A tri-hair colored boy sat on his bed reading his favorite book with his favorite person. "Mom what does that say?" The young girl looked down with soft eyes, they were blue, as blue as the morning sky. "That says, ` They lived happily ever after'." "What does that mean mommy?" She laughed softly, "It means just that little one, they lived happily ever after, which means they were happy for the rest of their lives." She spoke softly.

The boy smiled and jumped into the women's lap, "I love you mom." He said smiling. "I love you too my little light." She tapped his nose, "Now go get changed you need to get ready for bed." The boy jumped up off her lap and ran to his dresser. He pulled out his pajamas and ran in the bathroom with a giggle. The women smiled contently as she put the book away. "Hurry up honey." She called.

"Coming," the boy said. Not long after he came out of the bathroom in his pajamas smiling, "Ready." He said playfully hoping into his bed. The girl sat down next to him and smiled. "Good night." She said tucking him into bed and kissing his forehead. "Goodnight, "he replied with a yawn. "I love you." the women whispered standing up and going to the door. She then turned the light off and left.

The boy had fallen asleep faster than a light switch can turn off a lamp.

~~~~~~~
A little while later a crash from downstairs brought the boy awake. "Mom?" He asked sleepily sitting up and rubbing his eyes. The house was dark and quiet. He got out of bed and went over to his door his one finger in his mouth. "Mom?" He said again but got no answer. He quickly went to his mom's room but didn't find her.
So he went downstairs. The lights were on downstairs and the front doors were open slightly letting the autumn breeze sweep in with a howl. The boy shivered and ran afraid now. "Mom?!" He cried soon coming to the living room area of the large castle. "There he is!" Two large men stood in the living room, the window had been broken and they had entered through it. The boy whimpered and backed up slowly.
The boys mother stood a little bit away, "Get away from him!" she cried running over to block him from the men, she was now standing in-between the boy and the intruders. "Move it lady, he should be allowed to live." One of the men said. "He is only a child!" she cried, "Yes but look at him, he is not human." The man said. "We thought we had finally got rid of all these blasted creatures and now you give birth to this!" The other man said pointing at the boy.
"It doesn't matter, he's not the same as the others. I can teach him to be human," She yelled trying to explain. "Besides you have one too! Over at your castle there is a demon boy just as pure as he is! Your wife gave birth to him!" She said. "No, He is different!" The man said raising his gun. "You leave him out of this! This is about him not my… son!" The man aimed the gun at the boy who was wrapped around his mother's leg tears in his confused eyes. "I mean look at him he is pure evil!"
Crimson eyes looked up at the man stained with tears. "No!" she yelled bending down to block the young one, now facing him. "Move lady don't make me shoot you, I am not after you!" the man yelled. "Mommy?" the boy asked looking into his mother's eyes. "Go, run." She whispered her eyes watering. "But mommy. I'm scared." "It will be ok, I will see you again soon now go!" She pushed the boy some and he fled.
She smiled and then turned around standing up her eyes closed and now releasing tears. "He's getting away!" The first man cried, "Err you will pay!" He said before taking off after the boy. The other guy however didn't budge and stood there his gun raised and a smirk on his face. The boy kept running, even out of the house. He had no where to go but the man was right behind him. The boy turned the corner just dodging a bullet and dashing into the forest. He hid behind some tree's catching his breath but stayed silent.
The man had stopped before entering the woods. The boy was thankful, because he was so tired if the man would have gone into the woods and found him he would have got him for sure. The boy slid down against the tree his eyes closed. They snapped open however when a scream rang out followed by a loud crack of gunfire. The boy's jaw dropped and he couldn't breathe. His eyes filled with tears as his jaw quivered.
The second man soon joined the other standing next to him, "The women is dead sir." "Good, I lost the boy in the forest though." "Oh well, the wolves will surely get him if we don't." The other said. The boy couldn't believe what just happened, they…they killed her! His mom was gone! Soon the two men left, and the boy sobbed crying out as he fell over and threw his fist into the ground. "Mom!" He cried. "Why?!" He laid there for what seemed like an eternity his tears not dying down.
"Why mom, why am I different?" the boy whispered sobbing into the ground. "What do I do now?" He said sitting up rubbing his eyes. His pajamas were now all dirty as he stood up and tried to brush them off. He glanced at the house but instead went deeper into the forest. `They might come back.' He thought.
The boy shivered as he walked through the dark looking around frantically. The boy was now very deep in the woods and it was so scary. `Wait those guys said there were…wolves out here.' The boy suddenly remembered and gulped glancing in all directions. An owl hooted and swooped down on the boy causing him to gasp and fall backwards.
The boy didn't get up though and instead brought his knees to his chest and cried into them. "Mommy I am sorry. If only I was… `normal'." Suddenly the bushes in front of the boy rustled and he looked up eyes wide and mouth agape. Red eyes shown from the green underbrush. The boy slowly backed up against a tree with a whimper. Then out of the bushes jumped a black wolf, a pup. Yugi looked at the pup with his same red eyes. The wolf trotted over to the boy and say in front of him.
The boy didn't move his eyes were no longer on the pup but now on the very large white, adult wolf that stood in the back. The white wolf approached its eyes blue and almost seemed to show concern. The 7-year-old boy however didn't notice it as fear was now surging through his body. The white wolf drew closer striding up gracefully.
The boy whimpered and closed his eyes. The wolf now stood right in front of him, the wolf bringing its face down to the boys level. The wolf sniffed the boy's hair a couple times before pulling back. The pup barked playfully and jumped into the boy's lap. The boy peeked a teary eye open and looked down at the pup. The pup jumped up and licked his face playfully.
The boy wiped his face off on his sleeve and gave a curious look at the mother wolf. The wolf was now sitting in front of him. She raised her ears and nipped at his sleeve pulling on it so he would stand. The boy did the pup jumping out of his lap in the process. She and the pup then began to walk away, but when the boy didn't follow they stopped and looked back. The boy pointed at himself, as to say, `Who me?'
And as if the mother wolf could understand nodded back. The boy cocked his head and just looked for a moment before running after the wolves. The wolves lead him to some sort of cave not far from where they were. The white wolf entered first and lay down not far from the entrance. The black pup followed lying beside its mother gently nuzzling her fur. The mother wolf licked the black ones nose before looking up at the boy. She raised her ears as if beckoning him over.
The boy didn't hesitate as he went into the small shelter too. The white wolf scooted closer and the boy lay down against her. Her soft white fur comforting him. She wrapped he paw around him gently as the black wolf cuddled up against his chest as well. The boy then slowly fell asleep against the white beast, black one against his chest keeping him warm. "Goodnight,…mom." The boy whispered, "And goodnight…Kami." The pup yawned and snuggled closer as the white wolf licked the boy's cheek.
"That was 107 years ago." A saddened voice said. Yugi looked up into crimson eyes, his watery with unshed tears." I am so sorry Yami." Yugi voice was weak. Yami ruffled Yugi's hair, "It's ok Yugi, it wasn't your fault. And it was a long time ago anyway." "But…but I-" Yami put a finger to Yugi's lips, "shush I answered your question now lets forget about it." Yugi kept silent as Yami pulled his finger away. "I mean we have each other now right?" Yugi nodded. "And that's all we will ever need." Yami said kissing Yugi deeply. Yugi was in pure shock almost though.
How could…. His dad, his own father killed Yami's mother!? `No wonder Yami was like that he simply wanted revenge anyone would. But doesn't he still want it, I mean he may like me now but my dad killed his mother!' Yugi thought. Does Yami still want revenge, will he possibly harm me. I wouldn't think so but…then again Yami is evil.'
