[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
This is my very first story that I've written. I'm just changing the names sorta.
I do not own Yugioh, the school, Nixa, and everything else. Enjoy.
A Dying Angel
“Well, here I am,” said 13 year old Yume Mikomi to herself. It was the warm September over in Nixa, Missouri. Yume was going into Nixa Junior High for the first time. When she was about to enter the school, her foster parents yelled at her.
“Yume Mikomi! You are to come straight home after school!” cried her foster mother, Mai.
“What if I don't?” Yume asked Mai.
“If you don't, then you'll get punished,” said her foster father named Jou Tsuki.
“Like I won't,” Yume said to herself, “Well, I'll see ya. Later.” Then Yume went into the school. She was really happy being able to go to school. Yume was abandoned at the age of six. When she was twelve, she got adopted. Ever since then, she got beaten up for being so different. Yume thought that even though she's different, she shouldn't get punished.
Yume first went to the office to get her schedule. “Hi, I'm a new student here.”
The faculty woman looked up at Yume from filing her nails. “What's your name hun?”
“Yume Mikomi. I'm in the 7th grade from Tokyo,” Yume told the faculty.
“One thing to know, Yume, is to not dye your hair,” the faculty lady said while giving Yume her schedule.
“Oh, I didn't dye my hair, it's natural,” Yume said.
“Oh, ok,” the lady said, “You're on the red team, the counselor will come and show you around the school.”
“Ok,” Yume simply said. Soon the counselor came and took Yume to her classes.
“Hi Yume, I'm the red team counselor, Mr. Baka,” said the freaky dude a little too cheerfully, “Please come with me.”
“Okay,” Yume said with a fake smile.
The guy showed Yume to Nurse Chi, the cafeteria, the gym, the dormitory and to all of her classes. Then he took her to her fourth hour class which was P.E./Health Girls. “Here you are, to your fourth hour class. If you get lost, just ask the students. Okay?” Mr. Baka said.
“'kay,” Yume said, going into the health classroom.
“Class, we've got a new student,” said the coach, “Her name is Yume Mikomi, how about telling the class about yourself?”
“Sure,” Yume agreed, “My name is Yume Mikomi, I'm 13 years old from Tokyo, Japan. I've always had pale skin and snowy white, spiky hair. I was abandoned in the dangerous part of Tokyo at age six and was adopted at age twelve. My birthday is July 14, 1990. I have always been different from everyone else. I am really kind except when people bug me. I like to draw, write songs, and sing. I hope to become a cartoonist when I grow up. That's all.”
When Yume was done, a girl with shoulder length brown hair by the name of Anzu raised her hand. “Yes?”
“Why are you wearing a sweatshirt during summer?” Anzu asked.
“I like to wear them,” Yume lied. The truth was she had to them to cover her cuts. Another girl with short black hair raised her hand. “Yes?”
“Do you always wear them?” the girl asked.
“No, other times I wear long sleeves. You could say that long sleeves are my signature clothing,” Yume said while unconsciously lifting up her arms which caused her sweatshirt to lift up over her waist. When everyone saw her stomach, their eyes were like saucers. Yume got annoyed by this. “What, do I have something on my face?”
“No, but you do have something on your stomach,” said another girl pointing to Yume's stomach to confirm what she meant.
“Huh?” Yume was confused. So she looked down to see her cuts and bruises showing. She quickly shoved her sweatshirt down to cover her wounds but winced by having the material rubbing over some of the cuts. “Oh, i-it's nothing. I-I just… fell down the the stairs.” She stuttered hoping that the people bought it. “C-could I sit down now?”
“Yes, you can,” the coach said.
`This is hard with a police officer here,” Yume thought. All of her classes were like fourth hour. She kept on unconsciously lifting her arms, showing her stomach, then having to lie about it. `Hopefully they bought it,' she kept on thinking. In most of her classes, she sat by a guy with platinum blond hair and violet eyes named Malik Ishtar who she became best friends with.
When Yume got home, she was met with a punch to the cheek. “What the heck were you thinking telling everyone what we do to you?!” cried Mai angrily, “We got a call from Social Services that they were going to take you away if we don't change!”
“Hey! I didn't tell anyone! They probably didn't believe me, so don't blame me!” Yume yelled back, “All you do is beat me up for no apparent reason! When something goes wrong, you punish me! Why don't you face your problems instead of beating me up!” Mai then kicked Yume in the stomach making her to cough up blood. After that, Jou took out a pocket knife and stabbed her in the side.
“Never say that to your mother and I!” he said, “You obviously don't know any-thing so keep your mouth shut you idiot!”
“First, I'm not related to you, second, you don't own me, and third, I know more than you'll ever know so I'd be quiet if I were you!” Yume yelled.
“Why you little!” Jou cried. He slammed Yume to the wall and grabbed her by the neck tightly while punching her in the chest repeatedly. One of the punches almost landed on her heart-shaped crystal that held her life force. Jou then let Yume go having her fall to the ground.
“I can't take this anymore!” Yume cried, “You're trying to kill me just to get over you problems! Leave me out of them. I'm leaving this stupid place and am never coming back! Do not at all try to look for me! GOODBYE!” with that said, Yume got her bags, let her angelic wings out, opened the door, and flew off to her school to think on things. `Aw man,' she thought, `What am I going to do now? I can't go back `cause they'll kill me and I don't know where anybody lives. Wait, I do know where Malik lives, so I'll go over there.'
When Yume made up her mind, she got her things, let her wings back out, and flew to Malik's house. She rung the doorbell when she got there.
“Hey Yume,” Malik said, “What's wrong?”
“It's a long story,” Yume said, “Could I come inside?”
“Sure,” Malik said getting out of the way to let Yume inside.
“Thank you,” Yume said coming inside with Malik.
Unknown to the two friends, there was someone watching them.
“He he he. So that's where you're hiding little demon princess. You best find your soul mate or else, you'll die. Mwahahahahaha!” the guy said as he waited `till dark.
Back in Malik's house, Yume was telling Malik about everything while he cared for her wounds. Yume was in tears when she was finished.
“I don't want to go back Malik, I just don't,” she said, “You're not going to make me go back, are you?”
“Don't worry, I'm not going to make you go back,” Malik said sweetly, “And I'm not going to have anyone take you away.”
“You promise?” Yume asked.
“I promise,” Malik said kindly.
“Thank you Malik, thank you,” Yume said.
“It's okay,” Malik said, “I'm done with your wounds.”
“Thanks,” Yume smiled at Malik. `I hope Malik is my soul mate,' she thought, `He makes me smile even in the toughest of times. I love him so much. I hope he loves me back.'
“…What do you think?” Malik asked.
“Huh?” Yume asked.
“I'm thinking you'll need stitched for some of these cuts,” Malik said, “What do you think?”
“I guess that would be a good idea,” Yume said unsured, “But could we wait `till tomorrow? I'm kind of tired.”
“Ok, I'm tired too,” Malik said yawning, “You could sleep in the guest bedroom if you want.”
“Ok, thank you Malik,” Yume said.
“No problem, I like to help,” Malik said smiling, “Just give a shout if you need anything. Okay?”
“Ok,” Yume said smiling back.
“Well, I'll see you in the morning,” Malik said, “Good night Yume.”
“Good night Malik,” Yume said.
When Malik woke up the next morning and was checking up on Yume, he saw that she was gone. Instead, he saw a note on the bed. Malik opened up the note and read it aloud.
“My dear prince,
I have your girlfriend with me. Don't worry, she's safe, for now. We are at the old house next to the high school in Nixa. Bring your special knife at 9 o'clock tonight if you want to see your girlfriend again.
Sincerely,
The kidnapper”
When Malik was done reading the ransom note, he looked up at the clock to see that it was 11 o'clock a.m. `ten more hours `till nine,' Malik thought, `I better get ready for tonight.' So he got a white t-shirt on plus a pair of blue jeans and went down to the basement. He practiced kick-boxing and karate for several hours down there. It was 5 p.m. when Malik finally took a break. He went to his room and changed into a white button up shirt and a pair of faded jeans. The Blond haired demon got some food into him and set his alarm clock to 8:40 p.m. so he could rest.
When it came to 8:40, Malik got some shoes on, got his special knife, and left. It took the fox demon 15 minutes to get to the old house. Malik opened the door and went inside. The door shut and locked itself when he got inside.
“I thought I told you to come at nine o'clock, not eight fifty-five,” the kidnapper said.
“Have you ever heard of being early?” Malik said mostly to hisself, “Well, here I am and I have what you want, now give back Yume!” Malik threw the knife on the ground in front of him. “Where is she?!”
“Why she's right here with me,” the guy said.
“Why don't you come down here so I could see you and bring Yume,” Malik said.
“That is what I was going to do,” kidnapper dude said, “Just be patient.” With that said, the guy jumped off the staircase with Yume in his arms. When the dude got into the light, Malik noticed him as the thief who wanted immortality named Seto Kaiba. He had blue eyes and brown hair that seemed to get in his eyes alot.
“Why do you want my knife Seto?” Malik asked.
“Do you know what this knife is used for?” Seto asked.
“Of course, it's a knife used for carving,” Malik said.
“No, it's a knife used to kill immortals,” Seto said, “The blade is a poisonous stone. Anybody cut with it dies. So here's your girlfriend.” Seto then threw Yume to the ground.
“Yume! Are you ok?” Malik asked.
“Yes, I am,” Yume said, “Malik, could I ask you something?”
“Sure, what is it?” Malik asked.
“Do you…ummm… Do you love me?” she asked.
“Huh?” Malik was confused.
“Do you love me? More than a sister of a friend,” Yume said, “Like we were soul mates, do you love me that much?”
“Of course I do,” Malik said smiling, “I feel like we were destined for each other. Do you feel the same way?”
“Yes, I do,” Yume said smiling back, “Maybe we could do something.”
“Ok,” Malik said and locked lips with Yume. This was no minor kiss. It was a kiss of love and passion. Something to know that it was meant to be, a loving heart.
“Oh jeez,” Seto, the guy that was ignored through all of this said, “Why don't you two get a room.”
“Huh?” Malik was surprised, “Oh, it was just you. We didn't notice you were there.”
Then there was a bright light coming from Yume's pink heart-shaped crystal that went to Malik's chest that formed into a blue tear-shaped crystal when the light died down.
“I was right,” Yume said, “We are meant for each other.”
“What do you mean Yume?” Malik asked.
“When I kiss a guy whom I'm meant to be with, a crystal will form on their chest,” Yume explained, “Now you're immortal like me.”
“Ok,” Malik said. He then turned to Seto, who was once again ignored and said, “Let's get rid of this guy first.”
“Oh yeah, now you notice me,” Seto said really annoyed.
“Yeah,” Yume said, “Let's use our powers together to defeat this guy.”
“Ok,” Shuichi said, “On the count of three…one…two…three! Millennium Whip!”
“Bubble Blast!” Yume cried.
Seto then disappeared from this galaxy and everything went back to normal.
Five years later, Malik and Yume got married in the St. Louis Temple on March 12, 2008 then moved to Tokyo, Japan where they lived happily ever after. There was something that Yume noticed when Malik and she destroyed Seto, everything was supposed to happen. She was supposed to be abandoned and get adopted by abusive parents. It was so she could be stronger. Yume was supposed to move to Nixa to meet and marry Malik. Yume was a dying angel, a broken soul that could never be fixed. A toy to be played with and to be broken to bits. Malik was the light, the glue to put her back into place. Sleeping and dreaming with so much grace. Together they'll be happy together. Angel and light, lover and dreamer. Together forever.
