang.
“Hello?” Anna asked on the other line.
“Anna-chan!” Tsuzuki said. “Hey! How are you
doing?”
“You just saw this morning, dear,” she said.
“Did I? Oh, yes I did!” He burst out laughing.
“Is something wrong?” Anna asked. Her husband
froze.
“Uh… Well…” He looked over at Hisoka. His
partner judged him with his eyes.
“Asato-kun?” Anna asked.
“Listen,” Tsuzuki said. “Hisoka and I will be on
a case for three days. It's about your uncle.” Silence on the
other line.
“Okay…” Anna said. Tsuzuki breathed.
“We won't be in touch through those days. It will be
dangerous.”
“Sure…”
“Are you understand this?”
“Yes. Do what you need to do.”
Her husband closed his eyes. “Thanks. I love you.”
“I love you too, Asato-kun.” They blew kisses to each
other before hanging up. Tsuzuki turned to Hisoka.
“How was that?” he asked. Hisoka nodded.
“Good,” he said. Tsuzuki breathed out.

Yasuo sat in the dark with his phone. The shinigami had to go. He
ruined everything. He brought Anna back from the dead. Thanks to
him the family was dying.
Yasuo gritted his teeth. This will not do. He had to go. That
shinigami had to go!
Yasuo pulled out his phone. Yes! This would do perfectly. His
fingers got right to typing. The characters filled the screen.
Yes, he thought. Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! He didn't spell
check the message. Yasuo hit send and smirked. A high gaze filled
his eyes.
---------
Tsuzuki and Hisoka sat at their desks.
“So how are we going to find Yasuo-san?” the younger
shinigami asked. His partner was about to speak when his phone
buzzed.
“Hang on,” Tsuzuki said. He pulled out his phone. A
confused look came over his face.
“What the hell is this?” he asked.
“Hm?” Hisoka asked. He looked at his partner's phone.
Both tried to read the text.
“It looks like a meeting place,” Hisoka said. Tsuzuki
scrolled through the numerous misspellings and typos.
“It says that we are to meet near Tokyo Tower,” he
said. He turned to his partner.
“It could be a trap,” the younger shinigami said.
Tsuzuki turned off the screen.
“I say we go there,” he said. Hisoka glanced up at
him.
“Tsuzuki,” he said. His partner broke into a little
smile.
“Or, we can turn the trap on him,” he said.
“Huh?” Hisoka asked. The older shinigami winked.
