Amethyst Remembrance (Side story)
Written by Azzie @ Alienna Azuani @ Yami Azzie
Well, well.... I had time to ponder on a side story for this. But before I begin... (Shouts of 'Muraki... Muraki!!' was heard...) ehem..!! Lets hear this part of the story hours before the incident, ne!!
~Side Story Part 1~ Suzaku and Tohda
Today was a special day for her. A day that she would never forget. And realizing that Tsuzuki was feeling down ever since the Kyoto incident made her more determined to make this the best that she had done. But her problem now, is that....

Suzaku was frantically looking around the palace for someone to help her (Suzaku: Man.... almost everyone is busy!!) when she thought of someone that could. She sighed heavily at the thought of asking that person to help her as she rushed towards the commonest place that he could be found.
Tohda had nothing to do. (as like always the case) Other than those times when his skills with the computer were needed, he had done nor given any work around GensouKai. (Even Suzaku hadn't come to attack him today!! Geez...) Not like he felt bad about it. He understood that with his powers, giving him work on anything that needed the use of magical powers are hazardous. Not like he wanted to get the same situation as Tsuzuki that is. Tohda sighed as he lie on the tree branch, enjoying the relaxed feeling and the careless environment. He didn't even sense the coming of another aura heading towards him.
The tree shook hard, surprising poor Tohda badly. And before he could think of anything; another bout of attack hit the tree, sending him toppling down and crashed onto the ground. Tohda massaged his aching head as he looked up towards his attacker. To his surprise, Suzaku was bowing towards him and smiling!! (Tohda: I know you guys would say that this is cute of her but she never smiles at me!!)
'Tohda...', said Suzaku almost too gently as she cupped Tohda's face with both hands. Tohda's heart beat faster as he wondered about what was Suzaku's attention today. 'You had nothing to do..... riiiiiiiiiiight? (Tohda: *sweatdropped*) You'd be perfect to help me out!!!', said Suzaku almost too cheerfully as she dragged the dazed shikigami away. Tohda blushed, embarassed. (az: Oooh... I don't know that he could blush!!) He wasn't even able to mutter his surprise as he was swept off his feet.
**
'Okay... put that here and, ah!! I'll do that... don't worry...', said Suzaku as she dashed to get the dishes ready. Tohda sighed as he neatly placed the tables and chairs around the hall. He smiled to himself as he recollected her words to him hours before...
--
'And why again must I help you with this? It's not just because I'm the only other one here who was free, is it?'
'Sheesh... must I tell you again?! This is all for Tsuzuki-chan's sake!! I know you seldom concern yourself with these things, but certainly you want him to cheer up after all that has happened to him? Make him happy...? So, just help me out, can you?'
'Make Tsuzuki happy?! I can do that?', said Tohda, unsure as Suzaku came to him and punched his nose for being silly.
'Of course you can!! Now I take back what I've said to you before... it's not like you have no heart, you have no BRAINS!! Can't you think for yourself? You are not a puppet, you know? Aaaargh....... just follow me and help what you can..!!', cried Suzaku as Tohda wiped away the blood on his face.
--
Tohda shrugged to himself as he pondered about Suzaku's attitude towards him. Females are certainly strange. I know that both of us are not that nice to each other but... One minute she hates me so badly, another she was this nice. I can't understand her... How difficult can it be..?
'Tohda...?'
The shikigami startled himself as he darted towards Suzaku. 'Can you give me a lift?', said Suzaku as she was holding some kind of banner on her arm. Tohda gave her a strange look as he did as told. The banner was up and ready after a few minutes of him carrying Suzaku on his back. Suzaku sighed in pride at her work in decorating the hall.
'Now, everything is ready. The food, the hall... all it needs now is that cute-fluffy-child-that-I-want-to-cuddle-so-much to come here...', gasped Suzaku as she made Tohda's head as substitute for Tsuzuki.
'So now... can you get off me?! You're heavy...', cried Tohda as Suzaku stopped cuddling his head and placed her arm around his neck. 'That was very harsh of you to say things like that!! But, you know... I never realized it. You are cute too...! Of course, if only we could fix that stupid attitude of yours...', she said as she jumped off Tohda's back. Tohda looked at her in confusion. 'Wha... what do you mean?!', cried Tohda in panic as he received an unexpected kiss on the cheek by Suzaku. His eyes widen in surprise as Suzaku returned to her normal attitude.
'Now, now... let's not get tardy!! Tohda, you go around and gather everyone here in the hall!! After that, go wait at the gate for Tsuzuki so that that poor little one won't get lost again!! That child... hai, I wonder what will happen if I'm not around to watch over him...', mused Suzaku as she walked away muttering if all the food she prepared was enough. (Suzaku: Tsuzuki was a big eater for one...) Tohda looked at her for a few minutes in silence as he walked away to do the things she ordered him to do. Really... females are hard to understand..., mused Tohda silently.

~Side story part 2~ Muraki... oh Muraki... (Hehe.... you were waiting for this ditcha?!)
Tsuzuki walked home happily as the his second birthday party ended beautifully. He looked at the basket that he was holding, where he stashed all the presents his co-workers gave him. 'Honestly... this is too much!!', he chuckled. 'A birthday party was okay by me... but also giving me presents?! I felt like a child... Nee-chan, Byakko and all was fine. But Wakaba-chan and Tatsumi... they shouldn't have...'
Tsuzuki grinned as he skipped towards the direction of his apartment.
'You seemed happy today... did something happen that you were happy about? Tsuzuki-san....?'
Tsuzuki froze as he recognize the voice, no matter how long... or months is it that he last heard that voice. The basket that he was holding dropped to the ground as he swerved around in panic to find Muraki standing not far from him, holding one of his dolls and a bouquet of roses in his hand. His heart almost stopped as he saw him, the fear and guilt he felt not long ago in the Castle of Candles lingered still in his memories. Muraki stepped closer as he retreated away, the dark fear grew enormous in his heart.
'This... can't be!! This is Meifu.. you can't possibly... This is not you... this is just a figment of my imagination!!', cried Tsuzuki as he clutched his head in fear. Muraki frowned as he walked faster to catch up with Tsuzuki. 'How can you say like that..? (Muraki: You cutie... still thinking of me as a normal person, eh?) I've been missing you dreadfully... I wondered if you were alright...', he said as he extended his hand to touch him. Tsuzuki trembled in fear as he hit a tree from behind. He stuttered in fear as Muraki loomed near...
'Don't... don't come closer!! I... aaaaah!!'
Tsuzuki fainted immediately as Muraki's hand touched him. Muraki's eyes widen at this turn of events as he gently lifted Tsuzuki up. He went back to take the basket that was left out as he gasped at the content. 'Presents...? Was today a special day for Tsuzuki?!', he wondered as he picked it up while still holding Tsuzuki in his arms. 'So... what should I do now? Tsuzuki's place shouldn't be too far, ne?', he mused as he walked towards the nearest building, which coincidentally was Tsuzuki's apartment building. He rang the door bell as an elderly man opened the door.
'What the.. can I do something for you? Aah... it's Tsuzuki-kun!!', gasped the old man. Muraki cried in surprise. 'You know him?', he said as the old man nodded. 'Of course, I'm his landlord!! Come with me... let me show you his apartment. Where did you find him..?'
'Tsuzuki-san fainted on the way here... and I happened to come by...', lied Muraki as the landlord nodded at him. (Muraki: Yeah, right... like I can tell him that Tsuzuki thought I was a ghost and fainted when he saw me and I had to carry him back here...*rolls eyes* Oh, riiiight.... You're kidding me!!!) He opened Tsuzuki's apartment door and gave the keys to Muraki. 'I'll leave him to you now... you can go home anytime after that. Thanks for bringing him home...', said the landlord again as he left. Muraki bowed as he closed the door behind him.
Muraki looked around the room in amusement for this is the first time that he came to Tsuzuki's home. (Muraki: Yea.... lucky me!! *smiles*) He gradually found the bedroom and placed Tsuzuki on the bed. The basket, he placed alongside another pile of presents at the corner of the room. He smiled eerily. 'Was today your birthday, my beloved?! How lucky am I to come visiting on this joyous day!!', he said as he bowed over Tsuzuki's sleeping form. 'So then, happy birthday my love...', he whispered as he kissed Tsuzuki's lips.
Immediately, Tsuzuki's eyes shot open as he pushed Muraki away in haste. He sat up as he wiped his mouth with his free hand. 'You... you kissed me!! I hate you...!!', cried Tsuzuki as Muraki gave him a hurt look. 'But why... Tsuzuki-san!! I've kissed you a lot of times before...!! Don't you remember...? All those times in Kyoto? But of course, you didn't remember...', sighed Muraki dramatically as Tsuzuki's face flushed. 'You... you... aaa, it's so hot!!', cried Tsuzuki as he loosen a button of his shirt. 'I'm going to change my clothes. Don't you try to have peek on me, Muraki!!', he said at last as he darted away, out of the room to change into his T-shirt and shorts. He immediately returned to send Muraki out of his house...!
'Muraki... get out!!', cried Tsuzuki in vain as Muraki pulled him back towards the bed with a powerful haul. He placed his arms around Tsuzuki as to prevent him from escaping. Tsuzuki's face flushed. 'No... please no!!', he plead as he noticed that Muraki has both arm still intact. Forgetting his situation at present, he held Muraki's shoulders with both his hands. 'You... your arm was not severed...', he trailed off as Muraki grinned. 'No... I hadn't. Don't know you cared...', whispered Muraki as his left hand trailed over Tsuzuki's hip and fondled over his skin. '..I had a vision of you at the Castle of Candles... I thought that was really you...', he gasped as he laid still, mesmerized by Muraki's eyes and his soft touch. 'Really...? So, you know now that this is the real me... Or do you want me to convince you more..?', he said as his hand slid into Tsuzuki's shorts and caressed his thighs. The tingling sensation brought him back to reality.
'Aah... NO!!', cried Tsuzuki again as he tried to push Muraki away from on top of him. But the effort was in vain as Muraki used both his arm to pin him onto the bed. 'Noooo...!!', he gasped again as he felt Muraki's breath on the side of his neck. He closed his eyes as Muraki started kissing and licking his neck in an upward motion. Yet, he couldn't suppress the moan coming from himself as the gesture gave him pleasure. He opened his eyes again as he fought to remain calm.
'Please... Muraki. Enough... I can't... you...', he panted as Muraki ignored him and pressed his lips against his own. Instantly, all the strength in him melted as Muraki's tongue explored Tsuzuki's mouth. The doctor relentlessly ravished his mouth and pausing in between to give themselves a little breather. Tsuzuki cried non-stop as Muraki continued molesting him. Eventually, Muraki stopped as his cries became too unbearable. 'Aii... can't you stop crying now?', he said, annoyed as Tsuzuki tried to stop crying, causing him to end up in a muffled sobs. 'I... hate you! You always do this... even tonight! And it was my birthday too... you ruined it!!', cried Tsuzuki as he sat up on the bed. 'Oh... I'm sorry then...', said Muraki in a hurt tone as he wiped away Tsuzuki's tears. 'Okay... I'll leave, if that's what you wanted...', he said as Tsuzuki suddenly felt a pang of dread for making Muraki go away, leaving him alone.., in this dark room...
'Wait...!', he suddenly cried out, just as Muraki started to walk away. Tsuzuki grabbed the tail of Muraki's coat in his desperate attempt to stop him. Muraki turned around in amusement. 'Please... don't leave me alone... today...', gasped Tsuzuki in panic as the anxiety in him grew to become too overwhelming. Muraki sat again on the bed as he registered his surprise at this sudden change. Tsuzuki hesitated awhile before lunging forward to hug Muraki, catching the doctor unaware. Muraki gasped as Tsuzuki's embrace tighten.
'Don't leave me alone...! Please... I'm scared to be alone!! I don't want... It's so dark...', whispered Tsuzuki as Muraki happily obliged to this request. Tsuzuki-san... this is the first time... So, you felt the same loneliness that I felt too, isn't it? And ironically, now you seek my presence whom you claimed to hate just now? Is this fate...? You belonged to me... you know that... You can't run from me...
Tsuzuki's muffled sobs was heard as he buried his face onto Muraki's chest. 'Just... don't you dare do anything perverted...', he said as Muraki continued caressing Tsuzuki. The doctor smiled victoriously. I have you now... willing in my arms!! Aaa... Tsuzuki-san, you don't know how happy you made me tonight..., thought Muraki in delight.
'I've lost my sister... and family... during nights like this... And still...'
Tsuzuki's body shook in fear as Muraki held him very close. (az: Ai... Tsuzuki!! Did you forget who're you holding?! It's not Tatsumi!!!) 'It's alright... the darkness won't hurt you...', said Muraki as Tsuzuki shook his head. 'I felt... like it will swallow me into nothingness!! Like what happened to Ruka...!!', he gasped as Muraki hushed him down. So, you felt the same too? That sheer darkness that threatens to shut yourself into the state of nothingness... leaving you at the edge of insanity? Haa... I told you we're very much alike! But as long as I have you... my beloved, I know I can keep at least a part of me still sane...
'Can you... cease killing innocent lives because of me...? It hurts... it really does...', gasped Tsuzuki again as he fell into a troubled sleep. Muraki looked at him, puzzled. Yes... it hurts, isn't it? So maybe I will... since you asked me like this..., thought Muraki as he glanced at his watch. 'Aah... it's already so late...', he sighed as he slowly placed Tsuzuki's head on the pillow again. Tsuzuki didn't stirred but he seemed reluctant to be released as he looked almost about to cry. A glimmer of red shone suddenly, causing him to pause.
A golden necklace with a small ruby locket that shone like living fire adorned Tsuzuki's pale neck. Ah... well, Muraki for one won't know this at the time but this was Suzaku's birthday present for Suzuki. It was something to remind him that he was not alone. (But, I guess in his fear... he forgot that, ne?) That at least his 'Nee-chan' was with him. (Muraki: Tsuzuki looked so beautiful with that!!) Muraki smiled as he recollected his things and placed the roses at the side of the bed. He gently placed his doll in Tsuzuki's embrace and pulled up the blanket on him.
'Now you won't be alone, ne? And since it's your birthday, I give her to you... Her face had cracked a little but she's okay. Let Lady Veronica keep you company... 'k?', said Muraki as he kissed Tsuzuki's cheek. 'Sleep tight... I'll see you another time... Happy birthday again, my beloved...', he whispered as he slowly vanished in a gush of white feathers.
Oblivious to him, Tsuzuki sighed in content as he held Lady Veronica tightly, close to his heart...
