DemonGirl-Setsuna: Hi there! Setsuna here!
I can't remember why this story idea came to me…
Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I've watched the series at least 20 times in Japanese…
Or maybe the fact that Tsuzuki with wings; from the Devil's Trill arc, and Hisoka with wings; random manga picture I have, looked sexy!
Or, it could have something to do with the random songs on my MP3-player; listened to repeatedly, anime-music videos; I've watched, and the fact that I have one hell of a crazy imagination!
Anyway…
Here is Chapter 1!
Please Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I don't own Descendants of Darkness/Yami no Matsuei or anything belonging to Yoko Matsushita.
-------------------------------------------------------------
A lone figure of a young male stands in a spring of water up to his waist, he had his face raised up with his eyes closed towards the beam of sunlight streaming in on him through a hole in the rocky-ceiling as if trying to gather energy from the light, his light golden-brown hair sparkling when the light hit the droplets of water clinging to the strands. Pale ivory skin barely touched by the sun's warm tightly followed the contours of the lean-muscles giving his body a thin and frail appearance, even as he stretches his arms above his head and two large white-feathered wings unfold from his back, straining as they too stretch.
“Hisoka-sama…”, a female voice says from behind him.
“Yes Miya?”, the young man asks, opening his eyes and looks over his shoulder at her with piercing emerald-green eyes.
The young woman; Miya, was a petit female appearing to be in her late teens with shoulder-length brown hair and sky-blue eyes, “Lord Enma and your father; General Kurosaki, have requested your presence, Hisoka-sama”, she replies, bowing as she remained in her kneeling position.
Hisoka woefully looks down at his reflection in the water, “I see… Tell them I'll be there in a moment…”, he instructs.
“As you wish, Hisoka-sama…”, she bows a final time before raising to her feet spreading her wings and flies off.
“Just as I was beginning to enjoy my bath…”, he regretfully mutters, walking towards the shore of the spring and picks up his neatly folded clothes from where he had left them.
He pulls on his white loose-fitting pants, being carefully not to get dirt from the cave-floor onto them and then slips on his white long-sleeved Chinese-style tunic that reached his knees, the final piece of his outfit was the slip-on flats that all angels were required to wear; the male style of the shoes were completely parallel with the ground while the female style had a slight-heel.
“I wonder what father and Lord Enma want to see me about…?”, he asks himself, as he retracts his wings into his back and walks out of the cave.
The other angels who were scrambling to do their chores all stop what they were doing to watch as Hisoka gracefully walks past them, towards their Lord Enma's throne-room.
“There goes Hisoka…”, one of the female angels whispers to her friend.
“I wonder why he is being summoned to Lord Enma's chambers…”, the friend whispers back.
“Who knows, Hisoka is one of the most behaved angel in all of Tenkai…”
“He may be behaved, but his eyes aren't natural…”, a random angel points out to the two female angels.
“I agree, green eyes on an angel is the sign of a great omen…”, the random angel's friend pipes up.
“Well, I think his eyes are beautiful…”, one of the females retorts.
`It's always like this…', Hisoka mentally sighs, `Just because my eyes aren't a shade of blue like everyone else's, they always single me out…', he adds in his head, having grown up without friends because of his eye color.
//The time will come when there will be no more prejudice…//, a voice says inside his head.
“Huh…?”, he gasps, stopping to look around himself for who just spoke to him, `Who said that?'
//Don't worry, I'm a friend…//, the voice laughs, the laugh sounding like a thousand silver-bells ringing.
`Who are you?', he mentally asks.
//That isn't important right now, what is important is that you hurry to your meeting with your father…//, the voice states.
“Crap…!”, he silently curses, starting to run towards the chambers.
“That is right Hisoka, begin on your path towards your destiny…”, a woman whispers, as she watches him run, her face hidden underneath the shadow of the golden-shawl draped over her head, “Because you are one of two keys who will end the hatred…”, she continues, her voice being the voice Hisoka heard in his head.

-Inside Enma's Chambers-
Knock-knock-knock
“Enter!”, boomed a powerful voice.
The door slowly opens and Hisoka pokes his head inside, “You wished to see me, Lord Enma?”, he nervously asks.
“Hisoka Kurosaki come before me”, Enma orders.
Hisoka steps in closing the door behind him and walks over to the pillow set out for him to kneel on with his head lowered.
“Hisoka, wings…”, he heard another male voice flatly say, causing him to flinch as he knelt onto the pillow.
“Sorry father, I mean General Kurosaki…”, he shakily replies, unfolding his wings from his back, having forgotten to because of how nervous he was.
“Nagare, go easy on the boy, it is his first time meeting with me”, Enma chuckles.
“Yes my Lord…”, Nagare bows his head.
“W-what is it you wished to see me about, Lord Enma…?”, Hisoka hesitantly questions, his body shaking from the tension of not knowing as he keeps his eyes pointed towards the floor in front of himself.
“Young Hisoka, the reason I have called upon you is because I require someone to go down to earth and investigate the murders of some humans and your fellow angels…”, the ruler explains.
“I-I am honored my Lord, but isn't there other angels more qualified than me…?”, he replies, praying he didn't sound disrespectful.
“That is true, but they are already out on assignments”, Enma says, “I understand you've never gone to earth before, but you're the only one I can send”
“I understand, my Lord…”, Hisoka nods, biting his bottom-lip trying to get rid of the apprehension he was feeling.
“Now that you have your orders, you're dismissed”
“Thank you my Lord…”, he bows, before raising to his feet and heads towards the door without once looking up at Lord Enma or his father; Nagare.
“Is it wise my Lord to send my son?”, Nagare asks, raising his head up to look towards the ruler, his eyes hidden behind a strip of silk-cloth even though he wasn't blind.
“I have no choice; I have to send him… He's the only one qualified to investigate the murders…”
“I understand…”

-At the Tenkai Gates-
`Earth… I'm being sent to earth…', Hisoka repeats inside his head, as the uneasy feeling still sat in his gut.
“Kurosaki-sama, nervous about your first time going to earth?”, one of the gate-guards asks.
“Yes…”, he answers, blushing.
“Don't worry, it's like a cake-walk so long as you keep yourself invisible to the mortals”, another guard advises.
“Thank you for the advice…”, he nods.
“Ready kid?”
“Y-yes…”, he stutters.
“Open the gate!”, a guard shouts to the gate-keeper.
As the gate slowly opened, Hisoka held his breath in a attempt to hide his fear behind a mask of indifference, before stepping through the gate unfolding his wings as he did.
Hisoka slowly hovers down towards the grassy-ground and checking to make sure he was channeling his powers on making himself invisible to normal eyes, `Man, focusing on staying invisible is hard!', he mentally says, wiping the sweat from exertion out his chin as he retracts his wings.
“Wow…!”, he gasps, looking around at the scenery, “A sunset!”, he quietly exclaims, watching as the sun slowly vanishes in a array of reds, oranges, yellows, and purples.
“Well look at this…”, a voice hisses from behind him, “A little rookie angel to play with…”
He quickly turns around to find a woman of extraordinary beauty that Hisoka could have mistaken her for an angel if it wasn't for the leathery black wings protruding from her back.
`A demon!', he panicky thinks, unsure of how to deal with it, and notices the bodies of a few slain humans and angels piled behind her, “Are you the one behind the killings…?”, he demands, hiding his fear behind anger.
“And if I'm responsible, what are you going to do about it?”, she retorts, not really answering the question as she vanishes for a spilt-second and reappears behind him, “You're just a rookie…”, she adds, holding a knife to his throat.
Hisoka takes a sharp intake of breath as he feels the edge of the blade grazing his skin.
“You know, I've never seen an angel with green eyes before…”, she laughs, “I wonder what your blood tastes like…”, she adds, pressing the blade harder against his flesh.
`Lord Enma… Is this how I'm going to die?!', he mentally asks, closing his eyes.
The demon behind him is suddenly pulled away from him as her blood-curdling scream ringing in his ears making Hisoka collapse to his knees clutching his ears trying to block out the horrendous-sound.
“What do you think you are doing, hell-witch?”, a low echoing voice of a male inquires, as Hisoka heard the sickening sound of flesh tearing followed by another blood-curdling scream from the she-demon.
Hisoka looks over his shoulder to glance at his savoir and sees the back of a tall man dressed in white with white wings extending from his back and sliver hair, the demon was being held up in the air with one hand and a piece of leather torn from her wing in the other, but no blood dripped from either her wing or the torn off piece as she hung limply from his grip, her neck snapped with a flick of his wrist.
“Um…”, Hisoka mutters, as he gets to his feet, “T-thank y-you for saving me…”, he quietly says.
“Don't mention it, kid”, the male replies.
“I didn't think there were any of angels in the area…”, he sighs.
“Angels…”, the man scoffs.
“Huh…?”
“That is where you're wrong, boy”, the man cackles, turning around to look at the teenage-angel with silver eyes; the right eye had a bluish tint to it.
“Y-you…”, Hisoka stammers, recognizing the face of Tenkai's most wanted criminal, “Y-you're the f-fallen a-angel…! K-Kazutaka M-Muraki…!”, he gasps.
