A figure had fallen to its knees, crying. The tanned body wracked with sobs.
"I don't see why you care so much." Said a sneering voice.
"Because I loved her. You loved her!" Said the one on the floor.
"Correction. YOU loved her. I could care less. You forget little light, the darkness, that is to say, I, was sealed. You, the light, were reborn. Along with any of those, emotions." Said the one standing.
"Why? Why did you make him do it? What was the point?"
"The point? Must you have a reason for everything?" The one standing vanished a second before the rod the kneeling one threw hit him.
The one kneeling stood, wiping tears from his eyes. "I have to make sure nobody else harms her. I own her that much." He said quietly. HE picked up the rod he had thrown, and sat down on his throne.

"You really shouldn't have run Usagi." Said Pegasus with a smirk.
"I had to help my brother."
"Tsk, tsk, I'm afraid, I'll have to take your soul now."
Usagi's eyes widened, and her soul was gone.

Maric cried out in rage. "DAMMIT PEGASUS!" He yelled. He had barely managed to locate Usagi when Pegasus had banished her soul.
He sat back in a huff. He couldn't interfere. It was not his job.
In his soul room, Malik was laughing. Maric ignored him.

A few days passed. The Duelist Kingdom finals were in full swing. With Yami's help, Yugi beat Mai, and after, Jou defeated Bandit Keith.
Bakura had recognized him as the one who had "hit-on" Usagi in the beginning of the tournament. He smirked when the man fell through the trapdoor.
But that didn't matter. All that did was to find Usagi. Bakura, having taken control of Ryou's body, crept quietly away from the others.
/Bakura, be careful! Don't let them catch you!/ Came Ryou's worried mental voice.
Bakura nearly snorted. //Honestly Ryou, I am a tomb robber for Ra's sake!// (Um, yeah, it's really spelled R-e, but I've used R-a so far and I would just confuse myself.)
/I know, but, I don't want you getting into trouble!/
//You worry to much.//
/No, you just don't worry enough./
//Shaddup// Bakura slammed up a mental block.
"Now if I was Usagi where would I be?" Mumbled Bakura. The first answer was the arcade, but that didn't apply here.
Bakura crept silently through the halls. He very quickly found himself in a hallway with only two doors. Perplexed, he stopped before them. They were situated in the middle of the hall, directly opposite of each other.
One had a picture of a winged unicorn on it, a Pegasus. The other door was much plainer, but if one looked closely, one would see a tiny bunny drawn in a corner of the door. Bakura smirked, and opened the door.
Sitting on a large bad in the corner was Usagi.
Bakura hurried over. "Ren!"
Usagi's eyes were blank. Bakura shook her gently. "C'mon snap out of it!" He said desperately. She didn't respond. Growling, Bakura picked her up. As he walked out of the room, he smirked. This position reminded him of a time in Egypt, a few days before that illness, that terrible illness, claimed his sister's life.
Quickly and quietly Bakura made his way back to the dueling arena. Pegasus and Yugi were now dueling. Jou looked up when Bakura entered, Usagi cradled in his arms.
"Where were you? Where'd ya find her?" He asked.
"In a room, where else?" Snapped Bakura. He looked down at the girl he held. 'I won't fail you this time, Ren, I swear.'
Pegasus took the duel to the Shadow Realm, Bakura turned to the others. "I'm going to try to find Mokuba. Keep an eye on Usagi for me." He said, before hurrying off.

Bakura watched as the Shadow Realm faded away. Yugi and the Pharaoh had won. Bakura watched as, unnoticed, Pegasus slipped away.
Frowning, Bakura took off after him, carrying Usagi in his arms.
Upon reaching Pegasus's sanctuary, having been there once before he could easily find it, Bakura peeked inside.
There stood Pegasus in front of a line of cards. The very same ones that held all the souls he had stolen.
Bakura watched as he released the souls. He looked down at Usagi. She did not stir. Bakura frowned. 'That's not right. She should awaken as soon as her soul is released.'
Bakura turned his attention back to Pegasus.
"I have released the souls little Yugi wanted. The Kaiba brothers, and Yugi's grandfather. However...little Moon Princess's soul is mine." Said Pegasus. He held up the last card which contained Usagi's soul.
Bakura frowned. He kicked open the door. Pegasus whirled around.
"Who are you?! How dare you enter my private sanctuary!" Exclaimed Pegasus.
"I am a very pissed off brother. And if you don't return my sister's soul I will be forced to kill you." Said Bakura, his voice a deadly calm.
Pegasus chuckled. "You are in no position to make demands."
"Then I challenge you to a shadow game!" Growled Bakura.
They begun Bakura's 'game' and it quickly became clear that Pegasus was going to lose. Pegasus was blasted back several feet.
"Now, free my sister's soul and I might consider not taking your millennium item." Snarled Bakura, glaring down at Pegasus with contempt.
"Very well..." Said Pegasus. He held up Usagi's soul card. His millennium eye glowed, and the card became blank.
Bakura smirked. "I think I'll take the eye now."
Pegasus's Amber eye widened. "But-but you-you said..."
"Never believe a tomb robber." Said Bakura, before he removed Pegasus's millennium eye.

Bakura gave control over to Ryou as soon as he reached the others. Ryou blinked, confused, then decided he didn't want to know what his yami had been up to.
Usagi began to stir. Ryou nearly dropped her. He didn't realize he'd been holding her.
"Ryou?" She looked up at him questioningly.
"I'll explain later." He whispered.

As everyone left the palace Seto headed to his chopper.
Usagi hurried up to him. "Seto, wait!"
"What's the matter?" Asked Seto.
"We kinda need a ride home." Said Usagi sheepishly.
Seto laughed. The rest of the group stared at him.
"I suppose that goes for the rest of you?" They all nodded.
"Everybody in! Move it!" Shouted Mokuba.
