Well, it has been a pretty long road with this story and I'm glad for all of the reviews that you gave, but with all good things, this story has to come to an end! Personally, I'm a bit sad that this story will end, but even through this story is over, the saga is far from over! In the future, there is going to be a sequel to this story where you will see more of Yugi and his friends as well as Tea, in her `younger form' and as Sailor Universe, and new battles against the Shadow Realm and the Negaverse. There are going to be new duels, new battles, and our heroes and heroines getting awesome new powers! However, the sequel is still in the `planning' stages, so, it might sometime before the first chapter will come out! However, it is time to say our goodbyes for now and time to rock and roll one more time and find out the winner of the GX tournament! Now, one more time, it is TIME TO GET YOUR GAMES ON!!

(Within the Obelisk Arena; One day after the final battle with the Light of Destruction)

 

Today, we find ourselves within Obelisk Arena within Duel Academy and the whole arena is packed with Slifer Red, Ra Yellow, Obelisk Blue, and Pro Duelists. Within that crowd are our heroes and heroines, minus Serena, Jaden, and Aster, as they watch Chancellor Sheppard walk up to the center of the dueling platform within Obelisk Arena. It has been one day since Jaden and Serena, along with help from their friends, Tyranno, in his `dino spirit form' and all of the Sailor Scouts, Moon and Sun Kingdom, destroyed the Misgarth satellite and defeated the Light of Destruction, sealing it away forever and saving the universe as well as freeing Sartorius from its control. Aster isn't with our heroes and heroines because he left with Sartorius and Sarina, his sister who digitized herself to save her brother and the universe, but recently managed to leave cyberspace, to help them get on with their lives back on the mainland after this `mess'. And Jaden and Serena . . . Well, since they are the only two duelists left in the tournament and since `Sartorius' broke the rules, `he' was disqualified from the GX tournament, meaning Jaden's and Serena's semi-final match has been turned into the final match of the tournament. And now, it is about to begin, the Moon Princess and Protector of Love and Justice is about to face off against her brother, our Slifer Red Hero and Moon Prince.

 

Michelle says, with a smile, “Well, this is it. Our princess is going against her own brother in a duel.”

 

Lita asks Ami, curiously, “Do you think that Serena has a chance against her brother, Jaden?”

 

Mina yells out, with an excited tone, “Yeah! Serena is just as good as Jaden! If it wasn't for her, he wouldn't have beaten that alien freak!”

 

Ami, who is sitting by Bastion, says, with a logical tone, “Well, from the data that Bastion-sempai and I could gather, Serena and Jaden are pretty well evenly matched.”

 

Bastion nods his head and says, in his logical tone, “I concur, Ami. Based on their history, dueling skills, styles, and decks, Serena has played various decks in her lifetime and she has been dueling since she has been a little girl as well as been known to handle various quite well. However, even through Jaden has been dueling with one deck, which has somewhat changed this year with the addition of the Neo-Spacian cards, he has shown that he can handle various types of decks. With similar personalities, dueling tactics, skills, abilities, and the same `Miracle Draw', the ability to draw a card when they need it the most, abilities, this makes both of them quite even. But if I learned one thing about Jaden and Serena, data and information can't guarantee you victory and I learned that lesson the hard way when I underestimated Jaden. However, what I do know is that we might be for the greatest match in Duel Monster's history since Seto Kaiba and Yugi Moto in Battle City.”

 

Tyranno says, with a nod, “No joke, private! Two kids, who are actually brother and sister as well as alien royalty from a kingdom on our moon for millennia in the past, like that should make one real `show stopper'.”

 

Trista says, with a sly smile, “However, the whole world might not be ready for that fact, yet.”

 

Artemis asks Luna, “Who did you think will win, Luna?”

 

Luna tells Artemis, with a shrug, “Who knows, Artemis? Our prince and princess have similar abilities and skills in Duel Monsters. Serena might be a Meatball Head in other matters, like regular school and stuff of the like, but when it comes to Duel Monsters, she was one of the best back home and her abilities rival those of her brother and Pro-level duelists.” Luna then says, with a smile, “However, I am happy about one thing.”

 

Artemis asks Luna, curiously, “What is that?”

 

Luna replies, with a smile, “Even through I'm not sure about the career, she is looking to her future. She will become our queen in the time of Crystal Tokyo, but that's a long way off! She needs to think about the near future and she isn't going to be a teen forever! Through it might not be the career that I wanted, Pro Duelists earn plenty of money and are well-off.”

 

Artemis tells Luna, with a bit of concerned, “But as long as they do well in the Pro League tournaments of the world, Luna. Do you think that Serena can handle the world of Pro League dueling?”

 

Luna says, with a smile, “Knowing Serena, that girl tends to surprise all of us.”

 

Rini yells out, seriously, “Quiet, everyone! It's starting!”

 

Chancellor Sheppard then calls out, through the microphone, “Greetings, dueling fans! I am Chancellor Sheppard, head of this fine institution, and I welcome all of you to the final match of the GX world tournament. As you well know, after yesterday's `mess', `Sartorius', for breaking the rules and disorderly conduct, has been officially disqualified from the tournament. But we found out from our doctors that Sartorius was suffering from some sort of `condition' that he has been recently been treated and that his actions of yesterday were not of his own free will and mind.”

 

Jasmine says, with a droll tone, “That's putting it mildly.”

 

Chancellor Sheppard yells out, through the microphone, “And even through he was disqualified, Aster Phoenix had already lost to him and can't be reinstated in the tournament. Plus, since Sartorius is still Aster Phoenix's manager, he has left to help Sartorius on his road to recovery. But I ramble on, let me get to the point! So, since there are only two finalists left, the second semi-final match has become the final match of the tournament! Now, let us introduce the duelists!” Chancellor Sheppard points to his left and calls out, “To my left, a first-year transfer student from Crossover High School, currently one of the top female students in the Ra Yellow dorm, also known as the Princess of Ra Yellow, and skills and talents equaling another student that I know! May I present to you, one of Duel Academy's finest freshmen, Serena Tsukino of Ra Yellow!” Soon after, Serena, in her Ra Yellow uniform, slowly walks into the stadium and loud and wild cheers come from the crowd, including some of her friends.

 

Mina yells out, excitedly, “Yeah! You go girlfriend!”

 

Ami calls out, with a smile, “Good luck, Serena!”

 

Lita exclaims to Serena, with a smile, “Show them what `girl power' is all about, Serena!” Serena gives her sweet smile and waves to the crowd as she approaches to the stadium and when she looks at Darien, he gives her his loving smile and nod, wishing her luck. Serena's smile brightens from this and she goes onto the dueling platform and stops in front of Chancellor Sheppard.

 

Chancellor Sheppard motions for the crowd to stop cheering, they do so, and Chancellor Sheppard calls out, motioning to his right, “And now, for that other duelist that I mention earlier! He is one that I got to know well since he came here to Duel Academy during last semester! He started out as a boy with great dueling talent and became Duel Academy's current number one student! His grades might not be good, but his dueling speaks for himself! He has dueled countless opponents and even when the chips were down, he always found the courage and heart to bring out win, especially when it was most needed! He might be a Slifer Red, but his talents have even defeated opponents ranging from his dorm to Obelisk Blue as well as even Pro Duelists and our facility!”

 

Crowler groans in thought, annoyed, “I wish that you didn't say that and have to remind me how I got back by that Slacker!”

 

Chancellor Sheppard then calls out, “Now, give it up for our Academy's number one student and `Slifer Red Hero' duelist of Duel Academy, Jaden Yuki!” Just then Jaden walks into the stadium and more wild cheers come from the audience especially from the Duel Academy students.

 

Jaden calls out to the audience, “Thank you! Thank you! It's nothing!”

 

Syrus shouts out, excitedly, “Yea, Jay!”

 

Tyranno tells Jaden, with a smile, “No mercy, Sarge! Sister or not, this is your big battle!”

 

Atticus calls out, with a smile, “Go and get them, Jay!” When Jaden looks at Alexis, she gives him her classic wide smile and nods her head in which Jaden replies with the same. Soon after, he leaps onto the dueling platform and goes right up to Chancellor Sheppard.

 

Chancellor Sheppard motions for the crowd to stop cheering and when they do so, he says, through the microphone, “Now, usually the winner of the tournament here would get a kiss for our Ms. Dothory . . . (cough) . . . However, this year, we are doing something very special. The winner of this tournament will get one wish that their heart's desire, within reason of course, and plus, they will get automatically entry in Mr. Maxamillion Pegasus' brand new GX Duelist Kingdom Tournament taking place in Egypt this summer to represent all of Duel Academy!” Everyone gasps in shock from Chancellor Sheppard's announcement.

 

Amara says, with a serious and plain tone, “Pegasus holds a tournament around the same time that we are planning to go to Egypt to stop Beryl from getting all of the Millennium Items.”

 

Michelle asks Amara, curiously, “You don't think it is a coincidence, Amara?”

 

Amara tells Michelle, with a plain tone, “In our line of work, there is rarity of coincidences, Michelle.”

 

Jaden yells out, excitedly, “A Duel Monsters' tournament in Egypt? Sweet!”

 

Serena tells Jaden, with a sly smile, “Well, one of us is going there as a contestant, Jaden. However, I'm sure that I will make sure that you and your friends will come to watch me kick butt in Egypt!”

 

Jaden says, with a sly smile, “We'll see about that, Serena!”

 

Chancellor Sheppard says, with a smile and through the microphone, “I see that our finalists are all `fired up'! Now, let's get this duel started! First, cut and shuffle your opponent's decks!” Jaden hands his deck to Serena while Serena does the same with her deck by giving it to Jaden. The two of them cut and shuffle their sibling's deck and when they are done, they hand their decks back to each other and immediately take their positions.

 

Syrus says, with awe, “This is it.”

 

Hotaru says, with amazement, “They are about to duel.”

 

Rei says, with a serious tone, “And knowing them, they will duel their hardest.”

 

Chancellor Sheppard gets off the dueling platform while Serena and Jaden put their decks in their duel disks, activating them, and Chancellor Sheppard calls out, through the microphone, “Are the duelists ready?”

 

Jaden says, with a sly while drawing five cards from his deck, “Yep!”

 

Serena says, with her own smile while drawing five cards from her deck, “You know it!”

 

Chancellor Sheppard then calls out, through the microphone, “Then let the final match of the duel begin!” Soon after, Jaden's and Serena's duel disks display 4000 life-points for each duelist on their life-point counters.

 

“Game on!” Serena and Jaden yell out in unison as the crowds start to cheer.

Serena draws one card from her deck and says, with a smile, “Ladies first, Jaden!” Serena puts one card on her duel disk and says, “First, I summon Cyber Gymnast in defense mode!” Soon after, Cyber Gymnast (800/1800) comes to the field in defense mode. Serena puts two cards in the spell/trap slots and says, “Then I place two face-downs and that's it from me!”

 

Jaden draws one card from his deck and says, “Not bad, Serena! But I think that I will go a bit bigger!” Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and calls out, “Now, I play Polymerization!” Jaden discards his Elemental Hero Sparkman (1600/1400) and Elemental Hero Necroshade (1600/1800) monster cards to the graveyard and yells out, “So, I fuse my Sparkman with Necroshade!” Soon after, Sparkman and Necroshade appears on the field, go into a fusion vortex, Jaden puts a fusion monster card from his fusion deck on his duel disk, and calls out, “Now, I summon my newest Elemental Hero thus far! Elemental Hero Dark Brightman!” Out of the fusion vortex, Elemental Hero Dark Brightman (2000/1000), a humanoid monster with black mask with a red visor over his face, yellow upper chest armor, black bodysuit, silver boots, and yellow metallic wings, comes to the field in attack mode. Jaden puts one card on his duel disk and calls out, “Next, I play Necroshade's special ability from the grave! When he is in my grave, I can summon one Elemental Hero from my hand without sacrificing a thing! So, I summon Elemental Hero Bladedge in attack mode!” Just then besides Dark Brightman, Elemental Hero Bladedge (2600/1800) comes to the field in attack mode. Jaden then yells out, “Now, Dark Brightman, attack her Cyber Gymnast with Shadow Shocker!” Dark Brightman gathers dark electrical energy in front of him, launches it at Serena's Cyber Gymnast, and destroys it, but Serena loses 200 life-points even through her monster was in defense mode.

 

Lita asks, surprised, “Wait! Why did Serena lose life-points?!”

 

Bastion replies, “Dark Brightman has a special ability. When it attacks a monster in defense mode with less defense points than its attack points, the difference comes out of Serena's life-points, but Dark Brightman then switches to defense mode.”

 

Jaden tells Serena, with a sly smile, “Well, you have already figured out that the extra damage from my monster's attack on yours even through it was in defense mode, goes back to you, thanks to Dark Brightman's sweet effect. However, Dark Brightman then has to go into defense.” Dark Brightman switches from attack to defense mode.

 

Serena pushes a button on her duel disk and says, “Well, you've just triggered my trap! Hero Signal!” Serena's face-down card is revealed to be Hero Signal and Serena says, with a smile, “You know how it works since you've just destroyed my Gymnast, I get to summon one Elemental Hero from my deck that's four stars or less!” A card comes out of Serena's deck, she puts into her hand, then on her duel disk, and says, “So, I summon Elemental Hero Lady Heat in defense mode!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Lady Heat (1300/1500) comes to the field in defense mode.

 

Jaden tells Serena, with a smile, “Well, Serena, don't forget my Bladedge has still got an attack!” Jaden points to Serena's Lady Heat and calls out, “Go, attack Lady Heat with Slice and Dice!” Bladedge extends its blades and launches himself towards Lady Heat.

 

Serena pushes a button on her duel disk and says, with a sly smile, “But you forgot that I've still got a face-down! Hero Barrier!” Serena's other face-down card is revealed to be Hero Barrier and Bladedge's attack is stopped by a blue barrier in front of Lady Heat. Serena tells Jaden, with a sly smile, “Sorry, Jay, but this card stops your attack in its tracks since I've got an Elemental Hero out!”

 

Jaden says, with a smile, “Well, you've one up me! I'll end my turn!”

Serena draws one card from her deck, displays a spell card with two people with Pot of Greed jars in their hands, and Serena says, putting the card in the spell/trap slots, “Now, I play my Greed Agreement spell card! This card allows me to draw up to three cards, but in return, you get to draw the same number of cards from your deck! So, I will draw three cards and that means you get three cards as well!”

 

Serena and Jaden draw three cards from their decks and Jaden exclaims, excitedly, “Sweet! This is my type of card!”

 

Serena says, putting a smile, “You might not be saying that for long, Jaden!” Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Cross Change spell card! Now, I can return one Elemental Hero on my field and summon one Neo-Spacian from my deck of the same level or lower and vice-versa! So, now, I return Lady Heat to my deck!” Lady Heat vanishes from the field, Serena puts it in her deck when she takes it out, she goes through her deck, takes out one card, puts it on her duel disk, and yells out, “Now, I bring my Neo-Spacian Aqua-Dolphin in exchange!” Soon after, a column of water appears and Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin (600/800) comes to the field in attack mode. Serena then reshuffles her deck, puts it back in her duel disk, and puts one card in the spell/trap slots, declaring, “Next, I play another cool spell! It is called Neo Spacian Extent!”

 

Jaden asks, curiously, “What is that?”

 

Serena then says, with a smile, “Let's just say that it is kind of an evolutionary card, Jaden. You see, I send one Neo-Spacian from my field to the graveyard and then from my fusion deck, I summon its more powerful form from my fusion deck to the field! You can say it is a Neo-Spacian version of the spell card `Metamorphosis'!” Serena takes a fusion monster card from her fusion deck, puts it on her duel disk, and calls out, “So, goodbye, Aqua-Dolphin and say hell to my hunky new Neo Spacian Marine Dolphin!” Aqua Dolphin is surround by rings of water, his skin color becomes dark blue mixed with a grayish-white, his jewels on his chest become a darker red, and his body becomes a lot more muscular and stronger, and to replace Neo-Spacian Aqua-Dolphin, Neo-Spacian Marine Dolphin (900/1100) comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Jaden says, amazed, “Whoa! That's so sweet!”

 

Chazz says, in his usual snobbish tone, “So, what? That girl's overgrown dolphin boy is no match for those Slacker's two monsters!”

 

Serena discards her Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000) card and yells out, “Next, I play his effect! Okay, Marine Dolphin, show them what you got! Echo Wave!” Marine Dolphin creates a huge sound wave that hits Jaden's deck and Serena says, with a smile, “Unlike Aqua-Dolphin, if you have a monster that's stronger than my Marine Dolphin, it is automatically destroyed and you lose five hundred life-points!”

 

Jaden calls out, stunned, “Say what?!” Just then one card comes out of Jaden's hand, Elemental Hero Wildheart (1500/1600) appears on the field, and explodes causing Jaden to yell out in shock, “Oh no! Wildheart!” Jaden's life-points then drop by 500 life-points.

 

Serena then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play Monster Reborn to bring back the card that I tossed! Elemental Hero Neos!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000) comes to the field in attack mode. Serena then calls out, “Next, I'll fuse them together! Neos! Marine Dolphin! Contact Fusion!” The outer space theme appears in the sky, Neos and Marine Dolphin leap into the sky, Serena returns the two cards to her deck and fusion deck, Serena takes another fusion monster card from her fusion deck, puts it on her duel disk, the two monster glow as they unite together in a bright light, and Serena yells out, with a smile, “Now, meet my Elemental Hero Marine Neos!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Marine Neos (2800/2300), a humanoid monster with a dark blue point head and forehead, dark blue, light blue, and light grayish-white chest and body, light blue circular jewel on the upper chest, dark blue upper arms with two dark blue spike-like fins on each upper arm, light blue lower arms to his wrists, and dark blue legs and boots with two to three dark blue spike-like fins on her upper legs, comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Tyranno yells out, in a very amazed tone, “Sam hill! Now, that's a frontline soldier!”

 

Bastion says, with a serious and logical tone, “Not surprising. Serena proved that her skills with her Neos deck rivals Jaden and his own Neos' deck, which is equal in power and ability.”

 

Serena then yells out, seriously, “Now, Marine Neos' effect activates, I can destroy one random card in your hand and I choose the middle one!” Marine Neos' fires a beam of energy from her deck, it zaps Jaden's card, and it is revealed to be Pot of Greed, which vanishes, much to Jaden's shock. Serena then says, putting one card in the spell/trap slots, “I think that it is time to play my Dark Spell Regeneration allowing me to copy one spell card in the grave and I choose your Pot of Greed! Now, I get two more cards from my deck!” Serena draws two cards from her deck, her Field Spell slot opens, Serena puts a card in it, and Serena yells out, “Next, I play my Neo Space Field spell!” The field then changes into the rainbow aura field known as Neo Space and Serena calls out, with a smile, “Now, this card gives my Marine Neos an extra five hundred point boost!” Marine Neos' stats rise from 2800/2300 to 3300/2300! Serena then calls out, with a serious tone, “Marine Neos, send Bladedge packing! Tidal Twister!” Marine Neos creates a twister of water in its right hand, it launches right at Bladedge, and it slams into the hero monster with terrific force, destroying it, and costing Jaden 700 life-points. Serena then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Hero Draw spell card and draw two cards since I have one hero on the field!” Serena then draws two cards from her deck and then puts one card in the spell/trap slots causing her to say, “Then I play my Back to Square One spell card! This card sends one monster on your field back to the top of your deck and since Dark Brightman is the only monster card, he is gone, but he goes back to your fusion deck and his ability doesn't activate since he wasn't destroyed!” Dark Brightman vanishes from the field and is sent back to Jaden's fusion deck.

 

Jaden says, with a smile, “Sweet move, Serena!”

 

Serena puts two cards in the spell/trap slots and says, “Finally, I throw down two face-downs and call it a turn!”

Jaden: 2700

 

Syrus yells out, shocked, “Oh my! Serena just got one up on Jaden in one turn!”

 

Bastion tells Syrus, “Not surprising with the level of skill that she has seemly rivals Jaden.”

 

Atticus says, with a smile, “Man! That girl really knows her stuff!”

 

Mina tells Atticus, with a smile, “I told you, Atticus-chan! My best friend is the best duelist there is!”

 

Syrus tells Mina, with a serious tone, “Well, I know that Jaden will turn this duel around! He isn't top duelist here in Duel Academy for nothing.”

 

Chazz says, with a low tone, “That slacker better because I want the honor of taking him down for myself.”

 

Jaden draws one card from his deck and says, with a smile, “I've got to say, Serena, that's some pretty sweet move, but I've got some of my own.”

 

Serena says, with a sly smile, “Oh, really?”

 

Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Oh, yeah! I play Graceful Charity! Now, I draw three cards from my deck and then discard two from my hand!” Jaden draws three cards from his deck, then discards two cards from his hand, puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and calls out, “Now, I play my O-Oversoul spell card! This card allows me to summon one Normal Elemental Hero from my grave to the field! And I choose the same card that you brought back! Neos!” Just then Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000-3000/2000) comes to the field in attack mode. Jaden then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play this spell! Spell Economics! As long as this card remains in play, I don't have to pay life-points to play my spell card!” Jaden then says, with a smile while putting another card in the spell/traps slots, “And that's really sweet for me because I play my Ties to the Brethren spell card! This card normally costs me a grand, but thanks to Spell Economics, I don't have to pay a single point! Sweet, huh? Now, I can summon two monsters from my deck that are level four or below!” Jaden then goes through his deck, takes out two cards, puts his deck back in his duel disk, puts the two cards on his duel disk, and calls out, “Now, I summon my Neo-Spacian Glow Moss and Neo-Spacian Dark Panther!” Besides Neos, Neo-Spacian Glow Moss (300/900) and Neo-Spacian Dark Panther (1000/100) comes to the field in attack mode. Jaden then says, with a smile, “Now, it is my turn for some Contact Fusion, Serena, but this time, I'm doing something a bit different! Neos! Panther! Glow Moss! Let's go!” The three outer space heroes nod their heads in unison and Jaden calls out, as the outer space theme appears on the field, “Triple Contact Fusion!” The three named monster fly up into the air, the three monster cards are return to Jaden's deck, Jaden puts a fusion monster card on his duel disk, the three monsters unite in a bright light, and Jaden calls out, with a smile, “Serena, meet Elemental Hero Chaos Neos!” Out of the bright light, Elemental Hero Chaos Neos (3000/2500-3500/2500), a humanoid monster with black and silver helmet with red eyes, silver armor on his shoulders, upper chest, and lower arms, blue jewel on the center of the chest armor, black bodysuit, his right hand has huge three foot long and one foot thick claws as fingers, clawed feet, and two huge silver and dark red demonic-like wings, comes to the field in attack mode. Jaden then says, with a sly smile, “Thanks to Chaos Neos' effect, I flip a coin three times and his special abilities results from the amount of heads I get.” Jaden displays his coin and flips it three times causing it to land on heads three times. Jaden then says, with a wide sly smile, “Sweet! Now, all monsters on your side of the field are automatically destroyed!”

 

Serena yells out, stunned, “What?!”

 

Jaden calls out, “Neos, show her! Chaos Storm!” Just then a huge powerful storm comes to the field and Marine Neos is automatically destroyed in a huge explosion. Jaden then shouts out, “Now, Chaos Neos attack her directly! Chaotic Tempest!” Chaos Neos fires a beam of silver lightning and black energy right at Serena.

 

Serena pushes a button on her duel disk and calls out, “Not so fast, Jaden! I play my Shrink spell card!” Serena's face-down card is revealed to be the Shrink Quick-Spell card and Serena yells out, “Thanks to this card, your monster's attack is cut in half!” Chaos Neos' stats reduce down from 3500/2000 to 1750/2000 as the attack slams into her costing her 1750 life-points. Serena then pushes a button on her duel disk and calls out, “Next, I play my trap card! Damage Condenser!” Serena's other face-down card is revealed to be the Damage Condenser trap card and Serena yells out, “Thanks to this card, I can now summon a monster from my deck with the same or less attack points as the damage that you gave me!” Serena goes through her deck, takes out one card, puts her deck back in her duel disk, and says, putting the card on her duel disk, “Now, I summon Elemental Hero Necroshade in defense mode!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Necroshade (1600/1800) comes to the field in defense mode.

 

Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and he says, “Well, I throw down a face-down and call it a turn!”

Tyranno calls out, with a smile, “Oh, yeah! That's our boy!”

 

Serena draws one card from her deck, puts the card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “I play Card of Sanctity! Now, both of us must draw until we have six cards in our hands!” Serena and Jaden draw until they have six cards in their hands, Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Now, I play R-Righteous Justice spell card! Now, since I have an Elemental Hero on the field, I get to destroy one of your spell or trap cards! Including that face-down!” Jaden's face-down is destroyed, Serena puts another card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Next, I play the spell card Mystic Wok! I sacrifice one monster from my side of the field and I either choose its attack or defense power then my life-points are increased by that amount. So, I sacrifice my Necroshade and gain its defense power to my life-points!” Serena's Necroshade vanishes from the field, her life-points increase by 1800, and says, putting another card in the spell/trap slots, “Next, I play my Spy Hero spell card! I discard two random cards from my deck and I get one spell card from your grave to use to the end of my turn!” Serena draws two random cards from her deck, note that they are Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird (800/600) and Hero Kid (300/600), puts them in her graveyard slot, see-through figure with a red `H' on his chest appears on the field, vanishes, then appears on Jaden's side of the field, goes into his graveyard slot, causing a card to shoot out, Serena catches the card, displays Pot of Greed, and says, putting the card in the spell/trap slots, “Then I play Pot of Greed! Giving me two more cards from my deck!” Serena draws two more cards from her deck, puts one card on her duel disk, and says, “Next, I play Necroshade's ability to summon back Elemental Hero Neos!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000-3000/2500) in attack mode. Serena then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Then I play my Cocoon Party spell card! With this card, I can summon any number of `Chrysalis' monsters equal to the number of Neo-Spacians in my grave! Since Aqua Dolphin and Air Hummingbird, who I discarded with Spy Hero, are in the grave, I can summon two Chrysalis monsters! So, here is my cute Chrysalis Moog and Chrysalis Larva!” Soon after, Chrysalis Larva (300/300), a little larva bug in a chrysalis, and Chrysalis Moog (700/100), a baby mole in its own chrysalis, come to the field in attack mode. Serena then calls out, “Since Neo-Space is on the field, I can sacrifice them to summon my Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab and Neo-Spacian Grand Mole!” Soon after, the two Chrysalis monsters vanish, two cards come out of Serena's deck, she puts them on her duel disk, and Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab (500/500) and Neo-Spacian Grand Mole (900/300) comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Ami says, amazed, “She's going to do Triple Contact Fusion now!”

 

Serena tells the three monsters, “You heard Ami, guys! Triple Contact Fusion!” The outer space theme appears in the sky, the three monsters fly up into the air, the three monster cards are returned to Serena's deck, Serena puts a fusion monster card on her duel disk while the three monsters unite in bright lights, and Serena calls out, “I summon Elemental Hero Magma Neos!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Magma Neos (3000/2500) comes to the field in attack mode. Serena then says, with a sly smile, “Thanks to Magma Neos' cool trick, he gets four hundred attack points for every card on the field, monster, spell, and trap, and since there are four cards on the field, Magma Neos gains sixteen hundred more attack points with a five hundred point bonus from Neo-Space.” Magma Neos' stats rise from 3000/2500 to 5100/2500!

 

Jaden says, with a slight moan, “Oh, boy. This is going to hurt.”

 

Serena calls out, “Magma Neos, attack his Chaos Neos with Magma Eruption!” Magma Neos fires a beam of flames from his right hand and it slams into Chaos Neos causing the fusion monster to screech out in pain as it is destroyed, dropping Jaden's life-points by 1600 more points.

 

Syrus yells out, shocked, “Jaden!”

 

Mina asks, with a sly smile, “You were saying, Syrus?”

 

Serena then says, while putting one card in the spell/trap slots, “Well, I'll throw this card face-down and call it a turn!”

Tyranno says, with a shocked tone, “Oh, man! The Sarge is getting his own butt whooped his own royal flesh and blood!”

 

Serena tells Jaden, with a sly smile, “I meant what I said when I said that I wanted to be the first Queen of Games! I love dueling as much as you and Alexis do and I'm here to kick butt, take names, and be the best!”

 

Jaden tells Serena, with a smile, “Well, you have gotten me that time, Serena! But remember, a duel isn't over until the last card is played!” Jaden then draws one card from his deck and says, putting one card in the spell/trap slots, “First, I play the Warrior Returning Alive! This spell card allows me to bring back my Sparkman to my hand!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Sparkman (1600/1400) monster cards comes out of the graveyard slot and Jaden puts it back into his hand. Jaden then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Double Fusion spell card! I give up five hundred life-points for two Fusion Summons this turn!” Jaden's life-points drop by 500, Jaden discards his Elemental Hero Avian (1000/1000) and Elemental Hero Burstinatrix (1200/800) monster cards to the graveyard, the two monsters appear on the field and go into a fusion vortex while Jaden puts a fusion monster card on his duel disk, and he calls out, “First, I fuse Avian and Burstinatrix to summon Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!” Out of the fusion vortex, Elemental Hero Flame Wingman (2100/1200) comes to the field in attack mode. Jaden then puts the fusion monster card and his Sparkman card into the graveyard, Elemental Hero Sparkman appears on the field, goes into a fusion vortex with Flame Wingman, and Jaden yells out, as he puts another fusion monster card from his fusion deck on his duel disk, “Then I fuse Flame Wingman with Sparkman to summon Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman!” Soon after, out of the fusion vortex, Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman (2500/2100) comes to the field in attack mode.

 

Serena then says, with a serious tone, “Since there is a new monster on the field, Magma Neos gains four hundred more points!” Magma Neos' stats rise from 5100/2500 to 5500/2500!

 

Jaden then says, with a smile, “That's okay! Now, for some bonus action for me! Shining Flare Wingman gains three hundred attack points for every Elemental Hero in the grave! And with Bladedge, Avian, Burstinatrix, Sparkman, Flame Wingman, Necroshade, Wildheart and Chaos Neos in my grave, Shining Flare Wingman gains twenty-five hundred attack points!” Shining Flare Wingman's stats rise from 2500/2100 to 5000/2100!

 

Serena then says, with a smile, “That's not enough to beat my Magma Neos!”

 

Jaden puts a card in the spell/trap slots and says, with a sly grin, “That's why I'm playing my Block Attack spell card! It switches Magma Neos over there from attack to defense mode!”

 

Serena calls out, shocked, “Oh no!” Magma Neos then switches from attack to defense mode.

 

Jaden calls out, seriously, “Shining Flare Wingman, destroy Magma Neos! Shining Emerald Orb!” Shining Flare Wingman fires an emerald green orb of energy at Magma Neos, destroying him, but since it was in defense mode, Serena suffers no battle damage! Jaden then calls out, “Now, Shining Flare Wingman's ability activates! You take damage equal to your destroyed monster's attack power and that's over five thousand!” Shining Flare Wingman hovers over Serena about to play its special effect and Jaden says, with a smile, “School's out, Serena.”

 

Serena pushes a button on her duel disk and says, with a sly smile, “Not yet! I play my trap! Damage Polarizer!” Serena's face-down card is revealed to be the Damage Polarizer trap card, a shield protects her from Shining Flare Wingman's effect, and Serena says, with a sly smile, “Sorry, Jay, but this card negates all damage from an effect and now, we draw one card from our decks! I knew all about Shining Flare Wingman's ability, so, I came prepared!” Serena and Jaden draw one card from their decks and looks at them.

 

Jaden tells Serena, with a smile, “Well, Serena, you are one real awesome duelist, but don't think that you are going to win this duel!” Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Now, I play my Mirage of Nightmare! This card allows me to draw from my deck until I have four cards in my hand during your Standby Phase, but during my Standby Phase, I have to discard the same amount of cards from my hand to grave that I drew with this effect.” Jaden then puts two cards in the spell/trap slots and says, “And I'll end with two face-downs!”

Serena draws one card from her deck and says, “Okay, my turn!”

 

Jaden then says, with a sly smile, “And my draw, thanks to my Mirage of Nightmare!” Jaden draws four cards from his deck, pushes a button on his duel disk, and says, “Now, I reveal the spell card: Emergency Provisions!” Jaden's face-down card proves to be the Emergency Provisions Quick-Spell card and he says, with a smile, “Thanks to this card, I can destroy at least one spell or trap card on my side of the field and for each card that I destroy, I regain one thousand life-points! So, I'll destroy my Mirage of Nightmare and my Spell Economics spell cards and my life-points go up two triple zeroes!” Jaden's Mirage of Nightmare and Spell Economics Continuous Spell cards are destroyed and Jaden's life-points increase by 2000.

 

Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “You aren't the only one that can draw cards, Jaden! I play my Pot of Greed and get two more cards from my deck!” Serena draws two more cards from her deck, smiles when she sees them, puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Now, I play my Foolish Burial spell card! Now, I can send one monster card from my deck to the grave!” Serena takes out her deck, puts her Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000) monster card into the graveyard slot and puts her deck back in her duel disk.

 

Jaden asks, curiously, “Why did you do that?”

 

Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “This card should explain everything! I play my Final Light spell card! Now, after I play one thousand life-points, I can summon one Light attribute monster from my grave and my Neos qualifies!” Serena's life-points drop by 1000, Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000-3000/2000) appears on the field, and Serena says, with a smile, “However, you get to summon a monster from your graveyard, too, but it must only have two thousand attack points or less and it must be in attack mode!”

 

Jaden says, with a sigh, “I choose Sparkman!” Elemental Hero Sparkman (1600/1400) comes back to the field in attack mode while Shining Flare Wingman's power is reduced down to 4600/2100! Jaden tells Serena, with a smile, “Not a bad move, Serena, but my Flare Wingman is still the strongest monster on the field.”

 

Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Not for long! I play the spell card known as Book of the Moon! This switches Flare Wingman into face-down defense mode!” Much to Jaden's surprise, Flare Wingman groans as it switches from attack mode to face-down defense mode.

 

Jaden asks, perplexed tone in his voice, “Okay, what is the point?”

 

Serena puts another card in the spell/trap slots and states, with a sly smile, “This is the point, Jay! I play my Nobleman of Crossout spell card! This card removes one face-down monster from play and if it is a Flip Effect monster, we must remove the same monster card from our decks from play! And guess who has got to go, Jaden?”

 

Jaden calls out, shocked, “Oh no!” A knight comes out of the hologram of the spell card, slices the hologram of Flare Wingman's face-down card, and the monster appears with a loud groan before it is destroyed. Jaden then sighs and says, “Sorry, Flare Wingman.” He soon puts the card in his card pouch to show that it has been removed from play.

 

Bastion says, with an amazed tone, “Remarkable. In just one turn, Serena just turned this duel around again! This duel is swaying back and forth and the action is non-stop! They are evenly matched duelists!”

 

Serena shouts out, seriously, “Neos, time to turn out the lights! Attack with Cosmic Crush!” Neos leaps into the air to attack Jaden's Sparkman and dives down on it.

 

Jaden pushes a button on his duel disk and says, “Sorry, Serena, but I play my trap! Negate Attack!” Jaden's face-down card is revealed to be the Negate Attack trap card and a shield protects Sparkman from Neos' attack. Jaden then says, with a smile, “This card not only stops your attack, but ends your Battle Phase, so, you can't attack me anymore this turn.”

 

Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Well, I put this card face-down and call it a turn!”

Jaden draws one card from his deck and says, with a smile, “Well, Serena, it has been one sweet duel with you. Actually, one of the best in my life, but now, all good things must come to an end, so, it's time to wrap things up!” Serena's eyes widen as Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and declares, “Now, I play my Ancient Rule spell card! This card allows me to summon one level five or higher Normal monster from my hand and I have my Neos!” Jaden puts the card on his duel disk and his Elemental Hero Neos (2500/2000-3000/2000) comes to the field in attack mode to stare down Serena's Neos. Jaden then puts another card in the spell/trap slots and yells out, “Next, I play my E to N Shuffle! With this card, I can send one Elemental Hero from my field back to my deck and replace it with one Neo-Spacian from my deck, but the Neo-Spacian summon with this effect loses his special powers! So, I return Sparkman to my deck!” Sparkman vanishes, Jaden returns the card to his deck, Jaden takes another card from his deck, puts it on his duel disk, and calls out, after he puts his deck back in his duel disk, “Now, I summon my Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab!” Soon after, Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab (500/500) comes to the field in attack mode to take Sparkman's place. Jaden then calls out, with a smile, “Okay! Neos? Scarab?” The two monsters nod their heads in agreement as the outer space theme appears behind Jaden and Jaden calls out, “Contact Fusion!” The two monsters leap into the air, they combine in a bright light as their two monster cards return to Jaden's deck, Jaden puts a fusion monster card from his fusion deck on his duel disk, and he yells out, “Now, I summon my Elemental Hero Flare Neos!” Out of the light, Elemental Hero Flare Neos (2500/2000) comes to the field in attack mode. Jaden then says, with a smile, “Now, for every spell and trap card on the field, Neos gains four hundred points and since there are two, he gains eight hundred points and plus he gets another five hundred, thanks to your Neo-Space Serena!” Elemental Hero Flare Neos' stats rise from 2500/2000 to 3800/2000!

 

Serena says, confused, “He might be stronger than my Neos, but it won't end this duel in one turn!”

 

Jaden puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, with a smile, “Don't worry, I'm getting to that! First, I place a face-down to increase Neos' power by four hundred more points!” Flare Neos' glows as his stats rise from 3800/2000 to 4200/2000! Jaden then puts the final card in his hand in the spell/trap slots and says, “Then I play my Pump Up spell card! This card doubles my Neos' attack power for this turn!” Serena gasps in shock and Flare Neos' stats rise from 4200/2000 to 8400/2000!

 

Lita yells out, shocked, “That's enough to take her monster and her life-points!”

 

Syrus calls out, excitedly, “Way to go, Jay!”

 

Jaden shouts out, seriously, “Flare Neos, attack her monster! End this duel with Flare Storm!” Elemental Hero Flare Neos leaps into the air, becomes surrounded by flames, and dives down on Serena's Neos.

 

Serena pushes a button on her duel disk and says, with a smile, “You're right, Jaden! This duel is over, but if I won't win, I can make sure that I don't lose! I play my final trap card! Final Fusion!” Serena's last face-down card is the Final Fusion trap slots and Jaden gasps in shock. Serena tells Jaden, with a sly grin, “With this card, our monsters are goners and we lose life-points equal to their combined attack power. So, you know what this means?”

 

Jaden says, with a smile, “Yep!” Neos glows with a bright rainbow glow, charges Jaden's Flare Neos, and when they get close to each other, their fists slam into each other causing a huge explosion that causes smoke to envelop the field as Jaden and Serena yelp out in shock as they are engulfed by the smoke of the explosion. When the explosion dies down, everyone is flabbergasted about what happened.

 

Tyranno calls out, stunned, “Sam hill! What an explosion!”

 

Lita says, shocked, “No kidding, Hassleberry!”

 

Mina yells out, curiously, “What happened?! Who won?!” When the smoke and dust die down, it reveals Serena and Jaden lying down on their sides of the dueling platform that they are on and both their life-point counters go down to zero at the same time, ending the duel in a tie.

Bonaparte yells out, in shock, “Unbelievable! This duel is a tie!”

 

Crowler asks Chancellor Sheppard, with a worried tone, “Chancellor, what should we do? We need a winner and this duel ended in a tie. What can we do about this?”

 

Chancellor Sheppard says, with a smile, “I know exactly what to do.” Chancellor Sheppard then takes the microphone and goes over towards the dueling platform as Serena slowly gets to the sitting position.

 

Serena shakes her head and says, with a slight groan, “Whoa. Anyone get the license of that truck?”

 

Just then a familiar male voice tells Serena, “Great duel, Serena!” Serena then looks to see Jaden sitting down in front of her and Jaden tells Serena, with a smile, “I never had a duel that was that much fun since . . . my duel with Zane during the graduation duel!”

 

Serena tells Jaden, with a smile, “Yeah, but our duel ended in a tie. Do you and I to duel again?”

 

Chancellor Sheppard's voice booms, “There is no need for that!” When the two Moon siblings look at Chancellor Sheppard, he says, over the microphone, “That was a remarkable duel! One that will be remembered in the anvils in dueling history! The two of you are truly remarkable duelists and you have given all of us one incredible duel! So, in light of this event and all that you have done to aid Duel Academy during these `chaos times' with the `mess' with the Society of Light and other `affairs', I declare that the final match of the tournament is a tie and that there are two winners! None other than Serena Tsukino and Jaden Yuki are declared the winner of the first ever GX tournament! Congratulations! Both of you deserve it with such an incredible duel! And the two of you shall represent us in the GX Duelist Kingdom tournament this coming summer vacation!”

 

Jaden yells out, excitedly, “Sweet!” Soon after, the audience stands up from their seats in the arena and starts to applaud the two of them for one great duel.

 

Serena tells Jaden, with a smile, “This is so cool!”

 

Jaden tells Serena, “You said it, Serena! By the way, since you tied with me, you and I are the top duelists of Duel Academy now.”

 

Serena asks Jaden, “Does that mean we have to duel again?”

 

Jaden tells Serena, with a smile. “You bet! We can't be the top duelists of Duel Academy forever. But that's a duel for another day because I need to relax.”

 

Serena replies, with a weary smile, “No joke, Jay!” The two of them collapse on their backs on the dueling platform and the audience applause becomes even louder before while the two of them have a good laugh. During this time, Serena's and Jaden's friends and beloveds run down from the audience to just in front of the dueling platform.

 

Tyranno tells Jaden, with a smile, “Hey, Sarge! Awesome duel! Now, that was some combat!”

 

Mina tells Serena, with a smile and excited tone, “Awesome duel, Serena! Even through you didn't win, you tied with Jaden! Now, you are the top duelist of Duel Academy with him!”

 

Serena says, with a smile, “That's a start.”

 

Jaden tells Serena, with his usual smile, “Don't get to use to it! We're going to have a rematch one day and find who are the one and only number one duelist of Duel Academy!”

 

Serena says, with a smile, “And I'll be waiting for that day, but for right now, I need a break.”

 

Jaden says, with a smile, “No joke, Serena.” Jaden wipes his forehead of some sweat that form on it.

 

Chancellor Sheppard asks the two of them, with a smile on his face and through the microphone, “Now, since both of you have been declared the GX tournament champions, both of you get one wish within reason. So, what will it be for you?”

 

Serena then says, with a smile, “Well, I would want is for the Obelisk Blue dorm to be restored in full before this whole `Society of Light' nonsense with school support and funding, but the students get the run the restoration. Plus, if it isn't too much trouble, I would like for my friends, Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino, Lita Kino, and Mina Aino, along with Jaden's pals, Bastion Misawa and Syrus Truesdale, to be promoted to Obelisk Blue immediately.” Serena's and Jaden's friends gasp in surprise, especially those that Serena mentioned, from Serena's `request'.

 

Chancellor Sheppard nods his head and says, with a smile, “Done. But with the great dueling records of your four friends in the tournament, all of them are a shoe-in for Obelisk Blue. Plus, with the skills of Bastion Misawa, he can get into Obelisk Blue immediately, he just refused the chance. And with Syrus Truesdale, I believe that he has the ability, he just needs the right motivation and improve his confidence. And I think that your friend, Hotaru Tomoe, is already in Obelisk Blue.” Chancellor Sheppard asks Jaden, curiously, “What about you, Jaden?”

 

Jaden says, with his usual smile, “Actually, Serena already covered my wish already expect for one minor detail.”

 

Chancellor Sheppard asks, curiously, “What is that, Jaden?”

 

Jaden tells Chancellor Sheppard, with a smile, “I also want Serena to go with her friends into Obelisk Blue.” Everyone, especially Serena, looks at Jaden with surprise.

 

Chancellor Sheppard says, with a smile, “Well, since Serena is the GX tournament champion along with you, Jaden, and with her impressive record here, I don't see why I should delay what was going do after the tournament is over. Done.”

 

Alexis asks Jaden, “What about you, Jaden?”

 

Jaden replies, with a smile, “What else do I need, Lex? I've got some sweet friends for one thing. I'm the top duelist in the school, along with Serena currently, and I've got the sweetest girlfriend in the entire universe. In my mind, I've got all that I need.”

 

Mindy says, with a smile, “Same old Jaden.”

 

Jasmine says, with a smile, “No kidding, Mindy. No wonder people tend to like him.”

 

Chazz asks, with a snort, “What does that Slacker got that I don't?”

 

Bastion tells Chazz, with a sly smile, “A unique look, excellent dueling skills, helped save the school and the universe, he's a hero, winning personality, and didn't get himself brainwashed by an alien freak trying to destroy the universe, who Jaden and Serena stopped I have got to say. Need I go on?”

 

Chazz yells at Bastion, annoyed, “I get it! I get it! But hey, I helped that Slacker and that Meatball Head too, you know?! So, I help save the universe, too!”

 

Jaden and Serena say in unison, with a smile on their lips, “Whatever, Chazz.” Soon enough, Alexis and Darien get on stage and help their beloveds to their feet.

 

Darien tells Serena, with a smile, “I'm so proud of you, Serena. You were incredible out there.”

 

Serena tells Darien, lovingly, “Thanks, Darien-chan.” Darien and Serena kiss each other on the lips, not caring if everyone was watching.

 

Chancellor Sheppard smiles warmly at this and he calls out, through the microphone, “Well, congratulations to Jaden Yuki and Serena Tsukino! I must say that they are finest duelists that I've ever seen since Zane Truesdale, Seto Kaiba, and Yugi Moto! And well done to all of you other participants and good luck on all of your future dueling endeavors! I declare the first GX tournament to be finally closed!” And with that, a final applause comes from the audience.

 

Jaden and Serena shout out in unison, “And that's game, everyone!” This causes more cheers to come from the audience, especially Duel Academy students from all of the dorms.

 

Rini says, with a low tone and smile, “Same old Meatball Head.”

Anyway, this is the first major multi-chapter story is complete and despite what kind of reviews that the ending brings, I can declare this story to be a great success! First of all, I would like to say thank you to all of you that review! It was you that kept this story going! Next, I would like to say that in the future, there is going to be a sequel into this story, but it will take time to develop the sequel! However, with all of the `development', thus far, this is the title for the sequel to this story! And like in this story, the couples are going to be Serena/Darien, Jaden/Alexis, Ami/Bastion, Mina/Atticus, Tyranno/Lita, Rei/Aster, and Syrus/Hotaru! Plus, there is going to be new Sailor Scouts appearing and more secrets of the Shadow Games of Pharaoh Atem's time and the Silver Millennium going to be revealed!
