The tournament finally did begin, and as Diana wandered in the streets of Domino, something caught her eye. A girl with waist length black hair and red bangs was standing among the crowd. "Is that who I think it is?" Diana managed to push her way through the crowd. "Heaven Akita? What are YOU doing here?" Heaven was a nickname for Rayna, Diana's best friend. Heaven turned to her and replied, "There you are! Well, you see, I signed up for the tournament, and both of us came here to surprise you! Only I can't find Kage anywhere... oh well, surprise!" This was a pleasant surprise but Diana had bigger things on her mind right now. "Heaven, Kage has been kidnapped." Heaven's dark brown eyes filled with worry. "That explains why I couldn't find her! She was coming here on another flight but I've been waiting here ever since! Who kidnapped her?" "All I know is, they're a bunch of hooded lunatics trying to take over the world and take my Tiara." "Your Millenium Tiara? What would they need that for?" "I'm not exactly sure, but we have to rescue Kage and stop their plans." The two of them split up to search Domino City in hopes of finding her. Heaven had been searching through streets and alleys until a man in a purple cloak stood in her way.
"Excuse me, I gotta get through I'm in a hurry." "I'm afraid I can't let you do that... but I do know what you're looking for." Heaven stopped in her tracks. "What are you talking about?" "You're looking for your friend aren't you?" Heaven suddenly realized who this man was... "You're one of those guys who are trying to take over the world aren't you?" He just chuckled and replied, "If that's how you want to put it than yes. I am Shroud and I have been sent here to stop you." His face was covered in a black mask except for his gray eyes and dark brown hair. Heaven activated her duel disk. "Fine, but we'll have to make this quick." Shroud had activated his duel disk as well. "Let's duel!"
