Chapter Five: A Kiss

 

Hotaru got on her motorcycle so she could catch up with Varon and Raphael. She was thinking about Dartz and nothing else. (Who thinks that he's brain washing her?) She let the wind run across her skin.

When she finally arrived at the place where Mia was dueling Joey she slowly got off to sense that someone was watching her. She went in to se Varon with a smile on his face. Raphael was just watching not showing emotion.

“Ha, who are you?” Joey asked as he looked at Hotaru.

“None of your business,” Hotaru said rudely.

“Hotaru! What are you doing here?” asked Mia.

“I wanted to see Wheeler lose,” Hotaru smirked.

“What the heck did I do to you?” Joey asked.

“Oh it's nothing personal I just want to see people who have done wrong get what they deserve.”

“If you haven't noticed you're the one who trying to take over the world!” Joey yelled.

“Shut up Wheeler,” Mia said dueling him.

 

With Amara and Seto

 

Now they were both in his blue eyes white dragon plane. No one had said a thing, but Mockoba was trying to start a conversation with Amara.

“Amara, why were you at Pegasus's place?” Mockoba asked.

“My adoptive daughter, Hotaru, disappeared a couple days ago. Pegasus said that he knew what was going on,” Amara was then interrupted by Kaiba.

“And you believed him because?” Seto chuckled.

“No, but I was forced by my cousin.”

“Who's she?” he asked in almost interest.

“Michelle,” with that being said Mockoba nearly had a heart attack because he knew who that was.

“The same Michelle who is the famous musician?!” Mockoba asked.

“Yes, but she's kind of a pain.”

 

With Hotaru and Mia

 

“I summon Time wizard and my dragon! Then fuse them together to get….” Joey yelled as his dragon and time wizard turned into a….Hammer with wings?

“What?!” Joey yelled with a large sweat drop.

“Wow, I shacking in me boots!” Varon said laughing.

“What kind of monster is that?” Hotaru asked with a large sweat drop behind her head.

“Uhhh, that's not good,” Joey said.

“Don't under estimate them,” Hotaru said looking at it.

“Well, attack!” Joey said this as his monster made a hole on the ground and then numbers appeared on Mia's harpy ladies and harpy's pet dragon.

“Come on do something!” Joey said, but his monster did nothing.

Yami was busy looking at the girl. She was wearing a black shirt with a black jacket and pants and shoes. He noted that she had pale skin making her look sickly, but the power that Yami was sensing was making him have second thoughts. It wasn't her power the caught him off guard it was her goddess like beauty. Her eyes filled with hatred and anger, but he could tell that something was hidden behind those eyes. Something kind , gentle. And he wanted to see it. He knew that she was dangerous, but something about her made his pulse race.

 

 

With the other sailor scouts

 

“Amy! What happened?!” Serena cried as she picked up her friend.

“Ha, guys it's a note,” Michelle said as a note fell from Amy's hands.

“What it say?” Rye asked.

“It says:

Soon there will be a new kind of world. A world that doesn't have you. A world of happiness and kindness, but for this to happen the world must get rid of all it's evil.

“Hotaru wouldn't do this!” Trista screamed.

“No no no!” Michelle screamed.

 

With Amara

 

“What going on?” Amara asked looking threw the glass door.

“Wheeler is dueling someone,” Kaiba said.

“I know that! But who's wining?” Amara asked annoyed.

“Mia,” Kaiba said with a smirk. He smirked at her because he was having fun making her lose her temper so quickly,

“That is it! I tried to be nice, I have tried to be kind, but you are pushing it!” Amara said walking up to Seto face to face. Mockoba had this evil grin on his face as he watched Kaiba fight back.

“I'm sick of you being a…” Seto was about to course, but decided not to since Mockoba was there.

“Want to whisper that in my ear so Mockoba doesn't have to hear it?” Amara said this with a smirk on her face. Seto slowly nodded and went to her ear not realizing that how he was going to have to put his face really close to hers.

“I'm sick of you being a beautiful goddess,” Seto blinked then Amara as he pulled his head back. Seto just realized what he just said and he was pretty much hitting himself on the head for saying it.

Amara was trying to get out of the daydream that her mind landed her in when he said that. Amara was also trying to figure out if this was the same Kaiba that she met or if it was just some freak who was took over his body.

Mockoba didn't hear it, but something told him that it wasn't the world that he thought his brother was going to say because Amara wasn't yelling nor was she screaming at the top of her lungs nor was his brother. Mockoba just decided to turn his attention back to the duel.

Amara didn't know why nor did Kaiba why she did the next thing that she did. Amara softly placed her lips on his. Her eyes quickly closed as Seto tangled his fingers in her hair. Amara was able to slip her arms around his neck as he let one of his arms encircle around her waist. (and Mockoba who had this evil grin is not noticing this?)

`What the hell am I doing?' Amara and Kaiba both thought quickly letting go of the other.

“Lets pretend that didn't happen,” Seto said to Amara as she nodded in agreement.

 

With Joey and Mia

 

“Next time you use a card Wheeler, make sure you know how to use it,” Mia said this as her dragon attacked.

“I wouldn't do that if I were her,” Raphael said as Hotaru agreed with him.

“Mia don't!” Varon said.

“I use this trap card to get rid of that dragon,” Joey said as Mia life points took the turn for the worst.

“No, I can't go back there,” Mia said wrapping her arms around herself.

“Mia, what's wrong?” Joey asked.

“Mia!” Varon yelled.

“Don't worry we'll get a soul no matter who loses,” Hotaru said.

“No,” Varon said as he jumped down.

“What are you doing?!” Raphael said or yelled.

“With this piece of the seal, I'll break the seal,” Varon said hitting his fist against the seal.

“What?! Joey,” Yami said as the smoke cleared to see Varon holding Mie.

“What did you do? You did this for some girl Varon?” Hotaru said with a look of disgust.

“She's not just some girl!” Varon cried.

“I'll make up for this, pharaoh by taking your soul,” Hotaru said as they disappeared.

Yami didn't know why, but pleasant shivers went up his spin when she said his name, well when she talked to him. Yami shook off the feeling to see if Joey was okay.

“Where's Mia?” Joey asked.

“They took her,” Yami said as he saw Kaiba, Mockoba, and some guy come in.

“Kaiba, what are you doing here and who's he?” Joey asked.

“Pegasus,” Kaiba said in one word, “if you really were smart Wheeler you could tell that, `he' was really a `she'.” Kaiba said with a smirk.

“You mean that guy is really a girl?” Tea said.

“Yeah, and by the way have you seen a girl with black hair that goes to her shoulders?” Amara asked as the others looked at her.

“Is her name Hotaru?” Yami asked.

“Yeah, how did you know?” Amara asked.

“She's with them,” Joey said as Amara took a step back in disbelief.

“No, not Firefly,” she felt her legs stiffen as she let small tears fall out of her eyes.

“I'm afraid so,” Joey said.

“You're laying!” Amara yelled.

“Ha, guys I found a room where Pegasus might have wanted you to go,” Duke said.

“Take us to it,” Yami said.

 

With Michelle

 

Michelle slowly walked up the steps of the Ancient Egypt exhibit.

“Hello,” said a man with blonde hair.

“Hello,” Michelle said as she followed him.

 

With Yami and the others

 

“Pegasus,” Yami said as a hologram came up in the strange room that they had entered.

“Yugi boy, well I hope it's you. If you are in this room then that means that the men who were after me finally got my soul.

Amara, are you here? If so I guess you are wondering where Hotaru is. Hotaru was framed for the crime you thought she committed. After being hurt so badly by you she ran away and a man named Dartz found her. She is now in his mind controlled state.

Dartz wants to control the world by awakening the great beast called the Lathein. A beast that was born ten thousand years ago. A beast that feeds on souls… I have a card for you. It's in the pot of green as you can see,” Yami nodded as he held the blank card.

“That is all I have to say. Oh and Amara, tell Trista that I miss her very much,” he said as the hologram vanished.

“Oh my god, Hotaru,” Amara said.

Unknowing to them a demon was about to make her first move, but the angel was fighting desperately to get out before she does the worse thing.
