A Fishy Tale

Chapter 6

As evening fell over the small, fishing village, Ten had everything set. He had the tank, and the water, now all he needed was that stupid merman. He waited quietly until the young boy fell asleep, as well as his grandfather. Ten snuck into the home quietly and towards the bath that held the thing he was after. He poured the sleeping salt into the pool, and watched as the body came floating up to the top of the pool. Ten dragged him up out of the pool, and out of the house.

....

Yugi woke in the morning and ran to go tell Yami some good news about his getting out of school early for his good grades. Only, when he got there, Yami wasn't in the pool. "No....", Yugi whispered, before running to see if Seto knew what was going on.

....

Seto sat on his couch watching the new conference with his enemy, Ten. "We have sources that say that you have discovered a new humanoid type of creature, is this true? And if so, when will you allow news coverage about it?", a man asked.

"I will be showing it tomorrow morning, at ten twenty five.", Ten informed him.

"No, he couldn't have.... Shit, he must have!", Seto told himself getting up and heading outside.

....

Yugi, and Seto ran into each other half- way there, Yugi already in tears. As Seto informed Yugi of what he suspected. "What do we do?!", Yugi asked.

"We do what we must.", Seto explained, "While I distract him with a little meeting between the two of our companies you get Yami...", Seto explained.

....

"Welcome, Ten, shall we have dinner or would you rather discuss business first?", Seto asked, holding the door open.

"I do not care which.", Ten said smugly.

'I hope Yugi is doing better than I am....', Seto thought to himself.

....

Yugi ran through a hallway in a large, abandoned building. "Yami?", he asked as he made it to a zoo like room. It held many endangered species in cages, and tanks all down the halls, and rooms. Soon, Yugi came upon one room that had a huge tank in the center. Yugi ran up to it, and put his face to the glass. Yami came up to Yugi. "Yami...", Yugi quietly whispered.

Yami came to the top. "Yugi.... Yugi....", Yami cleared his throat, "Yugi, there's a blanket over there, get it, and I can jump out.",

Yugi nodded, and did as Yami said. Yami crawled his way so he sat on the edge, before falling down onto the blanket. Yugi started to drag Yami out of the building, and soon the two were safely back at the ocean, where Yami moisturized his tail, and Yugi soaked the blanket. Then, Yugi continued to drag Yami home. Only Yami stopped him, "Maybe it's best I just move on.", Yami whispered.

"What do you mean?", Yugi asked.

"Ten will know where I have gone, Yugi, I can't take that risk, or endanger you.", Yami explained.

"Wait here for a couple seconds, Yami, and I'll be back.", Yugi said.

As Yugi came running back up the beach, he was taking off his clothing. "I've left a letter for Grandpa, Yami.", Yugi explained, "I want to go with you.",

"Yugi....", Yami whispered, "You shouldn't...",

"I want to, Yami. I want to be with you!", Yugi explained.

"Yugi... Yugi, come here.", Yami held his arms apart, "All right, if it's really what you want.",

Yugi dove into the deep pool of water, as Yami wrapped his arms around Yugi's waist. Yami started to chant the spell, and let it fall gently as a thick blanket over Yugi. "Yami....", Yugi whispered.

Yami felt Yugi enter himself gently, curiously, even before the change was complete. Yami returned the show of affection, and Yugi smiled gently. Soon, the change was done. Yugi, and Yami left the little town, and swam towards the sunrise. "Yami, can we come to visit Grandpa, and Seto next year?", Yugi asked.

"Sure we can, Yugi, whatever you want, love.", Yami said in Yugi's ear, before nibbling gently on his neck, "Anything for you, my koi.",
