He relaxed in his warm seat of gold as the sunset from without the high standing windows of his lair. Glancing from the windows to a statue in the center of the floor below him, he smirked as the two male figures lying at the bottom of the statue's base began to stir. "Awaken, my internees. We have much work to do." He stated, a glowing light appearing on his forehead.
It was then, with the passing of his words in the air, the statue began to crumble and crack. The eyes of the creature that it shaped came aglow with a bright, blood red luminosity. With a long, loud, and almost pain filled cry from it's freed lips, the rest of the stone that encased it fell to the cold, stone ground below, revealing what was a very vicious looking, female gargoyle. Using her purple, silver, and steal blue colored wings to help herself stretch by extending them as high and wide as she could, she closed her eyes. Opening them a moment later, the red color of them was gone. "Where am I?" She snarled, her voice filled with years of past darkness, crime, pain, and hatred. She shook dust and small pebbles of stone from her wild, crimson colored locks - the perfect hair color for one with hands stained with as much blood as that of hers.
"That is what I want to know…" Said a man to her left, a deep Scottish accent filling his male vocal cords. Rubbing the back of his gray streaked hair, he looked at the gargoyle, obviously knowing her from another time and place. He was taller then she - not that she was short herself. Where as his friend was clad in a tan, animal skin looking garment of a short, one strapped shirt that revealed her stomach and a skirt held to her waist with a belt, he himself was dressed in the finest of fashion - the blackest colored trench coat covered his upper body with a dark blue and silver accented shirt underneath, leather gloves matching his leather pants and black boots. His deep gray eyes conveyed a similar past to that of his companion - even though his eyes seemed to pierce one's soul to the very inner core and emotions that it held hidden away.
"I think that is something we all would like an answer to…" said a more oriental looking man, his long silver locks falling down onto his shoulders and into his face. His brown eyes were soft, hiding the conniving wretch that lied beneath his exterior. Once known as one of the greatest men in the modern business world, it was not a surprise that he too adorned the clothes of one that was well off in the ways of life. His light crimson blazer and matching pants brought out the deep tones of his eyes, making him the dream of many girls that he knew. He too was a man of good stature and height - though he was much more lean then that on he other side of the room from him.
"If you three would stop cackling, I would answer all of your questions and more…" Said the man that had called them to awaken from their slumbers. "I am sorry that I so rudely brought you here the way that I did, but I had no other way… That is without leaving my home, the shadows."
"Who are you, smart ass?!" The gargoyle roared before charging at him. "Tell us!"
With a wave of his hand, the man sent her flying back into the Scottish one, who braved her as not to fall over himself. "Be patient… The three God cards of the Duel Monster world have been destroyed, making my plan to obtain them harder then I thought it would…"
"My God cards! NO! Who did this?!" Said the man in crimson.
"Calm yourself! I will not talk to one with such ill respect!" He hissed at the opposing man. "It was done by the order of Ishizu… damn her for tricking Kaiba into making his damned tournament…"
"What… or should I say whom are you talking about?" the Gargoyle growled, a little confused.
"Seto Kaiba, the most renowned duelist on earth." Said the one with brown eyes.
"And what does he have to do with us?" the Scottish man asked.
"That is what I will tell you… I need to use the god cards to activate the powers of all the Millennium Items… you will learn about them with time, Demona and McBeth. I know all too well that you, Pegasus, know more about these treasures then you should…"
"What…" they chorused in bewilderment.
"How do you know such things?!" Pegasus stepped closer to him, soft anger in his eyes.
"That is none of your concern…" the man said, his figure not moving from the shadows that surrounded him for a moment. "But, I need all of you…"
"What's in it for us?" Demona folded her arms over her chest, a skeptical look on her face.
"Nothing less then immortality, my dear…" He said, a soft sneer sparkling at her.
"I would rather another gift then that." Pegasus said under his breath.
"Well, then I will restore your dear Cecelia to you, if that is what you wish! NOW LISTEN!" he boomed, agitated with their dragging out with the matter. "Since there are no God cards for me to use in my plan any longer, I need to create ones of my own, now don't I?"
"And? Why do you need us for that, laddie?" the one known as McBeth asked with a narrowed gaze at him.
"Well… I was wondering what the world would think of if we were to create God cards of souls…" Seeing that they were about to ask more questions, he reached his hand out, the symbol of a Phoenix launching out at them before he stated, "Your resistance is futile… you all will understand my plan in time… now… go! Do my bidding!"
