Ok everyone. How are you liking it so far? I want to thank everyone for reviewing.. I really appreciate. Oh, and one of my reviews brought up a point. La Che`... she was telling me that I had a few spelling errors in here. I want to apologize for all of those, but you see... when I'm typing these chapters up, It's very dark. There's barely any light, so I can't really see the keyboard too well. I'll try not to mess up, but I can't make any promises, due to the circumstances. But, thanks.. I greatly appreciate the concern! Keep reading and reviewing, you guys!

They were on line, waiting for the people in front of them to make their order. They seemed to be taking forever. It was almost as if they were trying to start a conversation with the cashier. Finally... it was their turn. Ryou stepped up to the man, not even looking at his face. Alexandra studied the man from behind. It's not like she knew anyone around here to recognize, but she just wanted to look anyway. The young cashier had narrow brown eyes. He had long blonde hair, that pointed up, then came down, slightly covering his face. She had been listening to his voice as he took the other orders, and his speech pattern seemed so familiar to her. It was no wonder.... he had a Brooklyn accent, and that is where she had come from. Alexandra stepped up beside Ryou, and looked at the young man behind the counter. " Excuse me, sir," she said politely. " May I ask you your name?" " Joey," he replied.

Ryou looked up at the sound of one of his closest friend's name being said. Oddly enough... it was the same Joey that he knew... but.. but what was he doing here? " Joey.." he asked " What are you doing working in a small place like this? I didn't think you'd be working yet ( he didn't mean the offensively), what's going on?"

" Ryou... that's no way to talk to someone you just met!" Ryou only smiled at her. "Don't worry, " he said. " Joey here is one of my best friends, Alexandra. We've known each other for years."

" Oh." Was all she could say. "So Ryou, " Joey smirked. " You finally managed ta pick someone up.... I'm proud of ya, man." Alexandra was outraged by the fact that this "Joey" person talked about her like she was some kind of object. "Be careful," Joey grinned. " It ain't easy to play somebody... not all girls will crack dat easy, either." Alexandra calmly walked up to the counter. She gave Joey a warm look before >>>>>>>>>>> <SMACK><<<<<<<<<<<. " Look, sir!" she said sternly. " Do I LOOK like an X-box to you?! Do I LOOK like a Nitendo? Joey only shook his head.. he was afraid of her rage. " Alright then, that's what I thought.. because rest assured, I am NO game station, I am NOT meant to be played." She stormed off and sat down in an unoccupied booth.

Ryou sweatdropped. She sure knew how to speak her mind, and he greatly respected that. He admired the fact that she wasn't afraid to stand up for herself, something he had trouble doing. He looked at Joey, who was now shaking in his spot. "Um.... er...uh... here." Joey handed him two cups of soda. Ryou had ordered a cola for himself, and an orange soda for Alexandra, knowing it was her favorite. He went to pay for them, until a strong hand stop him from doing so by waving in front of his face. "It's.... it's... on the h-house..." Joey was trembling. Never before had a girl stood up to him like that. He was known as one of the toughest guys out there, and he was just stood up by some new girl. Boy, did he have a lot to work on.

Alexandra sat at the booth, looking out of the window. She had finally cooled off, but was deep in thought. Ryou sat across from her. Her called her name softly, but she did not respond. What got her attention was the small clink of the glasses touching the surface of the table when Ryou placed them down. " Here... I got this for you, I know that orange is your favorite." He handed her the glass. Her eyes shown deep gratitude as they widened at the sight of her favorite drink. He smiled knowing he had made her happy. They both happily sipped at their beverages..... however, Ryou couldn't take the slience any longer.

"Um... Alexandra..I- I wanted to apologize for my friend, Joey. He's really a nice guy once you get to know him... he's just a little.. well.. a little too free with his mouth. But other than that.. he's a really great guy and I hope you two can get along..." Alexandra smiled at his innocence. " Ryou, there's no need to say sorry for him. I'm the one who should be apologizing. I really shouldn't have snapped like that." "No, No... don't be sorry Alexandra!" Ryou smiled. " It's good that you didn't take that from him.. it's very respectable."

So, the remainder of the time spent in the soda bar was really nothing but idle chit chat. The two got to know each other a little better, and any tension that had possibly grown between the two, relieved. They had decided that it would be better for them to leave now, before it got too late. They had stood up and walked to the door. Alexandra had told Ryou to go on ahead.. that she'd be there in a second. Once Ryou had walked out of the door, and was out of hearing distance... she turned back and gave Joey one final glare. " Never........play with fire." And with that she walked out of the door.
