Bottle of Rum, Pills and Fate

Chapter 5: Exhausted Dreams, Our Anniversary, Bedroom fun, Almost Perfect...

~Kim's P.o.V.~

I yawned lightly, it was 4 in the afternoon and I was fucking exhausted now. Two twin daughters was hard work. I laid my head on the table, closing my eyes, resting until Seto came home. My head seemed to cloud over as I drifted off to sleep...

I saw mist around me and then, it was Max, lying on the ground. Meg and Sarah were yelling at each other with her sleeping body in between them. She was barely breathing and the landscape faded into a hospital room where she was hooked up to different equipment. I tried to wake her and Meg and Sarah were yelling louder. Max wouldn't wake up...

"Kim, I'm home..." Seto called, waking me up. Aerylis and Reika started crying again. I lifted my head from the kitchen table and looked at him, standing in the doorway. He smiled lightly,"I'll take care of them..." he said, walking upstairs to the nursery room. I stood up and walked to the downstairs living room, lying on the couch, thinking about what I had just dreamt...it...was just a dream right? Seto interrupted my thoughts and came back downstairs, sitting by my feet, leaning across me, kissing me on the lips. I smiled, kissing back. "How was your day...?" he asked, kissing me down my neck. I smirked,"Fine...I have something for you..." I whispered, sitting up, gesturing to make him follow me. He chuckled and stood up,"You remembered...our first anniversary..." he said. I nodded, my hands closing around the collar of his trench coat, pulling him along. I kissed him on the lips, half way up the stairs, peeling off his coat, my shirt ended up falling to the ground along with it. I chuckled and continued to half pull, and half be pushed along to our private part of the house. He shut the door of our bedroom quietly and kissed me deeply, unhooking my bra. I smirked and pulled his shirt off, still kissing. We eventually got into bed...

It was a few hours later, we had fallen asleep in each other's arms. I opened my eyes and smiled at my sleeping husband, kissing him right below the ear gently,"Happy anniversary..." I whispered. He groaned lightly and opened his eyes, his hand resting on my waist. I smirked,"Was it enjoyable?" I asked, laying my arms on his shoulders lightly. He smirked and whispered,"The best..." kissing my forehead. I smiled and stroked his hand gently as we laid there, tangled in blankets, in silence. "I still need to get you your present from my coat pocket..." He said suddenly. I smiled,"What could it be, Mr. Kaiba?" I asked, kissing him. He smirked, rolling out of the bed and slipping on some boxers spiffy like,"You shall see, Mrs. Kaiba..." and he walked down the hall to get whatever it was he had for me. I yawned and closed my eyes, waiting. My t-shirt hit my head and I opened an eye, looking at him,"Thank you? It's what I've always wanted, Seto..." I said, smirking. He chuckled and climbed back into bed next to me. I snuggled close to him as he opened a small box and showed it to me. "Three diamonds...past, present and future...or...then, now and forever?" he said, kissing my forehead. I smiled as he slipped it on my finger,"Something like that haha..." I said, kissing him again. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close,"I love you, Kim..." he whispered. I let my head rest on his shoulder,"I love you too, Seto..." I whispered back. I yawned again lightly. It was like...almost 9 at night now. "Tired?" he asked, stroking my hair. I shrugged,"...you?" I asked. He smirked,"I could last a bit longer..." he whispered. I chuckled,"Now now Mr. Kaiba..." I whispered to him...

Then, it was 11. Time flew by when, ahem, having fun. I almost expected the phone to ring, considering it was movie night. It was supposed to be anyway... Meg and Max usually called us after the movie just to tease. They hadn't done that in weeks. So everything was perfect at home, I had a great husband, two great daughters and I loved them all. With my friends, it wasn't perfect. So my life was almost perfect, right? I sighed, stroking Seto's hair,"...what more can I ask for...?" I whispered to myself, drifting back to sleep, my husband's arms around me. The next morning would be the same, we would wake up to Aerylis and Reika...same shit...nothing had changed, I just had to convince that to myself...
