A Yami no Matsuei drabble by Setzuka

 

 

A PG-13 rated drabble. Muraki-centric. No spoilers.

 

Such a delicate art, Muraki thought. The way the sharp blade cuts through skin effortlessly. Blood running in rivulets before cautery has done its job. How the flesh that has been cleaved in two gives way to the underlying bulging tissue. The fascia split sharply to reveal its hidden and coveted prize. The way that the bowel pushes its way out as the peritoneum is slit with scissors. The sensation of warm bowel moving through one's fingers, peristalsis held in one's hands.

 

It was a pleasure that Muraki experienced out of the operating room as well.
