You poked the food. Your weren't really hungry, even though you only had toast for breakfast. You sighed rather loudly just thinking. 'Wow, yesterday I was all excited, but today I'm like this. Damn mood swings.' You felt a tap on your shoulder. And you turned around to face that Yugi kid. Joey was with him, and so was this girl and this other guy. The girl had very short brown hair, chin length actually. And the other guy also had brown hair. Except(A/N I'm trying to write this part without laughing) it was rather pointed. 'I'm guessing I should stay away from his hair...don't want to get cut.'(A/N hehe) They all sat down with you. You didn't pay much attention to their presence. Until Yugi spoke.
"__, this is Tea and Tristan."
They waved at you, and you waved back, but thats all you did. You were too busy thinking. That's what you mostly did.miss my friends in America, if only they could've came with me. But where would they stay? Not with me. The whole point of going to Japan was to get away from mom. Not for having slumber parties with my friends. I wish mom was never abusive. I'd still be in America. Though here people do seem nice. But how would I know? I've just met them. It's not like I've known them my entire life. Not like my friends in America, even when I moved there it was only to a different city. And I still visited all my friends but here, here I can on talk to them online.'
Another tap on your shoulder.
"Huh?" You turned to face Yugi.
"I asked if you play Duel Monsters."
"No, sorry. I've never heard of it."
"Oh that's ok."
And he let you go back to your thinking. But instead you took out your journal and started to draw. Just things that came to your head. Nobody was really paying attention to what you were doing. They just started talking about Duel Monsters.
The bell rang and you got up. Looking at your scheduel and heading towards your next class. (A/N I don't feel like explaining class. So lets skip to the end of the day!)the end of the day you were actually relieved.
"Man, America, Japan, no matter which country I'm in school still sucks."
You notice a boy with white hair walking past you. Ryou.
"Hey Ryou!" You yelled walking towards him.
"Hi."
"So where are you going?" 'Grr! That was such a stupid question!'
"Ehh...home."
"Sorry, that was a stupid question!"
"You know, you really should stop beating yourself up."
"People always tell me that."
"Well they're right. You really shouldn't."
"I'll try not to."
"I got to go, ok?"
"Yah. Ok, bye!" You say as you watch him leave. 'He's actually cute. No bad __!!! You don't know him much! Don't think like that until you actually know him.' You headed home. But you remembered, your aunt didn't give you any keys.
"Aw shit!" You cursed loudly. Making people watch you. You growled. 'How could she forget to give me the keys?!' You growled again, and sat on your front steps. You took out your journal and started to write:
[This day isn't going so well. I'm on my steps right now, because Helen forgot to give me the keys. How could she foret? Isn't it easy to remember things like this? Well besides this everything else is a little ok. Though this day could be better! I met a few people. Ryou, Yugi, Joey, Tea, and Tristan. But that's pretty much it. I'm really starting to miss America. At least back there I had keys. But I never really liked going inside my house. I usually stayed over my friends house. Until mom forbidded it. She said that I had to come home everyday after school. But home really wasn't home. She got drunk very easy. And she usually hung out at the bar two blocks away. And she always came home and hour late. How the hell did she survive? Alchohol never worked for me. I didn't like the taste...and the affect it had on me. I should have never tried it. Of course you already know that. I've written so many entries about this. Half of this journal is filled with stuff about my mother drinking. Ugh, I'm gonna stop writing now, I'm bringing back too many memories. Might as well take a walk.]
You closed your jouranl and got up. You started walking, you didn't know where you were going, but you didn't care. You just kept walking.
"Hey __!" You heard a familiar voice. Ryou again.
"Hi." You smiled weakly.
"What's wrong?"
"N-nothing, I jsut remembered stuff that I didn't want to remember. That's all."
"Um ok."
"Well, well. Who's this your speaking to?" You heard a guy say. And right behind Ryou was..anothere Ryou?! Huh?
"Ryou who's this?"
"Ehh..this is my..brother."
"Why wasn't he in school?"
"Umm..cause he dropped out."

"Hello." He sayd while shaking your hand.

"Bakura."
"Bakura? Doesn't that get confusing?" You looked at Ryou. He seemed nervous, like a 50 foot snake was behind you.
"Ok what's going on?" You asked and shot a glare at 'Bakura'. Ryou sighed and decided to spill his guts.
"Come on, follow me." Is all he says and you follow him inside.I don't have to explain everything cause you guys know the whole story, so lets just skip to your reaction!)
"Are you serious?"
"Yes." Ryou says hoping you believe him.
"Cool."
"What?"
"I said cool."
"Umm ok." Is all Ryou says.
"Anyway I gotta go, my aunts probably home by now. I think."
"Ok Bye."
As soon as you leave Bakura turns to Ryou.
"She's cute." A smirks appears on his face and Ryou just gets up and heads for the kitchen. (A/N but lets get back to you.)
"God I hope Helen's home." You say as you hurry up a little. And when you get home to try to turn the knob. Open. And there was Helen. Her arms were crossed and she didn't look so happy.
"Where were you?" Yeah she's really not happy.
"I was just walking."
"Why didn't you wait for me?"
"I don't know."
"You don't know? Than who knows?"
"Please don't yell at me. You're reminding me about mom."
"Don't compare me to her. Cause I don't drink, and I do care about you."
"I just took a walk that's it! It's not a big deal!"
"Yes it is! I thought somebody took you!"
"I can take care of myself I'm not stupid enough to let some stranger take me!"
"Worse things could have happened!"
"I'm not going off having sex with guys!" Your aunt let out a big sigh when you said this. She sat on the couch behind her. Resting her face in her palms.
"Look I'm sorry." You say as you try going near her.
"Just promise me you won't do it again."
"Promise."
"Fine. And here," She throws you a key."You're going to need that everyday."
"Ok thanks." And you head for your room.
