Sailor Moon GX: Destiny Stars
Chapter 7: Pharaohs, Gods, and . . . Actors?!
(The second day of the GX tournament; within the office of Chancellor Sheppard in the early morning hours)
Just after dawn, we find Trista Meiou AKA Sailor Pluto in front of Chancellor Sheppard's desk and talking with him about what happened yesterday with the information about Sartorius, the Misgarth brainwashing satellite, and what happened with Jadeite's reappearance on Duel Academy. Yesterday, after Jaden beat Jadeite and his mysterious powers were revealed, our heroes and heroines informed Yugi, Atem, and their friends about what happened with Jadeite on the island. Sheppard immediately dispatched search teams to find Jadeite, who was under the name of `Jed Zypherin', a pro duelist who won many victories, but `mysterious things' happened around him through no one can prove any of the `mysterious events' were linked to him. However, despite the search efforts, with secret aid from our Sailor Scouts and their allies, there is not a single trace of the evil Negaverse general, but they figure he is still on the island since he is still after Jaden and the `mysterious power' that gave Trista, Lita, Hotaru, Amara, and Michelle their Eternal Sailor Scout powers. Sheppard asked Trista if it was a good idea for security teams to keep an eye on Jaden for his safety, but our Guardian of the Gates of Time told him that it wasn't such a good idea since the security forces on Duel Academy have no experience with someone like Jadeite like the Sailor Senshi do. Trista advised Chancellor Sheppard to keep matters of Jaden's protection in their hands for now and even through Sheppard didn't like the idea of one of his students in other people's hands, especially Jaden since he was a favorite of his. Jaden had grown on Sheppard like Zane did before because how Jaden's personality is and help saving the world from the Shadow Riders and the Sacred Beasts does really help to gain one's favor. However, despite what he thought, he had to agree because of the facts and allow Jaden's protection to be handled by the Sailor Scouts. But now, what is disturbing him is the information about Sartorius gaining the controls for Misgarth's brainwashing satellite.
Chancellor Sheppard says, “I should have known there was more to Sartorius' plans when he asked for Prince Ojin to come to Duel Academy. With that brainwashing satellite under his control, we are all in mortal danger.”
Trista says, in her usual plain tone, “And we cannot just go up into space to blow it out of the sky. In order to keep the trust of the people of Earth, we need to follow many of their rules and destroying one kingdom's satellite `out of the blue' will not be looked on favorably.”
Chancellor Sheppard tells Trista, “I wish that I could help you, Trista, but that satellite and all information related to it is under tight guard. Even through we know it is in Sartorius' hands, we can't get any information on it to prove anything.”
Trista tells Chancellor Sheppard, “Do not worry, Chancellor Sheppard. I believe that there is a way that we can expose Sartorius for who and what he truly is.”
Chancellor Sheppard tells Trista, “Until then, I believe it is all in our best interests for you and the others to `lay low' until we can figure out a strategy to expose Sartorius.” Chancellor Sheppard asks Trista, “Anyway, how is Jaden Yuki after what happened yesterday?”
Trista tells Chancellor Sheppard, “He has fully recovered and is back to his `usual self'.”
Chancellor Sheppard smiles and says, “Well, that's good to hear.” Chancellor Sheppard then says, “Well, I will try to get any information about that satellite from the Misgarth Kingdom. I do have a few `connections' that I can try.”
Trista bows her head and tells him, “Thank you, Chancellor Sheppard.”
Chancellor Sheppard tells Trista, “Before you go, I would like to know something.”
Trista asks, curiously, “Yes?”
Chancellor Sheppard tells Trista, his expression getting serious along with his tone, “I've talked with your fellow `Outer Scouts' about you and I've learned a bit more about you, which confirmed my suspicions. You know more about Jaden than you are letting on. I need to know: What is the importance of Jaden to all of you, girls, to your princess, and to the Moon Queen?”
Trista sighs and says, “I knew that you would ask this sooner or later. You are very kind, fair, and liberal chancellor, but I know for a fact that you are no fool. But you should already know that I can't tell you anything until the time is right.”
Chancellor Sheppard sighs and says, “Yes, your fellow Sailor Scouts told me that's exactly what you would say. However, I should tell you that you already know this saying: `This past is made in stone, but the future is made in glass.' You told as much as you can about the future of planet Earth without endangering the path that it is already going on, but you should know that time is a path and it can go many different ways. I just hope that you make the right choice before it is too late.”
Trista tells Chancellor Sheppard, “You are very wise, Chancellor Sheppard. And I sense your distress and worry, but I ask you one favor: Just trust in my words and in us and if not in us, then in Jaden Yuki and his abilities. I can't tell everything, but soon, Jaden's important to us, my princess, and the universe will reveal themselves.” Trista then turns towards the door and prepares to leave for the next day of the tournament, but thinks in her mind, “However, I have some of the same ideas of keeping the secrets that I know to himself. I just pray to Selene that I'm making the right choice and that the future that Rini comes from will not be destroyed!”
Chancellor Sheppard turns his chair towards his large window, looks over the whole of the island, and thinks in his mind, “Trista, I hope that you are right.”
(Within the walls of the `White Dorm'; A short time later)
During the same morning of the second day of the GX tournament, we find Sartorius in front of table with his Tarot cards shuffled and piled into a stack on the table. He turns over the top card to find The Fool Tarot card and Sartorius goes into deep thought about this.
Sartorius thinks in his mind, “The Fool, once again. Jaden Yuki is showing that he is more and more vital to my plans, but something mystifies me. Every time I pick up the card that represents him, I feel a great power pulsing from it and continue to grow, like something is `awakening' within Jaden. It seems that Jaden has more power than I originally thought, but the `origins' of this deeper power are a mystery to me. What is the source of Jaden's new power?” Sartorius turns over the next Tarot card in his deck and finds The Moon Tarot card in his hand. Sartorius thinks in his mind, “The Moon, very interesting. Very interesting, indeed, it seems like Sailor Moon and Jaden Yuki do have a great bond between them. Somehow Jaden Yuki and Sailor Moon are connected together, but what is this connection? And for once, I am perplexed. I am not sure that Jaden is supposed to be standing by my side or he is going to be standing in my way and needs to be destroyed. However, this is a matter for another time. I will continue to look into the cards for answers, but first, there is something that I need to take care of first.” Soon after, a knock came on Sartorius' door, he gives a smile and says, “Come.” The door opens to reveal Chazz Princeton coming into the room.
Chazz Princeton bows in front of Sartorius and tells him, “Master Sartorius, I have done what you have asked. Tea Gardner has been captured and Atem is being lured into our trap.”
Sartorius tells Chazz, “Well done, Chazz. Once again, you have done excellent work.”
Chazz bows his head and says, “Thank you, Master Sartorius. Anything to show these fools into the light and when he get Atem and the Egyptian God Cards under our control, we will have the most powerful beasts in Duel Monsters to do so.”
Sartorius turns over the next two cards in his Tarot deck to reveal The Hangman card upside down and The Sun Tarot card and says, “Do not underestimate his abilities. He and Yugi Moto learned from each other when they were joined together by the Millennium Puzzle. And now, even through separate, they are both still as evenly matched as ever before.”
Chazz tells Sartorius, “I understand, Master.”
Sartorius asks Chazz, “By the way, Chazz, is there something wrong with Alexis?”
Chazz gasps in shock and says, with a sigh, “I'm sorry, Master . . . It's just . . . Well . . . Alexis is acting . . . strange . . . as of late . . .”
Sartorius tells Chazz, “Chazz, don't worry when you are with me. Now, please, try to talk clearly.”
Chazz tells Sartorius, “Forgive me, Master. It is just that Alexis seems to be losing faith and as you well, Master Sartorius, she didn't attend the meeting last night. Plus, she hasn't come out of her room this morning. Ever since embracing the light, she has always woke up at the first sign of light, but now . . . I am worried that slacker is weakening her. However, I wasn't sure to come to you, Master, because I didn't . . .”
Sartorius tells Chazz, “Do not worry, Chazz. I am not cross and no, I don't think Alexis is a traitor. However, Jaden might be having an effect on her, but please, don't try to pursue him for the moment. You are almost ready for him, but not yet. He has grown stronger recently along with his deck and your deck needs to be ready to face the power that he now holds.”
Chazz tells Sartorius, “But Master, nothing is stronger than the light! With it by my side, I know that I can show that slacker, Jaden, once and for all into the light. I will not fail you.”
Sartorius tells Chazz, “I know that you won't, Chazz. However, the darkness has its ways to trick us and to rush out there will allow yourself to be blinded by it. Please just wait a while longer and do not worry, when the time is right, you will have your rematch with him.”
Chazz tells Sartorius, “I can't wait, Master Sartorius. Thank you.”
Sartorius tells Chazz, “That's all, Chazz. I will `clear things up' with Alexis sometime tomorrow.”
Chazz tells Sartorius, “Thank you, Master Sartorius.” Chazz then heads towards the door and leaves Sartorius' room.
Sartorius thinks in his mind, “It seems like I was right. Alexis' `bond' with Jaden is still strong despite the light's hold on her. It seems like there is one with an even greater bond to Jaden than Blair Flannigan.” When Sartorius looks down on the cards on the table, The Fool and The Moon Tarot cards are together along with The Hangman and The Sun Tarot by the other two cards. He gives a wide grin and thinks, “However, I believe that the cards and destiny show me another reason for these four cards. The Fool represents Jaden, The Moon represents Sailor Moon AKA Serena Tsukino, The Hangman represents Chazz, and The Sun represents Alexis. She is a midnight sun, the brightest light in the darkest abyss, and Jaden's `bond' with her might be the way to defeat him and make him see the light. I believe that the cards are telling me that the duel must be between Jaden and Sailor Moon against Chazz and Alexis. Yes, but her resistance to the light might prove problematic against me. I might need to `refresh' Alexis' `memory'.”
(Elsewhere within the `White Dorm'; On the meanwhile)
Around this same time, we find none other than Alexis Rhodes looking outside and into the distance with a sad and solemn look on her expression instead of the cold and harsh one when she `joined' the Society of Light. Ever since yesterday, there seemed to be an ache in her heart and it got worse every time she looked towards the Slifer Red dorm. However, she knew all too well what that ache is being caused by, but not by some kind of medical condition or bad food. It is a person. And that person is none other than our Slifer Red hero: Jaden Yuki.
Alexis thinks in her mind, “What's wrong with me? I just help to feel so sad and so confused. I thought that I was happy here in the light with my fellow Society members, but whenever I think about Jaden, I get a dull ache in my heart. Ever since I tried that `stunt' by threatening his best friend, I can't help to feel solemn and heart-broken.” Her mind becomes filled with memories of her time before her `conversation' into the Society of Light with her brother, her friends, and with Jaden.
Just then a voice, a dark and cold one, inside of Alexis' mind calls out, mentally, “He is just trying to weaken you, Alexis . . . You are a strong duelist . . . You did what it took to bring him here to you . . . and he rejected you . . .”
Alexis calls out to the voice in reply, mentally, “Jaden . . . rejected me . . .?”
The voice replies, mentally, “All you tried to do was show him a better path . . . and he left you . . .Jaden Yuki is just trying to weaken you . . . You are the queen of the Girls' dorm . . . you do not need him . . .”
Alexis asks the voice, mentally, “I . . . I don't . . .?”
The voice replies, mentally, “Yes, you don't need him . . . all he will do is weaken . . . he wants to take your destiny . . . take away your strength . . . you are strong without him . . . Can you sure that he won't hurt you like others did . . .?”
Alexis thinks in her mind, as negative thoughts about Jaden fill her mind, and she replies, in a harsh mental tone, “No . . . No, I don't need him . . . He is trying to weaken me . . . To trick me . . . He rejected me . . . when I just tried him to show him the truth . . . He just left me alone . . . And I don't need him . . .!”
However, another voice, one filled kindness and caring, yells out in Alexis' mind, “Don't listen to that voice, Alexis . . . Its trying to blind you from the truth . . .!”
Alexis gasps in shock and exclaims, in her mind, “Huh?! What?!”
The cold and harsh voice exclaims in Alexis' mind, “Be silent! Leave at once!”
The kind and pure voice shouts out in Alexis' mind, “I will not be silenced! Alexis . . . don't listen to that voice . . . you must free yourself . . . this evil light is controlling you . . . using you . . . Sartorius is using you . . .!!”
Alexis replies, in a serious mental tone, “No, Sartorius-sama would never use me! He is a great man!”
The kind and pure voice replies, mentally, “Then why do you feel this ache in your heart? Why do you feel guilty about what you did? It is because that you know that what you are doing is wrong and deep in your heart, you know the truth! Would Jaden ever truly hurt you? Would a pure soul like Jaden ever try to take anything away from you? Your heart . . . Alexis . . . trust the true light . . . the light within your heart . . .”
Alexis mentally states, shocked, “The light . . . within my heart . . .?” Alexis began to look inside of herself and then feels great warmth within herself as positive emotions about Jaden Yuki and the others came back. Alexis thinks in her mind, “What is this light? It is not cold, but so . . . warm . . .” Just then the negative emotions come back and the cold and harsh light reenters her mind.
The cold and harsh voice exclaims, mentally, “No . . . do not listen . . . It is a false light . . . The darkness is trying to trick you . . . don't believe it . . . Jaden is your enemy . . . and you must defeat him to achieve greatness . . .!”
The kind and pure voice shouts out, mentally, “No, Alexis . . . you must fight . . . fight the negative emotions . . . fight the cold and harshness of the impure light . . . look into your inner light and be free . . . Jaden is the one that you love . . . fight it . . .!” Soon after, Alexis goes on her knees and holds her head as bright white and bright gold aura surround her as mixed positive and negative emotions fill her heart and mind causing her great pain.
After a few minutes of this, Alexis screams out in her mind, “Get of my head . . . both of you . . . Get out . . . Get out . . . GET OUT . . .!!!” Just then the white and golden auras fade away as she falls upon her hands and knees with tears beginning to stream out of her eyes. Alexis says, weakly, “What . . . What's happening to me . . . What have I become . . . What's going to happen to me . . . Jaden, what have I done?” She goes into a sitting position on the roof and tears continue to stream out as her mind and heart were left in total confusion by the whole ordeal.
(Elsewhere on Academy Island; A short time soon after)
In another portion of the island, we find our former pharaoh walking down the path towards the beach along with a note in his right hand and a duel disk with a dueling deck inside attached to his left wrist.
The note says:
Dear Atem,
We have your best friend, Tea Gardner, with us. Come to the beach on the other side of Academy Island or we will bring her to see Master Sartorius to see the light. Bring your deck and duel disk. And come alone, without your friends, especially Yugi Moto, to help you or else, little miss Tea will see the light when she likes to or not.
Formally,
Chazz Princeton
After getting this note, he found that Tea was taken from her room and immediately rushed over without telling anyone or hesitation because he knew that the members of the Society of Light will carry out their threats.
Atem thinks in his mind, “Don't worry, Tea. I will save you.” Soon enough, Atem arrives at the beach to find Tea Gardner, wearing only a yellow bikini, tied up on a stake with a male student with deep black hair in a slightly spiked look with green eyes in white clothes waiting in front of Tea. Atem shouts out, shocked, “Tea!”
Tea shouts out, worriedly, “Atem, get away! It's a trap!”
The white student tells Tea, “Be silent, you!”
Atem roars out, angrily, “Release Tea at once!”
The white student replies, as he attached a duel disk to his left wrist and inserts a dueling deck into the dueling deck into the duel disk, “Not going to happen, Atem. Unless you win this duel. If you win, Tea goes free, but if I win, both of you will join us in the Society of Light. And if you refuse to duel, Tea goes straight to Master Sartorius.”
Atem says, in a serious tone, “It looks like I have no choice.” Atem walks up to the white student, gets into position, and says, “But first, answer me these questions? Who are you? And what does your master want with me?”
The white student replies, “The name Tiran and Master Sartorius knows about your power over the Egyptian Gods. He wants that power for himself to make the world see the light. And he only knows that only you can weld the gods, so, we need you.”
Atem tells Tiran, “I will never join you or your Master!”
Tiran replies, “We'll see about that, Atem. Now, it is time to duel!” Tiran and Atem activate their duel disks, which display 4000 life-points for each player.
Both duelists draw five cards from their duel and exclaims in unison, “Let's duel!”
Starting Scores:
Tiran: 4000
Atem: 4000
Tea thinks in her mind, “Please be careful, Atem.”
Atem draws one card from his deck and exclaims, “I will go first!” Atem looks at his hand and thinks in his mind, “It is a good thing that I adapted my deck since I have been revived. It has been a decade since I dueled and I need to `keep up with the times'.” Atem puts one card on his duel disk and calls out, “Now, I summon my Armed Dragon level three in attack mode!” Soon after, Armed Dragon LV3 (1200/800) appears on the field in attack mode. Atem then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and exclaims, “Next, I play my Level Up spell card! This card allows me to sacrifice my level three Armed Dragon and call forth his more powerful form!” Armed Dragon LV3 gives a bright glow of light as it is sent to the graveyard, Atem goes through his deck, takes out one card from it, puts his deck into his duel disk, puts the card on his duel disk, and calls out, “Now, come forth, Armed Dragon level five!” In place of Armed Dragon LV3, Armed Dragon LV5 (2400/1500) comes to the field in attack mode.
Tiran exclaims, in shock, “A high-level monster on the first turn?!”
Atem tells Tiran, “Indeed. If you have faith in your cards, there is nothing you can do.” Atem puts two cards in the spell/trap slots of his duel disk and states, “And now, I will end my turn with two face-down cards.”
Tiran draws one card from his deck and states, with a sly smile, “I see that you are indeed the great duelists that I heard you are. However, it doesn't mean that you can stop destiny.”
Atem says, with his serious tone and expression, “We shall see.”
Tiran tells Atem, “Indeed, we shall.” Tiran puts one card in the spell/trap slots and exclaims, “Now, I play my Hammer Shot spell card! This card destroys the monster with the highest attack points on the field and since there is only one monster, guess who has got to go?”
Atem exclaims, shocked, “Oh no!” Just then Armed Dragon LV5 is crushed by a giant hammer as it is destroyed.
Tea calls out, shocked, “Atem!”
Tiran puts one card on his duel disk and calls out, “Next, I summon my Makyrua the Destructor in attack mode!” Soon after, Makyrua the Destructor (1600/1800) comes to the field in attack mode. Tiran then commands, “Now, attack Atem directly!” Makyrua the Destructor then moves in to attack Atem with its claws.
Tea shouts out to Atem, worriedly, “Watch out!”
Atem calls out, “Reveal the face-down card! Spellbinding Circle!” One of Atem's face-down card is revealed to be the Spellbinding Circle trap card and Makyrua the Destructor becomes entrapped in a magical binding circle. Atem tells Tiran, “Makyrua is now trapped within my Spellbinding Circle! Not only am I safe, your monster can't attack and it loses seven hundred attack points!” Makyrua's stats then drop down from 1600/1800 to 900/1800, thanks to Atem's trap card.
Tiran then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, angrily, “You got lucky! I end my turn with this!”
Atem draws one card from his deck and calls out, “My move!” Atem puts one card into the spell/trap slots and exclaims, “I play the spell card: Polymerization! With it, I can fuse my Gaia the Fierce Knight with my Curse of Dragon!” Atem discards the two monster cards from his hand, Gaia the Fierce Knight (2300/2100) and Curse of Dragon (2000/1500) appear on the field, they go into a fusion vortex, Atem takes one card from his fusion deck, puts the fusion monster card on his duel disk, and shouts out, “Together, they are the mighty Gaia the Dragon Champion!” Out of the fusion vortex, Gaia the Dragon Champion (2600/2100) comes to the field in attack mode. Atem thinks in his mind, “Most likely, the real trap is that monster because when Makyrua is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, my opponent gets to play one trap card from his hand. However, I need to risk it.” Atem then commands, “Gaia, destroy his monster with Double Dragon Lance!”
Tiran thinks in his mind, evilly, “Thank you, fool! I knew that you would do that!” Gaia flies in, slices Makyrua apart, and he is destroyed while Tiran suffers 1500 points of damage to his life-points. Tiran exclaims, “Exactly what I wanted you to do, Atem! Now, I can play Makyrua's effect! When it is destroyed, I can play one trap from my hand! And I choose this!” Tiran puts one card in the spell/trap slots of his duel disk and calls out, “And the trap that I choose is Michizure! Since you destroyed one of my monsters, this trap destroys the monster that destroyed mine! So, say farewell, to your Dragon Champion!” Just then two arms come out from the ground and split Gaia the Dragon Champion in half, destroying it.
Atem yells out, shocked, “My Dragon Champion!”
Tiran calls out, “He is the least of your worries since I play my face-down card! Soul Rope!” Tiran's face-down card is revealed to be the Soul Rope trap card and Tiran says, “Since you destroyed one of my monsters, all I need to do is pay one thousand life-points to summon one level four or below monster from my deck to the field!” Tiran then goes through the cards in his deck, takes out one card, and exclaims, when he puts the card on his duel disk, “Now, I play my White Knight's Swordsman in attack mode!” Just then a knight covered in white armor comes, White Knight's Swordsman (1200/0) comes to the field in attack mode while Tiran's life-points drop by 1000.
Atem asks, shocked, “White Knight's Swordsman?!”
Tea exclaims, “It must be a card from Sartorius!”
Tiran replies, with an evil grin on his lips, “Indeed it is. Sartorius-sama has given me more power than you can dream of and all of it is coming towards you!”
Atem puts one card in the spell/trap slots and exclaims, “We shall see about that! I play my Swords of Revealing Light! This card keeps your monsters at bay for three turns!” Soon after, multiple swords made of pure light cover Tiran's side of the field.
Tiran says, not scared or surprised, “Pointless. Nothing can stop me or destiny.”
Atem tells Tiran, in a plain tone, “Your move.”
Current Score:
Atem: 4000
Tiran: 1500
Tiran draws one card from his deck, puts one card on his duel disk, and calls out, “Now, I play my White Knight's Lancer in attack mode!” Soon after, a knight with red hair, wearing similar white armor, and a double-sided white lance in his right hand, White Knight's Lancer (1500/0), appears on the field in attack mode. Tiran then puts another card in the spell/trap slots and calls out, “Next, I play my Heavy Storm spell! This spell destroys all spell and trap cards currently on the field!” Just then a huge storm destroys Atem's swords and his face-down card, a Waboku trap card. Tiran then puts another card in the spell/trap slots and exclaims, “Finally, I play my White Light's Booster! This spell card gives any and all monsters with the word `White Knight' in their name an extra five hundred attack points for this turn only!” White Knight's Lancer stats' increase from 1500/0 to 2000/0 and White Knight's Swordsman's stats increase from 1200/0 to 1700/0!
Atem shouts out, horrified, “Oh no! I'm wide open!”
Tiran commands, “Correct, Atem! Now, attack him directly!” White Knight's Lancer and White Knight's Swordsman charge and slash Atem with their blades causing him to scream out in shock and surprise as he loses 3700 life-points in one turn.
Tea shouts out, “Atem, are you okay?!”
Atem replies, weakly, “I'll be fine, Tea.”
Tiran tells Atem, “You will be okay only when you see the light. Your final move, Atem.” Tiran's two monsters' stats return to their original value since Tiran's spell that he used had its effect used up.
Current Score:
Atem: 300
Tiran: 1500
Atem looks at his deck and thinks in his mind, “His deck is much more powerful than I thought! Thanks to Sartorius, he is a strong duelist! However, I know that my deck will not let me down! Heart of the cards, guild me and help me save Tea!” Atem draws one card from his deck, gives a smile when he sees the card, and says, putting the card in the spell/trap slots, “Now, I play my Card of Sanctity! Both players must draw until they have six cards in their hands!” Both players draws from their decks until they have six cards in their hands, Atem puts another card in the spell/trap slots, and calls out, “Next, I play my Dian the Cure Master! This spell gives me one thousand more life-points!” Atem's life-points then increase by one thousand extra points.
Tiran tells Atem, “It is pointless to resist, Atem. My monsters will still wipe you out.”
Atem gives a wide grin and replies, “Are you sure?” Tiran gives a perplexed look as Atem puts another card in the spell/trap slots and calls out, “Then I play my Ties of the Brethren! This card costs me one thousand life-points, but I can summon two monsters with four stars or less from my deck directly to the field! And I choose my Queen's Knight and my King's Knight!” Atem's life-points drop by 1000, Atem takes two cards from his deck, and puts them on his duel disk. Soon after, Queen's Knight (1500/1600) and King's Knight (1600/1400) come to the field in attack mode. Atem then takes another card from his deck and says, “And since Queen's and King's Knight are on the field at the same time, I can summon my Jack's Knight to join them!” Atem puts the card on his duel disk and Jack's Knight (1900/1000) comes to the field in attack mode.
Tiran asks, a bit worriedly, “What is the point of all this?”
Atem shouts out, “You shall see when I sacrifice all three of my monsters!” Atem's three monsters vanishes from the field as he holds another card from his hand into the air, sending a red beam of light into the air, and Atem shouts out, “Next, I summon my Egyptian God Card! Slifer the Sky Dragon!” Atem slams the card on his duel disk, causing it to wildly spark, and a red beam of lightning comes from the sky and slams into the ground. Out of the smoke and dust, Slifer the Sky Dragon (3000/3000) appears on the field in attack mode.
Tiran yells out, shocked, “You've summoned your God Card!”
Atem tells Tiran, “When you have faith, you don't need help from madmen like Sartorius!” Atem then commands, “Now, my loyal Sky Dragon, destroy his White Knight's Lancer with Thunder Force Strike!” Slifer the Sky Dragon roars as it gathers energy into its main mouth and fires a beam of electrical energy at White Knight's Lancer, causing to explode in a huge explosion, and Tiran screams out as 1500 life-points were taken from his score. Atem shouts out to Tiran, “This duel is over!”
Final Score:
Atem: 300
Tiran: 0
After the duel ended, Slifer the Sky Dragon fades away as the duel disks de-activate, Tiran faints onto the sand on his back, and Atem runs over to Tea, quickly untying her from the wooden pole.
Atem goes over to her, puts his hands on her sides without thinking, and asks, concerned, “Are you okay, Tea?”
Tea tells Atem, “I am. Thanks to you, Atem.” Soon after, Atem and Tea notices what was happening and Atem takes his hands away from her sides with both of them blushing madly.
Atem clears his throat and tells Tea, “Um . . . Sorry about that Tea.”
Tea tells Atem, blushing herself, “I really don't mind, Atem.”
Atem wondered about Tea's statement and then asks her, “Why were you wearing just a bikini?”
Tea tells Atem, “Well, I was planning to go out on a swim this morning before the next day of the tournament started and then this white goon jumped me.”
Atem tells Tea, “I see. Well, he shouldn't be any trouble now. Since I defeated him, he should be free of Sartorius' control.”
Tea tells Atem, “We should take him to the nurse where he will be safe.”
Atem nods his head and replies, “Good idea, Tea. You get changed and I will take him to the nurse's office.”
Tea asks Atem, “Are you sure?”
Atem tells Tea, with a reassuring tone, “I will be just fine, Tea.”
Tea nods her head and says, “Okay.” Tea then asks Atem, widely blushing, “By the way, Atem, what do you think of my swimsuit?”
Atem gains a red blush on his cheeks and replies, “You look very good in that, Tea.”
Tea asks Atem, curiously, “Do you really think so?”
Atem replies, nervously and with his wide blush, “Yes . . . you do, Tea.”
Tea then says, with a sly grin, “Then maybe I should wear it more often.” Atem's blush becomes even wider, he looks to see Tea walk away to gather her stuff, he shakes his head to regain his composer, puts Tiran on his shoulders, and starts to head to the office.
Atem thinks in his mind, “By the gods, this young boy is heavier than he looks! This is going to be more difficult than I originally thought.”
(The middle morning hours; in an open field in a forest area on Academy Island)
Within an open field in the middle of one of the forest areas of Academy Island, we find all of our heroes and heroines, Yugi, Atem, and their group, our Zodiac Sailor Scouts, Darien and the Moon Kingdom Sailor Senshi, Jaden and his group of non-Senshi friends, Atticus, Blair, Bastion, Syrus, and Tyranno, and finally, our four guardian felines. Trista explains about the meeting between them and they review about what happened yesterday, namely the duel between Jaden and Jadeite.
Tyranno asks, curiously, “So, any sign of that snake Jadeite?”
Bastion shakes his head and says, “Not one clue. Not even Danielle's and Ami's computers can find them.”
Amara says, in a plain tone, “And he is using some kind of magic to block Rei's, Jasmine's, and my abilities to sense him.”
Joey states, in an annoyed tone, “And if we didn't have enough to worry about. We have that mind-wrapping satellite over our heads.”
Rebecca tells Joey, drolly, “Don't remind us, Joey.”
Darien asks Trista, “Where do we stand Trista?”
Trista tells Darien, in a plain tone, “Unfortunately, Chancellor Sheppard can't do anything without any evidence against Sartorius. And plus, the Misgarth Kingdom is not revealing any information on the satellite that you heard Prince Ojin talk about. The information is totally classified and no one will say a word about it. And we can't transform and blow the satellite out of the sky.”
Rei and Jasmine exclaim in unison, “Why not?!”
Trista tells Rei and Jasmine, in a plain tone, “Until the day of Crystal Tokyo is started on Earth, even through Serena is the future queen of Earth with Prince Endymon as the king, we are still citizens of this planet, in our `civilian' forms and as Sailor Scouts. And we will need the people of Earth to support us with we are going to start Crystal Tokyo in the first place. People might think unkindly if they see the Sailor Senshi just destroy a satellite without any good reason or even if it is a good reason, without evidence. In this battle, we are fighting on a fine line and we need to walk this line or we will lose the support of people, which would endanger Crystal Tokyo's existence, and we will be no better than those we are fighting. We need to make sure that we don't lose our morals as Sailor Senshi and protectors of this universe while ensuring that Sartorius is stopped.”
Ami sighs and says, “Well, I've got to say that Trista has a point.”
Hotaru nods her head and says, “I agree with Trista-mama. We need to find a way to expose Sartorius or the satellite and then we can act to stop them.”
Mindy asks, worriedly, “But what if Sartorius activates the satellite while we are trying to stop him?”
Atticus says, in a serious tone, “Mindy does have a point. We need to find a way to slow Sartorius down until we can expose him and get our friends back from his control.”
Jasmine exclaims, seriously, “Yeah, but how?! He's got to satellite controls in his room back in our former dorm! He can activate it at any time!”
Michelle states, “Jasmine has a point. He could have activated it when he just got the satellite controls. Why didn't he?”
Darien says, in a plain tone, “Michelle has a point. Why didn't he activate it right away?”
Atem replies, in his usual tone, “Sartorius must be waiting for the right time. But we aren't sure what he is waiting for and why? So, we can't tell how much time that we have.”
Rini asks, worriedly, “Well, we can't just sit here! What should we do?”
Bastion then exclaims, getting an idea, “I've got an idea!”
Everyone looks at Bastion and Jaden asks Bastion, “You do?”
Bastion then says, in a serious tone, “However, it is a very risky idea and I'm not sure if we should go through with it.”
Syrus takes a deep breath and asks, “Well, what is it?”
Bastion closes his eyes for a few seconds and says, when he opens them, “One of us has to infiltrate the White Dorm and get those satellite controls.”
Everyone gasps in shock and Jasmine exclaims, shocked, “Bastion, what are you thinking?! That's just insane to go right in there!”
Tyranno tells Bastion, “Gals got a point, private. You would be right within enemy territory without any backup and you would be surrounded on all sides. Plus, the enemy has got intelligence on all of us. They know us.”
Bastion nods his head and says, in a plain tone, “Yes, which is why we would have to convince those brainwashed students that we lost a duel and have been brainwashed as well. It would require a very good actor. That's why I said that this idea is very risky. There is a great risk that one of us that go in there will be brainwashed by Sartorius. However, our options are limited at this point.”
Lita says, in a plain tone, “I've got to admit, Bastion's right.”
Ami says, in her logical tone, “Bastion's correct I'm afraid. We don't have many options at this point.”
The group went into silence for a few minutes and Tea then says, “Maybe it is for the better that we discuss this tomorrow.”
Syrus nods his head and says, “Yeah, that's a good idea. I know that we can't keep waiting forever, but we can't do anything if we aren't sure about something.”
Jaden says, with a smile, “Syi is right, everyone. Besides we've got a tournament to play, so, let's get our games on!”
Atticus thinks in his mind, with a smile on his lips, “Same old Jaden. I've got to say he never let's anything get him down and he always cheers at least one person up when he is around. Makes me wonder why we are best buds and he is the best bet for Alexis. As well as the best person to bring Alexis back to us.”
Tyranno tells Jaden, “By the way, Sarge, how are you feeling this morning?”
Jaden asks Tyranno, “Just fine, Hassleberry. Why do you ask?”
Rei tells Jaden, in her sarcastic tone, “Well, finding out that you has some kind of awesome special powers and nearly getting killed by Jadeite might make you feel `uneasy'.”
Jaden tells Rei, with a smile, “Oh, come on, Rei! I don't let people like that get to me!”
Hyperion tells Jaden, “Young man, don't you know that your power could decide the fate of the world, even the universe?!”
Jaden tells Hyperion, in his classic nervous tone, “Well, it kind of occurred to me when I first met Aquos.”
Luna then says, “Well, you have a great untapped power within you, Jaden. And we believe that it is for the best that you have a few powerful bodyguards with you at all times.”
Atriums then states, “Which is why that two or three of the Sailor Scouts will be with you at all times. Jasmine has offered the services of the Zodiacs and since Jasmine and Mindy are good friends of yours, we have accepted. You have great power, Jaden, and it was shown when your power allowed Lita, Hotaru, Amara, Michelle, and Trista gain their Eternal Sailor Scout forms. We need to make sure that we find out what this power is and make sure that it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Your protection is now a top priority, now, more than ever before. This power could be the reason that Sartorius wants to brainwash you the most and it could be the reason that you are a `Chosen Duelist' like Serena and Aster.”
Jaden tells Atriums, with a smile, “Oh, come on, Atriums, I didn't lose a duel, yet.”
Sol tells Jaden, “The problem is that Sartorius might use `other methods' to bring you into the Society of Light and your defense against `those methods' aren't as strong as your dueling skills and abilities. We can't take that risk, Jaden. You are vital to the defeat of Sartorius and the salvation of the universe.”
Bastion then states, in his logical tone, “Maybe that's why Sartorius hasn't used the satellite, yet. He still needs Jaden, Aster, and Serena for some reason.”
Ami nods her head and says, “Bastion has a logical theory. Maybe Sartorius is waiting for the time that he takes control of Jaden, Aster, and Serena and then he will use the satellite. We can't be absolutely sure, but we do know that Sartorius needs the `Three Chosen Duelists'.”
Luna tells Ami, “You and Bastion have an excellent point, Ami.”
Atriums then says, “Maybe we should put a `watch' on Aster Phoenix as well.”
Jaden says, a bit nervously, “Not a good idea. Aster is too smart not to notice that he is or isn't being watched and he does things at his own pace without any help.”
Rei says, in her serious tone, “Doesn't matter. He is one of the few people that we need to protect the universe. We need to try to reason with him.”
Syrus says, plainly, “Not sure it will work. I mean Jaden barely managed to get Aster to agree to work together in their tag duel with Mizuchi.”
Trista then says, in her logical tone, “For now, I believe that we are not in fully agreement with our strategy. For now, I believe it is for the best that we continue on with the tournament, continue to win, and watch out for any trouble. Remember, Jadeite's plan include winning this tournament and even through Jaden took his medals and officially disqualifying from the tournament, Jadeite might be coming up with other ways to get what he desires.”
Darien nods his head and says, with a slight smile and serious tone, “Trista's right. We need to continue on with the tournament.”
Jaden exclaims, excitedly, “All right! Then let's get out there and get our games on!” Just then a bright light comes out from the distance and everyone turn to see a giant pillar of flames coming from the distance.
Tyranno exclaims, stunned, “Sam hill! What's that?!”
Syrus tells Tyranno, “Not much. Just your typical . . . RAGING PILLAR OF FIRE!!!” Just then spirit of Winged Kuriboh comes out of Jaden's deck and being to chirp loudly at his Aibou's ear.
Jaden looks at his spirit partner and asks him, telepathically, “What is it Kuriboh?” Winged Kuriboh then points to Atem's deck and Jaden gasps to see it glowing brightly. Jaden exclaims, “Everyone! Atem's deck!” Everyone looks in shock and Atem holds out his duel disk allowing everyone to see the bright glow.
Yugi asks Atem, “Atem, what is wrong with your deck?”
Atem replies, shocked, “I don't know! But I can feel . . . pain . . . great pain . . . coming from . . . One of the Egyptian Gods!! It is like one of the Egyptian Gods cards in my deck is calling out to me and telling me that it is in some kind of great pain! Liking being forced by a great power to do something against its will!” Just then Jaden looks over to the pillar of flame and sees two familiar golden feathered wings and red eyes coming from the pillar of flame.
Jaden thinks in his mind, “No way! I thought that only Atem had that card!”
Rei then states, “I don't know how I'm sensing this, but Atem's right! From his deck . . . I can sense great distress . . . and pain . . .!!”
Amara says, in a serious tone, “The wind is telling me the same thing! Like a creature of great and divine might is in pain, agony, and sorrow!”
Mina asks, perplexed, “What could be causing it?”
Atriums replies, in a serious tone, “I'm not sure! But if something can cause an Egyptian God to be in great pain then it isn't a good thing!” Just then the pillar of flames fades away and all of our heroes and heroines were wondering about what was going on.
(Later that day; In Duel Academy's harbor)
Sometime later that morning, we find a helicopter landing down on the helicopter pad on top of the warehouse in Duel Academy's harbor. The door of the helicopter opens and two people step out. And we find it is none other than Maxamillion Pegasus and Chumley Huffington coming out of the helicopter with serious looks on their faces. The two of them look towards the main building of the school facility with determined looks on their faces.
(Within Chancellor Sheppard's office; A short time soon after)
Inside of Chancellor Sheppard's office, we find Pegasus and Chumley standing in front of Chancellor Sheppard talking with him when the sliding doors open and Jaden bursts into the room.
Jaden exclaims, “Is it true?! Is Chumley really back?!” Chumley, Pegasus, and Sheppard turn to the source of the voice to see Jaden coming towards them.
Chumley yells out, excitedly, “Jaden! Give me some love!” Chumley puts Jaden into a big bear hug causing Jaden to lose air in his lungs.
Jaden chokes out, “Chumley . . . can't breathe . . .”
When Chumley releases Jaden for some air, Pegasus asks Sheppard, “And who is this?”
Chancellor Sheppard tells Pegasus, “This is Chumley's old roommate here in Duel Academy, Jaden Yuki.”
Pegasus exclaims, “Ah, so this is Jaden-boy!” Pegasus goes over to Jaden, shakes his hand, and says, “Chumley tells me that you are the cat's pajamas.”
Jaden asks, perplexed, “Huh?”
When Pegasus stops shaking Jaden's hand, Chancellor Sheppard says, “Jaden, this is Maxamillion Pegasus, owner of Industrial Illusions and creator of Duel Monsters.”
Jaden exclaims, excitedly, “Who would know him?!”
Pegasus tells Jaden, “It is an honor to meet you, Jaden-boy. I heard a lot of tales about you. Like how you saved the world from those nasty Sacred Beasts cards. Quite an accomplishment. Never seen or heard of anything so amazing since the adventures of Yugi-boy and his friends.”
Just then the sliding doors open and a familiar voice calls out, “I see you haven't changed one bit, Pegasus.” Everyone looks to the source of the voice to see Yugi, Atem, and their friends come into the room.
Pegasus exclaims, excitedly, “Yugi-boy! Pharaoh! How nice it is to see you, again?! And I see the years have been kind to you, Atem.”
Atem asks Pegasus, “Why are you here in Duel Academy Pegasus?”
Chancellor Sheppard then says, after clearing his throat, “The reason that they are here, Atem . . . is that a copy of your Winged Dragon of Ra kept in a safe in Industrial Illusions has been stolen.”
Everyone else, minus Pegasus and Chumley, gasp in shock and Yugi exclaims, “Industrial Illusions has another copy of the Winged Dragon of Ra?!”
Pegasus nods his head and says, solemnly, “Yes, an exactly duplicate of the original, including the ancient Egyptian chant necessary for summoning the Winged Dragon of Ra. It was only to be used for research purposes to discover more about them and to find if there was a way to create versions of them that would be safe for public use. However, all of our efforts have failed and now, one of our designers went rogue and stolen the card.”
Chumley then says, “Not only that, he stole my grilled cheese, too.”
Chancellor Sheppard says, plainly, “We believe that Winged Dragon of Ra copy is here on Duel Academy. Several students have told us of Ra related injuries.”
Jaden then remembers the pillar of flames and exclaims, “I saw it! And when it was played, Atem's deck acting weird! Atem said that the Winged Dragon of Ra in his deck was in some kind of pain!”
Pegasus gasps and says, in a serious tone, “That's it! That mean we were right! He's here and he has the card! We need to find him and stop him immediately!”
Joey tells Pegasus, “Didn't you learn your lesson from the first time that you created the Egyptian God cards?! Monsters like them can't be controlled unless you are a `Chosen Duelist' like Atem or Kaiba!”
Pegasus sighs and says, solemnly, “Yes, I know. I thought that I could better the game with these research, but it looks like my mistakes are still coming back to haunt me.”
Atem tells Pegasus, “What's done is done and this isn't your fault, Pegasus. I can tell that you are being honest and sincere in wanting to better the game, but Joey does have a point. Cards like my God Cards are not to be underestimated. If we do not find this `rogue card designer' and that card, he and this whole island are in danger.”
Chancellor Sheppard tells Atem, “Indeed, Atem. This is why I'm postponing the tournament until this designer and the Winged Dragon of Ra copy can be found.”
Yugi then says, “Atem, Pegasus, and I will go and find this designer and stop him. The three of us are the best bet to defeat the Winged Dragon of Ra copy. However, what worries me is that based on what you told us, this designer might have found a way to control the powers of the Winged Dragon of Ra even if you are not a duelist chosen by the gods.”
Joey tells Yugi, “Hey, Yug', if you are thinking that you are going in alone! Think again!”
Tristan tells Yugi, “We're a team and friends! And friends don't leave other friends hanging!”
Tea gives a wink with her right eye and replies, with a smile on her lips, “That's right!”
Atem smiles and replies, “Yugi and I would have it any other way.”
Chancellor Sheppard tells Jaden, “Jaden, I think that you should escort Chumley back to your dorm. He might like to meet your new friends.”
Jaden exclaims, with a smile, “Sure!” Jaden then tells Chumley, “Follow me!” Jaden and Chumley then walk past the sliding doors and head out towards the Slifer Red dorms.
With Jaden and Chumley gone, Yugi asks Pegasus, “Okay, Pegasus, where should we start?”
Pegasus says, in a plain tone, “Well, the card designer's name is Frantz and with the tournament on hold, he will want a duel and he will suspect that we know about him. And most likely, we will be going against the Ra copy.”
Atem nods his head in understanding and says, in a serious tone, “Let's go.”
(Inside of the Slifer Red dorms; Sometime soon after)
Within the portion of the Slifer Red dorms that Chazz redesigned before he was brainwashed, we find all of our heroes and heroines assembled together and discussing about what was happening on the island. With Serena's permission and Jaden's reassurance, the Sailor Scouts, Zodiac and Moon Kingdom, `revealed' themselves to Jaden's former roommate while Chumley and Jaden revealed about what was happening on the island at this time.
Jasmine says, in annoyance, “Oh man! As if we didn't have enough to worry about, we've got some wacko with a copy of the most powerful monster cards in existence making mischief!”
Atticus shrugs his shoulders and says, “Just another day saving the world.”
Chumley tells Jaden, “Man, Jaden! You and the others have got it rough! What this Sartorius character is doing so not-lishous.”
Syrus tells Chumley, “You're telling us, Chumley. By the way, want some grilled cheese?”
Chumley tells Syrus, “No way, Syrus! This isn't time, but if you have some bread, some cheese, and some . . .”
Tyranno yells out, a bit annoyed, “Check the fridge!”
Bastion asks Chumley, “Anyway, Chumley, how do you like at Industrial Illusions?”
Chumley tells Bastion, “It is so lishous, Bastion! I've already got a few more card designs out!”
Syrus exclaims, excitedly, “That's so awesome, Chumley!”
Ami tells Chumley, “You must meet a lot of different people in Industrial Illusions, Chumley.”
Chumley nods his head and says, “That's right, Ami. And they are good card designers themselves, but I think Jaden is a lot luckier than I am.”
Bastion asks Chumley, “Why is that Chumley?”
Chumley tells Bastion in reply, “You're kidding, right?! I mean any good duelist would give up their deck just to meet the Sailor Scouts in person! And Jasmine and Mindy are Scouts, too! I mean, this is really lishous! You, girls, are quite famous and a household name like Duel Monsters!”
Mina says, in a mock humble tone, “Oh, stop!”
Rei tells Mina, in her usual sarcastic tone, “Real humble, Mina.”
Syrus asks, plainly, “When since all of us are stuck here, why don't we duel? We can't use our duel disks indoors because of the space, but we can have an old-fashion duel. So, what do you say?”
Jaden then says, “Actually, I can't.”
Everyone looks at Jaden in surprise and Serena asks Jaden, surprised, “Why not, Jaden?”
Chumley exclaims, “Ah! You are going after the Winged Dragon of Ra?!”
Jaden nods his head and exclaims, “Ten-four!”
Everyone else gasps in shock and Rei exclaims, “Are you nuts, Jaden?! Don't you know that the Winged Dragon of Ra is among the most powerful monsters in Duel Monsters and that the Winged Dragon of the most powerful of the Egyptian God Cards?!”
Jaden nods his head and replies, “I know, but it sounds like a great challenge.”
Rei sighs and states, “Geez! You are just like Meatball Head, Jaden!”
Serena yells at Rei, annoyed, “What's that supposed to mean, Pyro?!” The two of them glare at each other dangerously and go into their typical `tongue matches'.
Mindy asks, curiously, “Do they always do that?”
Rini sighs and tells Mindy, “You know it.”
Chumley takes a Duel Monsters card out of his pocket, hands it to Jaden, and tells him, “If you are going after the Winged Dragon of Ra copy, then you should take this. It is a new card that I designed.” When Jaden takes the card and looks at it, Chumley tells him, “It is a new Field Spell designed for your deck. I know that it will come in handy.”
Jaden tells Chumley, with a smile, “Thanks, Chumley! You're the best!” Jaden then puts the card into his dueling deck and shuffles his deck before returning his deck to his duel disk, which is attached to his left arm.
Darien tells Jaden, “Plus, since Jadeite is still on the island and out to get you, Jaden, I think it is best that you take some of the scouts with you for your protection.”
Luna nods her head and says, “That's a good idea, Darien. Jadeite still wants Jaden's power and we need to make sure he and his power is protected. I think that Jasmine, Lita, Amara, and Michelle would be best for this job.”
Lita exclaims, excitedly, “Awesome! If Jadeite shows up, I get to kick his butt with my Eternal Sailor Senshi powers!”
Atriums says, plainly, “Let's hope it doesn't come to that, Lita.”
Hyperion asks Sol, “How is getting Sailor Taurus to aid us?”
Sol tells Hyperion, “Actually, she is one of the profession duelists on the island.”
Everyone gasps in shock and Mindy asks, stunned, “She's a profession duelist?!”
Sol nods her head and states, “Indeed, Mindy. Since Duel Monsters is the most popular world-wide sport, it is the best cover that we could have and needless to say, Taurus, also known as Trinity Ruston, is among the youngest profession duelists since she is as old as you and Jasmine are Mindy.”
Jasmine asks, curiously, “Then why she hasn't contacted us, yet?”
Sol replies, “I've put her on observation of the `White Dorm' ever since I've contacted her. She is secretly observing the members of the Society of Light and their headquarters in the former Obelisk Blue dorms. However, you need not worry about her safety. Like Jupiter, she is one of our `strong arm' scouts, but she is well-versed in military tactics since she comes from a military family including ninja and samurai training. So, she is well-versed in the ways of the ninja, the art of invisibility and concealment. I thought that it is best that she stay out of contact until the time is right.”
Hyperion asks Sol, “Why did you tell me of this?”
Sol replies, sarcastically and with a sly grin, “You didn't ask.”
Hyperion yells out, annoyed, “By the mighty hand of Ra, you know how I hate when you do this to me, Sol!”
Jaden then says, a bit nervously, “Anyway, I'll head out with Jasmine, Lita, Amara, and Michelle coming with me.”
Luna tells the four named girls, “And if you run into any trouble, don't hesitate to call for the rest of us. We will be waiting.”
Lita nods her head and exclaims, “Right!” Jaden, Lita, Amara, Michelle, and Jasmine then head out on their own mission to find the Winged Dragon of Ra copy and the rouge designer that took the card.
Serena thinks in her mind, “Be careful.” Just then a hand is put on her left shoulder and Serena looks to see Darien giving her a reassuring smile. Serena smiles back in reply since she knows that her beloved is cheering up and reassuring her that Jaden will be okay. However, Serena can't help to feel worried for Jaden like a sister would feel to her brother along with her three fellow Moon Kingdom Scouts and her new friend.
(Elsewhere on Academy Island; A short time soon after)
Within a clearing in the middle of the woods, we find Pegasus, with a duel disk that has a dueling deck inside, looking around for any signs of the rouge card designer that took the copy of the Winged Dragon of Ra card by himself. It was suggested that he look in one direction since he knows what Frantz looks like and Yugi, Atem, and the others look in other directions after Pegasus gave him a description of the rouge card designer.
As he was looking, a familiar male voice calls out to him, “Pegasus! Um . . . Mr. President!” When Pegasus looks to the source of the voice, he sees Jaden, Lita, Amara, Michelle, and Jasmine running towards them.
Pegasus asks, amazed, “Jaden-boy?” When Jaden and his four `bodyguards' come up to Pegasus, he asks, “What are doing here? And who are these fine young ladies with you?”
Jaden tells Pegasus, “I'm here to help out, Mr. President. And these are four of my friends. Lita Kino, Jasmine, Amara Ten'ou, the famous race car driver and one of our new teachers at our school, and Michelle Kaiou, a famous violist and another of the new teachers at the school.”
Pegasus tells them, “It is a pleasure to meet you. Well, I've heard a lot about you, Ms. Ten'ou. You are very well-known in all racing circuits.”
Michelle tells Pegasus, “And it is an honor to meet you, Mr. Pegasus.”
Amara asks Pegasus, curiously, “You seemed very determined to stop this guy. Why do you wish to stop him?”
Pegasus sighs and says, sitting down on a large rock, “To ensure that he doesn't a mistake that I or others did. This wasn't the first time that someone tried to use Ra copy. There was an incident several years ago that someone tried that and the Egyptian Gods considered the card on insult. And his punishment was that his soul was banished to the Shadow Realm.”
Jasmine says, shocked, “Whoa. Scary.”
Amara says, plainly, “So, you want to stop before something like that happens to him.”
Pegasus nods his head and says, “Indeed.”
Just then a male voice with a German accent calls out, “Well! Well! Hail to the Chief!” Everyone looks to the source to see a man with deep grey hair, glasses over his blue eyes, wearing a blue business shirt, black business pants, black business shoes, and a large grey trench coat over the shirt and pants with a duel disk attached to his left arm.
Pegasus exclaims to the man, “Frantz, have you gone out of your mind?!”
The man, Frantz, holds up the Winged Dragon of Ra copy, which included the ancient Egyptian text, and Jaden exclaims, “That must be the card!”
Pegasus yells out, in a demanding tone, “Return it at once!”
Frantz tells Pegasus, in a German accent, “Heir Pegasus, so we meet again. If you want this card, you will have to earn it.” Frantz then takes out a dueling deck, he puts the card on the top of the deck, he shuffles his deck, and inserts the deck into his duel disk. Frantz tells Pegasus, “As we always say, it is your move, my friend.”
Pegasus asks, in a plain tone, “So, it is a duel?”
Pegasus prepared to activate his duel disk when Jaden steps up and exclaims, “All right, let's throw down!”
Pegasus asks, shocked, “Jaden-boy?”
Jaden tells Frantz, “Stealing cards and making copies is just not cool, bro! Who do you think you are?!” Just then the spirit of Winged Kuriboh appears by his side and Jaden whispers to his spirit partner, lowly, “It's all okay, Kuriboh.”
Pegasus' eyes widen, also seeing the Duel Spirit, and thinks, “Amazing! Jaden-boy can see Duel Monster spirits and now, he is taking on an Egyptian God Card . . . just like my old pals, Yugi-boy and the Pharaoh.”
Frantz calls out, in a nasty tone, “Didn't they teach you about the God Cards in this school?! First, there's Obelisk the Tormentor. Next, there is Slifer the Sky Dragon and that card is especially vicious. But not as vicious as the Winged Dragon of Ra!”
Jaden tells Frantz, “Everyone knows about the Egyptian God Cards! Who doesn't know about the God Cards?! That's like Dueling one-o-one!”
Frantz tells Jaden, with an evil smirk, “We'll see how smart you really are, boy.” Jaden and Frantz activate their duel disks and they display 4000 life-points on each of the life-point counters on their duel disks.
Both duelists draw five cards from their decks and both of them yell out in unison, “Game on!”
Starting Scores:
Jaden: 4000
Frantz: 4000
Jaden draws one card from his deck and says, “Non-criminals go first, Frantz!” Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and exclaims, “Now, I start with Polymerization! Fusion Time!” Jaden discards his Elemental Hero Wildheart (1500/1600) monster card and Elemental Hero Necroshade (1600/1800) monster card to the graveyard, takes one fusion monster card from his fusion deck, and exclaims, while put the card on his duel disk, “So, I fuse my Wildheart and my Necroshade to summon Elemental Hero Necroid Shaman!” On the field, Elemental Hero Necroid Shaman (1900/1800) appears on the field in attack mode. Jaden takes another card from his hand and exclaims, “Next, it's time for Necroshade's special effect from the graveyard! Since he is in the grave, I can summon an Elemental Hero from my hand without a sacrifice! So, I play my Elemental Hero Neos in attack mode!” Jaden puts the card on his duel disk and Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000) comes to the field in attack mode.
Pegasus gasps in shock, not seeing Neos before, and exclaims, “He played Neos?! Did we ever produce that card, yet?!”
Jasmine tells Pegasus, “No, sir! There are only two cards like that one in the world! And Jaden is the holder of one of them!”
Pegasus says, amazed, “Unbelievable.”
Jaden thinks in his mind, “I can't let him play the Winged Dragon of Ra!” Jaden tells Frantz, “All right, your turn Frantz.”
Frantz then says, with a smirk, “Now, let the fun begin!” Frantz draws one card from his deck and a strong wind comes from his draw causing Jaden to be surprised and curious. Frantz then says, nastily, “Look at you! You are quivering like a school boy!”
Jaden replies, insulted, “Oh, please! No one is quivering here!”
Frantz puts one card on his duel disk and says, “You should be since I play Ra's Disciple!”
Jaden asks, perplexed, “Come again?” Just then Ra's Disciple (1100/800) appears on the field in attack mode.
Frantz then says, “When this card is successfully summoned to the field, I can put two more Disciples from my deck to my hand.” Frantz then goes through his deck, takes two cards from his deck, puts his deck back into his duel disk, and Frantz then puts another card from his hand into the spell/trap slots of his duel disk. Frantz then declares, “Next, I play my Trap Booster! By discarding one card from my hand, I can play a trap card from my hand!” Frantz discards one card from his hand, puts another card in the spell/trap slots, and exclaims, “And now, I play Ultimate Offering! By paying five hundred of my life-points, I can summon an additional monster to the field! And I choose my Ra's Disciple!” Frantz puts one card on his duel disk, his life-points drop by 500, and another Ra's Disciple (1100/800) appears on the field besides the first one. Frantz puts another card on his duel disk and exclaims, “And I use the same effect to summon a third one!” Another Ra's Disciple (1100/800) comes onto the field in attack mode and Frantz loses another 500 life-points.
Lita asks, perplexed, “What's the point of all that?”
Jaden then says, “Lita has got a point, Frantz! Why summon the same monster three times and they are all weaker than mine.” Jaden then gasps and says, realizing why Frantz did this, “Unless you are . . .”
Frantz tells Jaden, “Exactly my boy, these Disciples will be sacrifices!” Frantz loses another 500 life-points as three Disciple monsters vanish from the field as they are sacrificed and storm clouds appear in the sky.
Pegasus calls out, in a worried tone, “Jaden-boy, this is it!”
Frantz puts another card on his duel disk and chants out, in his German accent, “Almighty protector of the sun and sky, I beg of thee . . . please heed my cry . . . Unlock yourself from orb of light and bring me victory in this fight . . . Envelop the desert with your glow . . . and cast your light upon my foe . . . Unlock thy powers from deep within so that together we will win . . . I beseech thy, grace our humble game . . . when I call your name . . . COME FORTH, WINGED DRAGON OF RA . . .!!!” Just then descending from the skies and onto the ground, the Winged Dragon of Ra appears in front of them with a loud roar.
Jaden exclaims, amazed, “That's him! Ra!”
Frantz replies, with an evil laugh, “The one and only boy!”
The others were just as the amazed by the great Egyptian God and Lita exclaims, flabbergasted, “Oh shit! That monster is huge!”
Amara says Michelle, “Incredible, Michelle! The winds are quaking in fear of that monster!”
Michelle nods her head and says, “The seas as well Michelle! This isn't any ordinary monster!”
Just then a familiar male voice calls out, “Pegasus!” Everyone looks to the source of the voice to see none other than Yugi, Atem, and their friends arriving on the scene.
Yugi gasps in shock and exclaims, “It is the Winged Dragon of Ra!”
Atem asks Pegasus, “What's going on here, Pegasus?! Why is Jaden dueling against the Winged Dragon of Ra?!”
Pegasus tells Atem, “Jaden insisted that he dueled and Frantz just summoned the Winged Dragon of Ra using the copy of that card!”
Tea asks Atem, “Is there anything we can do?!”
Atem says, with a serious look and expression, “Not anymore, Tea! With the Winged Dragon of Ra summoned, there is nothing we can do! All of us are in mortal danger!”
(Back at the Slifer Red dorm; on the meanwhile)
Back at the Slifer Red dorms, we find all of our heroes and heroines inside of the Slifer Red dorms just outside of the dorms and looking up at the Winged Dragon of Ra in shock and horror.
Bastion exclaims, shocked, “Great Scott! Is that what I think it is?!”
Rini nods her head and exclaims, “It's the Winged Dragon of Ra! I remember it from all of the pictures that mommy and daddy showed me back home! It looks bigger in real life!”
Darien says, in a serious tone, “And knowing Jaden, he is already in the middle of a duel against it!”
Tyranno exclaims, “Man your battle stations!” Tyranno immediately rushes off towards the Winged Dragon of Ra, much to the rest of our heroes and heroines shock.
Chumley tells Tyranno, “This isn't the army, you know! If you go, you will get dragged into the Shadow Realm!”
Tyranno tells Chumley, “Jaden is part of my platoon now and friends don't leave others behind!” Tyranno then heads off towards where the Winged Dragon of Ra is hovering.
Syrus says, in a serious tone, “Hassleberry is right! Jaden needs our support!” Syrus then runs off after Hassleberry and the others, not needing any other words to be said, rush off towards the Winged Dragon of Ra.
Chumley yells out, “Do this have to involve running?!”
(Returning to the duel; a very brief time later)
Back to the duel, we find Jaden and his two Elemental Heroes, Neos and Necroid Shaman, facing off against the Winged Dragon of Ra with Yugi, Atem, Tea, their friends, Pegasus, Lita, Jasmine, Amara, and Michelle watching helplessly.
Frantz tells Jaden, “Do you know its attack points, smarty pants? Well, add the sum of the attack points of my three Disciples together?” The Winged Dragon of Ra's current stats are 3300/2400!
Atem yells out, seriously, “Stop this madness at once!”
Frantz then says, “Ah, the famous Yugi Moto and the Pharaoh who I heard so much about from the tales of the Shadow Games. It is an honor to meet you both.”
Yugi tells Frantz, “Do you know what you are doing, Frantz? This is power beyond your control.”
Pegasus says, in a serious tone, “Yugi-boy is right, Frantz! Only people like Atem, who were chosen by the gods can control this creature!”
Frantz tells Pegasus, with a sly smirk, “Not anymore, Heir Pegasus.”
Atem asks Frantz, “What's that supposed to mean?”
Frantz tells Atem, “You are about to find, Heir Atem. You see, I've studied all about the Egyptian Gods and the Shadow Games and I've done something that no else has done before: Tame the power of an Egyptian God!”
Yugi gasps in shock and exclaims, “Control an Egyptian God?! Impossible!”
Frantz exclaims, in a serious tone, “Wrong, Heir Yugi! Now, witness my work!” Frantz's Field Spell slot on his duel disk opens and exclaims, as he puts a card in the slot, “From my hand, I activate this Field Spell: Mound of the Bound Creator!” When the Field Spell slot closes, chains come from out of the ground in four places, wrap themselves around Ra's arms, neck, and body, and it roars as it struggles, but it can't break free!
Tristan shouts out, shocked, “What's going on here?! What is that?!”
Atem exclaims, horrified, “It's true! I don't know how, but he has created a card that can control an Egyptian God Monster even if you are not a chosen duelist.”
Atem's friends gasp in shock and Joey exclaims, stunned, “Are you kidding me, Atem?!”
Pegasus says, in a serious tone, “The Pharaoh is right. Frantz has created a card that can control an Egyptian God.”
Frantz tells Pegasus, with a dark sly grin on his lips, “That's right, my President. Now, the most powerful of the Egyptian Gods belongs to me.” Frantz then commands, “Now, my servant, strike him down with Blaze Cannon Blast!” The Winged Dragon of Ra gathers fiery energy into its mouth and launches it at Necroid Shaman, destroying it in a huge explosion costing Jaden 1400 life-points. Frantz then says, “Now, the Bound Creator's effect is activated. When a level ten monster destroys an opponent's monster in battle, he takes an additional four hundred life-points of damage.” Jaden's life-points then drop by 400 more life-points, thanks to Frantz's field spell. Frantz then says, “And that's all from me.”
Current Score:

Frantz: 2500
The Winged Dragon of Ra gives a mournful cry, Jaden and the others look up to see a tear from the Winged Dragon of Ra's right eye, and Jaden says, horrified, “He . . He's crying.”
Atem's anger was boiling inside seeing one of the faithful protectors of Egypt abused and controlled by Frantz, his right hand turns into a fist, and Yugi thinks in his mind, “Atem . . . I know that you are angry . . . The Winged Dragon of Ra . . . One of the faithful protectors of Egypt . . . is being used like a puppet for selfish and evil purposes . . . If I were you . . . I would be angry too . . .”
Tea tells Atem, “Atem . . .” When Atem looks at him, Tea tells Atem, in a reassuring tone, “I know how you feel. One of your faithful monster, one that protector your home so long ago, is now being used by that jerk for his own selfish purposes, but I know that Jaden will find a way to free Ra.”
Atem can't help to smile at Tea's reassuring smile and tone and says, plainly, “Thank you, Tea.”
Tea replies, with a smile, “You're welcome.”
Atem thinks in his mind, “But can Jaden defeat an Egyptian God . . . even with the power of the Moon Kingdom and Neo-Space aiding him? I wish that I could say for certain, but the duel is never over until the last point is gone, so, I know there is still hope.” Atem looks up at the Winged Dragon of Ra and thinks, “I wish that I could help you, my friend. My soul pains to see you being used like this, but I have faith that you will be set free.”
Jaden exclaims, shocked, “What have you done, Frantz?!”
Just then a familiar voice calls out, “Jaden!” Jaden looks to the source of the voice, they find the rest of Jaden's friends and allies are assembled with the others.
Lita asks, “What are the rest of you doing here?!”
Syrus tells Lita, “What do you think?!”
Tyranno calls out, “We are here to provide emotional support!”
Chumley exclaims, with a smile, “And it was all my idea!”
Rei tells Chumley, “Give it a rest, pal!”
Jaden tells his friend and allies, with a smile, “Well, thanks!” Jaden then turns back to Frantz as he draws one card from his deck and says, “And now, for you! I switch my Neos to defense mode!” Elemental Hero Neos switches from attack to defense mode, Jaden puts another card on the duel disk, and exclaims, “And I summon my Card Trooper! Also in defense mode!” Besides Elemental Hero Neos, Card Trooper (400/400) comes to the field in defense mode. Jaden says, with a smile, “That's all from me!”
Frantz draws one card from his deck, puts one card on his duel disk, and exclaims, “Now, I summon my Nubian Guard!” Out of the ground, Nubian Guard (500/500) appears on the field in attack mode. Frantz then commands, “Then Ra will attack again!” Ra fires another fiery blast at Neos, destroying it in a huge explosion, but since it was in defense mode, Jaden suffers no battle damage to his life-points. Frantz then says, “And thanks to my Bound Creator, you can bid goodbye to four hundred more of your life-points.” Jaden loses 400 more life-points from Frantz's Field Spell and Frantz then calls out, “Now, Nubian Guard, attack! Blitzkrieg Lance!” Nubian Guard destroys Card Trooper with one swipe of its lance, but it was in defense mode, so, Jaden's life-points are safe from battle damage.
Jaden then says, “Card Trooper's special ability activates! When he is destroyed in battle, I get another card!” Jaden draws another card from his deck into his hand.
Frantz then says, “That's all from me.”

Jaden then puts another card in the spell/trap slots and exclaims, “Then I play a spell! Ever hear of Burst Impact?! Well, when my Burstinatrix is in play when I activate this sweet spell, all monsters other than Burstinatrix are destroyed. But wait, you better hold on to your pants, Frantz, because my card also takes away three hundred life-points of your life-points for every monster destroyed!”
Frantz then says, “I what?” Just then a whole explosion engulfs the field, destroying Frantz's Nubian Guard, engulfing the Winged Dragon of Ra in smoke, and costing Frantz 300 life-points.
Syrus exclaims, excitedly, “Awesome!”
Tyranno yells out, “Jaden destroyed an Egyptian God!”
Joey tells Tyranno, seriously, “Wrong! Take another look!” When the smoke and dust from the explosion clear and allowing everyone to see, Syrus and Tyranno look up and are shocked to see the Winged Dragon of Ra still standing without a single scratch on its entire body.
Yugi then says, “Trap and spell, like Burst Impact, don't work on an Egyptian God.”
Mindy says, worriedly, “That's not good.”
Frantz chuckles darkly and he says, “It looks like you skipped a class, my boy.”
Jaden tells Frantz, a bit nervously, “I knew that I couldn't destroy Ra like that.” Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I play Damage Off-Zone! As long as this spell remains on the field, the battle damage that we take is cut in half!”
Current Score:
Jaden: 1800

Frantz says, with a dark mocking tone, “I've met little hot dogs that duel better than you, Mister Yuki.” Frantz draws one card from his deck and exclaims, “Now, thanks to Ra's special ability, by paying one thousand life-points, I can destroy every monster on your side of the field.” Frantz groans out as he loses 1000 life-points and Frantz calls out, “All right, Ra, incinerate them!” Ra breaks through the chains, transforms into its Phoenix Mode, and slams into ground causing a huge amount of flames that destroys Jaden's Burstinatrix.
Jaden calls out, shocked, “Burstinatrix!”
Frantz shouts out, darkly, “You see, my boy, when you play with Doctor Frantz . . . YOU PLAY WITH FIRE!!” Frantz laughs evilly as the flames to reveal Jaden's side of the field bare expect for his Continuous Spell card.
Jaden asks Frantz, “I don't get you, Frantz. Do you know how many kids at this school would love your job? And you throw it all away! Just for one card?!”
Frantz tells Jaden, “You don't know the whole story. And if you knew, you wouldn't be so quick to judge.” Frantz's expression then turns into one of anger and says, “And believe me, if you did know, you wouldn't want my job.”
Flashback; One of the offices of Industrial Illusions
We find a group of employees assembled around Chumley and Pegasus as Pegasus is making an announcement.
Pegasus tells his employees, “Everyone! I would like to give my personal congratulations to Chumley Huffington for designing, yet, another great card!” The employees assembled around him clap their hands as Chumley rubs his head with his right hand giving a look of embarrassment.
One employee says, excitedly, “The new guy does it again!”
Another employee says, also excitedly, “Yeah, if he keeps this up, he will make it to the top in no time!” On the meanwhile, hidden away in the cubicles, is none other than one very angry Frantz.
Flashback; Inside of Pegasus' office in Industrial Illusions
Within Pegasus' office, we find Frantz standing in front of Pegasus' deck slamming his right fist onto the owner of Industrial Illusions' desk.
Frantz roars out, angrily, “I've been working on cards for you for ten years! And now, I've submitted a card of my own and you dismiss it for some grilled cheese card?!”
Pegasus tells Frantz, calmly, “Your card designs rely too much on power alone. Times are changing and we are looking for some else now . . .”
End Flashback; Return to the Present
After everyone hears the story, Pegasus asks, stunned, “So, that's what this is all about?”
Frantz replies, in a serious tone, “Yah! It might seem insignificant to you, but it is my life! So, I know that only one way I can prove it to you was by showing you!” Frantz tells Pegasus, with a sly tone, “Admit it. You wished that you picked my card design.”
Pegasus smiles, shakes his head, and replies, “Not quite.”
Frantz yells out, shocked and annoyed, “What are you thinking?! Don't you see genius when you see it?!” Frantz then looks up at the chained Winged Dragon of Ra and exclaims, “All right, my little toy, it is time to show these fools our true power! Activate your secret ability!”
Jaden asks, stunned, “Secret ability?”
Atem exclaims, horrified, “Point to Point transfer!”
Jasmine asks Atem, “Point to Point transfer? What's that?”
Yugi says, explaining, “It allows the welder of the Winged Dragon of Ra to transfer their life-points into the Winged Dragon of Ra's attack and defense points. That ability is also known as `One Turn Kill'!”
Everyone gasps in shock and Serena calls out, “One Turn Kill?!”
Frantz roars out, “That's right! Now, I will keep one life-point for myself and the rest go to Ra!” Frantz's life-points drop down to one as his body becomes a sphere of light purple light that goes to the Winged Dragon of Ra's forehead. Frantz then appears connected to the Winged Dragon of Ra's forehead with violet smoking coming out of his body and his grey hair spiked like Yami Marik's hair. Frantz then calls out, “Now, you have to respect you little fools! I don't have an Egyptian God! I AM ONE!!!” The Winged Dragon of Ra's stats then go up from 3300/2400 to 4499/3599! Jaden and the others look on in shock and Frantz calls out, “Activate Blaze Cannon!” The Winged Dragon of Ra fires its attack right into Jaden and he screams out as he is slammed by the attack.
Syrus, Tyranno, Bastion, Jasmine, and Mindy call out in horror, “Jaden!”
Yugi, Atem, and Pegasus screams out, in a serious and horrified tone, “Stop this madness at once!”
As Jaden's form is engulfed in flames, he struggles to stay on his feet and Chumley calls out, “Stay strong!”
Frantz, fused with the Winged Dragon of Ra, yells out, “Welcome to your demise!”
Just then a slight blight glow comes from Jaden's forehead and he roars out, “Not this time, Frantz!” Jaden gives out a huge yell and the flames around him disperse, much to everyone's shock. Jaden's life-point drop from 1800 to 900, but he doesn't lose anymore and he remains standing.
Frantz exclaims, shocked, “He's still standing?! That's impossible!”
Jaden takes several deep breaths, the sight blight glow from his forehead, which isn't noticed by anyone else, fades away, and Jaden says, “My Damage Off-Zone has another effect. By cutting my life-points in half and getting rid of it, the damage to my life-points in battle is zero!” The hologram of the spell card fades away and Frantz gets really annoyed.
Frantz puts one card in the spell/trap slots and exclaims, “You are just stalling! I end with this!”
Current Score:
Jaden: 900
Frantz: 1
Jaden draws one card from his deck and says, “You won't get away with this, Frantz!” When Jaden looks at the card he drew, he exclaims, excitedly, “Hey, Chumley, I just drew your card!”
Everyone then looks at Chumley and he exclaims, excitedly, “Lishous!”
Jaden then displays Chumley's card, showing a spell card with the picture of a futuristic city on it, and exclaims, “Now, I play the new Field Spell: Skyscraper Two: Hero City!” Just then the ground erupts in a bright glow as the field transforms into a huge futuristic city, the card somehow transfers into Jaden's Field Spell slot, and Jaden calls out to Ra, “Hey, Ra, since there is a new Field Spell on the field, you're free! Bound Creator has no effect!” Just then the chains around the Winged Dragon of Ra break apart, setting it free, and it gives out a mighty roar.
Frantz exclaims, in disbelief, “Impossible!”
Jaden then shouts out, “Next, Hero City's effect activates! I can bring back an Elemental Hero destroyed in battle despite any and all summoning requirements! So, come on back, Neos!” Jaden's graveyard gives off a bright light and Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000) returns to the field in attack mode. Jaden then puts another card on his duel disk and exclaims, “Next, from my hand, I summon Neo-Spacian Glow Moss in attack mode!” Besides Elemental Hero Neos, Neo-Spacian Glow Moss (300/900) comes to the field in attack mode. Jaden then tells Frantz, “When Glow Moss is sent into battle, you have to flip the top card of your deck! What Glow Moss does next depends on the card.” Frantz draws the top card from his deck and Jaden exclaims, “Activate Signal Check!” Three orbs, one green, one yellow, and one red, appear in Glow Moss's hands and begin to glow. Frantz displays the spell card Monster Reborn and Jaden exclaims, excitedly, “It's a spell card! So, that means Glow Moss can attack your directly!”
Syrus exclaims, excitedly, “Awesome! He only has one life-point left!”
Tyranno says, “That means this battle is over!”
Frantz calls out, “I don't think so! I play De-Fusion!” Just then Frantz's face-down is revealed to be De-Fusion, Frantz's separates from the Winged Dragon of Ra, reducing it stats to zero, and Frantz returns to his side of the field causing his life-points to rise to 4500 while the Winged Dragon of Ra crashes to the ground from the extreme power loss.
Everyone in shock about this turn of events and Atem exclaims, angrily, “How could you do that?!”
Jaden tells Frantz, “Atem's right! How could you let the Winged Dragon of Ra take the fall? Out of the villains that I've battled so far, you are the worst! I mean, you steal, hurt others with a counterfeit card, and now, you disgrace Ra like that! What kind of person are you, dude?”
Frantz then says, with an evil grin, “Ha. This dragon is nothing, boy. I am the real Egyptian God.”
Mindy says, plainly, “Okay, he has gone nuts.”
Mina nods her head and says, “You said it girl.”
Atem says, with sight huff, “Hardly.”
Jaden says, in his usual tone, “Yeah, right. You are some poser that couldn't take losing to the new guy.”
Frantz roars out, angrily, “Oh, yea!”
Jaden tells the Winged Dragon of Ra, “Sorry about this, Ra. But don't worry, you'll be back.” Jaden then commands, “Glow Moss, attack Winged Dragon of Ra! Spore Spear!” Glow Moss creates a spear in his right hand, launches it at the Winged Dragon of Ra, it hits its forehead, and the Winged Dragon of Ra vanishes causing Frantz 300 life-points are damage. Jaden then calls out, “Now, a direct attack by Neos!” Neos leaps in and gives Frantz a powerful karate chop causing him to stumble back while his life-points dropped by 2500. Jaden roars out, “It's over, Frantz!”
Frantz growls out, angrily, “Not yet.” Frantz thinks in his mind, “I have Monster Reborn in my hand. So, I can revive Ra.”
Jaden puts the final card in his hand into the spell/trap slots and he calls out, “My turn is not done! From my hand, I play this: The Quick Spell: Necro Illusion! With this spell card, I can summon one monster from your graveyard that was destroyed in battle this turn and summon it to my side of the field!”
Frantz calls out, horrified, “No! I'm ruined!”
Michelle asks, knowing what Jaden is going to do, “Do you think that he is . . .?”
Trista nods her head and says, in a plain tone, “Yes, he is. He is going to use the power of the Egyptian Gods.”
Darien exclaims, shocked, “Jaden can't use that card?! Can he?”
Jaden shouts out, “It serves you right, Frantz! Winged Dragon of Ra, come on back!” Just then the Winged Dragon of Ra (0/0) appears on Jaden's side of the field in attack mode.
Frantz calls out, horrified, “You fool! You can't control the God Card! You don't have Mound of the Bound Creator!”
Jaden tells Frantz, “I don't need chains on my monsters to fight with them!” Jaden looks at the Winged Dragon of Ra and says, with a smile, “Right, Ra?!” The Winged Dragon of Ra roars and then he and Jaden are engulfed in slight golden glows.
Mindy asks, perplexed, “Why is Jaden and the Winged Dragon of Ra glowing?”
Bastion gasp in shock and exclaims, “Could it be possible?!”
Tristan asks, stunned, “What's going on here?”
Yugi exclaims, “I don't know how, but Jaden is one of the duelists chosen by the Egyptian Gods!” Everyone, expect for Trista and Atem, look at Yugi in shock.
Jaden then calls out, “I give up all but one of my life-points! The rest go to Ra!” Jaden's life-points drop down to one point and the Winged Dragon of Ra's stats increase from 0/0 to 899/899! Jaden looks at Neos and Glow Moss and exclaims, “Neos! Glow Moss! Let's do this!” Neos and Glow Moss nod their heads in agreement with Jaden and Jaden calls out, “I sacrifice Neos and Glow Moss and add their attack points to Ra!” Neos and Glow Moss vanishes from the field and their stats transfer to the Winged Dragon of Ra giving it 3699/3799! Jaden then points to Frantz and exclaims, “Now, Winged Dragon of Ra, attack! Blaze Cannon Blast!” The Winged Dragon of Ra fires a sphere of intense flames right at Frantz and he screams out as he loses 3699 life-points in one attack causing him to lose the duel immediately. Frantz drops to his knees and three GX medals fall to the ground in front of him.
Syrus exclaims, excitedly, “You did it, Jaden!” The hologram of Jaden's new Field Spell fades away, but Jaden looks to see the Winged Dragon of Ra still behind him.
Jaden tells the Winged Dragon of Ra, through some kind of telepathy, however, Jaden didn't know this, “It was an honor to meet you, Ra!” The Winged Dragon of Ra gives out a roar as if to say `Thank you' and then it fades away and Jaden says, lowly, “You're welcome.” Jaden then goes over to Frantz, collects the three GX medals, and the others come over, amazed at Jaden's last move.
Joey asks Yugi, in a whisper, “Hey, Yug, I thought that only people like the Pharaoh and Marik have the ability to control the Egyptian Gods. How come the Winged Dragon of Ra obeyed Jaden without a single thought?”
Yugi tells Joey, lowly, “I already said that Jaden was somehow a duelist chosen by the Egyptian Gods. It is the only explanation why Ra would obey Jaden without question.”
Tea asks Yugi, lowly, “But how? I thought that you would have to a connection to the Millennium Items or Atem's past in order for Jaden to be a chosen duelist. Do you think it is possible that Jaden has a connection with Atem?”
Yugi looks at Atem and thinks in his mind, “I believe that Tea has a point. Since Atem has his memories back, I think that he knows something about Jaden that we don't!”
Hotaru asks Trista, “Trista-mama, how was Jaden-senpai able to use the Egyptian God Monster so easily?”
Amara asks Trista, whispering, “Unless there is something about Jaden that you know that we don't.” Trista becomes really nervous, through she doesn't show it, but Amara looks into Trista's eyes and she knew. Amara tells Trista, in a whisper, “Whatever it is about Jaden that you know, you are putting him and us in danger by not telling us.”
Trista tells Amara, in a whisper, “I'm sorry, Amara. You know what rules I am bound by.”
Amara tells Trista, in a whisper and serious tone, “Those `rules' won't matter if the future is destroyed by Sartorius. And whatever secrets about him you are keeping from us and from him, is making it harder to do our duties.”
Meanwhile, Pegasus is kneeling in front of Frantz with the Winged Dragon of Ra copy in his hand and Pegasus tells Frantz, “A great loss came make you humble and humility is a quality in a great card designer.” Pegasus then shows Frantz where his Millennium Eye was and the damage it caused. Frantz gasps in shock and Pegasus tells Frantz, “Believe me, I've been there, too. And what doesn't destroy us, makes us stronger.”
Frantz asks Pegasus, “You mean . . .?”
Pegasus tells Frantz, reassuringly, “Yes. I'm looking forward to your next new card.”
Frantz tells Pegasus, weakly and thankfully, “Thank you.”
(In the middle of the afternoon; at Duel Academy Harbor)
At the helicopter pad in Duel Academy harbor, we find Jaden, Syrus, Tyranno, Bastion, and Blair waving Chumley good-bye as he, Pegasus, and Frantz headed back to Industrial Illusions.
Jaden takes out his new Field Spell given to him by Chumley, Skyscraper II: Hero City, and thinks as he looks at it, “I actually battled an Egyptian God, but could I have won without Chumley's card? Oh, well. I guess I will never know.”
Blair asks Jaden, “Is there something wrong, Jaden-senpai?”
Jaden tells Blair, with his usual smile, “Nothing! It is just so cool to have Chumley back with us!” Jaden waves up towards the helicopter and exclaims, “Keep on trucking, Chumley!”
Tyranno yells out, “How long are we going to be here?! I'm hungry!”
(Around the same time; Elsewhere on Academy Island)
In another portion of Academy Island, we find Serena, Ami, Rei, and Mina walking across some kind of pathway besides a tall plateau and we find Serena rushing off, which is a bit unusual for our Moon Princess.
Serena exclaims, “Come on, slowpokes! Move it already!”
Ami tells Serena, “Wow, Serena! I never seen you excited about anything before!”
Serena says, “That whole `Ra' incident cut down into some good tournament time and now, I have to play catch up with Jaden! He already has eight medals with him, thanks to his duels with Jaden and Frantz, and I only have three!”
Mina says, with a sly grin, “Guess that means I'm better than you!” Mina then displays four GX medals from her sub-space pocket.
Serena yells out, shocked, “You've got four medals, Mina?!”
Mina smiles and says, “You know it, girlfriend!”
Serena moans out, annoyed, “Oh, man! I'll never win at this rate!”
Rei tells Serena, “Oh, calm down, Meatball Head! Personally, I'm surprised that you made it this far with Darien holding you hand!”
Serena calls out, annoyed, “Hey, watch it, Pyro!”
Rei holds up her duel disk and replies, with a sly grin, “Going to make me?”
Serena holds up her duel disk and exclaims, “Yeah! Maybe I should knock you out of the tournament right now!”
Ami tells Rei and Serena, with a sigh, “Rei! Serena! Not again!” Before Serena and Rei can activate their duel disks, cherry blossoms start to fall all around them.
Mina asks, shocked, “Cherry Blossoms?”
Just then a male voice calls out, “This is my grand entrance ladies!” Everyone looks up to the source of the voice, they find a man in white, red, and black make-up used by a Japanese Kabuki actors, wearing a yellow kimono used by Kabuki actors, and pure white hair with a ponytail that extends nearly to the ground.
Rei asks, curiously, “Who in the world is that?”
Ami gasps and exclaims, “I know him! His name is Orlando! He was Broadway actor that became a profession duelist!”
Mina asks, amazed, “He's a pro?!”
The young man, Orlando, exclaims, “I am a household man! What kind of rock you've been living under?!”
Rei yells out, annoyed, “Hey, watch it!”
Orlando calls out, seriously, “A little respect! Like your friend said, I am the only Broadway actor turned duelist in the world!”
Mina says, “Well, I'm trying to be a pop star duelist.”
Rei goes over to Serena, pushes her forward, and Rei exclaims, “You first!”
Serena calls out, shocked, “What?!”
Orlando looks at Serena and says, “You! With the strange odango pigtails, what's your stage name?”
Serena replies, a bit nervously, “Um . . . My name is Serena Tsukino, but Serena, I guess?”
Orlando says, “Ah. Your name means `calm of the moon'. Interesting. Well, Serena, you get the honor of dueling me in a duel!”
Serena exclaims, perplexed, “Huh?!”
Rei tells Serena, “Good luck, Meatball Head!”
Serena tells Rei, “Thanks a lot.” Serena then shrugs her shoulders and says, “Oh, well. A duel is a duel, I guess. So, in the words of one of my friends: `Ready to get your game on?'”
Orlando tells Serena, “Nice opening line, I've got to admit. By the way, how about some eye-liner to enhance those beautiful eyebrows of yours or anything for any blemishes? If I am to duel a beautiful maiden such as yourself, you should look equisetic . . . for your defeat of course.”
Serena blushes in embarrassment at the `beautiful maiden' comment and says, “Uh . . . No thanks.”
Mina tells Serena, “Oh . . . It looks like Serena is getting the `attention' of a famous pro duelist.”
Serena yells at Mina, annoyed, “Cut it out, Mina!”
(On top of the plateau; A short time soon after)
On the top of the plateau, we find Serena and Orlando inserting their dueling deck, after they were shuffled, into their duel disk and preparing to start their duel.
Mina asks Rei and Ami, “Do you think that Serena has a chance against this guy?”
Ami tells Mina, “I hope so, Mina.”
Rei then states, “Well, I would hate for Serena to lose to a guy dressed like that . . . even if she is a bit of a clown herself.”
Serena yells out at Rei, annoyed, “Thanks a lot, Rei!” Serena tells Rei, Ami, and Mina, “Anyway, don't worry about it! If you guys keep worrying about the ending, you'll miss the rest of the duel! I've got to say that I'm like Jaden! I'm dueling to have fun and improve my skills!”
Orlando asks Serena, “You duel to have a good time?”
Serena replies, with a smile, “Yep! That's the way that I duel!”
Orlando then says, “But dueling is about art, not about fun!” Serena gives a perplexed look and Orlando says, “Wait until I take the stage and show you what I mean!”
Serena tells Orlando, “Fine by me! Let's duel!” Serena and Orlando activate their duel disks, draw five cards from their decks, and prepare to begin their duel.
Starting Scores:
Orlando: 4000
Serena: 4000
Mina, Rei, and Ami spot Crowler and Bonaparte on a small hill attached to the plateau sitting down on a picnic blanket with Crowler sipping tea from a tea cup and Mina asks, curiously, “Isn't that Crowler and Bonaparte over there?”
Rei says, annoyed, “Figures that we see those goofballs around here.”
Bonaparte says, in a plain tone, in his French accent, “My friends are not going to believe this.”
Crowler says, in an excited tone, “This is such a treat! Free seats to an Orlando show!”
Orlando calls out, as he draws one card from his deck, “Great ready, everyone! The show is about to begin!” When Orlando looks at the card he drew, he smiles and says, “My friends, William Shakespeare said that the world is stage.” The Field Spell slot on Orlando's duel disk opens, he puts a card in the duel disk, and Orlando calls out, “Now, welcome to my world! Kabuki Stage-Big Bridge!” After the field spell slot on Orlando's duel disk closes, the whole field is covered in smoke and when the smoke clears, the dueling field has been transformed into Kabuki stage with the background scenery as a big bridge with a clear blue sky expect a small white cloud in the background.
Serena asks, surprised, “What does it do?”
Orlando gives a slight chuckle and states, “What does it do? It's the set! It establishes the first scene! Exterior wooden bridge on a summer's morn.”
Crowler exclaims, excitedly, “What a show! Bravo!”
Bonaparte says, excitedly, “Isn't he inspiring? I should go back to acting.”
Ami, Mina, and Rei sweatdrop at this and Rei says, annoyed, “Oh, brother! Just what we needed: Orlando's fan club! I mean come on, who would want to pay to see this hack?!”
Mina tells Rei, “I don't know, Rei. He is pretty good.”
Rei exclaims, in disbelief, “Mina, I can't believe you! We're on Serena's side!”
Orlando puts one card on his duel disk and states, “Now, entering stage right, it's the one, the only, Yoshitsune, the Goblin of Beauty!” Soon after, Yoshitsune, the Goblin of Beauty (800/800) appears on the field in attack mode. Orlando tells Serena, “End scene.”
Serena then draws one card from her deck and says, “Interesting, but what's a story like this without a hero?” Serena puts one card on her duel disk and calls out, “How about Elemental Hero Burstinatrix?!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Burstinatrix (1200/800) appears on the field in attack mode. Serena then calls out, “Now, attack his goblin! Flare Storm!” Elemental Hero Burstinatrix then launches a wave of flames right at Yoshitsune.
Orlando then calls out, “There's a plot twist! Your hero has over one thousand attack points, so, my goblin switches to defense mode!” Yoshitsune then switches from attack to defense mode.
Serena then says, “So, what? My hero is still stronger and is going to kick her butt.”
Orlando then says, “Expect that my lovely Yoshitsune has a special ability that allows her to escape damage from an attack if she is in defense mode. So, she will make it to the next scene after all.” Yoshitsune then leaps over Burstinatrix's attack and returns to her position on the field in defense mode. Orlando calls out, “And that's nothing! I'm the owner of the stage and it gives me some perks! Like introducing a new character to the stage!” Orlando puts one card on his duel disk and calls out, “Meet Armed Samurai-Ben Kei!” A trap door opens on the stage and from the trap door, Armed Samurai-Ben Kei (500/800) comes to the field in attack mode. Orlando then says, “With a new leading character on the stage, the plot is about to thicken.”
Serena asks in her mind, perplexed, “What the? This guy summoned another monster weaker than mine? What is his strategy?” Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I'll end with a face-down!”
Orlando then draws one card from his deck and calls out, “Places everyone! Act two is about to begin!” Orlando looks at the new card and shouts out, “Switch Goblin into attack mode!” Yoshitsune then switches from defense mode to attack mode, Orlando then puts a card in the spell/trap slots, and calls out, “Next, I activate the Equip Spell, Sohei Halberd! And I equip it to my Ben Kei!” Ben Kei is given the Halberd and its stats increase from 500/800 to 1000/800! Orlando then states, as he puts another card in the spell/trap slots, “Now, it is time for some role reversal. Because I play the spell card: Dramatic Pose!”
Serena asks, confused, “What does that do?!”
Orlando says, plainly, “What it does that it takes away five hundred attack points from your Elemental Hero and gives it to my Goblin and Ben Kei!” Yoshitsune's stats then increase from 800/800 to 1300/800, Ben Kei's stats increase from 1000/800 to 1500/800, and Burstinatrix's stats decrease from 1200/800 to 700/800!
Serena says, drolly, “I had to ask.”
Orlando then calls out, “Now, Ben Kei, attack her Burstinatrix!” Ben Kei leaps into the air, slices Burstinatrix in half, and she explodes as Serena loses 800 life-points in one shot. Orlando calls out, “Your side of the stage is empty!”
Serena calls out, “Not for long! Thanks to your field spell, I can summon a new monster from my hand when one of mine is in a battle!” Serena puts one card on her duel disk and exclaims, “Now, I summon my Elemental Hero Cosmic Mercury to the field in defense mode!” Soon after, a new Duel Monster that looks similar to Sailor Mercury, in her first form, expect her tiara is silver, her bows were aqua-marine blue, and her skirt was ice-blue in color. Elemental Hero Cosmic Mercury had stats of 1400/1900!
Orlando tells Serena, “Sorry, my young maiden, but all monsters must be summoned to the field in attack mode.”
Serena yells out, shocked, “What?!”
Bonaparte says, “What a major goof.”
Crowler says, nodding his head, “Yes, it is. I guess that Serena missed the dress rehearsal. Ah, the unpredictability of life-theater.”
Serena tells Orlando, nervously, “Um . . . Could you tell me of any other surprises that come up? Because I'm not good at this `dueling theater' thing.”
Rei slaps her forehead and says, “Way to go, Meatball Head.”
Mina tells Ami, “Maybe we should take Serena to some shows.”
Orlando yells at Ami, Rei, and Mina, “No audience participation!”
Mina exclaims, insulted, “All right! Touché!”
Ami nods her head and says, “I agree, Mina.” Soon after, Elemental Hero Cosmic Mercury is switched to attack mode.
Orlando then calls out, “I'm afraid things are going to get worse for you, my young maiden! Thanks to my spell and Ben Kai's special ability, he gets to come in for a second performance!” Ben Kei then rushes in to destroy Elemental Hero Cosmic Mercury.
Serena shouts out, in a serious tone, “I don't think so pal! I activate my trap! Sailor Crisis Power!” Just then Serena's face-down card is revealed to be a trap with the picture of Sailor Moon holding the Purity Chalice in her hands as the Purity Chalice gives off a bright glow.
Orlando shouts out, shocked, “What?! This wasn't in the script!”
Serena tells Orlando, with a sly grin, “I just rewrite the script, Orlando! Thanks to this trap, when an Elemental Hero with the word `Cosmic' is attacked, I can send that girl to the grave to summon her more powerful form! As long as I give up five hundred life-points, however!” Serena's life-points drop by 500, Serena sends her Cosmic Mercury card to the graveyard, goes through her deck, takes a card from her duel disk, puts her deck and exclaims, as she puts the card on her duel disk, “Now, meet Elemental Hero Star Mercury in attack mode!” Soon after, a Duel Monster looking similar to Super Sailor Mercury appears on the field expect with a silver tiara that has an ice-blue jewel in the center of the tiara, her bows are aqua-marine blue, and her skirt is ice-blue in color. Elemental Hero Star Mercury has stats of 2300/2800! Serena then says, “Plus, Star Mercury has a few special abilities! Including the ability to allow me to draw one extra card from my deck when she is summoned to the field!” Serena then draws one card from her deck and calls out, “Okay, girlfriend, destroy Ben Kei, with Shine Aqua Illusion!” Elemental Hero Star Mercury launches a wave of freezing water at the attacking Ben Kei, the attack hits, Orlando loses 800 life-points, but Ben Kei isn't destroyed and his spear breaks. Serena yells out, shocked, “Wait a minute! Why wasn't your monster destroyed?!”
Orlando tells Serena, with a sly grin on his lips, “Remember my Halberd spell? Well, it protected my Ben Kei from harm! Plus, my spell has another trick in its repertoire! When it is destroyed, you lose five hundred life-points!” Serena looks up and yells out as the blade from the Halberd slams into her, costing her 500 more life-points.
Ami, Rei, and Mina gasp in shock and Ami calls out, shocked, “Serena!”
Orlando tells Serena, “You see, my dear, just when you think I'm done, I do something to out perform even myself!”
Crowler and Bonaparte call out in unison, “Encore! Encore!”
Serena thinks in her mind, annoyed, “Oh, brother!”
Orlando then shouts out, “Thank you! You are too kind!” Orlando asks Serena, “Serena, do you want to know why they love me?”
Serena tells Orlando, plainly, “Not really.”
Orlando tells Serena, “Because to me, dueling is about beauty and grace! Allow me to demonstrate.” Orlando discards his Field Spell card into the graveyard pile, takes another card from his dueling deck, puts the card in the field spell slot, and exclaims, “Now, I shall dismantle my stage and establish a new scene. The time is mid-afternoon and the place is Kabuki Stage-Cherry Blossom Mountain!” When the Field Spell slot closes, another large mountain of smoke and the scene in the background of the Kabuki stage has changed from a bridge into a large tree with cherry blossoms on it. Orlando then states, “Ladies and gentlemen! I would advise you to stay in your seats because the next act is about to begin! It stars a young girl. You know her from stories such as `Duelists on the Roof' and `Deck Side Story'.” Orlando puts one card on the duel disk and shouts out, “Meet Shizuka the Heavenly Dancer!” Soon after, Shizuka the Heavenly Dancer (300/600) comes to the field in attack mode. Orlando puts the last card on his duel disk in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I activate the spell, New Year's Drum, and equip it to my Shizuka!”
Mina asks Ami, “What does that do?”
Ami tells Mina, “I wish that I knew Mina.”
Mina exclaims, shocked, “What?! There is something that you don't know!”
Rei tells Mina, annoyed, “This isn't the time, Mina! Serena needs our support!”
Mina says, weakly, “Sorry.”
Orlando then says, “And as this scene comes to an end, I should remind you that the effect of my Dramatic Pose also ends.” Yoshitsune's stats return back to 800/800 and Ben Kei's stats drop down to 500/800. Just then Elemental Hero Star Mercury falls down to her knees and her stats decrease to 1150/1400, surprising practically everyone.
Rei exclaims, shocked, “What just happened?!”
Serena says, solemnly, “My Sailor Crisis Power trap card has a major drawback. If used to summon one of my Star Heroes, at the end of the turn that it is used, that monster's stats get cut in half.”
Mina says, plainly, “Ouch. Now, that's a real drawback.”
Current Score:
Orlando: 3200
Serena: 2200
Serena thinks in her mind, “No joke, Mina! I just hope that I've got better luck in this scene!” Serena draws one card from her deck and calls out, “Okay, since my turn has begun and Mercury was in a battle, her ability activates! Now, I can summon her ultimate form!” Serena discards her Elemental Hero Star Mercury card to the graveyard, goes through her deck, takes out one card, puts her deck back in her duel disk, and says, when she puts the card on her duel disk, “So, I play my Elemental Hero Eternal Mercury in attack mode!” Just then Star Mercury is replaced by a monster that looks like Eternal Sailor Mercury expect her wings are bright silver, the bow on the rear of her skirt is ice-blue, her skirt is aqua-marine blue, and her lips are ice-blue as well. This card allows me to draw two more cards from my deck!” Serena draws two more cards from her deck, Serena puts another card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Next, I play the spell card known as The Warrior Returning Alive! This card allows me to bring one Warrior-type monster from my graveyard to my hand! And I choose my Burstinatrix!” Elemental Hero Burstinatrix monster card returns from the graveyard, Serena puts it into her hand, Serena puts another card into the spell/trap slots, and calls out, “Now, I play my Polymerization! Serena then calls out, “Flame Wingman, attack!” But as soon as she says those words, the whole field becomes engulfed in a wind stormed filled with cherry blossom petals. Serena shouts out, perplexed, “What the? What with all the freaky cherry petals?!”
Orlando laughs and exclaims, “It is my field spell's special effect! This is the card that made me famous! It negates the attack of your Flame Wingman and allows me to choose its target!”
Serena yells out, stunned, “What?!” Flame Wingman then leaps into the swirl of cherry blossom petals and Serena calls out, “Hold on a second! Come back!”
Orlando tells Serena, “Too late! The target for your Flame Wingman is Shizuka!” Out of the swirl of the cherry blossom petals, Shizuka appears in front of Flame Wingman and he prepares to attack her. Orlando tells Serena, “By the way, did you know there is something about Shizuka when she is attacked?”
Serena says, a bit annoyed, “Let me guess: A special ability!”
Orlando tells Serena, “Correct, my young actress in training! When Shizuka is attacked, she gives six hundred extra life-points!” Orlando's life-points then increase by 600 more points, thanks to Shizuka's special ability. Orlando then calls out, “Next, my New Year's Drum comes into play! This allows me to summon one Battle Claw Fox from my deck and make her your new target!” One card comes out of Orlando's deck, Orlando puts the card on his duel disk, and Battle Claw Fox (ATK: 800) comes to the field in attack mode.
Serena shouts out, “Big mistake, `Mister Actor'! My hunky Wingman is a lot more powerful than your overgrown fox, so, I will drop her like Haruna-sensei's English class! Attack with Inferno Rage!” Flame Wingman fires a beam of heat energy from its dragon head right hand and destroys Battle Claw Fox in a huge explosion causing Orlando to lose 1300 life-points. Serena then says, with a wide grin, “But that's not all folks! My Flame Wingman has an awesome super-power! Now, you lose life-points to your destroyed monsters attack points!” Flame Wingman goes over to Orlando, points his dragon head right hand at him, and Orlando screams out in pain as he loses 800 more life-points.
Mina exclaims, excitedly, “All right, Serena! That's the way to play the game!”
Serena tells Orlando, with a confident smirk, “How's that?”
Orlando tells Serena, with a sly grin, “Sorry, but my Claw Fox also has a twist of her own! Any monster that battles with her is destroyed at the end of your turn!”
Serena says, shocked, “No way.” Just then a shadow image of Claw Fox appears behind Flame Wingman.
Crowler states, amazed, “Wow. He knew that he would destroy Flame Wingman. What an actor.”
Bonaparte sheds a few tears from his eyes and says, “I think that I'm going to cry. He is such an excellent performer.”
Rei growls in annoyance and states, “Oh, brother! What a bunch of fan boys!” Rei yells at Serena, annoyed, “You had better not lose to him, Serena! Or I will kick your butt myself!”
Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I wouldn't have it any other way! Now, I play De-Fusion! I split Flame Wingman into Avian and Burstinatrix!” Flame Wingman glows as he vanishes from the field as Elemental Hero Avian (1000/1000) and Elemental Hero Burstinatrix (1200/800) return to the field in attack mode. Serena then calls out, “Burstinatrix, attack!” As the swirl of the cherry blossoms appear on the field, Serena shouts out, “Okay, so, who will be here target!”
Elemental Hero Burstinatrix then rushes in to attack and Orlando replies, “Shizuka, of course.” When the petals fade away, Elemental Hero Burstinatrix is facing off against Shizuka. Orlando then says, “You know what happens next, don't you? Orlando calls out, “He will face Ben Kei!” Elemental Hero Avian's opponent is revealed to be Ben Kei, the samurai attacks him, but he dodge and destroys the monster, costing Orlando 500 more life-points.
Serena thinks in her mind, “I can't send in Mercury in there! He might send Mercury against Shizuka, but he will most likely send her against that Goblin of his. When Mercury attacks, that Goblin will switch into defense mode and she then can avoid my attack, thanks to its ability!” Serena puts two cards in the spell/trap slots and says, “I will end my turn with two face-downs!”
Orlando then calls out, “Burstinatrix, exit stage left!” The dark shadow of Claw Fox appears behind Burstinatrix and she shatters apart as she is destroyed by Claw Fox's effect.
Current Score:
Orlando: 1400

Mina says, perplexed, “She could have attacked one more time!”
Rei tells Mina, “Hello, Mina! With that field spell, he would have diverted her last Elemental Hero against that Goblin of his, the Goblin would have switched into defense mode, since her Eternal Mercury has way over one thousand attack points, and then thanks to its special effect, it would have been able to avoid that attack!”
Mina says, nervously, “Oh, right.”
Rei asks Mina, “How did you get four medals again, Mina?”
Orlando draws one card from his deck, puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and calls out, “Now, I play my Pot of Greed! So, I draw two more cards from my deck!” Orlando draws two more cards, puts them into his hand, and says, with a wide smile, “Now, my friends, we come to the point in our show that the setting changes once again.”

Orlando then says, “It is still Avian's final performance! So, take a bow!” Genghis Khan launches its attack, destroys Serena's Avian, and she loses 1300 life-points from the attack.
Serena calls out, “Reveal trap! Hero Signal!” Serena's other face-down card is revealed to be Hero Signal trap card and Serena says, “Since you destroyed one of my monsters in battle, I can summon an Elemental Hero from my deck with four stars or less!” A card comes out of Serena's deck, she puts it into her hand, and states, when she puts the card on her duel disk, “So, I play Elemental Hero Sparkman in attack mode!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Sparkman (1600/1400) comes to the field in attack mode.

Serena smiles and says, “Yeah, right. You've got it all wrong and I plan to prove it!”
Orlando states, scoffing at Serena. “Oh, please.”
Serena tells Orlando, “I mean it! You make a big production out of everything that you miss the point!”
Orlando says, sounding a bit annoyed, “What point?!”
Serena says, with a smile, “For the last time, the point is to have fun and improve your skills!”
Bonaparte calls out, angrily, “The nerve!”

Orlando tells Serena, “Interesting, my dear. What gives you such confidence?”
Serena tells Orlando, “Well, I just . . . don't really think about it. I just get into the moment of the duel and I know that you are beating me, but I don't think about it. I just live in the moment. I guess that the secret of my successes is not really thinking at all.”
Rei says, sarcastically, “No surprise there, Meatball Head.”
Serena roars out, angrily, “Thanks a lot, Pyro! You are a real help!”
Orlando gives a few amused giggles and says, “I see. That attitude might me good for an amateur . . .”
Serena says, knowing what's coming next, “But . . .”

Rei calls out, annoyed, “Oh, man! Serena had this guy, but now, he can turn this around!”
Serena tells Orlando, with a sly grin, “Creative, but big mistake! Time to end this show!”
Orlando gasps in shock and says, in disbelief, “You can't!”
Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and calls out, “I play my Quick Summon card! With this Quick-Play spell, I can summon one more monster to the field! So, I sacrifice my Mercury and my Flare Wingman!” Flare Wingman and Eternal Mercury vanish from the field as they were sacrificed and Serena puts a new card on her duel disk and exclaims, “Now, I play my one of the best cards in my deck! Elemental Hero Neos!” To replace Mercury and Flare Wingman, Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000) comes to the field in attack mode.
Orlando gasps in shock and exclaims, “Oh no!”
Serena commands with a sly grin on her lips, “Oh, Neos, sweetie, why don't you be a doll and end this? Attack with Cosmic Crush!” Elemental Hero Neos leaps into the air and karate chops the trapped Genghis Khan in the head causing a huge explosion causing Orlando to scream out as his `hair' falls off, showing it to be a wig used for Kabuki actors and collapses to the ground as he loses 2500 life-points, ending the duel.
Final Score:
Orlando: 0
Serena: 900
With the duel's end, the holograms on the field vanish and Serena says, “Like my friend Jaden would say: `That's game!'”
Ami tells Serena, happily, “That was great, Serena!”
Mina tells Serena, excitedly, “You were the real star of the show girl!”
On the small hill overlooking the two duelists, Crowler and Bonaparte `pack up' their stuff and Bonaparte says, in his French accent, “Tragedies are so solemn and sad.”
Crowler tells Bonaparte, “We, we, my friend. There isn't even a victory dance or something at the end.”
Rei says, with an annoyed tone, “Oh, brother. I can't believe those two.”
On the meanwhile, Serena helps Orlando to a sitting position and tells him, “That was a great duel, Orlando. I really learned a lot from you.”
Orlando tells Serena, with a smile, “As well as from you, my beautiful young maiden. I wish that I could sweep you off your feet, but I can tell in your eyes that you have a man to call your own.”
Serena asks Orlando, “How do you I have a boyfriend?”
Orlando tells Serena, “My dear, you don't become a Broadway actor without knowing what the difference between acting and true romance is about.” Orlando then holds out a GX medal and tells Serena, “And as a reward for your great performance, here is my GX medal.”
Serena takes Orlando's GX medal and tells him, with a smile, “Thank you, Orlando! This is great!”
Orlando tells Serena, “But before I bid Duel Academy adieu and exit stage left, permit me a sample of my art to you and your lovely friends.”
Mina replies, in an excited tone, “Sure!”
Ami states, with her usual smile, “I think it would be enlightening experience.”
Serena nods her head and replies, “Okay. I think it is only fair.”
Rei states, with her typical smile, “Why not?” As the four girls sat down to allow Orlando to `set up' for his personal show for them, we find Chazz Princeton watching nearby with his eyes glaring at the group and as Orlando's `show' starts, Chazz Princeton walks away and heads for the `White Dorm'.
(That evening; within the `White Dorm')
Inside of the `White Dorm', we find ourselves within Sartorius' personal quarters with the briefcase containing the satellite controls in front of him. Also in front of him was his deck of Tarot card shuffle and he draws two cards putting them together. The cards were The Fool, the Tarot card that represents Jaden, and The Moon, the card that represents Serena/Sailor Moon, and this causes Sartorius to think.
Sartorius thinks in his mind, “So, it is as the cards predicted and from what Chazz told me, I was right all along. Jaden and Sailor Moon are getting stronger with every duel and Jaden's power continues to rapidly increase. It was like the cards warned me before. Since I didn't get Sailor Moon beforehand and took her two friends, Jaden is gaining greater power. However, this new power within Jaden puzzles me, but what I do know is that it will make Jaden more resistant to my power. I need to bring him and Sailor Moon into the light, but how?” Sartorius then draws the next two cards from his deck and his eyes widened to see The Hangman and The Sun Tarot cards. He puts them together and thinks, “It is just like I thought. The next duel will be a tag duel between Jaden and Sailor Moon against Chazz and Alexis. However, I will need to `unlock' Alexis' true `white form' because she is becoming more resistant to the light and I believe that I know why. The `bond' with Jaden Yuki. A `bond' that seems to transcend normal love for some reason. A love that seemed to have happened before even Jaden's and Alexis' time. However, it will not matter when Alexis is fully brought into the light and she and Chazz will bring Sailor Moon and Jaden to me. Then Aster will fall and the whole world will follow.” Sartorius then looks at the satellite controls with two small boxes beside them and thinks, “However, just in case, it is best that I prepare to open the world's eyes with the satellite . . .”
Sartorius reaches out from the two small black boxes when his hands stop and a voice, sounding exactly like his own, exclaims in his mind, “No, we can't! I cannot allow you to do this!”
Sartorius roars out to the voice in his mind, “Stop it! We must do this! The world must see the light and darkness must be destroyed!”
The voice in Sartorius' mind calls out, strongly, “We cannot! We will destroy the world! I won't let you continue this madness any longer! The light is taking away people's hearts and I will find a way to stop you!”
Sartorius tells the voice, in a cold and harsh tone, “You weak fool! Not even you are strong enough to stop the light!”
The voice yells out, in a serious tone, “But I know who can! The three Chosen Duelists! And I will find a way to get to them and warn them!” Sartorius then quickly stands up, holds his head in pain, and gives a yell of pain as a white aura surrounds his body for a minute. Soon after, the aura fades away and Sartorius' expression changed. Instead of an expression of evil, malice, and coldness, his expression becomes warm, kind, and caring.
Sartorius then says, in a much softer and kinder tone than before, “I did. However, I can't control him for long.” Sartorius reaches for another Tarot card in his deck, turns it over, and finds it is The Hermit Tarot card. Sartorius says, in his softer tone, “Ah, The Hermit, one of intelligence and science. Bastion Misawa is planning to try and stop me. Perfect.” Sartorius looks over to the two black boxes and says, “Bastion might be the only one to get these to the Chosen Duelists. Hopefully, I can hold him at bay until he gets here during this very night.”
(In the late evening hours; some distance outside of the `White Dorm')
Within the bushes outside of the `White Dorm', we find a figure coming out of the bushes and stepping into a nearby clearing. When we get a better look at this figure, we find it is none other than Bastion Misawa, but his hair is totally dyed white and he is wearing the male uniform of the `White Dorm'.
Bastion looks over himself and says, a bit annoyed, “I have to agree with Hassleberry on this one. These people use too bleach. Hopefully, I won't have to wear this disguise for long.” Bastion takes a deep breath, sighs, and says, “Sorry, Ami. I knew that you and the others wouldn't approve of this, but I have no choice. I need to get in there and get those satellite controls before the whole world is brainwashed.” Bastion brushes his hair and says, “I just wish that I didn't have to dye my hair this ridiculous color, but if it will convince those mind-control students that I was `converted' in a duel, it will be necessary sacrifice.” Bastion then says, with a smile, “Besides, I have the chemical to wash it off and I think it does make me a bit disguised, through I do feel silly.” Bastion then stealthy heads for the `White Dorm', not knowing that a female figure in the trees was watching him and the `White Dorm'.
The female figure says to herself, lowly, “Oh, man. That's Bastion Misawa, one of the kids that were with my fellow Zodiacs, the Moon Kingdom Scouts, and the duelists that they allied themselves with. I know that he hasn't been brainwashed like the others, but then why is he . . .” The realization hit her and she says, lowly, “Geez! For a genius, he can't be such a moron! He's going to try to get into the Society of Light and get those satellite controls! Is he trying to get himself brainwashed?! I better warn the others.” The female figure then drops down into the woods and stealthy races off towards the Ra Yellow and Slifer Red dorms to warn our heroes and heroines about Bastion's plans . . .
Next time in Chapter 8: White Night VS Silver Moon: Bastion manages to get into the Society of Light's headquarters in the `White Dorm', but he is captured by Chazz and some `white students'. However, when he is brought by Sartorius, it isn't the Sartorius that we know and loath. Bastion is shocked to find out that Sartorius indeed has a split personality. One is the evil side that contains the powers of the `Surge of Light' AKA `Light of Ruin' and the other is the original kind side that Mizuchi knew. And this time, Bastion is confronted by the `good side' of Sartorius. The `Good Sartorius' gives Bastion the keys to the satellite controls and quickly explains how his `evil side' also known as `Sartorius of Light' came to be as well as `forcing' Bastion to promise to get to those keys to Serena, Aster, and Jaden and make them guard them with their lives. However, the Sartorius `good side' can't keep his `evil side' contained for long and Bastion has to fight his way out of the `White Dorm' with the keys to the satellite controls. On the meanwhile, our Moon Kingdom Sailor Scout of Ice and Wisdom is woken up by a new ally, namely Sailor Taurus of the Zodiac Sailor Scouts. She quickly explains the situation to Ami and she transforms, managing to make it in time to save Bastion from being recaptured by the brainwashed students of the `White Dorm' with keys in hand. Rejoining our heroes and heroines, Bastion explains about what happened when he confronted Sartorius and gained the keys. Needless to say that our heroes and heroines now know the depth of the situation and Aster finds out that it was his father's card that `transformed' Sartorius into the evil leader of the Society of Light as well as learning the Sartorius that he is fighting isn't the friend he knew so long ago. Aster takes one of the keys, Jaden takes the second key, and our heroes and heroines create a third `fake key' for Serena to wear to confuse the enemy. On the meanwhile, Sartorius, under the `control' of his `evil side', once more, prepares to begin the duel to get those keys back. Alexis walks in to request to leave the Society of Light. But instead, Sartorius totally brainwashes Alexis into his cold and heartless `Apostle of Light'. Soon after, Sartorius sends Chazz and Alexis against Jaden and Serena in a tag team duel that the whole school will see. Before the duel starts, Jaden finds the three Ojama brothers have been `trashed' by Chazz since he got a new deck from Sartorius, but Jaden adds the three cards to his deck with the idea that they will bring Chazz back. With Serena adding Cyber Angel cards to aid Alexis' `memory', Jaden and Serena begin their tag duel against the two top `members' of the Society of Light. However, Chazz's White Knight's deck and Alexis' White Night's deck are giving our two heroes and their monsters the chills as well as black and blues. At one point, Jaden is so weakened, he collapses in the duel, but then something happens inside of him as his true power begins to fully awaken. When Jaden gets back to his feet with new strength and courage, he plays the card that Sheppard gave him that was originally blank: Neo Space II: Silver Millennium Kingdom. When this card is played, the powers of Neo-Space and the Silver Millennium unite and the Moon Prince is finally revealed! But will this be enough to win the duel and save Chazz and Alexis from Sartorius' control?
