Chapter One: A Life Saved

Harsh waves crashed into the side of the royal's ship, the ship rocking with every harsh wave. Lightning danced in the sky as rain poured from the heavens down, upon the ships panicking crew. “Man the sails!” The captain cried, attempting to steer the ship as the waves continued to rock the ship. The crew attempted to do as told, finding it incredibly hard to keep balance upon the rocking ship. “You fuckin' idiots! Fuck the sails! We're taking on too much water! Prepare the life boats!” A silver haired prince hissed, mohgaony eyes narrowing. The crew quickly obeyed, attempting to do as told with the waves knocking them about as the crashed upon the deck of the ship.

With waves striking the deck every few minutes, the ship was bound to sink anytime, and the tanned prince refused to let his crew quit. “Bakura! Look!” The princes look-a-like, younger brother yelled, pointing over board as he attempted to keep his balance as the boat rocked. Bakura quickly cast his eyes to the sea, the waves catching him off guard, and throwing him half way across the deck. “Damn it!” Bakura hissed, standing up, and pulling his brother, whom was thrown as well, to his feet. Both brothers quickly ran to the other side of the ship, attempting to see whatever the youngest prince, Ryou, saw earlier. The ever worsening storm was not making this task easy, tossing them about as they attempted to hang on.

Finally, after much annoyance, the eldest princes mahogany eyes fell on a lone form floating in the water. Someone out in the water in this weather?! The prince thought, clinging to the side of the ship as it was rocked again. “We have to help him!” Ryou cried, attempting to brush silver locks out of his face while clinging to the ships edge for dear life. Knowing full well his brother would forever hate him, and nag him about not helping the man in the sea, Bakura quickly cast his attention to the crew that had tied themselves to the masts, and other objects about the ship. “Which of you would go retrieve that man?!” Bakura yelled, catching a rope that was tossed to him. He received glances from the crew that said `Not on your life!', or `Fuck no!'.

Ryou gave his brother a pouting look, not liking the fact that a possible living person could be sentenced to death, because of the ships cowardly crew. “Fine!” The prince grumbled, tying the tightly around his waist, and then tossing the other end to his brother. “No! Don't!” One of the crew members barked, untying himself to grab the rope. His words fell on deaf ears as the eldest prince shed his soaked, whit, silk shirt, and dove into the water. The youngest prince, and the lone sailor, held the rope tight, attempting to keep balance as the eldest prince finally surfaced in the water.

Gasping for air, the eldest prince attempted to swim to the floating body in the sea. It proved harder then thought as the waves threw him about in the water, his leather boots filling with water. Finding it harder and harder to move as his boots filled with water, he kicked them off before continuing his attempts to save the other man. “Fuck!” The tanned prince growled, watching as the form of the other sunk under water. Bakura dove under as well, his mahogany eyes stinging as the salty sea water flooded into them. The prince's eyes finally fell on the descending form of the other man, and with such grace, that one shouldn't posses while swimming through stormy waters, strong, tanned arms wrapped around the other. The prince cried out in pain, a piece of wood under the water cutting into his forearm, causing the prince to take in a mouthful of water.

The prince struggled to reach the surface of the water, his air supply long since gone, and the burning fire of suffocation was nagging at his lungs full force. After what seemed like hours, the prince surfaced in the water, gasping for air. “Finally!” The elder prince heard his brother and a few crew members that finally untied themselves to help hold the rope, call from the ship. A tanned hand wrapped around the rope as those upon the ship pulled the prince and the unconscious male in his arms, back to the royal ship. Had it not been for the storm, the task would have been easy, but the prince was splashed with wave after wave, before being pulled to the ships deck.

Spilling himself onto the deck, the other male still in his arms, he coughed up a mouthful of sea water, the others keeping their distance until they were sure Bakura needed to be helped. Mahogany eyes fell on the form in the princes arms, studying him with interest. The male has spiky, tri colored hair, and his skin was richly tanned; however, his form was lithe, the poor boy was probably starved. Then, the elder princes eyes fell on the marking on the boys wrist, finding an `S' marked into the boys skin, just above the small wrist. “He's a slave…” Bakura mumbled, finding it hard to believe the unconscious beauty was nothing but a mere slave. “Bakura, are you alright?” Ryou questioned, the crew members prying the male from his arms.

The prince gave a nod of his head, untying the rope from around his waist as he rose to his feet. Shockingly, the harsh waves of the sea stopped, and the rain lightened. “Convient…” Ryou mumbled, poking at the cut along his brother's forearm. He received a hiss in pain, before a tanned hand came to slap at his pale hand. “Don't touch it!” The eldest hissed, moving to walk away from his brother. This is what I fuckin' get for helping someone… Bakura thought, rubbing his forearm, the salty water still lingering in the fresh wound. The hand that was previously rubbing his arm rose to his right cheek, rubbing the scars that lie there. “I give up on fuckin' saving people.” He hissed, the soft drizzle of rain caressing the tanned skin.

The prince cast a quick glance to the boy the crew members were now attempting to wake, wondering how in God's name a slave, of all people, made it out in the middle of the ocean. “I'm going to sleep…” Was the last thing the prince muttered, before heading below deck to do just as he stated. As the prince disappeared from view, deep crimson orbs cracked open, only to see the shirtless prince walking off. “Thank you…” The slave mumbled, before falling unconscious again. The crew was oblivious to the brief wake up from the slumbering slave, and when they noticed the storms exit, they heaved heavy sighs of relief. “No life boats?” The captain asked the youngest prince. “No life boats.” Was reply the young prince gave, a large smile on his face as he gazed at the life saved.

While the attempts to wake the stranger, under the rays of the sun, continued, the eldest prince lay sprawled out on his bed, below deck. “Damn Ryou…No I can't sleep because of him.” The eldest prince grumbled, burying his face in the pillows. No. You can't sleep, because you keep thinking about the slave you saved. His mind reminded, causing the prince to growl, before closing his eyes in an attempt to lure him to sleep. Thankfully, the sound of the water crashing lightly against the sides of the ship was enough to make the prince drift to sleep.

While the prince slumbered a good one hundred miles or so away, a certain prince was missing his slave….

“Jou, get your ass in here!” An ice blue eyed prince shouted, his fist pounding against a table in front of him. Seconds later, a blonde walked in clumsily, honey brown eyes one the prince. He gave a slight bow before speaking, “What can I do for you, my prince?” The slave asked, hoping the prince had not found out what he did. “Where is Yami?!” The prince barked, brown hair falling lazily into those ice blue eyes of his. The blonde gave a shrug, gaze falling on the ground. The prince growled, rising to his feet to gaze outside the window of the ship. “Find him. I don't want to find another fuckin' pleasure slave.” The prince hissed, ice blue eyes narrowing at the blonde. With a slow nod of the head, the blonde quickly left the room. Can't find the slave I threw overboard. The blonde, Jou, thought. “Seto, my lovely prince, you will never see that slave of yours again.” The blonde mumbled to himself, resuming his usual business.
