ÒLosers go first, Davis.Ó Ken said in a harsh tone, which caused the Digidestined of Courage and Friendship to let out a small groan of frustration; however, he knew it wasn’t Ken’s fault for his words or actions, in which the leader of the younger Digidestined drew the sixth Card from the top of his Deck and began the Duel.
ÒI Summon Elemental HERO Bubbleman in Attack mode!Ó Davis announced, before the maroon haired teen stated. ÒAnd when Bubbleman’s the only HERO on my side of the Field, I get to draw two Cards.Ó
After Davis drew the top two Cards from his Deck, the Digidestined of Courage and Friendship then said. ÒI end my turn with three Cards face-down.Ó
ÒThen it’s my move, Davis.Ó Ken said as he drew the sixth Card from the top of his Deck.
ÒI activate the Spell: Worm Call!Ó Ken announced, before the former Digidestined of Kindness explained. ÒNow since you have a Monster on your side of the Field, I can Special Summon any Worm Monster in my hand to the Field in face-down Defense mode.Ó
It was then a vortex of blue energy appeared above Ken, before a giant trail of slime fell from the sky, transforming into a face-down Monster Card in front of Ken, before it was then the former Digidestined of Kindness placed another Monster Card on his Duel Disc and said. ÒNow I Summon another Monster in Defense mode and end my turn.Ó
ÒI Equip Bubbleman with the Spell: Bubble Blaster!Ó Davis announced as he placed the aforementioned Spell Card within the fourth slot of his Spell/Trap Card zone on his Duel Disc and then explained. ÒAnd thanks to Bubble Blaster, Bubbleman gains 800 Attack Points.Ó (800_1600)
ÒBubbleman, Attack!Ó Davis exclaimed, before it was then Bubbleman fired a blast of water from his shouter mounted cannon at the second Monster Ken had played, revealing it to be Worm Jetelikpse. (1200/0)
ÒAlright! With no Defense, Jetelikpse is going to become worm food!Ó Veemon stated enthusiastically, however, Ken suddenly replied as an arrogant smile appeared on his face. ÒI’m afraid not, Veemon.Ó
Veemon was confused, but his confusion was heightened when Bubbleman’s blast shot Worm Jetelikpse, causing it to burst and scatter into lumps of black sludge, however, it was then the sludge regrouped and stated to regenerate, until Jetelikpse was fully reformed.
ÒStill confused, Veemon?Ó Ken asked mockingly.
ÒThen allow me to explain. If Worm Jetelikpse is flipped on the same turn it was Destroyed, it automatically revives itself.Ó Ken told Veemon, which annoyed the Digimon and Digidestined of Miracles that Ken’s Monsters wouldn’t be going down so easily, in which Davis decided to end his turn.
ÒI Sacrifice Worm Jetelikpse to Summon Worm Warlord!Ó (2350/1800) Ken announced as Worm Jetelikpse was sent to the Graveyard and the powerhouse that was Worm Warlord emerged.
ÒWorm Warlord, Destroy Elemental HERO Bubbleman!Ó Ken commanded, however, as Worm Warlord let out a tremendous war cry, Davis stated. ÒSorry Ken, but thanks to Bubble Blaster, not only does Bubbleman get an Attack bonus, but my blaster will take the hit for Bubbleman if he get’s into trouble.Ó
ÒGuess again, Davis. I activate Mystical Space Typhoon!Ó Ken suddenly announced, before it was then a torrent of wind shot out from Ken’s Quick-Play Spell Card and Destroyed Davis’ Bubble Blaster, leaving him and Bubbleman vulnerable to Attacks and Damage.
ÒNow, your Bubble Blaster is gone and Bubbleman is powerless against my power! Attack with Warlord’s Wrath!Ó Ken then exclaimed in a commanding tone, in which Worm Warlord slammed his fists into Bubbleman’s chest, causing Davis’ Monster to shatter to pieces and for the leader of the younger Digidestined to groan out from as he was inflicted with 1550 Points of Damage, but that wasn’t going to stop him from saving his friend.
ÒI activate my Trap Card: Hero Signal!Ó Davis announced, revealing his third face-down Card, causing a light beckon with an ‘H’ symbol to appear in the sky, before the leader of the younger Digidestined explained. ÒSince you just Destroyed an Elemental HERO, another HERO can take his place. So come forth Elemental HERO Sparkman!Ó
‘Play all the HERO Monsters you like, Davis, but in the end nobody will save you and you will see the Light.’ Ken thought to himself, before he said. ÒI think that’s enough for now. I Set one Card and end my turn.Ó
Current Scores:
Davis: 2450
Ken: 4000
ÒI activate Graceful Charity. Now I get to draw three Cards but in exchange I must discard two afterwards.Ó Davis said as he drew the top three Cards from his Deck, before discarding two, Elemental HERO Avian and Elemental HERO Burstinatrix.
ÒNext, I Summon Necro Gardna (600/1300) in Defense mode! And then I activate Spark Blaster!Ó Davis announced, before it was then Necro Gardna appeared before his Summoner and the blaster materialized in Sparkman’s right hand, followed by Davis telling Ken. ÒNow, with each blast fired, I can change the mode of any Monster on the Field. And I think Sparkman will blast Worm Warlord!Ó
It was then Sparkman fired a blast of electricity from his blaster, striking Worm Warlord and forcing Ken’s Monster to shield his body with his spike covered, muscular and slime coated arms, but the Digidestined of Miracles was far from done.
ÒNext, I activate my face-down: Emergency Provisions!Ó Davis called out, and then went on by saying. ÒNow by Destroying my Spark Blaster Spell Card, I get back 1000 Life Points!Ó
ÒAnd now, I activate Polymerization! I fuse Sparkman and the Bladedge in my hand to Summon Elemental HERO Plasma Vice!" Davis announced, in which Sparkman and Bladedge began to swirl into one another, before they both began to glow brightly and then formed the Warrior of lightning.
ÒElemental HERO Plasma Vice Attack with Plasma Pulsation!Ó Davis then commanded, in which Elemental HERO Plasma Vice’s hands began to charge up with electricity, before the yellow armoured master of lightning fired volts of lightning from both hands, which struck and Destroyed Ken’s Worm Warlord, dealing him 800 Points of Damage due to Plasma Vice’s piercing Damage ability.
However, something was wrong when Davis and Veemon could see Ken was smiling and didn’t seem the least bit fazed by Davis’ Monster or Attack, and they were about to find out why.
ÒI must admit, Davis. I am impressed by your combination of Dueling skills and stubbornness to remain out of the Light for so long, but that will change now.Ó Ken told Davis, before he called out. ÒBecause I activate W Nebula Meteorite!Ó
ÒWith my Nebula Trap, my face-down Monster is flipped up. Behold, Worm Victory!Ó (0/2500) Ken announced as one of Ken’s most powerful Monsters was revealed, before the former Digidestined of Kindness stated. ÒAnd when Worm Victory is flipped, all Monsters, other than Reptile Worms, are sent to the Graveyard!Ó
ÒVicious Victory Evisceration!Ó Ken then called out commandingly, in which Worm Victory’s six arms rose up and sliced downwards in a V formation, creating a massive blast of pure devastation, which Destroyed both Sparkman and Necro Gardna, leaving Davis’ side of the Field void of Monsters.
ÒBut that’s not all. With the start of my turn, I’ll show you Worm Victory’s true power! And it will grant me my victory!Ó Ken then stated strongly, getting Davis and Veemon’s attention.
However, what other tricks Worm Victory had didn’t faze Davis as had faith in his Deck and Ken was just being used by Sartorius and his so-called destiny, the Digidestined of Miracles looked at his hand and told Ken in a determined tone as he placed a face-down, a Mirror Force he had drawn with Pot of Greed. ÒDon’t be too sure, Ken. The Duel is never over until the last Card is played.Ó
ÒDon’t give me that, Davis. You are powerless against the Society of Light and you cannot change your destiny to join us.Ó Ken replied, before it was then Davis and Veemon watched in awe as the sky turned a shining red and a massive meteor shot down, slamming into the ground beside Ken and his Worm Victory, before the former Digidestined of Kindness explained. ÒAnd now, the second stage of W Nebula Meteorite activates. At the end of the turn, all Monsters that were flipped by my Trap are flipped back face-down and I can Summon any Level 7 or higher Light Reptile Monster from my Deck.Ó
ÒAnd I choose a second Worm Victory!Ó Ken exclaimed, before it was then the first Worm Victory was forced back face-down, while the meteor began to crack and then burst open, revealing a second Worm Victory, only heightening Ken’s chances of victory.

As Ken began his turn and drew the top Card from his Deck, a sickly white aura encircled around him, causing a devious smile to appear on his face, before it was then Ken announced. ÒI shift my face-down Worm Victory back into Attack mode. And now, I Equip him with White Veil!Ó
Davis could only watch as Ken’s first Worm Victory’s skin turned a sickly pale white, showing how just like Ken, Worm Victory too was corrupted by the power of the Society of Light.
But it was then the former Digidestined of Kindness placed another Spell Card within the second slot of his Spell/Trap Card zone on his Duel Disc and then withdrew Worm Gulse (1500/300), Worm Rakuyeh (2100/1200), Worm Ugly (100/100) and Worm Solid (1000/1600), before discarding the Cards. ÒHere’s the true power of my Worm Victory. For every Reptile Worm Monster in my Graveyard Worm Victory gains 500 extra Attack Points. And with my Snake Rain Spell Card, I select four Reptiles from my Deck and send them straight to the Graveyard.Ó (0_3000)
Ò3000 Attack Points!?Ó Davis questioned in shock and disbelief.
ÒThat’s right, Davis! And now my Victory will be assured!Ó Ken claimed in an arrogant tone.
ÒWorm Victory one, Attack Davis directly!Ó Ken then commanded, in which the White Worm Victory obeyed and struck at Davis, who was unable to counter and cried out as he was slashed by all six of White Worm Victory’s claws and inflicted with 3000 Points of Damage, knocking him to the ground.
ÒDavis!Ó Veemon called out in concern as he could see ken wasn’t finished, demonstrated when Ken called out. ÒWorm Victory two, Attack!Ó
But it was then Davis suddenly announced as he got to his feet. ÒNot so fast, Ken! You activated my Trap Card!Ó
ÒWhat are you talking about?Ó Ken questioned in confusion, before he stated. ÒI Destroyed your Trap Cards with my White Veil.Ó
ÒExactly. I now activate my Trap Card: Dummy Marker!Ó Davis replied, before the maroon haired teen explained, before he drew the top Card from his Deck. ÒThis Trap can only be activated when my opponent sends it to the Graveyard, now I can draw one Card.Ó
ÒI knew you’d play White Veil sooner or later, so it looks like you’re the dummy here, Ken.Ó Davis joked, which only annoyed Ken and caused the former Digidestined of Kindness to exclaim. ÒThat won’t save you, Davis. Worm Victory two end Davis and this Duel!Ó
ÒMy Traps may not be able to, but this will, I play Necro Gardna’s special ability! By removing him from play, I don’t take any Damage from your Attack.Ó Davis told Ken, before it was then Necro Gardna appeared before Davis and took the hit from Ken’s Worm Victory, causing Ken to groan in frustration and annoyance, before he stated. ÒYou may’ve survived this time. But I will defeat you next turn. I end my turn.Ó

As Davis drew the top Card from his Deck, the Digidestined of Miracles told Ken. ÒSorry, Ken, but there isn’t going to be a next turn for you.Ó
Hearing Davis’ statement caused Ken to questioned in confusion and curiosity. ÒWhat are you talking about?
ÒWhy talk when I can show you?Ó Davis questioned back, before the leader of the younger Digidestined stated as he played two Spell Cards. ÒI activate Monster Reborn on Elemental HERO Plasma Vice. But he won’t be here for long, cause now I play Metamorphosis!Ó
ÒNow, by Sacrificing Plasma Vice, I can Special Summon any Fusion Monster whose Level was the same as Plasma Vice’s.Ó Davis explained, before he announced. ÒAnd since Plasma Vice was a Level 8 monster, I Summon Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman! (2500/2100)
As Plasma Vice vanished and Shining Flare Wingman took his place on Davis’ side of the Field, Ken had to shield his eyes for a moment from the pure light that radiated from Davis’ Monster, compared to the wicked light of his.
And when the light died down and Ken could see again, Davis then explained the Effect of his newly Summoned Monster. ÒAnd my Shining Flare Wingman is just like your Worm Victory, except he gets his power from his fellow HERO Monsters. For every Elemental HERO in my Graveyard Shining Flare Wingman gains 300 extra Attack Points.Ó
The spirits of Bubbleman, Avian, Burstinatrix, Sparkman, Bladedge and Plasma Vice then appeared around Shining Flare Wingman for a moment, before Shining Flare Wingman’s Attack got a boost of 1700 Points.
Ò4300 Attack!?Ó Ken questioned in shock.
ÒThat’s right, Ken.Ó Davis replied, before the maroon haired teen exclaimed. ÒGo, Shining Flare Wingman and Attack Worm Victory with Solar Flare!Ó
It was then Shining Flare Wingman slammed his right fist into White Worm Victory’s chest, causing the Worm to shatter and explode in a massive array of light, dealing 300 Points of Damage to Ken.
And it was then Davis told Ken in a strong tone of voice. ÒAnd when Shining Flare Wingman Destroys a Monster, you take Damage equal to the Attack of the Monster Destroyed!Ó
ÒNo! It was my destiny to beat you, Davis! This cannot be happening!Ó Ken exclaimed in shock and disbelief.
But before Ken could react or go on, Shining Flare Wingman appeared right in front of him and began to live up to his name as he shone brightly, causing Ken to cry out as he was inflicted with 3700 Points of Damage.
