-The Next Day-
“Are we ready to go?”, Ruka asks, turning around to check on the young angel to make sure he was ready.
“I-I think so…”, Hisoka stammers, nervously tugging on the blue-denim jacket he was wearing over a orange long-sleeve shirt with matching blue-jeans and blue, white, black and yellow sneakers.
(A/N: Check out pictures of Hisoka's outfit from the show to see what it looks like, unless you already know!)
“You look fine, Hisoka-kun”, she reassures, before turning towards her brother, “Are you ready to go, Asato?”
Tsuzuki stood there in a pair of faded blue-jeans and a black long-sleeve shirt that parts of it looked to be made of strips of matching-cloth with a purplish-grey trench-coat draped over his arm, “I'm ready!”
“You're wearing that?”, his sister sighs.
“Is something wrong?”
“No, it's fine… It's just you're not wearing shoes…”
“I've got them right here!”, he exclaims, holding up a pair of black sneakers in his hand, “I just wanted to save time by putting them on in the car instead of in the house…”, he adds, explaining his logic.
“Whatever…”, she groans, not wanting to argue with him.
“Hey! Tsuzuki! Ruka!”, a voice calls out from up the road.
“Watari!”, Tsuzuki exclaims, waving out to a golden-blonde headed young man wearing glasses excitedly waving back while hanging out of the window of the truck-cab.
“Watari is a very good friend of my brother's…”, Ruka whispers to Hisoka.
“But I thought you said your brother didn't have friends…?”
“I did, didn't I…? What I meant was he doesn't have any human friends…”, she corrects, “Watari is half-human…”
“What's the other half…?”
“Demon…”
“Demon…?”, Hisoka gasps, suddenly turning pale.
“Don't worry, earth is; or is supposed to be, neutral-ground where the half-breed child of angels and demons can live together peacefully among each-other and humans, but Tenkai and Jidaikai have turned it into a battle-ground for their war…”, she explains, “Oh, how I wish you could have seen what it was like before the war…”
“Who or what started the war?”
“No one knows…”, she shakes her head.
“Hey Watari is willing to take us over the next five towns, then we're going to find another ride to the mountains!”, Tsuzuki shouts.
“That's great, luckily I already know who to call to take us from there”, Ruka says, walking towards the truck, followed by the precautious Hisoka.
“Hey Ruka, long time no see!”, Watari calls out, as his friend's sister approaches, “So whose your little friend?”
“Oh this is Hisoka, he was attacked last week and has been in my care since then”, she replies, wrapping an arm around the young angel's shoulders.
“I'm Yutaka, Watari Yutaka, pleased to meet you Hisoka-kun”, Watari greets, holding his hand out in a kind gesture of a friendly hand-shake as he amber-colored eyes sparkle in the sunlight from behind his glasses.
Hisoka just shies behind Ruka, still unsure of if he could trust the half-demon.
“Huh…? What's wrong?”
“Forgive him Watari, Hisoka-kun is on his first trip to earth so he's nervous”, Ruka explains, “I hope you don't mind…”
“Oh, one of Enma's angels, attacked by a demon, wasn't he?”,
“No worst…”, Tsuzuki says.
“No… you don't mean…”, Watari gasps.
“Yes, fallen-angel and Shigemi's top-general; Kazutaka Muraki…”, he replies.
“The kid is lucky to still be alive…”
“Only because I saved him…”
“Damn it Asato! Why didn't you tell me you ran into Muraki?!”, Ruka demands, “Considering you came back home carrying Hisoka with your wings out, he probably knows that you exist! How could you be so stupid?!”
“He doesn't know my name, he only knows that a black-winged angel interrupted him…”, Tsuzuki says in his defense.
“Yeah, but you're the only black-winged angel around! You know I was born with white wings and the only reason your wings are black is because of your father's blood…”, she whispers the last part to him so Hisoka wouldn't hear.
“Oh…”, he gasps, casting his violet-eyes towards the ground, “I'm sorry…”
“Well… what's done is done, we can't fix it now…”, she sighs, “All we can do now is get Hisoka to the spring, get his wings healed, and he can quickly return to the safety of Tenkai…”
“So… What is this thing?”, Hisoka asks, lightly poking the metal-exterior of Watari's vehicle.
“It's what is called an automobile, people here on earth ride in them to get to where they want to go to”, Watari replies, standing behind the curious young angel, making him suddenly straighten and press his back against the truck.
“H-hello…”, he stutters, his appearance resembling that a of startled cat.
“Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you”, the half-demon says, “Any friend of Tsuzuki's is a friend of mine”
“T-thank y-you…”
“Perhaps I shouldn't have told Hisoka-kun about your lineage, Watari-san”, Ruka comments.
“No, it's alright that he knows that I'm half-demon, this way he can see that not all demons are bad”, he answers, gently ruffling Hisoka's hair, causing him to flinch from the contact, “Oops, I shouldn't be doing that if you're uncomfortable…”
“Please don't do that again, I'm not used to it…”, Hisoka quietly states.
“All you had to do is say so!”, Watari cheerfully says, walking back to the driver's side of his truck, “Everyone climb into the back so we can get going!”
“Hisoka, come on”, Tsuzuki offers, holding his hand out to the younger angel from where he sat in the bed of the truck, “I'll help you in”
Hisoka takes hold of his savior's hand and Tsuzuki effortlessly lifts him into the truck, but as Hisoka's feet touch the lining of the bed, his foot slips on a puddle of grease and causes him to yelp in surprise as he quickly lost his balance, landing onto Tsuzuki's lap and he finds his lips less than a centimeter away from the other's.
“S-s-sorry…”, Hisoka stammers, as a blush consumes his features and he pushes himself away, moving far enough so he wouldn't be in Tsuzuki's lap anymore.
“It's alright, it was an accident”, he smiles, completely unfazed.
“Is everyone comfortable?”, Watari asks from inside the cab.
“We're ready to go”, Ruka says, settling into the truck-bed.
“Hang on tight then”, the half-demon advises, shifting the vehicle into gear and speeds away with his passengers.

-Tenkai-
“Still no word from my son, Miya?”, Nagare questions, as he paces the vast-chamber.
“Yes, General Kurosaki”, the servant-angel replies, kneeling on the floor with her head lowered, “Hisoka-sama hasn't been seen nor heard from since before he left for his mission”
“Give it time, Nagare”, Enma states, watching his top general walk back and forth in worry, “The boy is a bright he will alright”
“General Kurosaki!”, an angel shouts running into the room and kneels before his commander, “I have news about your son; Hisoka!”
“Report soldier!”, he orders.
“Immediately after Hisoka Kurosaki touch down on earth, he had encountered a demon, but that wasn't a problem as he was saved by another angel”, the soldier begins.
“Another angel? There were no other angels stationed there!”
“That is the problem, the angel who rescued him isn't one of ours… It was the former lieutenant and fallen angel Kazutaka Muraki. The news only gets worst from there, sir”, the soldier continues, “He captured Hisoka and tortured him; both physically and mentally, breaking his wings and raping him, and…”
“I knew I shouldn't have let him go down to investigate on earth!”, his father rages.
“Nagare, calm yourself!”, Enma orders, “Continue with your report soldier”
“Of course, my Lord. And before Hisoka could be killed by Muraki, an unknown angel with black wings rescued him. That is where the reports end”
“Black wings…?”, Nagare mutters, growing pale.
“It appears that it has begun, despite our attempts”, the ruler states, “Soldier, I want the `prisoner' brought before me”
“Yes, my Lord”, the angel bows, before rising to execute his command.
“Are you sure we should be letting the traitor out of their cell?”
“We have to, I need the best warrior I have to bring back both your son and the black-winged savior”, Enma says, “Dead or Alive…”
“I understand…”
