Later that night, as Laliana went to sleep, she had the strangest dream. It was a dream about her past, but only a brief showing of her lost memory was shown to her. It was showing her a battle; against the guys that look like the ones she faced earlier, the same ones that jumped her for the first time. She tossed and turned in her sleep, as the dream went on.

 

 

 

Laliana: You, your army of wimps, and your little pet snake don't scare me and my massive army of angels, dragons and sorcerers.

 

 

Dartz: We'll just see about that, won't we Laliana. GO attack now!

 

 

Laliana: GO my army of Warriors, attack his army NOW!

 

 

The battle lasted for hours on end. It was the fiercest battle of all. Chris and Iron heart, along with her wolf Silver fang (don't know the wolf real name, bare with me), fought alongside with Laliana and her army (Alexiel, Setsuna, Korai, and Arachnia were there to help her. They were her best friends back then and will be in this story). The battle was over and Laliana's army had won, but the war between her and Dartz was not over yet. Before she could attack him with what energy she had left. She heard someone scream in pain behind her. She turned around slowly (anime style, you know how some turn around slowly, this is it). She let out a cry and charged at the great beast and Dartz (they fused together). Suddenly, she woke up from her dream in a deep cold sweat.

 

Laliana: What in the hell was that all about? Was I some sort of leader ten thousand years ago? Or what's the deal here? And whose voice was that? It almost sounded like… OMG! It can't be! Seto? Was he my sweetheart back then? Or am I just imagining things. I think I will stick with my second opinion on imagining things.

 

Later on, Laliana got dressed and headed out for a walk on a nice Sunday morning. There along the way back to the horse stables, she ran into Yugi and his friends.

 

Laliana: `Oh great, Yugi and his gang. I bet they want to know what the hell is going on around here, and I am their first target.'

 

Tea: Hey, Laliana.

Laliana: Hey Tea. What's up?

Tea: Not much, we were hoping to run into you.

Laliana: Really, how so.

Yugi: We don't mean to bug you, but do you have any….

Laliana: Idea of what's going on around here, right? (I better fake it to them; I really don't want them to know who I really am or what happened up in that sky battle). No I don't know what's going on around here really. But even if I did, I still wouldn't tell you guys.

Joey. Why not? We won't tell anyone else.

Laliana: Because I find it very hard to trust people now a days, and I don't like telling people a lot of stuff, especially of what happened yesterday. Now if you guys excuse me, I need to go….and don't bother following me and asking me again later, because I won't answer to anyone! (And with that, she walked off).

 

Yugi: Laliana wait. (He said shouting at her).

 

Suddenly, Seto and Mokuba walked over.

 

Seto: Do you geeks know how to leave anyone alone?

 

Joey grinned his teeth and said: What do you want moneybags?

 

Seto: None of your damn business what I want you little Chihuahua.

 

Joey: Say what (charges at Seto, but is held off by Duke and Tristan and Yami).

 

Yami: Take it easy Joey. We'll leave Laliana alone, for now. I know she knows what's going on around here, but won't tell us.

 

Seto: Laliana doesn't know what's going on around here either you weirdoes. Just mind your own business and stay out of other people's business. Come on Mokuba; let's go to the horse stables.

 

Mokuba; Coming big bro. (He said trying to catch up to Seto).

 

Duke: What a friendly visit that was.

 

Tristan: Gah, none of his visits are friendly. He's too into himself. The only thing he cares about is his company and Mokuba.

 

Yugi: `I don't know, he seems to like Laliana a lot. But I have a funny feeling they know more about what's going on.' (He said to Yami).

 

Yami: `Yes, I feel the same way. We need to get Laliana alone by herself, without having Kaiba and Mokuba as her bodyguards. She may know what's happening…and I think she does, but won't even tell Seto and Mokuba.)

Yugi: `Trying to get her alone and telling us what's going on, won't be very easy. Like she said, she doesn't trust people very easily now a days.'

Yami: `We'll figure something out. In the meantime, we'll let her cool off some.'

 

At the horse stables, Laliana got on Swiftwind, but this time, the owner, for some reason, said she could keep the horse. Laliana was surprised, and thanked the owner greatly. She entered the large extended arena and began to warm up Swiftwind.

 

(They both talk through telepathy)

 

Swiftwind: Glad to see you again, Laliana, Angel of Virtue.

Laliana: Swiftwind, I didn't know you could speak, but I thought it was you that last time I was here.

Swiftwind: It was, and I know you will need my help again, just as you did so long ago.

Laliana: So long ago? Explain yourself Swifty.

Swiftwind: You use to call me that all the time, Lal. (Starts a short story on how they both met).

Swiftwind: 12,000 years ago, when you were a newborn Angel to parents Grace and Bow. The whole kingdom cheered for joy, for the birth of the Angel of Virtue was born, and that Angel, was you. When you were about four, you were off playing in the field, and you heard a cry, a sad cry. You walked over to see what it was, and it was a baby winged unicorn had just lost its mother during a terrible storm that occurred the other night. She was struck by lightning, and her horn was broken, and her wings burned. The baby winged unicorn was frightened when you walked up to her at first, but as you kneeled down and stretched out your hand, the winged unicorn neighed and walked up to you slowly. You petted her gently and from that time on, you and that winged unicorn were best friends, and that winged unicorn, was me. When you were old enough to battle, I fought along side you, and used my magic to aide you with your attacks. When you fought during the Cosmic War of Brightmoon, I was seriously injured and could not aide you in battle.

 

Laliana: Was that your cry I heard in my dream last night?

Swiftwind: No, Laliana that was not me. I was in major pain just before the battle was over, but I stayed alive long enough to watch the ending and the war between you and Dartz. That scream you heard in your dream, was……

 

Suddenly, Laliana and Swiftwind heard Mokuba shout out

 

Mokuba: Hey Laliana! Thought we might find you here.

Laliana (to Swiftwind): `well continue this later Swifty.' “What's up kid?”

Mokuba: Not much… just trying to get my brother to ride one of the horses here at the stables. He's afraid he might fall off or something.

 

Seto (In the background): I am not afraid. I just don't feel like riding is all.

Laliana: Come on Seto. I bet you really are a good rider, you just won't admit it.

Seto: I am not.

Laliana: Stop being so damn negative, excuse my language Mokuba.

Mokuba: No biggie.

Laliana: Come on Seto; don't make us come over there. Mokuba might leash out his puppy dog face and throw one of his famous tantrums (winks at Mokuba, and he smiles.)

Seto: Fine, I will, but you have to come pick out a good horse for me.

Laliana: What. Can't find a good one by yourself now can ya? Guess I got to hold your hand to do it too.

 

Mokuba just about died laughing when he heard that from Laliana. He saw his brother turn bright red till Laliana spoke up again.

 

 

Laliana: Alright Seto, take a chill pill, or two…and I will come and pick one out for you.

She got off Swiftwind and went to go help Seto look for a good horse to ride. Mokuba couldn't help but laugh and smile. He thought it was just too cute that Seto is in need of some girl's help, especially a pretty one's help. Laliana and Seto looked around at the horses and Seto finally found one he was comfortable with. She couldn't help but smile. Seto had picked out a beautiful black stallion called Night Winds. She helped him saddle his horse and they entered in the arena. As soon as All three of them warmed up their horses, Seto, Laliana and Mokuba heard some voices they were very disgusted with. Apparently Yugi and the others are at the stables too on horses.

 

Laliana: Oh great…looks like we got company Seto.

Seto: Not you geeks again. Will you stop following us?

Joey: What's the matter? Trying to defend your new girlfriend?

Everyone else laughed, except for Laliana, Seto and Mokuba.

Laliana: Watch it Joey or I will get off my horse and kick your skinny ass from here to Egypt and back again if you don't watch that trap of yours.

Mokuba: I got an idea. Why don't we all go out to the field where they have a race track and have a race?

Laliana: Sounds like fun to me.

Swiftwind (to Laliana)' Let's do it Laliana. I am one of the fastest horses here, next to Night Wind, my mate.

Laliana (to Swiftwind): Your mate?

Swiftwind (to Laliana): Yes. The horse that Yami, Yugi and Mokuba are riding, are my babies. They are very fast, but not as quick as Night Wind and me.

Laliana (to Swiftwind): `Ah I see, well let's go race then shall we?'

 

Joey: Your gonna loose Laliana, and Rich boy

Tristan: Our horses will out run yours.

Laliana had a smirk on her face and said: We'll just see about that, now won't we.

 

They all went out to the track and got lined up for the race. The owner set off the horn after mark, set (horn goes off and the race begins). Laliana's horse, Swiftwind, paced herself, but stayed in the lead for awhile. Night Wind, her mate, caught up with her.

Night Wind (to Swiftwind): `Having fun my dear?'

Swiftwind (to Night Wind): Oh yeah, just a blast. See ya at the finish line sweetie.

She picked up the pace around the second straight, and caught up with Yugi and the others. Night Wind loved to race against his mate, so he picked up the pace too. Around the second turn, Swiftwind gave it her all and ran as quick as she could, so did Night Wind. But in the end, both Night Wind and Swiftwind ended up tying up in first, Mokuba in second, others, third, fourth, and last.

 

Laliana: Well mister smart ass, looks like my horse did outrun yours.

Joey: So it would seem.

Laliana: I know why you guys are here, and I told you before, I am not going to tell you anything I don't know. Now leave me alone.

Yami: I think you do know something, and are afraid to let it out.

Laliana: Shut it Yami. I've had enough! Stop following me! All of you!

Mokuba: Laliana wait!

Mokuba was hurt now. He had never seen Laliana that mad before. He turned around and snapped back

Mokuba; You guys don't know how to leave people alone, do you!?! DO YOU!?! Now she probably won't even speak to Seto and I, because of you!!!

Yami: We need her to tell…

Mokuba; I don't want to hear it! I've heard enough about destiny, what happened in the sky, and so on. You guys make me sick!

With that, Mokuba and Seto took off to go get Laliana, but Laliana had already went into the trees, after letting Swiftwind rest and eat some grass. Laliana was in tears (well, some). She was tired of being harassed by Yugi and his friends. Mokuba and Seto found Swiftwind nearby. Mokuba kept an eye on the horses, while Seto went and talked to Laliana.

 

Seto: You okay Laliana? (He asked concerned).

Laliana: No Seto, I'm not. I'm tired of being bothered by those guys. They never seem to shut up.

Seto: I know, tell me about it. They keep mentioning the same thing over and over, about what happened and some Angel that was in the sky.

 

Laliana was silent for a moment and she spoke up.

 

 

Laliana: Seto, I…..I have something to tell you and Mokuba. Can you call him over here please?

Seto: Sure. Mokuba! Come on over.

Mokuba: What is it bro?

Laliana stood up and held out her broach.

 

Up in the trees, Alexiel and the others were watching the whole thing from above.

Korai: I hope she knows what she's doing.

Alexiel: I hope so too. She better not be making a mistake.

Setsuna: you might make the mistake by talking too loud if you don't keep quiet.

 

Laliana: I found this on my nightstand the other day, and I had no clue how it got there. You know that angel you both saw in the sky?

Both: Yes?

Laliana: Well, I am that Angel.

 

Laliana placed her hands around the broach and focused on becoming the most powerful creature of the universe, The Angel of Virtue. As her clothes were stripped away, Seto and Mokuba were amazed at what they were seeing before their very eyes. Laliana's armor began to appear on her body, she was taller and her changed from blonde, to white, long and curly but straight. The last to appear were her wings and her mask. She looked at them both with her piercing blue eyes, and she also had a glow around her. What they were seeing right in front of them, they couldn't describe to anyone else.

 

Laliana: This broach gives me the power to transform into The Angel of Virtue. I was the one who was in the sky that day and killed the dragon with my sword.

Mokuba: Wow. This is so cool.

Laliana: It is, but you both have to promise me (she said with a serious look on her face), to NOT and I do mean NOT tell anyone my secret, especially the pep squad of Yugi and his gang. Promise me, the both of you.

Both: We promise Laliana. We won't tell anyone.

Laliana smiled and said: Thank You both. I trust you, and the only ones I will trust.

 

She changed back to her normal self and Mokuba went back to the horses to check on them. Seto looked at Laliana was amazement, and she looked at him back. He smiled at her, and leaned in to kiss her. She returned it back to him, and the kiss was soft, but passionate at the same time. Laliana felt something strange inside of her, like she knew this kiss before, but from where? (More to come later)
