Chapter 1

The hands that looked like pale spiders reached out and grabbed her neck pinning her to the wall behind her. The hand kept tightening it's grip on her neck.

Tobias shot up. She was drenched in sweat. `Why do I keep having this dream?' She mentally asked herself.

Her eyes flicked to her digital clock. It was 6:30 am. Tobias barely stifled a yawn. Deciding that she couldn't possibly get anymore sleep she swung her feet off her bed stood up and stretched.

Tobias could hear heavy breathing coming from the bed across the room from hers. `Good. At least Kori's still asleep,' she thought to herself.

Tobias stealthily tip-toed to the door and carefully opened it trying her best not to make a sound. `Might as well get the mail…' She thought to her self.

Walking down the main hall she picked up the mail and went into the kitchen. Bill, postcard from Aunt Beatrice, and two odd letters. One was addressed to her and the other was addressed to her cousin.

`I'll open up mine,' she mentally decided.

Dear Ms. Johnson,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been expected into Hogwarts School of Withcraft and Wizardry. Do to your age we have placed you in fifth year. Term begins on September 1st. Please go to the Leaky Cauldron in London to get your school supplies.

1 cauldron (pewter, standard size 2)

1 set of glass or crystal phials

1 telescope

1 set brass scales

1 wand
