Chapter 3

Yugi's mind was racing as Yami devoured his lips with another heated kiss. Yami pulled away for a minute as he again reached under the bed pulling out a small bottle that put a curious look on Yugi's face before he blushed deeply. `Do I really want this? Yes, I want it but it's not right, I can't betray my friends. They need my help.' Yugi had made his decision this was so wrong he had to escape.

"Yami…." Yugi whimpered. "Yes my pet?" Yami cooed looking into Yugi's eyes. Yugi hesitated a moment before saying, "Yami...these handcuffs are hurting my wrists…please take them off…please." Yugi almost begged. Yami set the bottle down, reached over to the nightstand next to the bed, and opened the draw and pulled a small black key out. Yami then reached up to Yugi's wrists and attempted to unlock them.

Once unlocked Yami took Yugi's wrists into his hands kissing the red marks that they had caused. Yugi gulped, now was his only time to escape, but…Yami would be heart broken. Yugi thought for a moment tears almost coming to his eyes. `This is so hard,' Yugi thought. `But they need me. I am there leader, they are lost otherwise.' Yugi stated. `I am sorry Yami.'

Yugi attempted to push Yami off with his hands. Yami looked down at him with a curious look in his eyes. "Yugi?" "Let me go Yami, please!" Yugi said struggling harder. Yami held him down though. "Yugi hold still, stop!" "No!" Yugi yelled before kneeing yami in the stomach. Yami's eyes went wide and he clutched his stomach trying to breathe.

Yugi then pushed him off and got off the bed quickly. He managed to get his leather pants back on before running out of the room. He ran down the halls of the old castle looking frantically for the other two. "Ryou! Malik! Where are you?!" He yelled running to the end of one hall.

He then found the stairs and went down them quickly, Yami would soon catch him. He ran around down stairs for a couple of minuets before he ran into something hard. "What are you doing down here?!" The other spat. Yugi looked up to see that face so much like Malik's yet so different at the same time. Yugi scooted away from the other as he stalked closer.

"Get away!" Yugi cried and backed up against a wall. The other only smirked and drew closer, to close for comfort until he was bent down in front of Yugi. Yugi's breath caught in his throat as a dagger was pushed against his neck. "You never answered my question." The other said. "Please…"Yugi squeaked. The other only pressed harder with the dagger causing Yugi to gasp and close his eyes tightly.

"What are you doing?" A familiar voice brought Yugi's eyes open. "Your highness." The sandy-colored haired boy said before drawing away from Yugi and standing up. Yami stood there in his leather pants too and nothing more except he wore Yugi's choker on his neck. Yugi raised an eyebrow. "I was o-only asking him what he was doing down here sir then I-I was going to take him b-back to you." The boy explained.

"I see," said yami not at all amused. `Is he still mad at me?' Yugi questioned. Yami looked at Yugi, Yugi felt a shiver run down his spine as those eyes pierced right through him. Yami was defiantly upset, his eyes were almost heart wrenching. Yugi almost gasped at those crimson eyes. "Did you lock up the others?" Yami questioned.

"Yes sir." The other replied nodding his head once. "Good, have him join them." Yami said glancing at Yugi. Yugi felt horrible, Yami was mad.

"Yes your highness." "Thank you Marik." Yami said before turning and leaving, going back up the stairs. Marik came towards Yugi. Yugi panicked and looked around for some way to get away, but there was none. Marik quickly grabbed Yugi and they were enveloped in a black smoke.

When the smoke cleared Yugi looked around. He saw Marik standing in front of him. "See ya kid and have fun," was all he said before disappearing once again in a puff of black smoke. Yugi now took in his surroundings. He was in a cell of some sort with metal bars all the way around until them came to the cold brick wall.

Across from Yugi's cell was another cell, and sitting in it against the wall were…Ryou and Malik. "Ryou, Malik!" Yugi yelled running to the front of his cell and clutching the bars in his hands. They looked bad. Ryou was bruised and scratched in various places and had his eyes closed. Malik wasn't as bad but had his eyes closed too, however they snapped open at the sound of his name.

"Y-yugi?" Malik said weakly. "Yes I'm right here. "Yugi said tears welling up in his eyes. "It will be ok." "I am sorry sir." Malik choked out. Yugi's heart nearly wrenched, "I'm sorry, we failed you." "no, No Malik it's ok. Just don't speak…you need to rest." Yugi said his eyes softening as Malik slowly shut his eyes. "thank you your highness." Malik whispered.

"Your welcome," Yugi said slowly sitting down against the wall so he could watch over the two. If only he was over there then he could maybe help them. Ryou still hadn't opened his eyes yet. Yugi could see his chest rising up and down though in a shallow motion. `At least he is still breathing.' Yugi said.

A while later Malik opened his eyes again and sat up some wincing in the process. Yugi noticed and also stood up going over to the front of his cell once again so he was closer to the boys. "Malik?" yugi questioned. "Yes?" "are you ok?" "I have been better, but I am ok." Malik was feeling a bit better and almost back to his normal self. Yugi sighed in relief but then looked at Ryou.

"Malik, he still hasn't opened his eyes yet." Yugi said. Malik looked over at the other boy. He scooted closer to him and put his hand to his forehead stroking it gently, "Ryou?" yugi watched with worry in his eyes he felt so helpless sitting over there only able to watch his injured friends and not help.

"Ryou?" Malik said again shaking his shoulder gently. Ryou only made a sound akin to a whimper and still didn't open his eyes. He had lost a lot of blood not to mention the puddle on the floor coming from some where a little inappropriate. "Bakura didn't take it so easy with him, Yugi." Malik said lowering his head. "Bakura had him just how he wanted him, I saw it all...but I could help him your highness! I am sorry, if only I was stronger!" Malik almost sobbed. "Please forgive me!"

"Malik its ok, shhh don't worry its not your fault." "I could have done something about it though! But Marik kept hurting me!" Malik choked out. Yugi tried to calm his friend, "It not your fault Malik." Yugi said, `It's mine' He thought lowering his eyes to the floor. `if only I got there sooner. I let yami do what he wanted to me though.' Yugi hit the floor with his fist. "please don't be angry at me." Malik whispered.

"I am not mad at you Malik, I am mad at my self. I could have escaped way before you guys were hurt….but I didn't." yugi whispered the last part. Malik looked at him, whipping his eyes with his hands. Yugi looked back up, "Malik can you still teleport?" Malik looked away, "no…Marik took my power away from me with a potion he forced me to take." "Damn." Yugi said.

"We have to get out of here some how, " he said studying the cell and walls.

Malik only sat watching over Ryou while yugi sat and pondered a bit. Then he stood up and yelled, "It's impossible! There isn't anyway out of here!" Malik looked at Yugi his eyes sad. Yugi through his fists at the wall and tried to break through the metal bars.

"Your highness don't you will only hurt yourself." Malik said. "Eeerr don't call me that! My name is yugi ok?!" Malik winced at the harshness of the others voice. Yugi sighed and slid down against the bars his back to Malik." I'm sorry Malik, I …I just…I don't know." Yugi said putting his head in his hands. Malik looked away and now paid attention to Ryou once again.

Malik stroked Ryou's white locks as he watched over him. Ryou shifted slightly and cracked an eye open. "Ryou?" Malik said in surprise. "Yugi, Ryou's awake!" yugi turned around, "Ryou?" Ryou sat up some but only cried out and fell back against Malik. "Don't move Ryou, you're hurt." Malik said. Ryou only leaned against Malik and sighed. Malik ran his hands over Ryou's bare chest comfortingly.

"Ryou are you ok?" Ryou looked over and saw yugi. "Yugi! You're ok!" Ryou said with glee. "who cares about me, we thought we lost you." yugi stated. "But you are more important than me, it's a good thing you are ok." Ryou said. "Hey, You listen to me! Not one of you is less important than I am, you got that? It's a good thing that you two are not dead either, ok?" The two nodded and smiled.

"Good" Yugi said. "now to get out of this stupid dungeon." Yugi said. "The keys are on the wall over there." Ryou said pointing to a wall a good distance away. Yugi saw the keys hanging on the wall and thought a moment. "Do you still have your powers Ryou?" yugi asked. "Yes sir." Ryou said. Yugi sighed, "Really I am not gonna tell you guys again, call me Yugi." They nodded.

"Ok Ryou do you think you can get me those keys?" Yugi asked. "I think so." Ryou said looking at the wall with the keys. Ryou then closed his eyes and began to chant some spell; his one hand out in front of him where the keys were on the wall. The keys began to glow and they slowly came off the hook on the wall. The keys slowly came across the room to where Yugi was.

"I can't do this much longer!" Ryou said before slowly loosing his hold on the keys. "Yugi he still to weak." Malik cried. "Only a little bit farther." Yugi said reaching his arm through the bars. Ryou suddenly collapsed against Malik the keys falling to the ground with a `clink'. Yugi pulled bent down and tried to reach them with his hand stretching out his fingers, but they were still just out of his reach.

Yugi pulled his arm back in and then turned around, his tail flicking out through the bars. Stretching out his tail as far as it could go he managed to snatch the keys, "Aha!" Yugi triumphantly said bring the keys to his hands. He took the keys and went to the door of his cell. He snaked his hand around to the front giving it a couple tries before finding the hole and opening the cell door.

"Yes!" Malik said as Yugi stepped out of his cell and came over to there's. Malik stood up first then attempted to help Ryou up. Ryou struggled even with the help of his taller friend. "Ryou come on." Malik said. "I know." Ryou stated then got up, wincing as he stood. He was in so much pain. Malik wrapped his arm around his waist to help him walk. Yugi now stood at the entrance of their cell with the door open, "Come on you two, I know your hurt but this might be our only chance. " Yugi said glancing at the winding steps that would lead them up and out of the dungeon.

They slowly came out of their cell following Yugi to the stairs, "Hurry." Yugi said about to go up the steps. However Yugi stooped in his tracts and back away from the steps wide eyed. Ryou and Malik looked up to see Yugi backing away form the steps, his eyes wide. Yugi motioned them back with his hand.

At that moment they saw a fair sized wolf come striding down the stairs. The wolf was the shade of midnight; pure black, with red eyes alight with an eerie glow, its teeth showing, and drool dripping from its mouth. The wolf approached and stopped in front of the three, growling and snarling. Yugi and the others were frozen in fear, they were trapped and the wolf could rip them apart if it wished.

`That's that same wolf,' Yugi thought studying the creature. `The wolf that looks so much like…' Yugi's thought were interrupted however with a voice. "What have we here?" Yami came down the stairs and stood behind the wolf, "Trying to escape are we?" Yami smirked, "God job Kami, I can always count on you." Yami ruffled the wolf's hair and it sat next to his feet.

"Your stronger than I thought, Yugi." Yami said looking into Yugi's eyes. Yugi looked away trying not to make eye contact. "Why do you not look at me Yugi?" Yami asked his voice dripping with lust. "L-leave me a-alone Yami." Yugi said still looking away. "But I thought you wanted my attention Yugi, that's what you said upstairs is it not?" yami said.

Yugi kept silent and stared at a spot on the wall. Ryou and Malik looked at each other, "What does he mean Yugi?" Ryou asked. "Oh I mean that Yugi here, let you guys get hurt because he was busy loving on me, am I right Yugi?" "No!" Yugi protested. "Then explain this to your friends." Yami said pulling off Yugi's choker, "Your choker…Your bites." Yami pointed to his neck.

The bite Yugi had given him was still there as well as a hickey or two. Ryou and Malik looked at Yugi eyes wide and mouth agape. "But Yugi…"Ryou started. Yami smirked, "And what about your neck Yugi?" Yugi covered the bite on his neck with his hands. Malik however ripped Yugi's hands away and saw the bite his eyes narrowing.

Yugi pushed him away, not to hard though. Malik looked away in disgust.

Yami however loved every minuet of it. `Being evil is so fun.' He thought. "But he made me do it Malik!" Yugi yelled to the other. "I am so sure he did, didn't he. And you didn't try to stop him did you!?" Malik yelled crossing his arms.

Yugi's heart hurt so badly, guilt filled his eyes as they began to water. "Malik I'm so sorry!" Yugi yelled clutching onto Malik's arm. Malik pulled it away though and stepped away from Yugi. "You made us suffer Yugi!" Malik yelled at him. "I didn't mean too!" "But you saw what was happening to us and you could have helped! You were right it's not my fault it's yours!" Malik said going back to Ryou, "Come on Ryou lets go."

He said Ryou clutching onto Malik for support to walk. "Some leader…I thought you were better than that Yugi." Ryou said as they walked by. Yami willingly let them walk pass him and up the stairs. Yugi felt so bad, tears began to stream down his face. "Please wait! I'm sorry you guys!" Yugi tried to run after them but was stopped by the black wolf. It blocked his way as he saw the two boys disappear up the stairs. Yugi stared as his only friends walked out of his life forever. Yugi felt a horrible jolt in his stomach and he collapsed to the floor breaking down in choked sobs pounding his fist into the floor.

Yami watched the little one cry and couldn't help but fell sorry for him, but he shook it off and walked over to Yugi bending down next to him. Yugi looked up from the floor into those red eyes. Yami looked into Yugi's violet ones now red and drenched with tear. Yami let his hand touch Yugi's cheek whipping away some of the new tears falling.

Yugi however slapped Yami's hand away and looked back down sobbing more. Yugi's body shook with his sobs. Yami put his hand on Yugi's back and drew meaningless patterns. Yugi pulled away though and scooted back farther until he was against the wall. He turned sideways and brought his knees up to his chest and hugged them as he still sobbed.

`How can he being trying to comfort me!? He did this doesn't he see that, Ryou and Malik are gone!' Yugi cried in his head. `Why would he comfort me and think I would allow it after he did that too me?!" Yami stood up scratching the wolf by his side behind the ear; it let its tongue come out and closed its eyes in contempt. Yami smiled down at the wolf whose ears were now up and it looked almost like a playful puppy.

"That will be all Kami." Yami said. The wolf withdrew its tongue and obediently left trotting up the stairs. Yami now turned his attention to the little Tenshi crying in the back of the room. Yami approached Yugi but was stopped when he heard that voice, "Stop! Leave me alone Yami!…I hate you." Yugi whispered the last part.

Yami stood there looking at the little one still crying into his knees hiding his face. Yami felt his heart almost hurt at the sight. Yugi still cried his shoulders shaking. `He hates me?' Yami questioned, `I didn't really want that.' Yami said to himself. Yami however kept going over to Yugi until he was right next to him. Yami bent down and tried again to touch the little one but again his hand was slapped away.

So yami could only sit there and watch Yugi cry. It seemed as though he would never stop, Yami was almost becoming annoyed by it. And also by the way he couldn't comfort Yugi. His plan wasn't going as well as he would have hoped. "They were my only friends," Yugi finally said. Yami looked at Yugi his face not unhidden and red from crying, his cheeks also wet. Yami felt his heart wrench at the sight.

Did he really care that much for Yugi? "And you drove them away Yami." Yugi choked back more sobs trying to escape. "I did nothing of the sort, it is not only my fault. You did what you did too you know." Yami said. Yugi looked over at Yami his face angry and hurt, "They are gone Yami! They hate me now!" "I don't blame them, they trusted you." "I trusted you!" Yugi cried.

Yami raised an eyebrow, "Trusted me?" "Why couldn't you have just not told, then maybe…" Yugi trailed off and looked away from Yami. "Then maybe what?" Yami asked drawing Yugi's face up to look at his. Yugi sure was something in Yami's eyes, probably the best demon he had ever set eyes on. Why did he hurt him?

"Nothing." Yugi said looking away again. "Tell me." Yami said firmly bring Yugi's eyes back to his roughly. Yugi didn't say anything though and only looked at Yami with hurt eyes still somewhat watery. "You hurt me first if you recall Yugi." Yami said letting go of Yugi's chin. Yugi however didn't look away this time, but instead Yami did. Yugi studied Yami's face for a second then turned to face him sitting on his knee now straight. Yami looked back over at Yugi.

"You wouldn't let me go. You saw what they were doing to my friends!" Yugi said raising his voice some. "Your friends? Where are your friends now? Some friends." Yami said. "They are my friends, I don't blame them for being mad at me! I did something wrong…" Yugi said his voice lowering again. "And now they are gone." Yugi whispered. "You did nothing wrong Yugi." Yami said. " Is love something that is wrong?"

` I love you Yugi can't you see that, I drove them away because…I want you. I want you and no one else shall even touch you but me.' Yami thought. Yugi looked at Yami, "Love?" Yami just studied Yugi for a minuet. ` I was jealous Yugi, so, so jealous, can't you see that? I could see you in this cell; I saw how you cared for them more than you did me. Please Yugi come with me.' Yami was thinking about what he wanted to say but it wouldn't come out.

Yugi scooted closer to Yami, "Love?" He repeated looking into Yami's eyes. Yami couldn't speak he was frozen, he was locked in the gaze of those violet eyes. Yugi raised an eyebrow at Yami, `What is he thinking, why doesn't he speak?' Yugi thought. "Yami?" "Yes Yugi?" Yami finally said. "What's wrong, why don't you answer me?" "Yugi I…" "Your highness!" a voice called from behind.

Yami turned around, "What?" He said coldly. "Sorry to disturb you sir but the two other prisoners, they are escaping." Yugi looked over Yami's shoulder to see the white haired demon known as Bakura. "Do you wish for us to stop them sir?" Yami only smirked, "What do you want to do with them Bakura?" "S-sir?" Bakura questioned. " You want that white haired boy don't you Bakura?" Bakura didn't answer at first, "Well?" Yami said becoming annoyed.

"N-no Sir I don't." Bakura quickly said. "Liar." Yami stated. Yugi sat listening to the two talk about the two he still saw as his friends and he found it disturbing. Yugi tugged at Yami's arm. Yami looked back at Yugi. "How dare you touch his highness!" Bakura yelled from across the room about to come over. Yugi pulled his arm away quickly.

Yami looked at Bakura putting up his hand; "I can handle this, thank you." Bakura nodded and lowered his eyes. "But what about the other two?" Bakura asked again. "Yami?" Yugi whispered. Yami looked down at Yugi, "Yes?" "Please let them go." Yugi pleaded. Yami raised an eyebrow; "They leave you here alone, maybe even to die and you still care about them?" "No matter what they do, in my eyes they are still my friends." Yugi said his head lowered.

`So, so jealous Yugi.' Yami said in his mind. "But Yugi I must keep my servants happy." He smirked and looked in Bakura's direction. Bakura had a look of, `Who me?' on his face. Yami turned to Bakura, "Send out the wolves." Yami said a smirk still on his face. Bakura smirked back, "Yes sir." And then he left.

Yami looked back at Yugi who had wide eyes and a look of shock on his face. Yami looked at him for a bit before saying something, "Yugi? What's wrong?" `What's wrong? What's wrong?!" Yugi thought. "Yami please don't!" Yugi cried grabbing Yami's arm. "Don't what? Oh the wolves?" Yugi nodded holding Yami's arm tighter, "Please they are already hurt, they won't survive!" Yugi cried. `So, so jealous.' Yami rethought. "They will be fine Yugi ok?" "Yami please." Yugi begged. "No! They are not gonna get away fro me! They should die, but I am keeping them alive for you!" Yami yelled.

Yugi stared at Yami his face unreadable, "For me?" Yami nodded. "You care about the SO much that I bet if they died you wouldn't be able to live with yourself. I don't want you like that." "Why?" Yugi asked. Yami hesitated for a minuet, "Well because…I-I …love you Yugi. I won't see you living in pain the rest of your life."

Yugi stared at Yami in shock, `He loves me?!…. He sure has a funny way of showing it…'Yugi thought. "Yami?" "Yes Yugi?" Yami said but didn't look at Yugi. Yugi drew Yami's face to his and looked into Yami's eyes, "Your jealous?" Yami's faced flushed some what. "Are you?" Yugi asked again. "Is that why you hate my friends?" Yami didn't answer.

"Yami they are friends to me and nothing more, I treasure my friends with a love that is a type of brotherly love, it's never intimate." Yugi said. Yami looked at Yugi his face showing some relief. "Yami?" "Yes little one?" "I love you too."

DR00: There you have it chapter 3 now complete and the love crisis begins. I was actually thinking about giving up on this story you know? I have so many other ideas for other stories but I decided to finish this one first for all those ppl who love my stories and wanna read this. ^^ Please review and let me know what you think ok, because if you don't like I will stop typing it and work on something else then.
