Usual Useful Disclaimer: I do not own Yugioh but my sister wishes that I did. The people that own it own Yugioh. I don't know who they are so don't ask. There are some characters in here that I do own though. They would be as follows: Aluna is based on me, Alyna is Aluna's Yami and is also based on me, Angel is my sister and she has Yami Angel for the Millennium Ring. Angelque is a friend of ours, Emily is another one of our friends, Samantha is a friend of a friend and she felt like being portrayed in this story. Theo is my second best friends' character so I don't have bragging rights to her. So don't bug me about how crappy this story is.

Aluna: We won't bug you but the fans might

Aluana (this is me): Oh be quiet you. Or I will put you in an awful pairing, like maybe Malik and you?

Alyna: Don't you dare put her with him! If you do, I will personally send you to the Shadow Realm.

Aluana: Don't bother. I'm the Authoress. You haven't threatened me. *while waving her hand like a Jedi*

Alyna: I haven't threatened you.

Aluana: Good. Now get to your change rooms everyone.

Yugi: Why do we have to go and get ready for a fanfic?

Aluana: Because I told you to!

Joey: Well we don't wanna go to our changin' room!

Tristan: Ya! We aren't going!

Aluana: Well to bad! I activate my Authoress powers and force you to go to your change rooms and get ready for the fic!

*as the girls are leaving the set*

Angel: Well that went really well, didn't it?

Angelque: Ya whatever. I think this is a boring fic so far. And we haven't even shown up! The nerve!

Theo: Ya what ever she said.

Aluana: Oh I forgot the Notes section! Well this is it.

Notes: for a scene change and ~~~~~~~~~~~~ for a POV change. Okay I think that's it so far.

Chapter 1: A Strange Beginning

A long time ago, in a land called Egypt, a pharaoh named Yugioh ruled. His brother wanted the Egyptian throne for himself and he tried to take it and failed. His soul was ripped to shreds and sent all over the Shadow Realm. The few pieces that didn't pass on were put inside the Millennium Ring and have staid there for over 5000 years. Yugioh put a spell on the Ring so it would never find a body to stay with but it has found its way to an unsuspecting young lady. Her name is Angel and she is a major part of the pharaoh's descendents' way to finding his destiny. The pharaoh had his soul placed in the Millennium Puzzle where it will rest until his descendent puts the Puzzle together. Then his soul will be released and he will begin his path to becoming the Pharaoh once again. His descendent, Yugi Muto. And this is Yugi's story.

"Come on Grampa! I'm going to be late for school! And we have a new student coming in and I promised the principal that I would show them around!" the young short boy called up to his grandfather. Yugi had been an only child his entire and he had a lot of friend that he counted as part of his family. Well most of them any ways. First there was Tea. She is taking ballet classes and is looking for a place to put her ballet studio for when she is finished taking classes. Then there is Joey and Tristan. Yugi saved their buts once so they became fast friends. Then there was Bakura. He is a transfer student from Britain and was welcome in the school as a punching bag. But when Yugi became friends with him and Joey challenged one of the bully's to a fight with fists, the bully's backed away from Bakura. After that one it was about a year since Yugi had made any new friends. Yugi breaks out of his daydream and looks at his watch. "Grampa would you hurry up please? I have to get going! And I hope the new student hasn't left for school or that Joey and Tristan haven't gotten to them."

Grampa comes down the stairs and hands Yugi a box.

"What is it, Grampa?" Yugi asks Grampa.

Grampa replied, "What does it look like to you, Yugi?"

"A box. Well I have to be leaving now so I will put this in my room for now and take a look at it when I get home from school. See ya Grampa!" Yugi called as he left the house/ game shop.

******* ~ The Ashuka House ~ *******

Yugi came up to the door of the fairly large house and rang the bell. After a few minuets, the door opens and a young girl that is about the same age as Yugi, though a fair bit taller, peeks out. "Oh! You must be the person assigned to escort me to school! I'm Aluna Ashuka and you are?"

"My name is Yugi Muto and I am to show you the way to school and to all of your classes. If you will follow me?" Yugi replied.

"Oh yes of course!" Aluna steps out side wearing her school uniform of a pink blouse and a blue skirt. This was the uniform for the girls at Domino high. It surprised Yugi to see that the new student had her uniform already.

****** ~ Domino High School ~ *****

"This is the school. I hope you can find your way around. I still get lost sometimes. Here I'll show you to the office where you can get your schedule." Yugi showed Aluna to the office where she got her schedule. "Oh goody! We have the same classes for the day! Come on! We'll be late for class!" Yugi ran off, his uniform trailing behind him.

Aluna followed as close as possible without making a scene. "Where are we going, Yugi? It seems that we have been running for a long time."

We're heading to the classroom. I'll give you a full tour after school. Is that okay with you?"

"Ya that's okay. I'll have to stick around you for a while." Aluna said as they walked into the classroom. 'Oh my' she thought to herself 'A lot of people. I don't know if I could stand it in there.'

"Every one, meet Aluna Ashuka, our new student. Some of you might have already met her like Yugi and Tea." The teacher said.

The class started to whisper as Aluna took her seat next to a blond boy. He leaned over to whisper in her ear "I'm Joey Wheeler. Pleasure that you chose to sit by me and little Yug back here."

Aluna blushed at that statement. "Thank you, Joey. I hope that we will be seeing more of each other during the year, not just at school."

"Ya. Hope so, too"

The rest of the day was very uneventful except for lunch. During lunch, Yugi was sitting with his usual group of Tea, Joey, Tristan, and Bakura. Aluna was standing in line to get her lunch when the local bully, Keith, decides to try to cut in front of her. It ends up with Keith on the floor with a bruise forming on the left side of his face from where she had kicked him.

"You want to try that again, bully?" she said.

"Uh-uh. Nope. No way. I won't bother you any more." Keith said from the floor as he got up.

Aluna finished getting her food and looked for the table Yugi and the others.

"What was that?" Tristan asked.

"Just something I learned as a child."

After a while, Aluna got up and motioned to Yugi for him to follow her. They left the lunchroom and found an empty classroom so Aluna could talk to Yugi.

"Do you know why I called you here, Yugi?" Aluna asked before turning around to face Yugi.

"No. Why did you bring me here, Aluna?"

"This." As she said this, she turned around and pulled the collar down from her uniform. That showed a necklace made of gold and it had an eye in the center that looked familiar to him. He finally remembered where he had seen it. It was the same eye that was on the box that Grandpa had given to him! "This is the Millennium Necklace. I can look into the past and future of a single life thread at a time. Do you still find me interesting Yugi Muto?"

"If I don't already, I do now." Yugi replied.

"Then you will live a lonely life."

The bell rang just as they finished their lunch so they ran to get their books and other stuff for their next class.
